ngl I wanna give Evie a mini gun for her assaults on the Kuei Jin base and Venture Tower; for the Jinx vibe, to reflect how she's just adopted 'spray-and-pray' at this point because she just does not fucking care anymore, and also I think she deserves the biggest gunnest gun imaginable when taking on Ming Xiao and Lacroix

I just realized that Ironwood’s gun actually breaks the victim’s Aura with one shot. Like, the other gun weapons in the show don’t deal that much damage, but when he shot Oscar in v7, his Aura broke instantly.
It crossed my mind that Councilman Sleet could have survived getting shot if he had his Aura up, but the Atlesian politician probably never unlocked it, so yeah, dead. Even if he had an Aura, there’s nothing he could have done against Due Process.
Ironwood has the gunnest gun in Remnant and it’s pretty terrifying that he could just shoot anyone, even the host of a thousand-times reincarnated wizard, and deal mortal damage upon anyone on a whim.
Quite the method of keeping your subordinates in line

Strife Specibus Info
Ah, Strife Specubi. The abstract medium that determines what weapons we wield, and the spawner of infinite arguments online of which Specibus is better. And also fools who insist that using anything other than jokerkind is an idiot (players in glass dwelling spires shouldn’t initiate Reckonings). Surprisingly, most people don’t know about Strife Specubi outside of “i put my pain implements in this weird semi-nonexistent box”. And, to be fair, you don’t really need to know anything beyond that. But I prefer dying inside a metal deathtrap in Lovecraft Country with a lot of knowledge to dying inside a metal deathtrap in Lovecraft Country and not knowing what the fuck is going on. I think it’s a Sage thing.
DAMAGE BONUSES
When one is faced with the fact that you have to choose what weapon you must use in a murdergame, and it can’t be changed, most people spend a solid minute suffering from anxiety before running for the biggest/sharpest/gunnest thing in the house/hive. This is pretty good. However, one should note that Strife Specubi give damage bonuses. This is fair, seeing as how most 13-19 year olds can’t really swing huge chunks of metal sufficiently unless they are inhuman (I mean that literally and figuratively, troll kids are freaks). But the game has an odd way of going about it. Pretty much, the more odd, specific, or unconventional the weapon, the more damage bonuses. And that is stupid. But honestly, what were you expecting? That’s why using a basic swordkind will take some time to kills stuff, while needlekind can filet them in minutes. And as for plushkind...
We don’t talk about that...
This is also why jokerkind sucks ass. Jokerkind means everything, which isn’t general. Ergo, minorly more damage than punching stuff. However, regardless of what is the most effective weapon, you really should just use whatever is the best for you. For example, I know that crowbars are great because the game miscategorizes it as birdkind, but I personally am uncomfortable with swinging around huge things, so I opt for sharp light stabbing implements. Just do what works for you, but keep it in mind. If you like using giant slabs of material to bludgeon stuff, maybe invest in something like tomekind.
SOME NEAT STUFF
There’s a lot of stuff that some people have discovered about strife specubi and weapons and stuff. Here’s a small sampling thereof.
Using knifekind impresses Jack Noir. He’s more likely to join you, and he stabs you softer. You still get stabbed, but it means something. Kinda.
Using swordkind increases your Pepleader stat.
Seers and Sages are unreal with tomekind. They get more bonuses, and the books have... secrets.
Fistkind is pretty decent, but glovekind is better. It doesn’t do as muh base damage, but you can alchemize gloves.
Please don’t try to alchemize your fists to prove me wrong. I will laugh.
I don’t care how much research you do, don’t try to “objectively prove” which weapon is best, you’ll look like an asshole.
Alchemizing instruments into your weapons provides bonuses to fraymotifs, once you get past the akwardness. Using [instrument]kind is better.
SHORT LIST OF GOOD SPECUBI
Knifekind (nice and precise, good for throwing)
Birdkind (eventually extends to weapons with bird motifs, just as powerful)
Wandkind (become a wizard, Harry)
Tomekind (there’s stuff to be found inside, don’t put pr0n in there)
Coatkind (roll and spin and slap)
Puppetkind (!!!)
Plushkind (hyperdeath)
