In de categorie speciale gitaren; de Riversong Tradition Canadian Special Edition heeft afstelmogelijkheden die ik bij akoestische gitaren eigenlijk nooit tegen kom. Zo kun je bij deze gitaar de hals de body heel precies in en uit laten schuiven om de intonatie bij te stellen én je kunt ook de hoek die de hals met de body maakt instellen. In afbeelding 2 is ingezoomd op deze afstelpunten. De halsconstructie is dus bewegend in de gitaar bevestigd, zo lijkt het alsof het bovenblad zwevend is opgehangen, knappe engineering. Naast zijn bijzondere vernuft klinkt de gitaar overigens briljant, hij heeft een mooi volume, een gebalanceerd helder geluid en wat mij erg opvalt is dat de noten zo "schoon" klinken, net of hij exact afgepaste smalle "frequentiespectra" speelt. Sommige gitaren zijn ware kunstwerken. Zo ook deze Cort Modern Black / Masterpiece Series die geen klankgat aan de voorzijde heeft maar twee ��sound ports” bovenop.
