-Semainier Ring- This ring was inspired by the Tuareg 'Bague Semainier'. Semaine in French means week which explains why it’s composed of 7 individual rings. Using the same Tuareg silversmithing techniques it was entirely hand fabricated, all parts forged on the anvil from 950 silver. Engraved using a sharpened nail. No castings No electric tools. Who came up with the idea of wearing jewelry in the first place?

How did you come up with the idea of putting stones on chains, wearing earrings, and decorating your fingers?

A little history:

💫The first jewelry appeared 75,000 years before our era. They were not worn for beauty, of course, but as distinguishing signs and talismans against evil spirits.

💫The first ornaments were made of horns or teeth of animals that were hunted.

💫A few millennia before our era, people begin to make tools of everyday life from stone. Figurines of idols and gods were made of colored stone. This is how people began to develop a sense of aesthetics.

💫 The first to wear stone jewelry was in Egypt. A little later in Greece and in Rome.

💫 Later in the Middle Ages jewelry began to symbolize the Christian faith. There was a demand for jewelry making and the production of jewelry began to be controlled and checked for quality.

And it is true, jewelry with different stones have a wonderful amazing power that attracts the eye and bestows its wearer with beauty !
