I'm really glad Ōkouchi avoided the ambiguous ending trope of "Wellllllll they might be together, we'll leave it up to your imagination. 🙂" that a lot of series with gay/lesbian subtext tend to fall prey to. No, they tell you they got married, and bash your head with it BY MAKING SURE YOU SEE THEIR MATCHING WEDDING BANDS.

i loved episode 14 and wanted to draw the ending scene from aerial’s pov! i took a lot of her characterization from the season 1 OP mv and the cradle planet short story. i think it’s fascinating how aerial is probably just as trapped in her situation as suletta is and completely lacks agency (though maybe that’s changing...), yet wishes the best for suletta, like a good older sister. if it turns out she’s completely different, ah well, this was still fun to draw..!

Given how inconsistent the show has historically been about the characters' relative scales, I have to imagine that the hand-holding shot involved someone looming over the animators' shoulder like it's very important that you clearly emphasise how much larger Suletta's hands are than Miorine's; this is essential for reasons.
