New Chapter; Get a Job

So, I did a thing yesterday. To tell you that story, though, I have to tell you this one.

When I was pregnant with Abrien and as lot of moms of only one child(Akashah), working on child number 2, do, I guess had this thought/fear; "How can I love another person the way that I love and have loved you thus far?"....but when he arrived, like magic, I loved him equally as I loved her. Then again with Avalynne, then again with Kingston. There was just room in my heart, like it grew to fit them all!

Ok so this goes further than making more room in my heart but also cuts into where my loyalty lies, or so I thought.

I said I was moving on from Sportclips because I couldnt imagine having that level of love and loyalty to another team, to build a trust and connection to another team, to another franchisee. My heart is so Team Reisinger, how could I ever love another team like I've loved, cared for, coached some, and been coached by some, picked up shifts for people who needed me and had my shifts picked up when I needed them. I love the ladies on my team (former team now, I guess 😭) like they were my sisters, I spent time with them sometimes more than my own family, at work and at our team outings!

So the other night I just had the weirdest nudge in my gut to apply at my local Sportclips. I did it. Yesterday I got a call for an interview and left it up to the coach who was interviewing me and she asked if I could do an interview yesterday.

So I go in for the interview and I had a strange sense of familiarity. We are all relating so much. I mentioned that she called back quicker than I thought she would! Though I had applied at her stores, it didn't come through her email and she found my application by fluke when looking at another stylist's application that she was interviewing. Then, at the end of the interview she said "welcome to the team, Court!!, wait, what do you go by?" I said (low key tearing up because I'm I cryer) "The only people that have EVER called me Court, is my team! " so in my mind and heart this was absolutely meant to be!

So, at the end of the day all of us Sportclips girls may rival each other in friendly competition, team member to team member, team against team, franchise against franchise, but in the end, we all work collectively as one giant Guy-Smart Stylist, Team Sportclips! We all follow the values, we all create the "Championship haircut experiences"! We all rely on and help one another in the grand scheme of things and that's why I love this company and my journey with Sportclips is not over yet!
