(Different anon) Honestly, FIG is such a mess. Between accepting a late inquiry, suddenly deciding to credit Jordan's Gogean (why??), giving Sabrina an OOB when she didn't go OOB (which can't be reviewed because her coach didn't inquire her ND!), it's SUCH a disservice to all the gymnastics who did THEIR jobs properly. Like, had the scoring been accurate, Jordan wouldn't have gotten a bronze, but she did, and taking it away is unprecedented and cruel. They should just give all three bronze.

Exactly. Because of completely incompatible timing and camera systems. And then the CAS just...ignoring it all, using the crutch of the rules, as if the rules aren't there to PROTECT from disasters like this??

It just really makes me sad for everyone. And it's really brought out all the four-year fan cretins too. Gymfans have enough of our own bits of toxic. We don't need the influx of more.

I’m trying to find old gymnastics blogs I used to follow, but tumblr’s algorithm is way off. When I search “gymnastics” I get celebrity news content about Olympians and some routines that have gone viral, but not stuff from actual gym fans. One suggested blog hasn’t posted since 2015!
