Can I request a silly little Drabble Renee/Mc in step 2 at prom and slow dancing with each other but it’s SUPER awkward since Renee is a big lovable dork who has a crush on Mc?
Renee and reader at prom!!!
A/N at the end <3
You were sitting down at you and your friends’ table. They were off dancing and chatting away, but your feet were a little too tired to do that. The shoes you wore were nice, but you didn’t expect that they would be so uncomfortable after a couple of hours.
So, there you were, sipping your drink, phone in hand so you can take pictures of your friends to send it to them later. The music was a little too loud for your liking, but as long as you were doing something with your hands, you could ignore it.
Suddenly, you heard the sound of a chair moving right next to you.
Almost spilling your drink on yourself, you turned around. With the harsh pink lighting from the ceiling of the gymnatorium, you could make out the face of Renee.
As soon as your eyes met, she froze up, giving you an unsure grin and waving her hand at you.
Renee looked nice. Really nice. This was the first time you saw her wearing a red dress, which is a change from her usual pants and sweaters. She looked nervous the entire time that she’s been here, but she also looked happy.
“Hey, Renee.” You smiled at her, unsure of why she’s here. You guys didn’t talk that much, but she always caught your attention. Sometimes, you’d feel her eyes on you when you two were in the hallway. There were times where she’d sit next to you in class, but would keep a safe distance. Her hands would always linger closer, however.
“Hi.” She said, unsure. You didn’t know what to say to that, so you two just ended up in some really awkward pause, where you two would accidentally make eye contact, smile, and look at something else.
She’d glance behind you, and when you turned your head around, you could see Qiu and Baxter throwing her a thumbs up. When they noticed you looking, they immediately turned away and pretended to be dancing with each other. It was a funny scene to see.
You turned back around, and you saw Renee taking a deep breath.
“Do you.. um.” She started, fidgeting with the ribbons on her outfit. You could barely hear her through the loud music, so you scooched closer. On instinct, she almost scooched back, but stopped herself halfway through.
You leaned forward, a kind smile on your face, trying to encourage her to say what she wants to say.
“You look nice!” she blurted out. You frowned a bit, wanting to know what she wanted to ask before.
But then you realized. She just said that you looked nice, and that made you feel giddy.
Pushing your chair closer, you yelled out, “Thanks, you look great too!”
That made her look at you as if you hung up the stars to the sky yourself, and you’re starting to think that you like Renee a little more than you thought.
“Hey, Renee,” you paused, trying to find the right words to say. “-were you asking me if I wanted to dance?”
She looked a little startled from the question, but she knew she was caught. She shifted her gaze down to the floor, placing her hands in her lap, and nodded. Cute.
You got up from your seat, and took her hands. She looked at you in surprise, but you just smiled at her. You took her near the center of the dance floor, and you almost tripped as your feet ached, but she kept a firm grip on you.
Now, you two were just standing there as the slow music played. There were only few students, so you didn’t have to worry about accidentally bumping into anyone.
Your right hand was holding hers, but neither of you dared to make a move. All of your courage suddenly disappeared, and you found yourself with a new type of nervousness that made your heart beat and your palms sweaty.
Renee, with her gloved hand, slowly reached up and pushed away a strand of hair from your face, which slowly became messy as the night went on.
You whispered a small ‘thank you’, and she nodded. For a few seconds, her hands lingered, wondering where she should put it, before you reached for it and placed it on your shoulder.
Surprising her, you drew her closer by placing your hand on her waist.
Now you two were face to face, but she seemed to be looking at anywhere but you. You get it, you’re nervous too. Somehow, you both waltzed to the song and managed not to step on each others feet.
You look around for a second, trying to focus on anything other than Ren’s hand on yours, or her other one on your shoulder, or the way Ren smells really nice, or the way that Ren’s lips are awfully close right now.
Behind Ren, you see Qiu and Baxter taking a picture, and right next to them is Tamarack and her friends glancing at you and smiling.
You rolled your eyes, but you’re too happy for it to come off as rude.
You decided to do something risky. Taking a deep breath, you lean your head on her shoulder.
She let out a noise of surprise, and you were about to regret it, but then she rested her head on yours. It was nice.
Everything was okay for a while.
A/N: WOWOWOOWOW MY WIFEEE >o< !!!!!!!!
this is a really funny request because i was doodling qiu and tamarack in prom... i love my wives

Wednesday October 23
Woke up around 7, tired from staying up until around 1am last night. Literally just watched reels and scrolled reddit all night. Felt like crap. Why? Work was fine, not particularly taxing. It felt almost painful to try and peel my face away from my phone. It’s the same aversion I feel to sitting down and writing. Why? I think that it’s because I feel a pressure to get it done, but also because it’s completely open ended, and I care about how it turns out. I think that I’ve always subconsciously expected that if I really put my mind to it, really took my time and worked at it, that I could write something really good. I remember one day in elementary school there was a sort of career fair, where people with different jobs came into the auditorium and went up on stage and described their job to a bunch of children. A fireman, lawyer? One was an author, and I remember something he said. I can still visualize the scene in my mind, though much of it is probably fabricated. The auditorium doubled as our gymnasium. I think it had a blue rubber floor. It was right next door to the cafeteria, where they folded up the tables with the big round blue seats, four per table. Where once a week they would serve us “pizza”, rectangular acre plots of frozen cheese melted on a doughy flatbread. The pepperonis were greasy little cubes, a quarter-inch squared. It was there that Michael rubbed his popsicle on the ground then ate it. It was there where I would describe to my friends, in line on the way out - it was always lines everywhere, the kindergarteners held their hands together behind their backs in a duck tale and filled their cheeks with air - just now realizing that was so that they’d stay quiet. - I’d tell them about what I would do if a zombie walked in the door right now. I’d push him down then jump on his chest with both feet. The gymnatorium was probably much smaller than it appears in my head now, seen through a lens with twenty five more years of smudges and scratches. The author said at the end of his spiel, ‘you know what the first step to being a good writer is? Being a good reader.’ They had just told me that I was a good reader that year when we took the reading comprehension test in the computer lab. At a tenth grade level. The computer lab connected to the library. I don't think Goosebumps is tenth grade level.

I'm assuming this is a school auditorium, gymnatorium or theater.
I've seen so many weird ass doors like that with some ladder leading up that I wasn't even surprised when I saw this.
First step is a doozy

Week 3: Knowing your rights as student of Northern Caribbean University
Do you know your rights as students of Northern Caribbean University?
Northern Caribbean University is a private Seventh Day Adventist institution that provides Christian based education to students. Just like any other institution, Northern Caribbean University has rights but it is important to note that you the student have rights as well.
Your rights include having access to school facilities, example: library, clubs, micro lab, cafeteria, gymnatorium and even the church. You can enter these premises as you are paying to have access to them. Since you now know that you have this right, you should now enjoy the resources that the school offers. As a student, you also have the right to receive fair and unbiased treatment from lecturers. Each lecturer must treat you with respect and respond to your queries to advance in each course. You have the right to query about your financial records, grades and other transaction. Hence, if you fail a course, you can inquire to see what would’ve resulted in you failing and how best you can attempt to pass it the following semester. Lastly, you have the right to know from your lecturers if you are advancing in the semester before it ends.

This John Rutter anthem takes me back to 7th grade. 7TH GRADE.
While I watched the talent show (it happily took place during school hours in the gymnatorium at Progress Village Middle Magnet School of the Arts, where I attended at the time), I heard two girls sing a duet. It was so pleasing, but I had NO IDEA what they were singing.
Then, the time of the band/choir concert came. (I believe that it was a few weeks after my DF died, and I was clarinettist in the former ensemble.) It turned out that like the choir, the two girls WERE SINGING FOR THE BEAUTY OF THE EARTH! This classical music nerd, still struggling with dial-up at the time, deemed it as one of my favorite choral anthems!
Oh, and the Basilica of St. Peter is on my bucket list, and I do plan to visit Columbia, SC, in the future. Can’t wait to hear (or at least snap a pic of) this 3-manual Peragallo gem accompanying the soprano (Mary Thorny) and tenor (former MD Mark Husey, who is singing from the console)!

Stormwood & Associates: 96. Just Roll On (Challenge of the Robots Part 5)
The robot battle continues in the high school gymnatorium! N.K. has piloted the team through the first round, but two more rounds are ahead of Team Lumina -- including one against The Orb! This... this is not a typical arc of the show, guys. This is a weird (but fun) one.

Hancock Replacement Plan Filed With The City
Several months after a ceremonial groundbreaking, plans for Chicago’s Hancock Replacement have been filed with the city clerk.
No, they’re not replacing the 100-story former John Hancock Center recently neutered in name to 875 North Michigan. We’re talking about the project officially known as “Hancock Replacement” which will build a new John Hancock College Prep School at 5423 West 64th Place, across the street from Grimes Elementary School in the city’s West Clearing neighborhood. If you can’t place it, it’s four blocks south of Midway Airport, and within bread-sniffing distance of the Bimbo bakery across 65th Street in the Village of Bedford Park.
Rendering of the new John Hancock College Prep school
Right now, that space is a dead surface parking lot, so a school with a little over 1,000 students will automatically be a marked improvement.
The school was designed to be 49 feet, eight inches tall, keeping it 82 inches below the maximum height permitted by the FAA because of its proximity to Midway.
The main pedestrian entrance will be mid-block on West 64th Place. Access to the parking lot is on the east end of the block, and bicycle parking is in between. The parking lot will be covered with permeable pavers to allow rain to seep into the ground instead of run off into the sewers.
Rendering of the new John Hancock College Prep school
That bike parking is part of a large plaza taking up the northeast quadrant of this block, which includes a “learning garden.” In the plans filed with the city, it appears to be cross-crossed with well-planned concrete walkways, but expect those to be organically supplemented by goat paths, just as they are at every school from M.I.T. on down.
This school is scheduled to open for the 2021/2022 school year.

Helping Jordan Allen and his mom
New Post has been published on https://goodnewsjamaica.com/news/helping-jordan-allen-and-his-mom/
Helping Jordan Allen and his mom
The Hands of Praise Extension (H.O.P.E) is a non-profit, sign language, ministerial group made up mainly of students from the Northern Caribbean University. Their main aim is to spread the Word of God through music and sign.
Annually, in tandem with their mission, they host the Make it Happen Concert: a benefit concert where all proceeds go to a child in need. The last concert assisted one year old Nazario Smith who suffered from cerebral palsy.
Brandon Anderson, president of the Hands of Praise Extension Group and Northern Caribbean University student, says that the intention of the group is to help children in need, so they can be equipped with the potential to chase their dreams, “the tagline of our group is Helping Other People Excel and that is exactly what we try to do”.
This year (H.O.P.E) is seeking to raise funds for 11-year-old Jordan Allen.
Jordan is currently suffering from an advanced stage of scoliosis and is unable to walk, can barely move, and cannot go to school. His grieving mother, Doreen Allen, states that she is overwhelmed with the fact that her youngest child cannot lead a normal life. “I am asking Jamaica if they could help me, from the bottom of them heart, it’s very hard for me. I have to go to town every other month and sometimes I cant find it”.
This year the concert, which is in aid of Jordan Allen, will be held at the Northern Caribbean University Gymnatorium on March 30th, starting at 7pm. If you are interested in buying tickets or helping Jordan directly, you can call 876-909-5871 or email [email protected].
We are seeking the help of all Jamaicans in broadcasting this story, so Jordan can get the help and support that he needs.
[Below] is a video feature that the group recently did on Jordan.

First Baptist Church Temple - Temple TX
shanksarchitects
West Clearing Getting Ready For New Dore School
The next public school to go up in Chicago will be the replacement for Dore Elementary School. The new school building will go up at 7134 West 65th Street, in the West Clearing Neighborhood. The City issued the construction permit late last week:
Rendering of the new Dore Elementary School
NEW 3-STORY 112,543 SF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND SITE IMPROVEMENTS TO SERVE 1,170 STUDENTS. SITE IS CURRENTLY UNIMPROVED AND VACANT. PROPOSED USE/OCCUPANCY IS C-3 ASSEMBLY UNIT, TYPE 1A SCHOOL.
(New) Dore Elementary School will be built on a vacant lot across the street from a vast tract of warehouses, transfer facilities, and factories leading to Midway Airport. At the same time, it backs into an even larger tract of lovely single-family homes and Chicago-style bungalows leading into the Garfield Ridge, Chrysler Village, and Vittum Park neighborhoods.
The current Dore Elementary at 6108 South Natoma Avenue now packs over 700 students into a building designed for a little over 400.
At capacity, New Dore will have 1,200 students in 51 classrooms. There will also be a library; cafeteria; administrative offices; and a “gymnatorium,” which is either a cheap way of getting out of building both a gymnasium and an auditorium, or some kind of prehistoric duck. For the children’s sake, let’s hope it’s the duck thing.
Construction is expected to be completed next year.

Woodlan School - Unknown
Doom 2 - Single Player - Vanilla - 116.13 KB
Imagine: it's the mid-nineties, you're in high school, and you've carried with you the shovelware Doom CD you snagged at the local computer store. You discovered the packaged map editor for Windows the night before. So when no one's looking, you rush to the computer lab. You install it, set it up, and realize you have opened Pandora's box. Hooray! You can make levels now! Infinite replay value! So, naturally, what will your first real map be? Why, your school, of course! Then upload it with the brand-new Internet thingie, so everyone can see it! That sounds like a recipe to get the feds at your door today, but before two morons decided to shooty-shooty-bang-bang, schools were prime targets for a kid with a map editor. And why not? It's a place a kid would know well, it's orthogonal, there isn't much height variation, and what's cooler than seeing your own life in a video game? The problem with that question is the answer. It's usually not very... good. Don't get me wrong, the notion that you can replicate real-world structures in Doom is a very compelling one. But gameplay-wise, is it worth it? Alright, enough terrible introduction - this is a map of someone's high school. Jack Thompson has nightmare boners about these kinds of levels. After all, a school in a "murder simulator" is just asking for trouble... post-Columbine. But before? No one gave a fuck about it. So go wild! And then you load it up and start a new game and... Oh. PA High this ain't. Lighting is nonexistent. The only plus is that it shows how massive the structures can be in Doom. This is a huge map... on the surface. Dig a little deeper and you notice it's very, very dull. It's not for lack of trying, it's just that some schools don't make for good levels. Schools in America are very utilitarian. Some were built during the Great Depression with blueprints normally used for prison camps. But all that aside, this school does not a good map make. Just a bunch of hallways, few open areas, and a lot of rooms with one monster or nothing in them at all. What a load. So the gameplay is: Run into room. Kill things. Go to the next room. Kill more things. Go to the--yeah. It was about fifteen rooms in that I felt like a disgusting mass murderer, even though they're demons and this is a friggin' video game. Highlights are: a very dark gymnatorium, a cafeteria (with NOTHING in it but a few barrels to simulate trash cans), a courtyard filled with pinkies, and a little "locker room" area. There's even a public speaking room. I know 'em when I see 'em. And, everyone's favorite: teleporter stairs to another floor! They even went as far to model the outside of the school to simulate that you, indeed, are on the second floor. Cute. The only "tough" area was the start, because of mid-tier monsters near the start area. But you're given a super shotgun. The only time I had any challenge is when I loaded up deathz0r's OMGWPNS and set the monster multiplier to 4. Ow, my ass. Speedrunners will love this one: the exit is on the other side of the map, and you don't have to enter the school - just run around it and hit the switch. So that means you're supposed to go inside and kill everything, then go outside and "exit". PROTIP: before you play, make sure your manifesto is ready to go! So why did I review this abomination? Why did I actively look for this and submit it to the /idgames archive? Well, it was one of the first maps I downloaded. Ever. So I have a little bit of affection for this map. Yes, I know, that sounds awful. Given that most of the maps I liked to play in the 90s were school maps, I really wonder if I was supposed to be the insane guy who lost it in high school with a sawed-off. What the hell is wrong with me? Was I just too lazy? This map was unknown for quite some time. I still can't remember where I downloaded it the first time. Mad Butcher on Doomworld Forums was gracious enough to find a copy of it and send it to me, and for that, I am grateful. Another terrible map enters the archive, and I couldn't be happier. It's a shame that the map isn't as good as I remember, when I would godmode all the time and play with the arrow keys. You can skip this one, but I have a strange attachment to it. This is a time capsule for me, so check it out, if only to see what those "first" maps were like. Maps like these aren't made in the current era, unless you consider LA Worlds maps as qualifiers!
