not to toot my own horn but i would love to be on a watchlist purely bc i have a degree in critical identity studies. Like oh critical race theory? Yeah i have a degree in that. Oh??? DEI?? Yknow how i spent four years learning about the intricacies of what that means and whether it’s good or bad and why diversity and identity are important and what those things means outside of the lens of the patriarchal white supremacist western world ? Yes i know about that. Sorry 🤷‍♀️

#yes i think specifically the white ivory tower and academia and ~theory~ are problematic wrt to identify studies #BC they have been so deeply entrenched in said patriarchal white supremacist western world #so that’s its own issue which should not go unnoticed even w the attacks on affirmative action and DEI policies #but i do giggle with glee at the HORROR trump and his republican/oligarch cronies feel at the idea of a critical identity studies degree!!!#guess what guys it USED to be the women’s studies program but that WASNT INCLUSIVE ENOUGH so it expanded isnt that just the worst thing #you’ve ever heard???
