to her knowledge,  the height she has was—  just average;  perhaps a couple of centimeters more than the average japanese woman's height,  if they were being more accurate.  in the face of the other's stature,  however,  she understood that all of those statistics paled tremendously.

was being tall advantageous to one's survival ?   seth's words seem to imply it  ( but then again,  these words were quite lighthearted )  ——  from the vast knowledge she knew though,  no solid conclusion could be made.  not that it matters much ...      ❛   i have long reached the age past the opportunity for that.   ❜      she states it simply,  though the truth of it is that she is unable to grow in the manner that all organic life is able to at all.

the image she was made to bear is that of a 20 year old woman,  and in a way,  perhaps one may have viewed that kind of life as  ‘ immortal ’.  but was it a life in the first place ?   and even then,  she is distantly aware that there is a limit to this time  ...  worrying about ladders and  ( the extremely unlikely chance )  of a growth spurt seemed silly to think of in hindsight.  one might say to make the most of it  —  such was the view most had with life in general  —  but hakuno doesn't really understand.

the woman merely appeared perfectly pleasant,  making a sound of a curious hum as if contemplating.  it is followed with a dainty finger resting against the curve of her chin.      ❛   however,  if you are so concerned about this height of mine,  i believe you would be an apt substitute for a ladder.    ❜
