Undersiders as WoW players:
Rachel // Tauren Hunter
Beast Mastery Hunter. Rolled a male Tauren because she thought they looked tough. Usually sticks with the coyote she tamed at level 10. Has a surprising variety of pets otherwise. Mostly plays solo and grinds professions (you only see her on raid night where she's top DPS). Picks an endgame zone as her territory and bullies out anyone trying to quest or grind. Gets mad when people won't shut up in guild chat. Struggled because she can't read quest text but got really into it after Taylor installed questhelper for her.
Aisha // Undead Rogue
Combat Rogue. Absolute menace. Ignored IRL but makes up for it by being infamous on her her server. Ninja looter, will roll need even if she can't use it. PVPer, will kill you when you're fighting a bunch of mobs then teabag you. Griefs her own team in battlegrounds just fucking around while she's holding the flag. Spends all her downtime ganking lowbies in STV, but she's actually really good at her class. kills you on your main too
Alec // Blood Elf Priest
Shadow Priest - rolled the same class as Lisa to fuck with her. Really only plays to screw around with Aisha. Has Aisha's password. Used to multibox on his siblings accounts but burned out. Doesn't do dailies, doesn't do professions, relies on guildies for free potions and food. Surprisingly into transmog. He's right there ganking with Aisha and mind controls kid win off a cliff. Stands in the fire.
Lisa // Blood Elf Priest*
Disc Priest but she's a huge altoholic. Toxic trade chat queen, starts shit and baits other players into getting banned. She's got a character in every major guild on the server - she's the one to invite a fill when they need another head. Okay at every class but she'll end up filling healing and crowd control - someone's got to keep this guild from self destructing. Recruited Taylor to the guild, helps Brian run shit outside of raid bosses. She's tracking everyone's DKP.
Brian // Orc Warrior
Prot Warrior. Guild Leader. Tanks because it's the manliest role. Kind of basic - he'd be a human warrior if the rest weren't horde. Maxed mining and blacksmithing because someone told him it's just what warriors do. Knows raid boss strats, knows what's BiS for each class, knows that none of it matters if they aren't going to listen to him. Pulling his hair out trying to run raid nights. Always marks himself with the skull raid icon. Pays for everyones consumables, also pays for the vent server. Quits for a bit, but comes back next expansion to reroll death knight.
Taylor // Troll Shaman
Elemental Shaman. Addon queen. Her screen looks like an excel sheet and you can barely see her character. Rerolled horde after her ex-guildie logged onto her account and deleted all her characters. Skips school to play. The biggest minmaxer you'll ever play with. Has to stop herself from telling people how to play their class. Hasn't noticed she's not even having fun anymore.

You've lost count at this point, the amount of days you've travelled but your pain tells a tale and a half. But Guild Amakiir's advertisements in the port town you just came from were too good to pass up. With the heavy rain it was almost impossible to locate the guild, but upon doing so the guild leader Creed offers quite the introduction...
More info under the cut!
Guild Amakiir is my excuse to have fun with people in the community. I've seen people do the bachelor and bachelorette but I haven't watched a single season- so I'll be damned if I don't do my own version with a fantasy twist!
Set in one of my many homebrew settings I've made for Dungeons and Dragons, Amakiir is a guild created well over 160 years ago. But after some unfortunate (see: entirely obvious) betrayals and tragedies they've fallen on hard times. What they need is a group of adventurers to gear up and make a name for themselves.
So, why not have everyone work together to do this? I figured why not have people make characters, and forge our own little band of misfits and see where they end up.
To send a Sim in they just need to meet the following requirments:
They have to be one of the D&D races, you can find these literally everywhere online. Go wild, hell if you find some cool homebrew why not!
They need to be assigned a class and subclass. You can once again find these online, DND Beyond is an amazing free resouce!
You absolutely do not need to roll stats for them. But if you're a dnd nerd and you want to, it's the roll 4d4, remove the lowest system- reroll any ones!
While I understand that they can't be CC minimal in some cases (sighs at aasimar and tabaxi etc), please try to not blow my computer up. thanks <3
Remember to have a download link available, or at least be ready for me to poke you about one.
I'll try to keep it to a ground of 6 picked out little gangs, and will probably add even more people!
I already have a few NPC's for the guild made but hell feel free to even make those if you want just poke me for any details.
use the #GuildAmakiirTryouts : )! I'll peek in next Friday (14th of June) and post who has gotten accepted into the guild!
I just want a fantasy collaborate event with people. And I am a tryhard so I did all of this.

do you know of any guides for granblue fantasy? it seems fun to get into it, but it's so overwhelming 😵‍💫
The gbf wiki is the best wiki resource to ever exist, and it's very well maintained!
https://gbf.wiki/
But most relevant to your question is the section called New Players!
https://gbf.wiki/Starting_Granblue_Fantasy
It explains how to set up an account and what to look for if you're rerolling. Even better is that the game itself recently created a very extensive new player experience called Knickknack Academy, which guides players through the ropes, gets you set up and, most importantly, caught up. It really demystifies a lot of the game and something the game really needed.
The English community is also very helpful and one of the better gacha communities; I highly recommend finding a crew (guild), because stronger players will basically be your mentors and carries when you're first starting. You can find English crews by searching the gbf community in reddit and discords (the reddit one and the wiki ones are popular general servers) or even here on tumblr--there's a gbf community:
Gbf isn't like modern gachas and is more akin to a MMO in how it plays. Your account is as strong as the work you put into it (so go ham or casual or both!), but all the story content is readily available without effort. We're also starting a collab in a couple of days, so the game itself will be rewarding a lot of freebs due to the influx of new players collabs bring.
The game can look pretty intimidating but it's honestly one of the more simple-to-start IMHO once you get past the archaic interface. It just looks intimidating cause there's a lot to do, but the Academy eases you into it and the community is generally helpful. This has been the longest gacha I've stuck with: no FOMO, constant updates, and great cast of characters, with gameplay I can tackle hard or easy as I please.
But yeah, start with the wiki to get into the game and then start the Academy once the game lets you.

Alright, Pathfinder 2e build time again. This time - Gambit.
Gambit as a design is tricky for most systems built for heroic fantasy RPGs, even ones embracing a kitchen sink setting. It's probably easiest to just reskin regular old spellcasting as throwing cards, but this is an attempt at making it work within mechanics.
So we're going to follow Pathfinder ABCs
Ancestry - Human - Versatile Heritage (Human doesn't do much special, but the Versatile Heritage gives us a free Level 1 feat that we'll take for Fleet for an extra 5 ft. of movement per action because moving farther is always good and appropriate for Gambit)
Background - Criminal (Obviously, it's Gambit, but this also gives him proficiency in Stealth, Criminal Underworld Lore, and a feat that makes him a better smuggler)
Class - Magus (Magus is a class that fights with weapons, can cast limited spells, and more importantly can channel spells into their attacks.)
Hybrid Study - Starlit Span (This is our Magus subclass - this one makes our coolest Magus abilities centered around ranged attacks. Early on, these will be Throwing Knives and occasionally channeled into our staff, but later on, we'll switch over to mostly our cards.)
Ancestry Feat - General Training - Pickpocket (This is an ancestry feat that gives us an extra general feat. We'll take Pickpocket to continue leaning into our Thieves' Guild Gambit)
Ancestry Paragon Feat - Natural Ambition - Magus' Analysis (This is an ancestry feat that gives us an extra Level 1 Class feat. This one gives us bonuses to Recall Knowledge (i.e. figure out info) about a target we've already hit and if we succeed, we get another use out of our Spellstrike. Handy.)
With our Attribute Boosts we end up with Str +0, Con +1, Wis +0, Dex +4, Int +1, Cha +3. This isn't an amazing spread, but we throw and attack with Finesse weapons very well, and are quite charming. We'll want to keep raising our Int, to improve spell damage, but we should be attacking or Spellstriking way more often than casting spells.
Take Skill Training in Diplomacy, Thievery, and Acrobatics, because of course, it's Gambit.
Level 2 we take Expansive Spellstrike as our Class Feat. This expands what kind of spells we can use in our Spellstrike to include spells with areas of effect.
Take the Skill Feat Bon Mot so you can fling Marvel one-liners at enemies during combat to mess with their Will Saves and Perception.
Pick Rogue as our Free Archetype. This gives us a new Skill Feat. We take Subtle Theft to keep getting better at Pickpocketing.
For our two Skill Trainings we take Deception and Occultism. Someone that knows about the X-Ternal probably knows Occultism too right?
For Level 3, we can go ahead and boost Thievery to Expert because, why not. It fits.
For our Ancestry Paragon feat, take Courteous Comeback. It lets you reroll failed Diplomacy checks pretty infrequently, but it fits flavor with backhanded Cajun compliments.
Then take Arcane Sense for the general feat because why wouldn't you want an innate Detect Magic?
Finally, at Level 4, being Gambit finishes coming online. We take Force Fang as our Class Feat, which gives us a new focus spell that lets our ranged attack basically be a 1 action magic missile.
Our Free Archetype is the important one. We take Fouberie which lets us two hand a deck of cards and enter a card throwing stance, state whether they are being used as daggers or darts, and now we're wielding 52 throwing weapons. (To note, I see no issue stating these are throwing knives, but that's GM choice)
And for Skill Feat, take Concealing Legerdemain so we're even better as a smuggler, concealing items hidden on our person via sleight of hand.
And that's really the bulk of it. Our card stance keeps us from entering Arcane Cascade, which would let us color our normal strikes with the previous spell's damage, but we're more focused on chucking cards, dancing around, and spell striking with our cards whenever we can.
Later levels let us take other Rogue feats like Strong Arm to increase card throw distance and Quick Draw if we need to break out our cards or melee weapon in a pinch. (I recommend taking a Whipstaff. It's an uncommon Level 0 weapon, so generally viable for starting character with GM permission. Once you show them what you're doing, they really shouldn't raise a fuss unless they're boring.)
Other than that, I mean, the rest is up to you. You've already got a passable heroic fantasy Gambit. Now it's just your choice on how to be even better.

Sky: COTL guilds called Flocks of up to 8 kids (the instance limit). you get a clubhouse that you can all build together and expand with multiple tiers (it's a treehouse) and maybe collaboratively fill with prop furniture. you can imagine the official trailer for this update already right. If technically possible you could have an option to set your clubhouse as your Home spawn location. new levels and other enhancements to the clubhouse could accept group resource donations (probably candles) to unlock, animal crossing public works style. Maybe each flock could also start out with a fairly unique cosmetic 'guild accessory' randomized out of a broad pool of colors and shapes, so that everyone in the flock could match if they choose to equip it. A group could reroll their accessory's appearance by feeding the accessory vendor a certain amount of currency with maybe a one day cooldown. I think this could be a fun long-term pursuit for a group and I think it would be funny to get an ugly one from time to time. Again the currency would probably be candles but you could maybe have a kind of guild currency obtained through doing guild stuff which I haven't even imagined yet. I don't think Sky is a very 'stick with your clique' game in its core social philosophy which is why I don't necessarily think there should be much gameplay content locked behind needing to do it with a guild but I think it would be fun to have a groupfeature regardless.

📇 — does your url have a meaning? if so, what is it?
This is a bit of a story, so bear with me. Back when I was playing WoW, somewhere around the middle of Wrath of the Lich King - when the Argent Tournament thingy dropped - I was in a "casual" raiding guild, raiding three times a week for three to four hours a day. The day that Tournament dropped, we stopped Ulduar farming to go to the Argent thing and - blind - dropped in expecting to progress. Unsurprisingly, we didn't.
But oh. Oh, the raid drama. The screaming. The cursing. The blame. I was so sick of it. I needed a break. I'd heard that there were servers people actually role-played on and I had fond memories of chatroom RP from the late 90s. I used to write, you see, but my muse died somewhere along the way and I hadn't written anything in years. So I decided I'd go find one of these RP servers and see what it was like.
I rolled a human female warlock.
On Moon Guard.
It took about twelve seconds for me to realize my mistake. I nuked her and rerolled a human male priest - an old-looking one, at that. I played Father Kostadin off and on for a month or two, when I was bouncing around the Moon Guard wiki and found an interesting looking guild called "Knights of Menethil." They purported to be the only all-death-knight guild in WoW. I liked death knights. They'd just lifted the restrictions on making them, so I could roll one without having an established character already, so...
I rolled a draenei female death knight.
She needed a name and I - planning on only dropping in with her occasionally as a break from the raid drama - didn't think very hard about it. I found a list of gods and goddesses. I selected the name of an Icelandic goddess of death because the cliche of it amused me, and added another vowel to make it "more draenei."
It turns out my muse was dead. And in service to the Lich King.
Not long after I started playing Valdiis, the raid group imploded from the drama. I happily skipped town to Moon Guard full time, writing my grumpy undead space goat. Eventually, I rose through the military-style ranks of the guild until I was the junior officer of the triumvirate that lead the guild. I met my husband through that guild. The third officer would've been officiant at our wedding had he been able to attend.
Until I'd created Valdiis, I went by either Rosoe (an even earlier RP character) or SeraphBriar, a standard internet handle that still haunts me in my etsy login. But after many years of writing her, Valdiis became something of a mascot to me. Although I've long ago left WoW behind (at the end of Legion), she is still my first child. Or at least, my first since becoming an adult.
This tumblr originally had a name relating to the RP character it was created for, but as I evolved away from him, I decided this tumblr needed to be something of a catch-all, removed slightly from strict IC rules. Valdiis - as a character - was retired, but I'd been known as Val(diis) for years by that point, so I changed this tumblr's name to hers.
For the most part, my internet presence is consolidated under that name now. But I'll never let myself live down the fact that it was originally a meme on death.

I “rerolled” to another server, faction, and class a couple of weeks ago to play with a long time friend in their active guild and am having a blast.
This is my sweet little druid, Yumyum. She’s restoration spec, a scribe and alchemist, and timed her first mythic+ 15 key tonight, was exciting! I moved my hunter over a few days ago too with all my gold. Her name is Tiropita now, and she’s a cutie pie human with thicc eyebrows :)

(Prefacing this with I'm rusty as heck with writing. That and sharing is...hard for me—I've been harshly criticized in the past and the joy of writing kinda disappeared because of it. If anything, I realize it might lack depth of emotion, for that's the hardest part for me to write as it's hard for me to articulate it properly.)
Blinding, striking pain lanced through his head, drawing a ragged gasp from him. His hands wanted to drift up to his head, yet they felt heavy, almost impossible to bring up. Instead, it felt like the tightened vice around the lower half of him released, he slumped down, falling on top of something soft and pliant. It was familiar in a way…but not one he could immediately place. Familiar voices called out as well, but not the one that he was looking for, as his consciousness slipped from him. All he could hope was that he was successful in saving Trahearne from Mordremoth.
The next time he remembered coming to, his companions were carrying him; his arms over their shoulders. But instead of the air being filled with joyous celebration and talks of the final battle… It was quiet. Dead quiet. Confusingly, there were a few, muted sounds of crying coming from behind him, punctuated with soft questions of "why?"
A frown spread across his face with his head bent down by gravity as he listened, his attempt to save Trahearne must not have been successful after all. Another flash of pain lanced through his chest, this time from no physical wound, but the hiss of pain drew attention still. The footsteps leading him on came to a stop, he could feel bodies turning towards him, one bending down slightly to look at his half-hidden face.
"Marshal Trahearne?" …What? "Marshal, sir? Are you awake?" He forced his eyes to open, blinking into the dimly lit jungle, they focused in on the aide-de-camp that Laranthir had issued to him before all of this had started. Those blue-grey eyes recognized him, yes, worried over him, certainly. But there was a lack of deeper connection in them, even though they had spent hours upon hours bonding over ale sitting by the campfire.
"Kirk…?" His voice came out raspy, as if he'd screamed his throat raw. No…not his voice. Familiar to him achingly well, but not his own. It couldn't be…
He stiffened in the arms that held him, forcing his knees to lock under him in order to at least get some semblance of control out of all of this. Their hold on him slackened from supporting to just hovering, another familiar face popped into view, Caithe. The concern on her face was striking, he had never seen her face look like that before. She'd shown lesser versions of it to him before when he'd gotten hurt as a Valiant, but this was different.
"Trahearne… Brother, please, let us help you." Her hands came up and cupped his face and Ventari help him, he couldn't help but lean into them as his eyes slipped close again. His head bent down and found itself pressed against her forehead, "Just breathe, brother. We're almost to Tarir now." Tugging his own arms free from those holding him, he covers her hands with his own, dragging in ragged breath after ragged breath.
Fingers grasping, gripping, he steadies himself against her for a moment longer before lifting his head out of her hands, "Caithe," he licks his lips, "What What happened?" There. Again. Trahearne's voice.
Eyes open again, his vision swims, thrown off by seeing things out of two eyes instead of the one. There's movement behind him, a restlessness, that causes him to turn his head back. Briefly, oh so briefly he sees it, before Caithe has grabbed his face again, pulled it back down so he only sees her teal eyes, "No, not yet."
It was odd, seeing it from this kind of perspective. The armor not so much seeing as he spent hours caring for it, seeing similar pieces on others, but the hair… The gray curl of the leaves and dark blue of the petals, stamen laying flat against it all and dull. It was night and yet there was no familiar light blue glow pulsing in and out. His mind started to whirl at the implications of it all, of seeing that form, familiar and yet somehow not. Something had gone wrong… Terribly wrong. I tried to help, but...
"Go back to sleep now, brother."
His breath hitched as he felt the curl of Caithe's magic taking hold of his weary mind; drowning out the cacophony of confusion, anger, denial that was sweeping through him. And the world went blessedly dark again.
(Sorry if any it is confusing with just references of he/him everywhere. Since at this point Comndarem has only roughly started to figure out that he's no longer in his own body.)

Playing both at the same time, I wanna say I prefer the Thieves' Guild questline to the Dark Brotherhood.
Not only did the Anniversary edition give them a home to sell you (a fully furnished house in the sewers - location influenced the price because the full house costs as much as an unfurnished house or unbuilt house in most other cities), but they also are great for cash, and you can reroll quests until you're targeting Nazeem.

DM: But you guys are able to then, so Moriarty who are you casting Invisibility on? Moriarty: Whoever I cast on and I guess Mary will get the rest, so I cast on Nathaniel. So yeah, I give Nathaniel a reassuring pat on the back and all of a sudden he's gone. DM: He disappears. Nathaniel (OOC): Hahaha, you disintegrated my boi. Tark (OOC): The boy! DM: Do you fill Literate in on that there's a second level to this or...? Tark (OOC): Oh no. Moriarty (OOC): That's a good question, do we do that? Marigold (OOC): No. Hunt (OOC): No, it's best not to get Literate involved. Literate: Umm?! Tark: All of a sudden the other three vanish. Hunt (OOC): Maybe there should have been some separation Marigold (OOC): We just tell them they have guild stuff to do and don't expand on that. DM: Okay, as long as she's aware of that something else is going on. Moriarty (OOC): Yeah. Tark (OOC): 'Cause then all of a sudden we just fuckin' vanish. Marigold: They have to go do guild stuff. We wanted to go shopping. Literate: Okay. Moriarty: Really, I wanted to see if I could get my money back from that... Marigold: I wanted to go shopping. Literate: Right. Okay. DM: So the rest of you are turned invisible. Tark (OOC): Holdin' hands. DM: Holding hands and familiars and head out into the fray. Tark (OOC): Should I do Pass Without Trace now or should we wait? DM: You should do it first before you are turned invisible because it will dispel. Hunt (OOC): Yeah, casting... DM: And if you cast a spell, you will lose your invisibility. Hunt (OOC): We learned that last night. Marigold (OOC): On purpose though last night. Hunt (OOC): Yeah. DM: Yes, it was on purpose, but yeah. -clarifying to Thaddius that Channel Divinity is not the same thing as Domain Spells- Tark: Anyway, okay first Pass Without Trace and then Invisibility. DM: Mm-hmm. Tark: Let's all roll what our... DM: Yeah, so go ahead and roll stealth with advantage, +10 Hunt (OOC): *laughing and rolling* Tark (OOC): Thank god we had advantage. Marigold (OOC): I swear to god if any of you fucking fail. Tark (OOC): Thank god we have advantage. My first one was a 2. DM: Post in the chat in Roll20, please. Nathaniel (OOC): I'm sorry, what happens if I, I know I have advantage, but what happens if I use my inspiration. Is that just reroll one of them? DM: Reroll one of them. Nathaniel: *rolls* great, I'll take that. DM: It's basically a third roll. Moriarty (OOC): Was it that bad? Nathaniel (OOC): I rolled a 1 and a 2. -various 'Oh's- Tark: [in chat] 28 for Tark Hunt: [in chat] 36 Tark: My first one was a 2, so I'm really glad we had advantage. Eudora: [in chat] 25 stealth. Tark (OOC): 36!? Moriarty (OOC): holy shit Hunt. Tark (OOC): Fuck, Hunt! DM: Hunt straight up disappears. Eudora (OOC): My first was also a 2, the advantage does definitely... Hunt (OOC): My first roll was a 3. My second was a 17. Tark (OOC): Jesus. Hunt (OOC): I have a +9 then +10, so... Nathaniel: I rolled an 11. DM: Alright, yeah, not bad. You guys vanish, barely managed to grab Hunt's arm before she is gone forever. -laughter- Moriarty (OOC): You're not really sure you're holding onto Hunt anymore. DM: It might not be Hunt, it may just be... Tark might be holding Nathaniel twice. -laughter- DM: You're not sure. Tark (OOC): We hear Hunt's voice from like 20 feet ahead of us and we're like 'What the fuck?!' DM: 'Whoa! Hey!' Tark (OOC): Who's the front person we're holding? DM:  But you all begin to make your way there.

All this talk about the pcu being gone is kinda moot when some of their most nastiest members simply shed their skin and now """hide""" in plain sight for everyone to see. A lot of them are congregating in the Stromgarde discord server (BIG WOW) and have either race changed or just rerolled off their pcu mains to join their guilds or places like Highvale, which is basically acting like the alliance version of Bloodsong IE a flop house for the pcu guys who can't find a home or beg for the 25 bucks to pay their consequences tax from daddy.
I don't see COAD being able to keep as tight scope over these guys either because their communities are like secret cults to join and ive heard at least Highvale literally screens your entire account and achievements
We are well aware that the PCU members have used their internet rat lines to try to hide from scrutiny, we know who they are, and we already have them under scrutiny. We are also cognizant that these other guilds are not actually PCU guilds, so we will be judging not the collective mass of players in them but the individuals responsible. So if we find that PCU-alt man is continuing to be extremely homophobic, transphobic and racist while within these guilds it is on the heads of them and the guild leaders who let them in the first place.
