considering their upbringing, my MC would be quite hesitant around Mordred at first... according to their understanding, children need to learn independence as fast as possible. So they'd very awkwardly try to treat Mordred as a small adult and take them at their word. Which might result in Mordred getting hurt (sure, I'm totally allowed to climb out the window/ride this horse/have eaten this suspicious plant a hundred times) and MC having a serious panicky guilt trip and backpedalling their relationship to "you're safer with adult supervision that isn't me". Mordred's feelings will be more hurt than whatever injury they got, and someone will have to mediate a meeting, where they can apologize and reconcile and MC realizing that ok, they actually like me and miss me and suprisingly don't want me gone, I'll just have to do better from here? They will become a tiny bit overprotective for a while after that and test the poor child's patience, but eventually find their balance between protection and independece in their interactions. Or so the headcanon goes. As far as the adults go, MC is used to lurking around in the shadows and observing and forming a strategic approach to stay as unnoticed as possible (which in their experience meant the longer they don't notice you're here, the longer you're allowed to stay). It makes them a very efficient spy and scarily informed about all kinds of goings on. They might act on their own to rectify a few small things (I don't know, some merchant scamming the kitchen staff, some stable hand pawning off inventory for a gambling debt, some baron planning to off his wife for the mistress or a tax collector embezzling money), but will deny everything if confronted. They do NOT like attention as in their experience it leads to finding fault and nitpicking and they never take compliments at face value. It's a gambit, an angle to get something from them and they will wait for the other shoe to drop... and when it never does, they might find it in themselves, to trust, just a little, in other's good intentions. They'll be most suspicious about Gywar, because he's always around and keeps seeing them, while the others are busy with their own stuff. Arthur's sincerity will wear them down eventually. He is also so shiny and attention grabbing that it makes it easy for them to lurk. Kinda ninja and would also fit pretty well as mute if you include that.

Looks would be average height and sinewy build, scary scar on their face, but super long eyelashes and warm honey brown eyes. Long and super soft side braided dark brown hair, light skin and their resting face always looks like they are planning something. Which is only true about half the time. The first few months, they will not be caught without at least some light leather armor for protection, even when sleeping. Gywar better be prudent if he ever does catch them asleep, their first reflex after waking is to grab for a knife. And the ultimate expression of trust for them is sharing a bed with someone and actually sleeping. Sex might be easier, but staying after is the difficult part.

The dynamic with Mordred had me dying of laughter! Mordred would be like "but... but... why don't you want me anymore?😢" and he won't really mind the overprotectiveness as long as you respect his will (otherwise, he will pout a lot).

Gwyar will check on MC pretty frequently even if umprompted, they understand if MC distrusts or is cautious of them so they will be careful not to overstep. In any case, their priority is your comfort so expect a lot of free coddling.

I feel that Arthur being attention-grabbing will be a lot of MCs shelter from interactions and the court world.
