I love that all warrior weapons are fuckin bangers. Every single one is good and they all feel very much like the class. I think they're top tier weapon and skill design. Warrior is so good.

welp! i guess this is your explicit reminder that i have not and never will consent to my work being fed to AI datasets, no if ands or buts
like. okay. if you're reading this and you use AI for character references, i will literally teach you to draw. i have taught plenty of people, both children and adults, how to draw. seriously, dm me, i'm always happy to do redlines for people and give people every resource i have to begin.
if you don't have the time or energy for that you can commission artists. if you can't commission artists, base gw2 is a free fucking game and you can visit the aesthetician in any major city and preview as many character concepts as you want. if you can't even do that look at picrew, there's a bajillion character creators with lots of cool options.
AI in its current popular use in image generation only hurts artists, and if you give two shits about art or the artists who make it, you'd stop using it!

Just the WIPs/sketches of Mourynn's Greatsword(s) progress before I start lineart and colouring. I just wanted to show how she cultivated her Greatsword from a seedling/bloom as it grew to a dagger->sword->greatsword, and then how she Reforms it with broken Caladbolg later down the line, using her parasitic vines and magic to graft them together. I figured that after doing that poll deciding which weapon she should us (which ended in a tie lmao), I thought it would work even better if it reflected her own life as she and the Scion were both grafted together as they were both broken and weak (and this is the same method she uses on her "minions"), and it's sort of bittersweet to as she loves her GS (I'll give it a name later) and seeing it get completely mangled will hurt a lot (it's her baby), and seeing as how Caladbolg was also broken, it works thematically for her to put it together (using her own unique magic). I'll probably wind up repeating what I said here in the finished drawings lsjfldk. I just wanted to provide some context. (Also for reference, this is for my Gw2 OC for non GW2 goers. I often see Gw2 stuff mislabeled as DnD when they're not specified) Also under the cut here is what her Greatsword is based on:
Tumblr media
It's based on the Pink Quill Flower! It's funny bc it was absolutely not what I was expecting to find when I was looking for "plants/flowers shaped like blades". I mean, look at it!!!! Also I just put a compilation of my refs together into one image to make it easier for me lmao

Zhaitan | Mordremoth | Kralkatorrik | Primordus | Jormag | Soo-Won
Yes, we're going through all the Elder Dragons by death date. It's a pattern that gets me every time it's referenced in game (Harvest Temple, Dragon Bash...)
Here's Mordremoth! As the Dragon of Plant and Mind, combining aspects of terror, doubt, and the wilderness, he manifests here as Seeded Terrors Awakened.
Yes, his name is a pun. There's a few of those, here.
(Lore descriptions and thoughts under the cut!)
---
Seeded Terrors Awakened
The minds of humans can give form and face to such uniquely dangerous terrors. After restless nights, they wake from their nightmares, assured in their safety as their fears dissipate in the morning light. In the depths of the jungle, through vine and leaf, Seeded Terrors Awakened gives shape and substance to such terrors, bringing reality to life to chase their makers through the waking world.
A spirit of the jungle, Seeded Terrors Awakened enjoys spreading its domain and dominion across the island, assimilating all it can and entangling the rest - It is much of the opinion that if you aren't theirs, then you are nothing.
Play Style
Enjoys generating fear and Damage through adding tokens at its Incarna, although Dahan should be wary of being in the same lands. Careful manipulation of explorers can also lead them to fight against other Invaders and help this spirit's influence grow.
---
Mordremoth was, surprisingly, quite a bit of a challenge. As of Heart of Thorns, Mordremoth absorbed a large portion of Zhaitan's magic - Which means that much of the aspects of fighting fallen allies, is completely absent normally. In addition, there aren't Sylvari in this world, only Dahan (the indigenous people who've forged a sort of balance between many spirits of the island) and Invaders (generic white colonisers).
These two aspects remove a lot of the stressors that were in play during Heart of Thorns. Yes, he as the jungle is trying to kill people, but that's not much more than an environmental hazard - The strife caused by potential betrayal and fighting fallen comrades weighed heavily on the Pact during this campaign.
It's hard to interpret that, mechanically! But similar to how Lure of the Deep Wilderness uses Explorers (though perhaps more the Lair aspect than normally...), Mordremoth controls them by pushing and pulling them around - And then wreaking havoc through Supplant Desires (its first innate power) or by Taking Root in their minds, both options turning explorers against towns and cities. The application of Strife also protects the land, and signifies, well, strife.
The Mordrem aren't excluded from the fun, though! Through adding Beasts (who you're free to imagine as Mordrem Wolves or other horrors), or Wilds (making it harder for people to explore), especially at Mordremoth's current Conflict of Interest (its Incarna), they can wreak havoc and control, and can be used as fuel for a Bitter Harvest or to support explorers who've Taken Root. Mordremoth also believes in equal opportunity murder, so Dahan are also getting caught in the fallout (in canon, much like the Itzel and Nuhoch)
Elements! Was also an odd one! Leaning heavily into metaphorical interpretations here, similar to Zhaitan. Obviously, Plant. Then, primarily Sun to signify command/control, Animal for life, both of which are crucial - and minorly, Fire to signify disruption/damage, and Air for movement.
