In summary, this memory was pretty good! It was so... SO MUCH. It immediately fried my brain half way through /@A@;;;;; It was insane. This memory (and the Unreturned Traveller) both left little to no room for any sort of imagination (,,>﹏<,,)

I may have some reservations about certain things with like pacing and such, but I get what they're going for (though at the same time I can't help but feel like they're also doing this spicy banner and heavy leaning on Xavier's jealous tendency in response to much of the vocal fandom really wanting it)

I won't say I love this card as much as the others but I see the appeal and still appreciate it~ I do still love the little moments in the cards and I'll put my trust with the writers still! (writers who are also fanfic authors, seriously... the wording they used during the kindled part just screams fanfic to me! 😂)

All in all this memory reaaaaally highlights a lot of Xavier's flaws, in a good way!

On one hand (i'm pretty sure this happened after 21 Days) now that Xavier has worked on expressing himself more with MC, he's letting the side that he's kept under wraps, out. This resulted with the Xavier we see in this memory. The insecurity, afraid that he'll lose MC-not because she'll die-but just losing out on any sort of time with her (maybe because he's also running on limited time???? angst potential????!), and his little more childish tendency to feel jealous.

He's just so baby 😭🥺 but also Xavier! You'll be okay! MC isn't going anywhere!!

For the first half of the date, I felt like there was some... unanswered questions? Maybe it's for us to figure it out. But I also felt that it was feeling a liiiiittle bit rushed?

Pretty much it seems the starting trigger for Xavier's jealousy began right in the first 3 minutes. Honestly felt that it could've been expanded on a little more, showcasing how it feels like MC would be snatched away from him 🤔 But since I'm sure there's a count to how long the dates should be, I guess they opted for this instead ｢( • ﾍ •) Which also still makes sense enough. But also just reminds me of the Tender Moment - Winter's Sun, where MC needs to go to a networking event and he's such a huge baby about it 😂

This part though 🥺 The fact MC has given him access to their own place. And yet Xavier is still so proper about it. Such a gentleman uwu

MC had full faith and trust in Xavier. And Xavier, aware of it, but still would seek consent first. To which, after he has MC's consent, Xavier instead will make sure that MC knows it's him first. The care and thought in this 😭😭😭💖

About how uneventful or how his life lacked some sort of anchor. His only reason for continuing his days is finding a way to deal with Philos's core and bringing the Backtrackers home. But I went to look up the CN version and it's (very, very roughly) more along the lines of "If there's no fire, nothing would explode even with a fuse".

Interestingly enough, Xavier seems to avoid answering it? It also happened later, when MC tried to understand Xavier's change. I wonder why he avoided it. out of ego? inability to admit it because it'll be embarrassing? he doesn't know how to put it in words?

The fact they be having such a sweet intimate moment and Mr neighbour Charlie came busting in. The face Xavier has. He couldn't even contain his emotions 🤣 thankfully he didn't need to run for his life.

The way he just casually lies about this like....! Xavier please 🤣 One can tell he's trying to find a way to subtly tell Charlie to leave them alone I guess but you can tell he's also just letting his temper get the better of him and it came out this way

Okay this part of the whole date was like one of the biggest point to me :C

The way he has worded "do you want me to go back to how I was before?" was very much in a way referencing to one of their things about "every version of them". And the way that line was worded also reeked of Xavier's uncertainty. He was worried there. Was it too much? Is it going to end up driving MC away from him? MC of course did their best to try and ease his worry. It wasn't so much MC wanting Xavier to be how he was before but they just want to understand him more.

And the way Xavier just turns around and proceeds to take it out on the tree instead 😭😭😭😭 Xavier the tree is innocent...! That aside, he's definitely struggling to figure his own feelings out but that childish temper just pretty much got into his head so much that he couldn't keep his usual more level-headedness.

Also MC, did you really HAVE to kick him on his ass just to get his attention? 🤣 Man's angy enough and that definitely cranked his angy up to a 110

The way Xavier nuzzles saying he doesn't know (what else to suggest to help him calm down) was 🥺 he was needy and desperate at that point and he really didn't know how to deal with his emotion like... UGH muh heart

Being together and in the same step.

I previously had some reservations about how this memory was resolved but looking back at it again, Xavier's trying to show it in his own way and MC understood and also responded in a way that it's on the same page as him. Alongside with a small little banter to end it uwu

I can't wait to see how their relationship develops further. If and when Xavier grows to be more secure and knowing that MC won't leave him. I can imagine him being a lot more of a menace than he already is. Even if he gets a little jealous, he won't be insecure about it anymore and just kinda does his lil pouty baby act on purpose. Since we have no clue if it’s just another planet or an entirely separate universe, it’s theoretically possible. Poor Yuu would think they are going crazy seeing a familiar face or hearing a familiar voice in another world. Perhaps it is even painful to the point Yuu tries to avoid interacting with the boy in question. - 🦐

An alt version of a twst boy in Yuu's world is just so yummy. There's so much angst potential depending on what the relationship is/was. Did their boy die in some horrible accident? Is he waiting for them, anxious and terrified about where Yuu went? Does this imply that twst also has a version of Yuu somewhere out there in the world? Questions questions. I did sort of write about this idea in the tags of this yan version of the soulbound au, wherein a cursed Yuu driven insane by their curse kills their soulmate before being isekaid to Twisted Wonderland and finding a different version of him, horrified with the realization that they could kill him again... but I want to cook up some dynamics for what the dorm leaders/overblot boys could be up to in Yuu's world first sooo...

I had a hard time thinking about Riddle until I remembered he's a horse girl and cast Yuu in the role of bad boy ranch hand whose dad's got a job at the barn so they're forced to help take care of the horses and warn all the would be YA protags about the "special horse" who doesn't take orders from just anyone. Not that Riddle is the protagonist... he's more the well established rich petty bitch who looks down on the new girls and especially on you because you're never taking care of his horse in accordance with all his stupid rules. And in stereotypical horse movie fashion Riddle has a massive not so secret crush on bad boy ranch hand Yuu who just doesn't get why he keeps trying to talk to them.

There isn't much royalty left in the world, but imagine Leona as the son of some rich business magnate whose older brother got the company and left him with "nothing." Maybe Yuu works at a liquor store part time and Leona comes in to pick stuff up every once in a while. You wouldn't call him a friend, but you guys shoot the shit enough that you have a general feel for each other to the point he joins you on your breaks to keep up the talk and play chess.

I love the idea of student president council Azul. He's made for that trope. Born for it, he'd be such a terror with Jade as his VP and Floyd as well. Floyd. I can't see him really being a part of the student council but I had this idea the other day based off this instagram post I saw about this mom who sews right? Her daughter was running for class president and she made these bracelets with little shrimp on them and attached them to cards that said "Keep it shrimple! Vote for (kid's name)!" And I was struck with this vision of Yuu doing that so like. Yuu running against Azul with that campaign slogan and he's tearing his hair out over it being so popular because people like memes (the original idea had Floyd running as Yuu's vp but they both dropped out at the last minute because neither him or Yuu wanted to do the actual work lol.) I also like student council president Azul and delinquent Yuu... but that's because of Tsuredure Children ha

Kalim and Jamil are hard... but I think the same set up of rich businessman's kid and his bodyguard in training still fits. How Yuu meets them is beyond me, but if you were friends with either of them could you imagine how painful seeing the same tragedy play out in this new world would be? Jamil doomed to always be a servant and Kalim doomed to be betrayed by his best friend... that would be so painful for someone who cared deeply about either of them I could see it motivating Yuu to try and resolve things for twst Jamil and Kalim that much harder.

Ok so hear me out... Vil still wants to be an actor in your world but he doesn't have the connections to his dad and is working as a pharm tech with Yuu at your local drugstore while going to school and hunting for gigs. He mentions being interested in cosmetics and magical pharmacology in game... and he also mentions knowing nothing about his mom so like. Your world Vil ended up with his mom instead of his dad and you get to see him on the cusp of his big break as one of his number one supporters from the very start, only to get isekaid to a world where you get to see what things could have looked like. It's strange how similar and yet not both versions of Vil are...

Idia is the guy who comes in to buy snacks at your convenience store during the night shift who you start talking to when you notice him buying a game time card for something you also play. You're stupid awkward around each other at first, but it's nice to finally have someone to talk about your niche interest with once you've passed each other's sniff tests. You don't actually know him know him though... so getting sent to another world where there's another version of him makes you worried the more you learn about his backstory that maybe you should have been there for your Idia more. Is he doing ok back home? Did he think of you as a friend? You hope he isn't blaming himself for any of this...

Malleus is an old money trust fund baby whose family was absolutely royalty at some point and is still overly attached to it. He likes old buildings, cemeteries, long walks in the fog, you know all those good goth things. He's tall and socially awkward and so grateful for you, his first and best friend who he met one moonlight night he swore was a dream in his favorite abandoned building who spoke at length with him about all sorts of things he liked. So you know. More or less the same. Just without the world ending powers... I think this is another one that would be quite sad. Which version of Malleus needs Yuu more? Which one is the real one? I'd hate the idea of him being destined to always be lonely and lose the ones he loves.

As for Yuu avoiding them... I could see that. It would feel weird seeing someone you love so much only for it not to be them at all. I know that the Lovebrush Chronicles kiiiiind of deals with this??? I wish I had the patience to play through it has an appealing glasses wearing ro but it's a mobile otome :/ but still. It's a concept I promise I am totally normal about.

Ngl, I was picturing it for when he went to Ivy (which he also dropped out of lmao), and I like the idea of them being upfront about it for the comedy/reluctant acceptance angle, but there is still the potential for drama. However, I can see the appeal of them keeping it totally secret too (I'm gonna talk about that later in the post).

For now, heres my vision: You’re Romans favourite kid, his perfect lil angel child, the only one who wants anything to do with him so he dotes on you (to the extent that Roman can dote on anyone) and you go to him one day like; “I get perfect grades, I never miss curfew, I help with the family business, I never ask you for anything, PLEASE accept my boyfriend.” And at first `Roman’s just like… “No.”

Queue the “But Daddy I love him!” tantrum.

Unlike with Jason, Roman has never had any strong feelings toward Tim other than a general distaste cause of the Wayne association, so eventually he tries to come around, but it’s just awkward, and Tim hates it too cause he know your dad is Black Mask, and he can’t do anything without risking being exposed as Red Robin or upsetting you by causing a scene/fight. Is it to much to ask for the two most important men in your life to get along for one dinner? Please?

So, every time they meet the vibes are just off. However, they’re both trying really hard to get along cause they love you.

One night Tim unintentionally catches Black Mask red-handed and he can’t not do his job. The whole time they're fighting, Tim has this whole internal monologue going on about whether he should let Roman off with a warning for your sake, but eventually he’s like WWBD?

So, he hands Roman over to the authorities and the next day he sees you and your bawling! Inconsolable! Your dad is going to prison, your life is ruined. You’re also a bit of drama queen but validly tbh, what will this do for your social standings? Your college applications? Your career aspirations? Fuck Red Robin, you hate that guy!

You were raised by Roman Sionis, of course your inherited at least a little of his melodromatic genes.

Even though you're distressed Tim can’t keep from being like ‘You're mad at the wrong person here! Red Robin is the good guy! You're dad is the criminal, he wouldn't have been arrested if he wasn't a bad person! Who does bad things! He needs to face justice!”

It becomes a massive-ass argument until you’re like “Why can’t you be normal about this? I love my dad and this is going to have a huge effect on my life, why can’t you just be upset for me?”

Tim doesn’t have an answer cause the answer is "I'm Red Robin" but fuck that guy, right? The whole issue goes unresolved.

Or maybe he does snap and tell you the truth but that just makes things worse! "You're my boyfriend and you arrested my father! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?"

When you visit him at Blackgate, your father is quietly elated by the break up, he doesn’t say as much. He plays the concerned father, offers you comfort. He reminds you that when he killed lost his parents, it started a new age of loyalty amonst the Sionis clan. As long as you're good to your family (him), it will be good to you. Oh, and btw, he needs you to handle a few things while he's gone. Don't worry, your family pisses money, he'll be out of here in no time but this stuff is important and time sensitive, and he needs you to keep it on the down low.

The next time you see Tim, he’s Red Robin and you’re the one he catches in the act.

Also, Tim telling that Bat-Fam “So yeah, I’m seeing someone new, it’s Y/N Sionis.” And everyone looks at Steph for a second, then back to Tim and is like “Dude! Get a new type!”

Also also, you visit the Wayne family for the first time, and after growing up drilled to hate these people you’re lowkey so nervous. You’re expecting them to hate you, because you learned nothing from presuming the same thing about Tim. The youngest one is definitely scary, and the butler must be convinced you’re gonna steal something because he will not allow you to be left alone (he’s remembering teenage Roman hanging out with teenage Bruce and being the worst), but otherwise everyone is actually kinda chill. Maybe a bit overly polite but not unpleasant.

But I can totally see the appeal of them keeping it totally secret too. Especially if Tim tells you about being Red Robin. How it might force you to come to terms with your morality by enabling your father/not holding him accountable. Major existential crisis material.

Of if he doesn’t tell you, the angst of your boyfriend just up and leaving without a word, not responding to your calls, texts, emails.

When he does come back you’ve ‘moved on’. Or you thought you had until you saw him again. But after he left you high and dry you’re fuming, and won’t allow him to just walk skate back into your life.

Tim pining after you while you’re excelling in your college/job pursuit. You keep catching glimpses of Red Robin while you’re out on dates or visiting your dad. Tim tells himself he’s just vetting your new boyfriends or ensuring your dad isn’t up to no good. But really its because he’s missed you and doesn’t know how to make up for cutting you out of his life.

He also notices how you never bring your dates home. How you still bury yourself in his old hoodie at night. How you haven’t finished binge watching that show the two of you were working on together. Those little nuggets of hope are what keeps him hanging on.

imply the show could be improved in any way and they'll get on your case telling you that you're actually a hater if you don't just swallow whole the hot garbage mess that shawcross and luna pull out of their butts when writing a season because they didn't plan out the show from the start and just make it up as they go.

and to all the people who say "whaaat of course they planned it out from the start you just don't understand their vision" you're right about one thing, I don't understand their vision but I don't think they do either. In the Volume 3 Commentary video, it's said that Monty only came up with the Maidens after Volume 2. The Maidens that proceeded to become the driving plot point for the rest of the series to this day didn't exist in anyone's plans when writing the show at the start. Not satisfied? How about the fact that Neo wasn't written in until volume 2 because Monty decided that Torchwick needed a henchman. Neo had like ten minutes of screentime pre-volume 6 but became one of the most popular characters so they decided to make her a major antagonist, even the main antagonist of volume 9. That DEFINITELY wasn't planned before the show started.

I think the show could have been so much better if the plot was planned out from the start and honestly a reboot feels like the way to go to me. Too many times, the writers feel like they're not writing to actually tell a good story but instead they're writing to try and get a reaction out of people. Looking at you, bumblebee. Blake and Yang had one (1) interaction in Volume 2. In Volume 3, Blake runs away at the end as isn't reunited with team rwby until the end of volume 5... but somehow by volume 6 they've somehow become a thing? Literally just shawcross and luna seeing bumblebee being a popular ship in the fndm and going "here you go guys! enjoy!"

It seems like their goal when writing is just to make the audience do this meme

"Whoa, bumblebee! These two characters are canon now and they totally interacted beforehand!"

or alternatively, "Whoa, Neo/Penny is back!"

I could make an entire other post about all the lost potential they had with the plot points that had been set up. Penny the robot girl is killed in volume 3 but surprise she's back in volume 7! That's not an issue per se but imagine the juicy angst steak if Penny's memory had to be wiped or rebooted because they essentially made a new Penny (being a destroyed robot and all) and so she'd forgotted Ruby, her only friend and Ruby thinks she knows Penny but this Penny is essentially a different person. But nope, Penny remembers everything and is a superhero now or something.

Oh and don't even get me started on World of Remnant. If your show can't explain your own lore in a way that isn't making separate lore videos to try and make your world make sense, there's a problem there.

I think this post is long enough though so I'm just gonna leave it at this: I used to really enjoy the show but as it went on the bad writing became harder and harder to ignore and I think the show would greatly benefit from a reboot because nothing of great value would be lost if they never finished the current series. The show had some really good ingredients but the cooks tried too hard to make something unique and ended up with something "technically edible" but not really all that tasty (and fans will insist it was perfect how dare you say anything bad about it but oops there I go looping back round)

Here you go, my de-aged/time switched feral baby Tails idea so hold your hat cause it's a long one under the cut. Also forgive me and my nonsense, I am not a writer.

Just to set some ground rules on my take on baby Tails so we're all on the same page. First of all I always imagine Tail and Sonic meeting when Tails was 3/4 and Sonic 10/11 (both are homeless kids best they can do is guesstimate ages and roll with it). And our little guy Tails, is the sweet, kind, caring Tails we all know and love. BUT as a baby all of that was buried under the weight of being abandoned, harassed, hurt, half/fully starved and bullied starting from maybe basically birth if not shortly after. So baby Tails is just the most FERAL of little guys. He WILL bite, claw, kick, pull fur/feathers/whatever they got and do whatever it takes if he feels cornered and threatened by someone. And yes he has his inventions even at that young age to protect him somewhat, but he's still a baby and can only build them out of the scraps he finds, so they are little flimsy and get destroyed easily by said bullies fairly often. So bitey time's are aplenty for baby Tails.

Now luckily when Sonic meet Tails one of their first interactions was him saving Tails from bullies so he started out a few steps on the less feral side of Tails. Not that Sonic doesn't/never saw this side of Tails, it just never got it directed at him unless he startled Tails or was calming Tails down when something else brought out that side. I also like to think that Sonic and Tails were together about a year before Eggman ever even found out about Tails. So by the time Eggman and their other friends meet Tails, the feral side of Tails has been pretty much put to rest as, through Sonic's help, Tails doesn't need to rely on that 'cornered feral rabies filled racoon' fight instinct anymore. The Tails they first meet relies more on his inventions, smarts, and how Sonic taught him to fight.

SO getting to the bread and butter of all this.

Sonic, Tails and Co. are fighting Eggman or maybe another villain per their usual shtick. And when they go to hit Sonic with their "ultimate weapon" it ends up a whole whoopsi daisies situation and hits Tails instead. Now readers choice on if this de-ages Tails or switched older Tails with younger Tails, but result is the same either way. The smoke clears, Tails is still there, to everyone's short lived relief, but there is now a much smaller scruggly looking Tails in that spot

(Now another thought I had just for ultimate angst potential for either scenario of scruffy baby Tails, is that baby Tails has the starved figure, scars, cuts, bruises, matted/patchy fur he had on what ever day he de-aged to/switched with)

The villain then dips cause plan has gone sideways and Sonic and crew are now just left with a tiny little baby Tails. (and the crew I imagine is Amy, Knuckles, Shadow, and Rouge - maybe Blaze, Silver, Tangle and Whisper too just to make it a really party if you want)

I think before even Sonic can react though Amy is the first to make it to baby Tails. Now I love Amy to death but bless her heart she has a tendency to get tunnel vision sometimes (big mood). So before she registers that baby Tails is a bit more ruff around the edges than she's used to, she just sees a cute little tiny baby Tails and immediately goes for the hug cause Tails is adorable on his own but tiny Tails is serotonin directly injected into your veins and her being a whole mood cannot physically stop herself from going for a hug. Plus they've met a younger Tails before so she thinks it's a similar situation so free hugs all around. (Sidenote - I'm just gonna call baby Tail BT for the rest of this cause it long)

Unfortunately BT only registers 'person coming at them fast and getting close' and just uses his reaction to bite Amy all the while hissing and growling like a feral cat in an alleyway.

Immediately everyone is taken aback (except for Sonic) cause that's not a very Tails thing for Tails to do especially to friends even if he's scared.

(And another side note here cause lord forbid my thought process stays cohesive for five minutes - but I see baby Tails being either a Tails that has met Sonic but only has been with him for maybe 2-3 weeks if even that long, so he recognizes Sonic but doesn't really trust him yet. Or for even more 'oh this is sad' it is a little Tails before he met even Sonic, so everyone is starting at the -100 trust line with the feral fluff ball. (i'm moving forward with this with the 'BT knows Sonic but no trust between them' one cause older brother Sonic is my weakness and BT being cute and clingy will not leave my brain))

So BT gets startled at everyone being startled and moves to take off to go hide in a hole somewhere cause "WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE" (if you get the reference let me know) and everyone then makes a move to catch him. Now BT is on fight/flight instincts only and does not even register Sonic. Plus Sonic does not look like the one he knows so he doesn't even recognize him in this state, just is trying to peace the fuck out of there and get to safety. And with everyone now after him BT then proceeds to go into FULL FERAL MODE on all of them.

He is clawing at them, biting everyone, hissing and spitting while making a B-line for what he thinks is an exit. With everyone still being shocked, not wanting to hurt him and with BT being more slippery than grease on pig, they are STRUGGLING. He is giving then the runaround. They're are now all getting more injured than they did in the fight that caused this. All their abilities are doing nothing in helping them catch Tails. BT is that one scene of Jack Jack from the Incredibles levels of fucking them up and he can't even shape shift. He managed to rip off one of Shadows skates, bite through Knuckles gloves, scratch up Rogue and set off her bombs (she threw them all away from her before they exploded), Amy's hands and arms are COVERED in bit marks, and he went for Sonic's shins with deadly accurate kicks (Sonic would be proud if it didn't hurt so much). They all just look like they got into a fight with a wood-chipper and miserably lost but nope it's all just a scared toddler that can and will fuck someone up.

It's only when Sonic shouts "MILES!!!!" at Tails that he finally stops (maybe Tails isn't being called Tails yet at that time so Sonic has to say his name or maybe it's just big brother/parent mode voice gets through to him). BT stops his frantic exit relay race but will not let anyone close and is still straight up growling at everyone. So now they're all just standing in a lose circle around BT not wanting to take their eyes off him but all desperately sending mental vibes to Sonic to take care of this cause what the fuck has gotten into Tails.

Cue soft big brother Sonic stepping up to bat and everyone watches him try and coax a tiny scraggly Tails, that looks 3 seconds from trying to bolt again, to get closer to Sonic and calm down. He does succeed after about 10 mins and gets BT to let him get close enough to look over his injuries. And they watch Sonic look over BT's injuries with the softest of big brother looks but when he's got BT turned around to check his back Sonic gets just a flash of anger but resigned look on his face. Cause Sonic knows those injuries and they weren't from the beam BT got hit with. (He'd forgotten how bad they were due to time and also being so young when they first met but now he's even more pissed off and sad about it) - Meanwhile people on West Side Island "why do I suddenly hear Kellin Quinn singing??"

So from there the crew moves out with BT almost glued to Sonic's side cause he's scared of everyone. Sonic has to fly them all back cause BT is too little to reach the pedals of the plane (to the surprise of a few of their friends cause they either forgot/didn't know Sonic could fly a plane also idk how to fly a plane but my imaginary one has pedals now). Finally they get back to a safe area, Tail's workshop, and the other's stick close but outside so they don't overwhelm BT while Sonic spends time cleaning/feeding/treating BT's injuries and put him to bed.

Once Sonic's got the little orange terror to go to sleep he gets everyone rounded up to talk about this and figure out how to fix it. But not before they all grill him for info cause what the fuck has gotten into Tails, they thought it was just the beam at first that caused BT to act like that but Sonic knew what to do so that theory jumped out the window. Cue Sonic giving them the watered down version of his memories of feral baby Tails, cause a lot of it ain't their business in his mind but they also need to know enough to not trigger BT into going full feral scared mode on them.

Even with what they know is the more sanitized version of events Sonic gives them everyone is shocked to find out this was actually how Tails was as a little baby toddler guy when Sonic first found him. Cause they all know how sweet Tails is. The difference is night and day. They are all also immediately mentally planning murder. (- Meanwhile people on Westside Island again "why do I hear Tyler Smyth now???? wtf??")

They all just get sad and angry cause who could hurt Tails (exceptions being made to this rule for Eggman and the rest of their circle of villains cause villains gonna villain).

I imagine Amy just starts crying cause she's upset that, that happened to Tails. But also she about to bust out that hammer and hunt some people down.

Knuckles is upset and suddenly feels really guilty about some of those early days fights he used to get into with Sonic and Tails when they all first met. But also recalling some small moments where a hint of this came out when he first met Tails but never to the extent he had seen earlier that day.

Rogue already kinda knew about it cause..spy, but not the full extent. Her info was coming from second hand sources that tried to hide the fact that they were so cruel to one of the only people who can/has stopped Eggman. She already got names and faces and she's about to get a bunch of new stuff when she robs all of them blind. And she's also planning on taking Omega with her, let him cause some chaos, blow up a few thing for fun-sies.

Shadow about to march up stairs, pick up BT, tell Sonic "this is mine now" and march out with a new brother. Also pay a little visit to Westside Island with Rogue cause he knew that face she made, she already has names and he wants in. Tails just reminds him so much of Maria and BT got Shadows 'thought to be long gone' protective brother instincts kicking into overdrive now.

The rest of this goes down with all of them just spoiling the hell outta BT, getting told stories from BT about his life and it just being one of the saddest things they ever have heard ever, and figuring out how to fix it by hunting down whoever did it to MAKE them fix it.

Bonus points: They also get to see how destructive BT is with weapons and learn:

1) why Sonic ban Tails from making some types of weapons.

2) that Sonic actually has the patience of a saint for a little destructive BT

3) Tails is way more down to murder than they had previously thought

you and @velanavis slid into my inbox about this (daredevil james) and i’m so happy to get this out because i’ve been thinking about it a lot more recently with the new show coming out. i know spiderman james is very popular and don’t get me wrong i both see and love the vision but i think my james has a lot more in common with matt than he does with peter just personality-wise. i think matt and james have similarly strong moral codes that they think themselves responsible for upholding. like a strong sense of right/wrong. but then you have matt blurring the lines of that moral code within this duty he finds himself called to do. and i think that could be so interesting for james to explore. like what if he is actually becoming the bad guy? we must lean into james’ potential for moral complexity. i also love him as a charming womanizer who can’t keep a steady relationship and who has a hard time fully opening up to the people he cares about.

then imagine sirius in the foggy best friend role. he comes from a family of high powered lawyers and he was supposed to follow in their footsteps but he meets james in law school and leaves his family behind to become a lawyer of the people.

lily can be karen and then what if i said barty as frank. (tho i truly don’t believe barty would ever really be a vigilante i do think if evan was murdered he would go on a killing spree to get revenge. i just think he’d probably have less qualms about killing innocent people. but anyway i digress for the sake of this au im going with it.) because then we can get some karen/frank action with bartylily. i was thinking about how the way james sees lily is so similar to the way matt sees karen. as this beacon of goodness and hope. meanwhile karen holds so much pain and trauma she doesn’t share. but i think frank recognizes that in her and she can see through his mask too and it makes their relationship so special.

and then you can have reg as an elektra character. i’d change up the backstory a bit so something like the black family having ties to the yakuza and since reg wasn’t the heir he was sent off to train to be a soldier. but then he escapes and starts working for himself. morally gray not necessarily fighting evil just doing what he wants for his own agenda. and his whole family thinks he’s dead. he meets james at some point and they work together/develop feelings but he forces james to confront the blur between right and wrong in a way that makes him uncomfortable so there’s a lot of tension there. and imagine the black brothers angst. reg knows james works with sirius but sirius is totally in the dark about everything. ugh im crazy about it.

I HAVE A VAATU THEORY.

Vaatu grew the Tree of Time.

Yeah.

Just hear me out.

1. In his monologue to Wan, Vaatu says “It was I who broke through the divide that separated the plane of spirits from the material world!”

So he broke the barrier between the two worlds, initially.

2. Vaatu can grow plants. By shoving his tendrils into the ground, he can grow vines and spirit wilds almost instantly.

3. The Tree of Time is impossibly ancient, and it’s roots bind the material and spirit world together.

4. When Kuvira harvested vines from the banyan grove tree (popularly thought of as the Tree of Time’s other side in the material world), the energy discharged from them looked a LOT like Vaatu’s energy beam.

Implying that Vaatu’s energy was stored in all the vines, not simply the ones grown in Republic City when he went on his rampage.

5. When Kuvira’s weapon goes out of control, Korra bends its energy to create a third spirit portal. This shows both Korra’s extreme prowess at bending but also that that energy, previously established to be Vaatu’s, has the ability to rip through the barrier between material and spirit.

If the energy in the Banyan Grove Tree is Vaatu’s, and the Tree of Time is shown to be The Being that holds the two works together, and Vaatu has already said that he was the first to break that barrier, then I believe it’s a pretty solid case for him growing the Tree of Time.

Also guys. Imagine the angst potential. He was imprisoned in a tree that he grew. Do you see my vision guys.

Oh angsty love island yes pls! My personal imaginings involve bkg doing something dumb (maybe he couldn’t give you some emotional reassurance when you were feeling vulnerable and really needed it idk) and you’re genuinely upset with him. i think the tension reaches its peak when kirishima comes in and pulls you for a date.

bakugou's pissed. livid. can't even believe this is happening to him—well, he can, because you're incredible and kind and funny and gorgeous, but everyone has been pretty respectful of his couple thus far, and now some new dickhead is coming in to ruin it.

of course it comes at an odd time in your developing relationship, when bakugou is struggling to open up completely to you, and in turn you're struggling to understand what that means for your potential future. he knows that you're wanting more from him and he's trying, he is, in all the small ways that he can. the tiny ways he hopes you notice.

it's nothing outright or too forward, nothing explicitly defined — and so when you sit down with kirishima for your rooftop date and the first thing out of his mouth is how gorgeous you look — you're not going to pretend it isn't nice.

and he spends the whole dinner like that: complimenting your smile and even your laugh, blushing openly if you look at him too closely, saying he's been watching every episode and that you were his favorite from the start. it's a lot, someone who is so open with their feelings, and he's big and huge and handsome — but at the end of it all, he's not bakugou.

the honesty and openness is attractive, has you aching just a tiny bit from the space bakugou won't close with you, but you tell kirishima that you're happy with him and that it would take a lot, genuinely, in order for you to be swayed completely. but the point of the show is to meet people, get to know them, and while you warn him that you're not interested in leaving your couple — if kirishima calls you to chat, you won't say no.

bakugou's sick at the sight of you smiling, coming back with a big meathead following behind you with an even bigger grin. the only thing that he can find relief in is that you're not holding hands, but he watches you, forlorn, as all the girls squander you away to the couches. as you laugh and smile at their teasing.

"it was great!" kirishima says to the guys, after a round of introductions. "we had a really nice time, she's gorgeous. can't wait to get to know her better. no hard feelings, man." he flashes his shiny teeth at bakugou, unaffected by the icy, lifeless glare he's at the end of.

if he gets into a fist fight, it'll get him kicked off the show; that's what bakugou has to keep in mind as kirishima lists off his ideal partner — which is you, in all but the name. and he's got his arms crossed and his leg won't stop jiggling and his teeth are about to shatter when he feels a hand softly toying with the hair at the nape of his neck.

he sees it's you and wastes no time; bakugou just grabs your hand and steers you away from everyone, back to the lounge chairs so you can talk quietly, and the fear in his eyes is so noticeable that you can't help but to pout at him, give him a kiss to try and make him feel better.

it placates him a little, but he's still all serious, watching you carefully as he murmurs, "so, how'd it go?"

"uh," you nod and look away, like you're thinking even though he knows you've just been recounting it to the girls. "it went good! he's very nice, very friendly, and i'm sure he'll find someone to couple up with in no time!"

and it should make him feel better, it should, but he can feel his hands starting to sweat in yours, his stomach starting to turn. you're all adults, and he shouldn't be bothered by you being honest — that this shitty-haired bastard is some nice guy — but his ugly insecurities want you to be more convincing.

"well," bakugou frowns, shakes his head before glancing back over his shoulder. "he's over there fuckin' sayin' he can't wait to get to know you, and shit." and — you don't really say anything to that, just stare at him, because you don't know what to say, and your silence only coils his nerves further. "y'told him—y'know, about me and you, didn't you?"

"well, yeah," you smile at him, gently, in an attempt to lighten his cloudy mood, but his eyes only darken. "of course i did."

"so why's he over there thinkin' you two are about to couple up or somethin'?"

you frown and glance over at kirishima — who further pisses off bakugou, because he's just watching. "did he say that? because i certainly didn't make it out to seem like i was—"

"i mean, look at 'im," bakugou snorts, openly pointing at him across the yard. "fuckin' cat that got the cream. what's he so smug about?"

and — you've never seen him like this. so angry, jealous to a point that it's a complete turn off. all your worries flare up, and all you can think about is how difficult it can be to talk to him regularly, much less now, when he's mad; is this how fights will go, in the future?

"i don't know, katsuki, i mean," you shrug as he frowns at you, his eyes narrowing. "we're here to meet people, so i told him that i would talk to him if he wanted, but i didn't make it—"

"oh, so that's why," he drops your hands as his eyes turn hard, like you've betrayed him in some way. guilt stings, sharp, as your eyes start to water. you're not blind to the fact that everyone is watching now, as his voice raises and he interrupts you every time you open your mouth. "because you're tellin' him—"

"can you let me speak, please?" your face twists and then bakugou's does, when he sees it, and instead of listening, he only runs a hand through his hair and shoves off the lounge chair.

he knows he's being a total dick, especially as denki and mina and ochako all dart past him on their way to you, but his fear has turned into something hideous he can't control, and if doesn't cool off, he'll say something he'll really come to regret.

kirishima comes to check on you, too, when your makeup starts to run, and it only makes bakugou feel even worse. you take your time getting ready for bed, are in the room with the girls for a long time as you change and brush your teeth. denki tries to talk to him once, but it only results in bakugou storming out of the house, slamming the back door behind him as he sits in front of the pool, alone. like always.

back turned to the remnants of something he's single-handedly ruined. like always.

Funny enough when it comes to the amount of kids drakey would have for it, it'd like opposite or yours. They have 4 in total, 2 girls and 2 boys, and I love the idea of their first being a baby girl cause Draken and Mikey are very girl dad coded for me. And she just the chubby baby after cause she takes after Draken when it comes to height and weight(he's a bit taller in my au then in canon). And then they have triplets next even though they only really wanted two kids, but the idea of them having a muitple births and trying to juggle 3 babies and a toddler has the potential for comedy and angst.

I see the vision, I definitely see the vision. 🤔

I'm a lil' biased though, 'cus I personally want only one child, a son, when the time comes for me, and I really only like it when my faves have boys. 😂

[If you're not taking anons about this just ignore this ~<3] completely agree about Dorothy, especially her having insecurities about being seen as masculine and how she voices it during the show so many times. I always headcanoned it as a big reason she never addressed her sexuality; when people aren't calling her an ugly man they're saying she's a lesbian directly because of certain traits and features she has, it makes sense she'd reject that part of herself because its tied to decades of painful remarks on top of everything else. And I do think it could be genuinely triggering for her to be expected to be masculine or want to perform certain acts in that sense - the idea that even someone who seems to understand her and want her and love still doesn't see her as a woman. Ofc those things aren't tied together in reality but you could make a solid case for why they would be to Dorothy.

|| Ch. 16: The Park Family ||

Everyone is in the sparring room and appear to be relieved to see that Luna is awake and aside from minor weakness, she’s doing ok. For now at least. She doesn’t know if that vision she saw was real or some sort of dream, but it scares her. Two weeks isn’t a lot of time at all.

Everyone begins discussing the prisoner they caught the night Luna passed out. They have him locked up on the crime of using an unauthorized portal, and have been pressuring him to give information about Saakhan Venom. So far all he’s said is that Luna’s boss, Choi Yeonjun, is in charge of scouting recruits on earth. When he finds someone he thinks would be a good addition to the crime syndicate he orders the people under him to make their move. They get taken to headquarters and sent through training in preparation for what they call “Judgement Day”. Though Yeonjun isn’t the head of SV, he’s still a high ranking member with a lot of power.

As the guys continue discussing, Luna begins to zone out. She knows she should probably pay attention to what they’re saying, but she can’t get over the image that flashed in her mind. She only has 2 weeks. What kind of time frame is that to decide whether to live in a whole new world or die?

“How much time do I have left?” Luna asks interrupting their conversation.

“Luna,” Jimin says softly.

“I need to know how much time I have before I die.”

Everyone looks at each other except Jungkook. He looks to the ground wishing he didn’t have to deal with this. Deal with her learning that she doesn’t have much time. Deal with him accepting that she doesn’t have much time.

“It’s hard to say for sure,” Yoongi says taking on the task of explaining it to her. “That guy did a good amount of damage. Along with your ability being too much for you, you dont have long before your human side gives in. My guess is…you have about 2 weeks. But, if anyone else goes through you there’s no telling how much time it will take off your life.”

“Is there nothing else I can do?” She asks not bothering to hide the fear in her voice.

“If there is,” Yoongi answers. “It would likely take us more than 2 weeks to figure it out. There’s never been anyone like you before, we just don’t have the knowledge on how to fix this while saving your life. You simply can’t be human any longer. Wouldn’t converting be better than death?”

Of course converting would be better than death. Anything would be better than death. However, Luna can’t seem to convince herself to make that move. Sure everything she had back home is gone, but it’s still home. What could she do here in Korealis? This unfamiliar place that she’s barely even seen outside of the palace and the lab.

“But there has to be another way, right?” She asks desperately seeking a solution. “What if you can figure it out before then?”

“Are you really willing to risk it?” Namjoon asks. “I mean we don’t even know how you got this way. Your parents are long gone and whoever went after your mom to try converting her is who knows where. We wouldn’t even know where to begin to find that needle in a haystack.”

“Park Hyungwon,” Luna says. The name of her birth mom’s agent who she’s convinced is either the one who killed her parents or at least orchestrated the whole attack. Either way, she can’t forget that name. He’s involved somehow and maybe finding him could give her some answers.

Everyone looks around at each other, then at Jimin who looks both shocked and confused.

“How do you know about Hyungwon?” Jimin asks.

“I was reading my mom’s diary,” Luna says. “She mentioned him up until the very end. I think he may be the one who killed her, or at least he has something to do with her being killed.”

“It can’t be,” Hoseok says looking at Jimin. “Can it?”

“No,” Jimin says looking at the floor in thought. “Hyungwon died from the plague that killed the rest of the family.”

“You’re related to him?” Luna asks.

“Not by choice, of course,” Jimin sighs. “His story is similar to mine. His father was closer in line to the throne than my father, but Hyungwon was also born to a woman who wasn’t married to his father. “The plague,” Jimin says. “I know it took him. He’s been gone. The whole family has been gone.”

“Jimin, you’re still here though!” Luna says grabbing his shoulders. “Why would everyone else in the family die from the plague and not you?”

“Well there was that rumor,” Jin says.

“What rumor?”

“When the family started to all get sick people thought it was Hyungwon trying to get revenge. But then he was gone too and that was it. However, the rumors kept getting spread over the years. It’s like a fable that kids tell, but no one knows if there’s truth behind it.”

“He could be hiding!” Luna shouts as the lightbulb in her head flashes. “What if he’s hiding amongst the humans at home and that’s how he met my mom! He has to be out there still!”

“Luna,” Jimin says. “I know you want to find some other solution, but-“

“Think about it, Jiminie!” She shouts still clutching his shoulders and catching a glare from Jungkook. “Why would you still be the only one alive if everyone else in your family got sick? He’s not trying to kill you, you’re just like him so he doesn’t resent you!”

It happens again. She sees an image flash in her mind. Jimin talking to a man who’s laying in bed.

“I wish I had more time to tell you everything,” the man says. “I had envisioned one day getting to tell you everything. One day when it would no longer be an issue for me to speak with you. I’m sorry that it has to be like this.”

“But why?” Jimin asks.

“Hyungwon,” the man whispers. “Your mother can tell you all about him. Just…don’t let him know who you are if you ever cross paths with him.”

The vision fades and Luna is looking deeply into Jimin’s eyes. She can see his pupils shaking. Was that real? Did he see the same thing she just saw?

“You know something, don’t you?” Luna asks.

“N-no,” Jimin stutters. “I thought he was dead so I never thought much about anything I’ve been told about him.”

“But you knew he was possibly responsible?” She says seeing right through him. “You knew that he couldn’t know who you are, right?”

“How?” Jimin whispers.

“I think…I can see things.”

“What?” Jungkook asks as everyone looks on confused.

“You can see?” Jimin asks.

Luna nods. Everyone else is still confused, but Jimin can see that she definitely saw what he saw. She saw his memory and he knows she’s right.

“How can we find him?” Luna asks.

“I don’t really know,” Jimin says. “He could be anywhere.”

“But he can’t be too far, right? If the portal and Yeonjun are in the same area he can’t be far.”

“Where would we even start? Searching that area alone could take a while.”

“He’s an agent. At least he was when my mom met him. Maybe he still is! If I could go back-“

“No!” Jungkook quickly interjects. “If anything needs to be done we’ll do it, but you’re not going back there.”

“It wouldn’t be long,” she pleads. “I’m sure I could find him online or something.”

“We’ll take care of that,” Namjoon says. “We can plan something out and check it out ourselves, but for now you don’t need to be out of Jungkook, or any one of our sights.”

“Fine,” she reluctantly agrees. “Is there a way I can communicate with you guys while you’re there?”

“No,” Jungkook says. “If we have to make multiple trips then that’s fine, but I still think this is all a big risk. If we spend however much time on this and run out of time, what will you do? Just drop dead and that’s it?”

“I have faith in you guys!”

“I appreciate the vote of confidence,” Namjoon chuckles. “But Jungkookie is right. What happens if time runs out? You still have to make a choice.”

“I will. I’ll make a choice if I have no more time left. But right now I think you guys could find him and find another solution.” Luna is desperate. It’s almost unreasonable, definitely unreasonable, but she doesn’t care, she’s just trying to save the “normal” life she’d been used to living for 25 years.

“LuLu,” Jungkook says.

“Luna,” Luna mumbles.

“Can you stop being stubborn for one second and realize that you’re playing with life and death.”

“I’m not the stubborn one, bunny boy!” She hisses. “I’m just trying to come up with a solution. Isn’t that what we’re all trying to do?”

“We already had a solution, you’re just being a pain in the ass and won’t accept it.”

“The only pain in the ass is the demon who left me alone all night after I woke up from a 3 day coma!”

“I’m not a demon, you one eyed freak!”

“I’ll show you a freak!” She shouts weakly hitting his arm.

“Yeah, a weak freak,” he giggles.

“It never ends with you two!” Jin shouts bringing them out of yet another bout of bickering. “Give us everything you have on Hyungwon and we’ll start searching for him. In the meantime, you two stay out of trouble.”

“I’m going too, right?” Jungkook asks.

“Your main task is keeping an eye on her.”

“Hyung please. Let me go with you guys. I need to do…something.”

“Show her around town then,” Jin says waving him off.

“That’s not what I meant,” Jungkook pouts.

“But that’s what I ordered you to do.” Jin doesn’t often pull rank when he’s talking to them, but when he does there’s no arguing. His word is law.

In reality, everyone has been able to sense the change in Jungkook. They know his focus has been off lately and only gets worse the longer Luna fights trying to prolong the inevitable. He takes everything too hard, so everyone thought it’d be best to keep him away from potential combat for now. Hoseok tried pleading on Jungkook’s behalf knowing how much it would kill him to not be involved with any of the action. But even he couldn’t deny that Jungkook needs time to sort himself out.

Jungkook hates the idea of staying behind while everyone else goes out. He hates feeling like a failure. And he hates feeling like he’s being punished. He’s tried with everything in him to be better but now it’s like progress is going backwards.

What’s worse is he can’t help but feel a bit of resentment towards Luna. He wasn’t this mixed up until she came along. He isn’t sure what he actually feels for her, but he knows it’s getting in the way of everything. He’s a shield first and foremost and he can’t get himself caught up in such trivial bullshit.

But still, one “Jungkookie” from her and he’s frozen in place. His heart flutters and his mind rages. Fuck her. Fuck her “Jungkookie”. And especially fuck her “Jiminie”. Because what the fuck kind of game is she trying to play by calling Jimin that?

“Jungkookie?” Luna repeats from his bed.

They had returned to his room and he’s been stuck in his mind on the couch ever since. The guys took Luna’s mom’s diary and headed off to look for Park Hyungwon.

“That’s demon bunny to you,” he says. Though even that nickname makes his chest swell. The fuck is wrong with him?

“Ok then, demon bunny,” she chuckles. “Are we just going to stay here all day everyday?”

“You don’t like my room?”

“It’s not that, I’m just a little tired of looking at it.”

“You’re free to go exploring if you’d like.”

“I can’t go out alone, and you don’t seem to be in the mood to do much of anything.”

“What gives you that impression?”

“The constant look of displeasure on your face,” she says walking over to him.

“Fine,” he sighs. “Where do you want to go?”

“I don’t know, I’m not from here remember.”

“I have to do everything for you,” he says half joking. “Let’s go.”

He gets up and guides her out the door. He’s trying his hardest to keep his tough exterior up. Maybe if he’s a douchebag enough she’ll hate him entirely and make things easier for him. But it’s not easy. His cheeky smirk betrays him when he tries to tell her he’s tired of babysitting her. His fond smile when she talks about how she used to go for walks with her mom and have a picnic makes his hard demeanor turn soft.

Luna is in awe at all the things around the city. It almost reminds her of home. The streets lined with various shops, and gorgeous parks where kids play and others simply go to hang out. The constant darkness does nothing to diminish the beauty of the kingdom. If anything it somehow enhances it. It’s like nothing she’s ever seen before.

Jungkook sees this as an opportunity to convince her to convert. If she sees that being here isn’t so bad she may change her mind, and hopefully soon.

“We should get something to eat,” he says as Luna is still in awe at everything around her.

“What do you guys eat?” She asks.

“Blood.”

“Oh…”

“I’m kidding,” he laughs. “Our stuff may be a bit different than you’re used to because we use blood the way humans use water. But it’s all the same to me.”

“Do you think I’ll like it?”

“Maybe,” he shrugs. “I’ll take you to one of my favorite places. How do you feel about fried chicken?”

“Spicy?” She asks in excitement.

“If that’s what you want,” he smiles endeared by her enthusiasm.

“Yes! I haven’t had fried chicken in forever! Take me now!”

“Geez, you don’t know how to say please? You humans are so rude.”

“I’ll show you rude!” She says hitting his arm.

“Hit me again and you won’t get anything except expired blood.”

“Sorry, Jungkookie,” she teases making him cringe from the conflict his mind goes through every time she does that.

“Shut up and come on,” he says grabbing her arm and practically dragging her down the street.

They arrive at a small chicken restaurant and order an assortment of flavors. Luna decides to try a blood infused soda. If she’s going to have to be here a while she would like to at least find a blood drink that tastes better than just plain blood.

“How is it?” Jungkook asks as she takes a sip.

“It’s different, but not bad,” she says. “This looks like the restaurants back home. I didn’t know you guys had all of this in the city.”

“I told you it wouldn’t be much different. Everything is pretty much the same.”

The waiter brings their food and Luna’s jaw drops. It all looks and smells amazing. Jungkook smiles at the way she looks at the food. She’s cute, although he’s having a hard time accepting that he feels that way.

“Try it,” he says.

She grabs a piece of chicken taking a moment to inspect it before taking a bite. She’s delighted at the taste. It tastes great, almost better than anything she’s ever had at home.

“Kookie this is amazing!” She says taking another mouthful.

“I umm…yeah. I’m glad you like it,” he sputters shoving chicken into his own mouth. He hates when she does that.

“I’m sorry,” she says noticing the shift in his pupils. “I forgot you don’t like me calling you that.”

“That’s not really what I said.” That’s what he meant, however a small but strong part of him doesn’t want her to stop calling him any of the nicknames she calls him, especially Kookie.

“You seem bothered by it though.”

“No, it’s just…no one really calls me that. It just catches me off guard.”

“Oh,” she pauses looking down at her plate. “But…it still bothers you, doesn’t it?”

How would she know that? Did he give himself away somehow?

“No,” he lies. “It just catches me off guard like I said.”

“Do I bother you at all? I mean, I know you’re a shield and all, but sometimes I feel like I’m in the way of things or like, a distraction or something.”

What she really wants to say is she knows he tries to hide his feelings. She knows he’s been training his whole life to keep his emotions from getting the best of him. And she heard him talking before she woke up.

“What makes you think that?” He asks raising a brow.

“Just a feeling, I guess,” she shrugs.

He can tell she’s lying. Did she hear him talking to someone? She couldn’t have, he’s only talked to his mom about her.

“Can I ask you something, LuLu?” He asks.

“Only if you learn my name,” she says rolling her eyes.

“Earlier you told Jimin you could see things. What did you see?”

“Oh…nothing,” she lies. “I guess I just kind of felt a vibe from him.”

“A vibe that told you he knows to stay away from Hyungwon?” Jungkook asks quickly breaking her lie.

“Something like that,” she doubles down shoving a piece of chicken in her mouth.

“What are you hiding?” He asks suspiciously.

“Nothing.”

“You’re a terrible liar.”

“Can’t I just eat in peace?”

“Who’s paying for this meal??”

“Ugh!” She huffs. “Look, I don’t know what it was, I just saw a flash of something when I was talking to Jiminie.”

“Jiminie?” He asked more irritated by the nickname than he is about her hiding things from him. “Since when do you call him that?”

“I don’t know,” she shrugs. “It just rolls off the tongue nicely I guess.”

“What does that even mean?”

“Does it matter? He didn’t seem to have a problem with me calling him that. Unlike someone who lets everyone else call him by a cute nickname but he has a problem when I do it.”

“That’s not what I said,” he huffs. “That’s besides the point. What did you see?”

“I don’t know,” she sighs. “I just saw a flash of his dad telling him to stay away from Hyungwon.”

“How?”

“I don’t know! It just happened.”

“Has it happened before?”

“No,” she answers too quickly. The last thing she wants is for him to know that she’s seen his memories too. He has such a tough wall built up that his memories seem to be the only way she can truly understand where he’s coming from.

“This was the first time?” He raises his brow.

“Yeah,” she says finishing off her last piece of chicken.

Jungkook isn’t convinced that she’s telling him the whole truth. He can tell she’s still hiding something. He wants to press her further, but for some reason the question that comes out of his mouth isn’t the one he meant to ask out loud.

“Do you have a thing for Jimin?”

“What?” Luna asks confused.

Jungkook is stunned by his own words. He sits frozen a moment trying to find a way to dig himself out of this. He meant to ask her more about her vision. Now he’s internally kicking himself.

“I mean, you seem like you have a soft spot for him,” he says rubbing the back of his neck.

“Oh,” she says still confused. “He’s been really nice and sweet since I met him. I guess I do have a soft spot for him. He’s an angel.”

“An angel,” Jungkook says fighting the rising saltiness in his tone. “How is he an angel, but I’m a demon even though I’ve done so much more for you than he has?”

“You stalked me!”

“It was surveillance!”

“And you broke into my apartment! Twice!”

“I saved your raggedy ass toaster from setting the whole place on fire! I still haven’t gotten a thank you for that you ungrateful mutt!”

“I’ll show you a mutt, you deer bunny devil spawn!”

“What are you going to do? Hit me with your weak little hands?” He teases.

“Ugh! You’re such a fucking pain!”

He stops on the sidewalk and glances at her as she continues focusing what little energy she has on hitting his arm over and over. Why is this endearing to him? Why does he think she looks so cute when he pushes her buttons to the point of her trying to hurt him? She’s adorable to him. And he hates that. He can’t feel the way he feels about her. It’s only going to continue to make things hard for him.

i think that the worst ones for rin (if we go the older boy route) would be nagi or karasu (not being biased). rin basically has no interest in anything but soccer (a lot like sae) and kinda horror games and whatnot?? for the most part it’s just soccer on his mind though. i think if the reader was w karasu (or even yukimiya to a lesser extent) who is very well rounded and generally mature, it would probably throw rin’s lack of maturity + other interests into relief, ESPECIALLY if the mc isn’t into soccer, which would def fuck w rin sooo bad. like everything he’s ever wanted in life has been obtained via his talents at soccer — he even thinks he can fix his relationship w sae just by getting better at the sport — but here’s someone who thinks he’s childish and doesn’t even care how talented he is. karasu straight up calls rin childish during the third selection for fighting w shidou which i think would make him crash out in an au like this one. it’s similar with nagi, who’s a prodigy that’s never really had to work for anything in his life — rin is super dedicated, and he balances his talent with hard work, so i think that if nagi managed to win over someone who HE wanted, seemingly without any effort, it would make him feel horrible and reinforce that feeling that no matter how hard he tries, he’ll never be on the level of the prodigies of the world (nagi/sae). idk if you can tell but messing w rin is a pastime for me i love thinking of ways to torture him

i also have never really seen the shidou appeal…like more power to everyone who likes him but he simply is not the one for me. isagi is meh like i don’t mind him as a character at all but i don’t know if i could ever write him as a main love interest!! he’s missing a certain smth in my mind. but he would be a perfect character to put in a side couple i think — kind of like a less problematic version of bff x otoya in fwtkac HAHA

for the most part there’s a lot of diff breeds that can do many different jobs!! especially if you’re not competing nationally most horses will do okay doing whatever, plus there’s talented/non-talented horses in each breed. normally people will pick a horse based on its aptitude for their chosen sport rather than just the breed!! but if i had to assign horse breeds (horsesonas???) to tabieitaken + hiori, i would say yuki would be a friesian, otoya would be an arabian, karasu would be a trakehner, and hiori would be a connemara

i haven’t listened to the official character songs no!! i feel like i only listen to soundtracks if they play during the show and are particularly majestic (violet evergarden soundtrack will always be famous to me hehe). i’ll have to listen at some point though!! karasu and otoya are truly THEEE best friends of bllk so they’re def going to have themes that riff off of that (hoping they get smth cool like chigiri’s guitar but more menacing considering they’re the ninja and the assassin)

You felt your heart catch in your throat. Your body tensed up as your eyes sat transfixed upon the aged stone of the scriptorium. The words etched there was unmistakable, the cruciatus curse, the torture curse. The spell that caused excruciated agony to shoot through its victim. You were so stunned you didn't even register the thud of the door locking and closing behind you. You felt sick, eyes refusing to meet Sebastian's as you stood still in place. "What? What is it?" Ominis' voice broke the silence, a mix of concern and fear.  "Your Aunt Noctua..she's.." Sebastian paused, looking up at his boyfriend with a sad gaze. "I'm sorry, Ominis..." His words, however vague they may have been, and saddened tone must have been enough to inform Ominis of his Aunt's fate. Ominis' face dropped, but he didn't seem outright sad- probably sheltering his emotions, as he was known to do. It had taken Sebastian and you quite a while to get Ominis as comfortable with his feelings as he was.

"We have to use crucio to get out of here." Your voice finally cut through, wavering a little. Ominis' glazed over eyes widened, and he began to pace. "No, no, no! There has to be some other way. I refuse to cast it-!" He spoke frantically, losing his usual suave composure. You felt like you were going to be sick right now- even the idea of either of your boyfriends being in excruciating pain had you feeling dizzy and emotional. "What if I cast it? That way you don't have to go through that again, and (y/n) won't have to learn it?" Sebastian suggested with an almost alarmingly calm tone, as if he hadn't just suggested using an unforgivable curse.

"Don't be ridiculous, Sebastian! There has to be some other way that we can get out of here. Look around- (y/n), my dear, can you see anything?" His raised voice softened as he addressed you, as did his gaze in your general direction. "There's no other way, Ominis. It's either crucio or we end up stuck in here to die like your aunt." Sebastian spoke again, voice dark and knuckles white from clutching his wand. You couldn't hear what they were saying as your senses became overwhelmed, vision blurring and breaths heaving. You leaned against one of the walls for support, trying to fight back sobs and push down your anxities. Hearing your lovers argue was one of the most painful things to you, and this situation was just becoming far too much for you to handle. It was only when you felt strong arms around your middle that you came back to your senses, Sebastian's familiar earthy scent filling your nostrils. You heard Ominis shushing you quietly, his hand raking through your hair.

"So, you can stop fighting for me, but not for eachother?" You choked out quietly, using the sleeve of your robes to wipe away your tears. You turned to them, tone almost a whsiper as you spoke. "Just cast it on me and get it done with already..please." Sebastian nodded solemnly, knowing it was the only choice they had to escape. "I'm sorry, (y/n)." He spoke barely above a whisper, before a deep red light emitted from his wand, striking you straight in the chest. Before you could even blink, you'd crumpled to the stone floor in excruciating pain. Screams ripped themselves from your throat unwillingly, hot painful tears streaming down your cheeks. It felt like every cell of your body was on fire, begging and screaming for mercy. You couldn't couldn't think, your mind hazy with pain as you heaved out jagged breaths. Eventually, it all became too much to handle, spots dancing in your vision. It felt like you were underwater, barely able to make out the screams of your name from both Sebastian and Ominis.

By the time you came around, your head throbbed and your mind was foggy. You cracked open your eyes slightly, noting that instead of the cold floor of Salazaar Slytherin's scriptorium, you were on a comfortable couch inside the room of requirement. Although you were in less pain than when crucio had initially been cast on you, your body still ached quite badly. The bright lights overhead hurt your eyes, but you began to sit up nonetheless. "Oh, fuck-!" You gasped out, hand immediately finding purchase on your side as your body thrummed with pain.

Catching movement from the corner of your eye, you gazed over to find Sebastian and Ominis looking at you worriedly, albeit hints of sleep in both their eyes. Judging by their close proximity, your boyfriends had fallen asleep cuddling with eachother. "Don't move too quickly, you're still hurt." Sebastian spoke worriedly, voice a low rumble as he'd just woken up. How long had you been out? Your mouth tasted faintly of the bitterness of wiggenweld potion- had one of them given it to you while you were out? Ominis wordlessly stood, wrapping his arms around you and cuddling into the couch with you. "We're sorry, (y/n). We were both idiots- we didn't think about how our fighting would affect you. You have enough stress on your plate, with Ranrok and the poachers." Ominis spoke quietly, looking to the ground. "I'm especially sorry...I hated having to cast crucio on you, my love." His eyes were glazed over with tears, which broke your heart. "You did what you had to, Sebastian. We would have died in there if not for you having the courage to cast it." You took his hand into yours, placing a soft kiss on the calloused skin. "We were all just under pressure. No hard feelings, okay? I love the both of you very much." You smiled, slowly easing yourself up into a sitting position. Only, to be pushed back down by Ominis, who kept his hand on your chest. A flustered blush rose to your cheeks at the action, your breath catching in your throat.

Ominis used his free hand to begin unbuttoning his shirt. Sebastian followed suit, shifting his own green and black robes off of his shoulders. The brunette placed a warm kiss against your lips, and you felt Ominis' hands working to slip your robes from your body. "I take it you two made up then?" You gasped out between feverish kisses to your lips. "Yes. We did." Ominis replied through kisses to your neck, a hand resting on your thigh. "Now let us make it up to you, love." Sebastian whispered into your ear with a dark smirk, sharp teeth grazing your earlobe. Oh lord, you were in for a long night.

Kenma looked in the direction Hinata was looking at, and there he saw across the room, his girlfriend handling some of her daily dose of required socialization for the day. It looks like she's stammering over talking to some Karasuno players.

"She actually handles conversation better than I do, to be honest," Kenma responds, and at the back of his mind, he suppresses a grin.

If only he knew how she can be wild and explorative on other terms. Though, of course, he wouldn't actually let Hinata know that piece of information 'bout her girl.

Kenma felt a cold bottle by his forearm, turning to expect a gleeful orange-haired guy near him.

Hinata raised a brow, following Kenma’s line of vision, directing at Yachi and Mai. 

“Huh? She’s not my girlfriend.” Hinata says, keeping an eye on the girls. Hinata almost put a foot forward as the two girls flinched at some Shiratorizawa players, particularly the tall red-haired male with a big smirk on his face.

Mai also shared how that guy gives her the creeps. He can be quite unpredictable.

For a while, Hinata breathes out, followed by a grin as the other girl manages to answer the tall male. “Oh, so that’s your girlfriend, Kenma-san.”

“Don’t say ‘girlfriend’ too much.” he scratches the side of his face, flustered by the attention since earlier but nods. “Yes. I'll introduce her to you later.”

He walks out of the court, managing to divert the attention off his reddened ears.

Mai can be the bravest person he knows if it's about pushing herself to the edge or trying out new things. And Kenma knows he is one of the forces that influence her to do better outside her comfort zone, and vice versa.

It just so happens they are also on the same page in terms of sex.

“J-just tired, I guess. I never had the chance to accommodate three teams in one gym.” she pried as she helps Mai with the other end of the net. Mai just quietly nods in agreement, there’s also an obvious tiredness in her dragging her feet.

Kenma feels a strong gaze towards him, it’s anything else but the anxious eyes that he saw from Mai earlier. It may be the effect he has on easing her but noticing a hint of depth and darkness on it. He can’t help but let a cold sweat slip off his head, swallowing a bit of saliva left from his dry throat.

The game sets parched him.

He glances back at her as if they’re dancing through glances. Hers didn’t seem to waver. The girl didn’t manage to finish laying out her thoughts as she was suddenly sneaked into the supply closet with him. With her back thumping lightly on the wall, the other spare balls even quiver as they hear people pass by the door.

As if panicked, she also held her breath as Kenma pinned her down in between his arms to stay put. It was only momentarily, though Mai had confusion outlined on her brows.

“Why did you need to hide us here though?”

Kenma’s silence also picked up on the unnecessary reaction. It just happened. His grip losing on her shoulders also signaled him to calm down. “Out of instinct, I guess.”

He could only answer, though, he was also thinking about where to treat her for later. What was he supposed to say again? The supply closet isn’t the most tasteful idea to come up as a ‘date’ with to be real. Kenma does have the same closeness and intimacy like this in mind though. 

His proximity and the quietness to the point she can hear his breathing distinctly on her end though... It didn’t help much further on her ‘overlooked issues’ as to why they were put to discuss in the first place.

“Off topic but want to make this quick?” Kenma asks out of the blue. It is not off-topic on what she had in mind though, but it seems that they’re not far in their in-the-gutter thoughts.
