just... the anime slandered my guy so fucking hard

had to slander him otherwise he'd beat Ash and not learn a lesson to be better or some shit

cause like, literally the final four of that pokemon League conference were Guzma, Hau, Gladion, and Ash. Game!Guzma dogwalked Hau and Gladion. Ash beat Gladion for the first time in the anime during the league conference due to his fucking legendary evolving. and Ash likey had a lot of trouble battling Hau and only won b/c his rowlet's family taught it a move shortly b4 their fight.

By all rights game!Guzma would have dog-walked Ash too

Like you expect me to believe that Guzma, who's starter was a fucking whimpod who raised it for fucking years as his ace and partner wouldn't fucking know about its ability and plan around it? (Game!Guzma certainly plans around it cause he's actually a good and powerful trainer) Yer telling me that Guzma would be surprised about its ability to activate and berate his bug for it? Real Guzma doesn't yell at his bugs, he doesn't blame his bugs if things go wrong he blames and yells at himself that's a core part of his character.
