I guess a guitar guide:

Blue - Ibanez V70CE. Resident old woman. Got her when I was 13 and she’s probably warped but she’s important to me.

Birdie - Gibson Hummingbird. My primary acoustic.

Dottie - Yamaha Eterna EF-31. Bought off a friend of a friend for $10 back in 2018. Really good for country and folk.

Cheryl - Gibson ES-335. Named because she’s a cherry bombshell. My primary electric.

Korra - Fender Telecaster. Limited edition blue wave color. Mostly use for drop tuning because she has a heavier string gauge than the others.

Gretchen - Gretsch Streamliner. Christmas present from a few years ago. Pairs well with my Memphis Sun pedal for a retro vibe.

Champ - 1957 Fender Champion lap steel. 21st birthday present from a Nashville secondhand shop.

Jags - gone but never forgotten. Solid body black Gretsch. Weighed 14 pounds and I had to sell her after shoulder surgery because good God she hurt my arm.

Guitar tour

My lovely son my electric 😇 Good friend, easy to play, pretty rosewood fretboard, good sound, bought for $20 by my uncle in the 90s, stolen by my father, stolen by me. Does not hurt my hands ever. Is nice to me

His brother the acoustic. I don't like him. Evil. Hurts my hands. I gave him new copper strings and he's ungrateful and he hurts me. Given to me by mother and was given to her by her friend in a band. I call it the E Sex Guitar because in its cavity it bears the label E Sex

took this recording of my practice today, and i think its a pretty good snapshot of where i'm at with jazz improv! i definitely want to improve with speed but i'm otherwise really pleased with it

hi. for funsies, i took pics of most of my amps knobs. here are my findings

Spark 40 Positive Grid ��� DM-1100

Marshall Valvestate 100V Model 8100 – Marshall knobs (self explanatory)

Orange Crush Pro CR60 – i assume orange makes their own knobs because the only place i could find these exactly was their store, but many sources say MXR dunlop and minis work fine as replacement parts

Fender Acoustasonic 90 – Fender knobs (also self explanatory)

VOX Valvetronix VT20+ – not on the chart but they're VOX "Chicken Head" knobs

Blackstar HT Studio 20 – looks very similar to the MXR ECB-071s, but they're Blackstar's own knobs

Thinking about taking the Gretsch for a spin today. I’ve been neglecting her for the 335 and the Hummingbird.

A really nice Fender Jazzmaster would fix me I think. Sparkly pearlescent mint green with a tortoiseshell pick guard. Rosewood fretboard too methinks. I think about this a normal amount
