I carefully walked slowly through the street, it was a chilly autumn night in the streets of Japan, the breeze swaying in between strands of my h/c hair, a quiet night, just me and the slight wind, snug kimono and contentment overflowing me. Suddenly, a man and a little girl appear before me, he looked around 20, with a girl attached to his hip. I took in the man and his sisters general appearance. The man was skin and bones, and wore a brown torn up kimono, his hair was black and scruffy, tied into a bun, and I was pretty sure I could smell him all 10 feet away. The little girl had white hair and also looked like she was deprived of food and water. A pang of hurt swelled up inside of me seeing they’re starvation so obvious with their sunken torsos and rib cages showing, a surge of compassion came right after as I gained the courage to speak up. “Hey, what’s your name? I’m y/n” I said softly, while tapping his bony shoulder. His head snaps towards me, his dull blue eyes blown out and red shot. I couldn’t even get a word in before he just..ran away.

- it would take you a couple tries to get his trust, you gave him and his sister food, stitched up some of his torn clothes, a bunch of stuff.

- eventually, he let you in slowly, but just because it took him a long time to trust you, don’t think it took him a long time to fall in love with you..

- he fell first, and harder.

- he calls you his “sun-ray” while talking about you.

- when he goes to sleep he thinks about how much better you deserve while he tears up. You don’t need a burden like him, he was convinced.

- he feels like he shouldn’t even look at you, with him being so ugly, unclean, dirty.

- yet when you grab his cheeks and look into his eyes he just melts into your touch and hesitantly starts kissing your hands.

- when he sees you with ume he almost cries every time. Seeing his sister be so loved by some he so loves..

- his lips are chapped, so it’s not pleasant to kiss but he puts all of his love into his kisses you barely notice his chapped lips.

- sometimes he just breaks down because he can’t pay for a proper wedding to marry you.

- his sister ADORES you. You guys brush each others hair, look at pretty kimonos together, it’s so fun :(.

- he’s always at your home despite feelings horrible about it. The first time he came over he didn’t move an inch from the front door for about 10 minutes because he kept saying he was too dirty to walk in your home.

Gyutaro - Dating Headcanons ๋࣭ ⭑⚝

╰┈➤ It takes him quite a while to get used to the new relationship dynamics you have. He's overthinking a lot and doesn't know what to do at first. Trust me tho, when he gets the hang of it, finally, he'll be the sweetest boyfriend he can be. He'll sure try!

╰┈➤ Gyutaro will take anyone who shows him genuine affection and care. Male, Female, Non-binary, it doesn't matter. He's simply happy to have you.

╰┈➤ Gyutaro is usually the big spoon, occasionally he'll be the little spoon, it makes him feel better. Like he doesn't have to be the one to deal with every problem all the time, finally rest and be vulnerable.

╰┈➤ If you have long hair, he'll brush it and braid it. He used to do the same thing for Daki back when they were human, and it brings him comfort. He'll be over the moon if you do the same for him. Gyutaro is pretty touch-starved, so when your fingers go through his hair, brushing it, braiding... he'll melt.

╰┈➤ He isn't fond of mirrors. Even though he learned to be proud of his ugliness at some point, he's like that only with other people around. When he's alone, he truly hates his appearance. He'll often doubt himself, wondering if he even deserves you and all the good things that happened to him so far. Gyutaro will then claw at himself, muttering insults and curses directed at himself, well, at least until you find him and get him busy with cuddling with you instead. He'll need a lot of comfort and reassurance from you, but eventually he'll feel better.

╰┈➤ Expect a lot of random gifts from him. Pretty rocks, flowers, hairpins, sweets or anything he'll find good enough will go straight into your hands. Gyutaro will make sure that everything he brings makes you happy, so overtime he's gonna bring more and more stuff that you may like and find useful. Favourite sweets, accessories that go well with your favourite pieces of clothing, random trinkets in your favourite colour. Gyutaro will make sure to pay attention to your preferences.

╰┈➤ There will be a lot of learning, that's for sure. Gyutaro grew up poor and unlike his sister he didn't get great education afterwards. He can read and write alright, but his handwriting is pretty wonky and looks like chicken scratch, he makes hiragana and katakana characters look complicated or unrecognisable— he'll need help with reading too, he can read kanji of course, but it takes him a good minute or two to remember it's meaning.

╰┈➤ Since Gyutaro and his sister reside in the entertainment district of Yoshiwara, your dear demon boyfriend will make sure that no-one bothers you, and if they do...well, he'll take care of them alright. He's very protective of you and his sister, so anyone who messes with you or her will get the same treatment.

╰┈➤ It took a while for Daki to finally accept you. She wasn't very fond of you at the begging, but she grew to tolerate you. She doesn't see you as an equal tho, but she doesn't see any human as such, so it's nothing to worry about. Daki is acting pretty nice around you actually, putting on the sweet facade she also uses in the presence of Kyogoku House's owner. She'll keep all the nasty things she has to say to herself. At the bottom of her heart she is happy that her brother found someone for himself, and she doesn't necessarily want to ruin it.

╰┈➤ Gyutaro will ask you to become a demon. Once in a while he'll bring it up in a conversation, asking if you'd want that. If you refuse, he'll just ask you another time, but if you agree, he'll be more happy to give you his blood so you can join him and his sister.

╰┈➤ He probably doesn't have fleas anymore! Probably.

╰┈➤ It's very surprising, but from time to time Gyutaro tries to show off, prove that's he's good enough for you. He knows he isn't handsome, so if he's not gonna be the good-looking boyfriend, he'll be the strong one. Gyutaro will show off his strength a lot, at some point he'll also want to teach you about fighting with his sickles if you're willing to try. Gyutaro enjoys fighting, it's the first thing he was actually good at, so doing something related to it with you will bring him a lot of joy.

╰┈➤ He's pretty shy if it comes to kissing, but he'll try to be more confident for you. Just be patient with him, he still has so much to learn.

╰┈➤ It's not a surprise, but you're actually his first partner. Back when he was human people wouldn't go near him if possible, after he became a Demon people were even more terrified of him, so it's truly a miracle that he has you with him now.

╰┈➤ If you have a bit of a tummy, then there's nothing to worry about! Gyutaro will be very happy about that, after all it means that you're eating well and you don't go to sleep with an empty stomach. It makes him glad, knowing that you don't have to worry about the same hunger he felt so many times as a human. Besides, he'll love to lay his head on your stomach during your cuddling sessions.

╰┈➤ If you like painting your nails, he'll do it with you. Gyutaro has naturally dark nails ever since he became a demon, so if you like having black nail polish on, it will make him feel great. After all, you two now match! Any other colour will be fine too, but he's still more comfortable with darker shades.

╰┈➤ Well, Gyutaro never had the greatest hygiene, but for you'll he'll try his best. He likes when you take care of it tho, he can then do the same for you afterwards and it brings him comfort.

╰┈➤ he likes listening to your talking. You can yap about anything to him for hours and he'll just sit there with a dumb grin on his face, happy to learn more about your interest or the topics you like.

╰┈➤ Gyutaro doesn't have to sleep since he's a Demon, but from time to time he'll happily take a nap with you, and he'll definitely enjoy it.

╰┈➤ Once, when there was a spider in the room and you asked him to take care of it... he ate the damn spider. After that you begged him to never do that again, and now he just throws them out or kills with one of his sickles.

★ First off , I feel like Daki was probably the one to first discover you ( this might be a little controversial ). Daki , and her brother Gyutaro , were doing their nightly rounds around the district when they separated for a little while. In that time span , Daki first saw you when she was looking into your house through a window.

★ She just couldn’t help but stare at you !!

★ She made sure to tell her brother to not eat you. Over the next couple of weeks , Daki would talk non-stop about you. It got to the point that she was forcing her brother to help her stalk you. I guess you could say that Gyutaro fell in love with you unintentionally.

★ It was actually Gyutaro’s idea to kidnap you. At first , Daki was very suspicious of her brother being in love with you ( because she thought he had sinister intentions ). But that soon wore off pretty fast when she realized that they could protect you better when there is two of them.

★ Once they actually kidnap you , it is going to be super chaotic, because they are fighting about who can cuddle you first. It does take them a while to realize that you have woken up. Once they introduce themselves, I doubt that they will put up with you crying. As we all know , Gyutaro and Daki have very little patience for that stuff.

★ But don’t worry !! Everything will get better ! Once you all get more comfortable with each other it is great. Occasionally, Daki will throw a tantrum about something Gyutaro said. It is during these tantrums that she will snuggle up to you , and whine about how sucky her big brother is. Sadly you can’t comfort her , because Gyutaro will be mad if he hears you bad mouthing him.

★ Gyutaro really likes it when you let him lay on your chest after he comes back from a meeting with Muzan. He just can’t believe that he can finally love someone as wonderful as you !

★ The siblings do fight about who can sleep with you at night. Once it got so bad that you had to break it up , and tell them that they should take turns. One night , you stay in Gyutaro’s room , and the next in Daki’s room. Gyutaro probably buys you a lot of expensive stuff. And Daki really enjoys playing with your hair.

★ Sadly, once they have kidnapped you , have no chance of ever stepping foot outside again, they are not afraid to punish you for stuff like that.

❄️Winter Gyutaro Headcanons❄️

I don’t believe i made a headcanon list before but since I’ve seen millions of them, i want to try. this is how my specific Gyutaro headcanons would go during winter!

-This will contain (x Reader) but not all will be

- Is vague enough to be either romantic or platonic

Gyutaro hates Winter: it’s obvious he would despise the cold season the most; its the hardest season to survive in and it brung back some uncomfortable feelings from lost human memories. Especially that day when he had found Ume… it was the coldest day in his life, it seemed

Gyutaro is less active: Its common knowledge that demons aren’t bothered by simple earthly things like weather, but Gyutaro finds comfort in warmer weather. His malnourished frame doesn’t help him either as his bones crack and ache. Often, he’ll find himself cradled within Daki or within the warm house of his prized person.

Gyutaro is miserable and depressed more: this demon has always been pessimistic but just like many humans, he gets hit with seasonal depression and it hits him hard. So hard that Daki will hunt more to compensate for his lack of enthusiasm. One time, he stayed face down on the ground in Daki’s room for hours, just being depressed because she was out.

He secretly likes the holidays: Gyutaro doesn’t particularly believe in any sort of holiday but he will use them to indulge in Daki. He will pamper his little sister with stolen fabrics and jewels from far away to make her shine with happiness.

His smell is bearable: Since he’s less active and its not horrendously hot, Gyutaro’s bodily odor doesnt come off as bad! Plus, this is the one time he will wash up at vacant hot springs. Hot water relaxing his tension, the steam concealing his figure, maybe a quick snack too if someone catches a glimpse him too.

He’s slightly weaker: after all that time, he hunted less than he should’ve so he does seem weaker after the new years… hes already thin as is but it hurts your heart to see him walk slower, move with less power. He reminds you of those old scraggly stray dogs walking in the snow covered city…

Hes vulnerable/emotional: Despite being so close to him; he never opens up about his current problems to you or Daki but during winter, his shell cracks ever so slightly! If you are perceptive enough, you may be able to nurse his traumatic scars just a little bit. It may not be much, but to him, its the world.

( This actually isnt based off of Rasshu x Gyutaro for once, i just know a bit of Gyutaro stans that are really sweet so, yeah… its based off of those peeps even tho i know they wont beable to see this cuz tumblr be damned to them grawhaha )

Kinda took on the role of being their band's manager before they got one

Always has his hair in his signature ponytail and fans absolutely swoon over him

Fans often mimick his hairstyle when they go see him in concerts

Douma and Gyutaro once dared him to smash his guitar on stage and he gave them an earful about how much of a waste that would be and how he would rather just give it to someone with his autograph on it

Which he did, several times

Will stick up for his fellow band members, yes even Douma, when interviewers pry too much and will tell them to fuck off with poise

Doesn't know how social media works

On selfies with fans he looks like a dad, squinting with his glasses on into the camera, a confused look present on his face

Douma

Lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist

Absolutely adores the spotlight and being in the center

The most scandalous member, having been officially kicked out of the band on more than one occasion

Akaza is usually fucked to share a room with him and it doesn't help their bond at all because he will still bring fans up to their shared rooms

Has like 10 names of different exes tattooed on him, broke up with all of them within a month of dating

His name is always headlining in the papers, but it's okay because his paparazzi pictures are just to die for

Also has the best selfies with fans, he somehow, always manages to look good

Writes songs that aren't appropriate to listen to with your parents in the car

Like absolute filth

When Kokushibo doesn't feel like dealing with annoying interviewers he hands them over to Douma who roasts the shit out of them, an innocent smile on his face during the whole ordeal

Always late to practice but Kokushibo lets him as he brings a lot of attention to the band

Akaza

Drummer

Has the sweetest singing voice ever, and writes the cutest songs to exist, like tooth rottingly sweet

Looks rough with all his tattoos and piercings but is the sweetest, kindest, loveliest bub

Does get a bit shy around fans though but always listens to them and gives them his time

Slept with a fan once and that fan is now engaged to them, they have the cutest relationship and the band loves his partner to bits too

Paparazzi photo's are almost always with his partner! Did once knock a pap's lights out as they were crowding around his partner and they got scared

Speaks the least during interviews, Kokushibo does try to get him out of his shell however by handing him the mic

You'll hear him stumbling over his words and Douma's just laughing ten times louder than Akaza's speaking because he finds his embarrassment amusing

Has the cutest selfies with fans where, for example; he and the fan in question make a heart together with their hands yes his partner's okay with that

Gyutaro

Bassist

Newest to the group but gets along well with everybody, especially with Douma

Douma dotes on him a lot, calling him his little brother and ... encourages him to enjoy the company of his fans

Doesn't have a lot of 'solo' fans yet but his band mates always keep an eye out for his fans and point at them for Gyutaro when they spot them in the crowd

Gyutaro gets really excited when he spots his fans and always waves sweetly at them, mouthing thank you's over and over at them

Also doesn't talk a lot during interviews. What Kokushibo does for Akaza, Akaza does for Gyutaro

What Akaza also does a lot is when he gets passed the microphone to speak by Kokushibo, he immediately passes it over to Gyutaro, a kind smile on his face as he encourages him to speak

Douma is the worst influence on him as they once got to band practice drunk and late

Wrote a song together with Daki and they performed it together where she sang

Was really uncomfortable with selfies with fans in the beginning but is getting better at it!

Still a blushing mess on all of them however

Didn't realize he didn't have to follow everyone back on instagram at first

Enjoys theme park dates as it's one of the flashiest places to be, he likes to go on all of the fastest rides but if you're afraid of any rides, he simply won't go on it as ultimately the date is about you and him spending time together

Has a colourful and flamboyant dress sense; he would have painted fingernails like in the show, and would enjoy wearing shiny jewelry like beaded necklaces, bracelets, and the like. The difference between his dress sense in the show and in the modern world would be that he'd look less like a ninja and more like just a sexy well-dressed man who grabs the attention of any room he walks into

He gets a lot of romantic attention, but he doesn't so much as look at anyone else. He's completely devoted to you and you see this by how he's straight up dismissive towards those that hit on him, no matter how attractive they are. He's a little blunt with people, not even sugarcoating it, just telling them straight up that he isn't interested at all which can lead to some disgruntled admirers

Often puts a possessive arm around you when you're out together, he's confident that nobody could ever take you away from him but he still likes to show off that you're all his. If he ever catches anyone checking you out, he gives them a slight smirk and a total 'too bad you can never have what's mine' look

Despite not quite being a ninja like in the actual show, he is still a star athlete and knows martial arts so your Tengen is still an absolute hunk

He's entirely unafraid of confrontation so if anyone ever tries to bother you, he'll immediately push them away and say a firm "Back off." Then, if they don't scurry off at that point, well, they better be worried because he's more than happy to show off his martial arts in front of you

He rides a flashy red motorcycle and loves to have you ride on the back of it, clinging onto his muscular body as he zooms down the highway blasting music

He communicates his love to you through touch; holding your hand, kissing you, and securely wrapping an arm around your waist in public. Behind closed doors, he becomes even softer and more affectionate, holding you as you kiss and feel each other's body heat. He doesn't show this side of himself on the surface, but he actually enjoys being held sometimes, looking up at you with raw love in his eyes as he twirls your hair between his fingers and tells you how beautiful you are

Loves gaming with you. I bet you play a bunch of Mario Kart together and, whilst he can get competitive, he's always proud of you when you put forth a good performance. I bet, to your surprise, he's a Peach main as he considers her the flashiest and most well-dressed character. I can also see you both bonding over doing puzzle games. You two were intertwined in a blanket, warm, with your head resting on his chest and his arms wrapped securely around you. This was your usual position as a couple. Generally, he would hold you.

"Hehe, your arms are so big and strong..." You said as you felt his firm muscles.

He smiled and responded, "My guns only got flashy from years of hard work. Glad you can enjoy 'em."

However, truthfully, there was something on Tengen's mind; something he wanted, but he simply didn't know how to communicate it. He paused, before awkwardly saying, "Hey, uh... My love?"

He never sounded this awkward, ever. "What's the matter?" you asked.

"How about... Just to switch things up, um... How about we try you holding me tonight?"

Wow! The macho, strong, and dominant Tengen asking to be held. That's quite the thing. But, the idea of holding him and giving him comfort? How wonderful. You were just surprised he wanted this, if anything.

You smiled, "Is that what you want?"

He felt awkward again. He had a few exes, and he had never asked any of them to hold him. He felt like it'd ruin his image as this tough guy who never needs comfort, but with you, he thought he could finally be himself. He sighed and spoke the truth, "Yes please..."

"Well, ask and you shall receive~" You said, as you switched position and he rested his head on your chest. He blushed.

"Do you like that?" You asked, stroking his back nurturingly. He nodded. "Yes. Very much, my love."
