Do you think lightning would ever mingle in the world of illegal street racing? It’s actually really cool and like there’s so many different types. Touge racing is really cool its basically racing through hills. But I think lightning would fair better in cannonball runs, like racing from one point to l another? Yeah idk now that he’s older I just thought he might try exploring different forms of racing and broaden his horizon even if its illegal because lightning McQueen don’t give AF.
I think LMQ probably do give AF, because he’s supposed to be setting a good example and because there’s probably publicity and sponsor hell to pay if you get into legal trouble as a high-profile professional racer--especially if your crimes involve high speeds on public roads. O_o;; Imagine if RS had chosen to actually file charges against rookie LMQ instead of going vigilante justice on him and having him pave their road! (Plus LMQ was the subject of mild ridicule just for being in Thunder Hollow, yet for all its redneck bluster that was a legal, sanctioned racing event.)
But.
On the other hand!
Per the RS example, I do think “legality” has a looser definition if you get real rural, or if you’re on (just for instance) private lands. Especially if you’re on friendly terms with the locals. Re-enacting a moonshine run isn’t that much more legal than going on a real one, haha, but who in Thomasville would be enforcing that?
From the perspective of the racing itself, omgggg I’m sure LMQ would LOVE IT. Love it love it love it.
I’m also certain Raoul ÇaRoule has taken Lightning on some touge and gymhkana trips. Lightning’s been to New Zealand with Raoul like seven times and it’s gotten to the point where outside of the racetrack he’s no longer sure whether he’s driven more miles on the right side of the road or more kilometers on the left.
And LOL can you imagine them planning a Route 66 cannonball run? As part of the process of getting RS put back on the map. The tagline could be a tongue-in-cheek “No one was driving here anyway.” XDDD
LOVE IT.
