the feel of the wind while riding bitch on a suzuki gxr750 doing 110mph

sitting all alone in the black water at the bottom of an old quarry while scuba diving

watching the horizon shift while steering a plane

the sensation of somersaulting out of a pipe jutting out over the edge of a building four stories up, and just having to trust that the ropes and harness will hold after letting go

making a literal life or death call

finding out that it was correct

laying on the siren while running hell bent for leather down the highway in a seventeen ton, screaming-red, toolbox-on-wheels firetruck with all her lights blazing

riding a horse through a river until the water comes up over the saddle

guiding a B-25 Mitchell down the tarmac

hand raising baby raccoons until they could be released back into the wild

finishing raising baby foxes to release into the wild

flying with my dog at my feet all the way to burbank, california from st. louis, missouri, with a stop in dallas, texas, and back home again a few days later
