Ingmar Bergman's Waiting Women is also known by its slightly racier American title, Secrets of Women. Both titles are apt. Four women are waiting at the summer home of the Lobelius family for their husbands to arrive. Each is married to one of the four Lobelius brothers, who run the family business. When Annette (Aino Taube) complains about the lack of intimacy in her marriage to Paul (Håkan Westergren), the other three respond with stories about their marriages. Rakel (Anita Björk) tells how her confession to an affair with an old flame caused her husband, Eugen (Karl-Arne Holmsten), to threaten suicide. Marta (Maj-Britt Nilsson) tells of her affair with the youngest of the Lobelius brothers, Martin (Birger Malmsten), who wanted to break free from the family business and become an artist in Paris. Marta discovered that she was pregnant with Martin's child, but when she went to tell him, his brothers had just arrived to tell him that their father has died and he's needed back home to run the company. She decided to have the baby on her own, but Martin returned to marry her. The oldest, Karin (Eva Dahlbeck), tells of attending a party with her husband, Fredrik (Gunnar Björnstrand), who scolded her on the way home afterward for wearing a dress that he thinks is too décolleté. We have already seen how pompous Fredrik can be in the scene in which the brothers try to persuade Martin to give up la vie bohème and join the business, but Fredrik loosens up a lot when he and Karin are trapped overnight in an elevator. It's one of Bergman's best early films, with his usual bittersweet comedy touch that he would perfect in Smiles of a Summer Night (1955), though it's decidedly pre-feminist in its outlook: Contemporary viewers may wonder why marriage seems to be the only object in view for these intelligent women.

Konstnärsfondens traditionsenliga stipendieutdelning ägde rum på Waldemarsudde tisdagen den 5 juni – 2018. Under prisceremonin berättade stipendiaterna om sig själva och vi kunde även lyssna till vacker sång och musik. Efter ceremonin begav sig alla till Prinsens kök där ett glas vin (med påfyllning) och en gourmettallrik väntade oss. Konstnärsfonden grundades 1982 för att fira Sigvard Bernadottes 75 års dag. Talanger prisas varje år med stipendier inom musik, teater, design och målning. Stipendierna möjliggör en utveckling tidigt i karriären och många stipendiater har sedan blivit riktigt stora konstnärer. Stipendiekommitten består av erkända konstnärer från hela konstnärsvärlden och stipendieutdelningarna ses som en höjdpunkt under året. Under alla år har så många som 150 stipendier delats ut till lovande talanger.

På Vänkvällen den 1 mars på Fasching fick vi höra fyra mycket duktiga musiker från Sverige, Estland och Island.

Anna Greta Sigurdardottir piano, Håkan Broström alt/sopransax, Mai Agan elbas och Sebastian Ågren trummor.

Agan/Broström Spirit är ett samarbete mellan saxofonisten, kompositören och arrangören Håkan Broström och Mai Agan - stjärnbasisten från Estland som är utbildad i Sverige och även verksam här.  

Mai Agan och Håkan Broström spelade egna kompositioner - deras musik blandar genrer och hämtar influenser både från den svenska och den estniska musiken - vackra melodier, mäktiga improvisationer och grooviga basspel.

Anna Greta Sigurdardottir piano, som bla framgångsrik turnerat med projektet Björkologi - jazzanpassade arr på isländska Björks låtar.

Visiting friends and family!

Marianne now lives with Håkan, which really warms my heart. Talk about a love that needed time to grow and find it's shape <3

Cousin Gustav lives next door, with his wife Tomoko.

And so, all good things must come to an end.

Marianne decides to move to Del Sol Valley, with Gustav. Not long after Gustav will move out (to the house next to her!) and get married to Tomoko Yamaguchi. And Marianne, she will find her way back to Gustav's father Håkan who moves in with her and eventually marries her.

Ingrid stays with her mother in Oasis Springs, enjoying her life as a body builder and raising Kjell.

Ebba, she says goodbye to her brother Kjell for now. She can't wait to start her new life - over at Moonwood Mill! Bring it, Gen 10!
