IT’S NO BIG DEAL — It's a little Big Deal actually.
Summary: You should meet his new friends... all two of them.
"What the hell is this?"
Arguably, he doesn't know if you'd look scarier or less scary without the huge knife you're waving. He has seen you beating people, some of them go out cold with only a kick to the face.
"Not only you went out and got caught up in gang fights, but you also brought back your unruly cohorts to my kitchen? Do you have no fear of death?"
Brad whispers next to him, "She called us unruly cohorts."
"She was raised well," Jake whispers back, "her vocabulary is more developed than us."
"I'm more terrified of the fact that she got us on our knees immediately," Jason hushes back at them, "Who is this girl? Why have you brought us to our deaths?"
Jake throws him a glance with a small smirk on his lips, "She's my future wife. Be nice to her, she'll be your future boss lady."
Jason opens his mouth but snaps it shut when you speak up. "Will you three stop whispering among each other and answer me already?"
With a pacifying smile, Jake raises his hand and gives you an imploring look. "We were hanging out after school and I mentioned to them how I often helped you cook. Hence..."
"Hence you brought them here to freeload?" You raise the knife and Jake flinches back. He knows he's in no real danger, but on some base levels of instinct, his mind's screaming at him to cower and run.
"When you put it like that, it sounds bad," his grin is strained, and he feels cold sweat running down his neck, "you mentioned wanting to test new recipes and I brought you new test subjects, that's all."
Immediately, Jason whips his head to stare at him. "That sounds even worse!"
Jake only grins further, like he didn't throw his friends under the bus a moment earlier. At least, you no longer look mad. You're mulling over his suggestion even, that look on your face when you contemplate is adorable.
Then you glare at him again, "Fine, but you better pull your weight," you say, "I'm not feeding you lots for free."
Brad and Jason are both staring at him now, but he ignores their wide eyes and gets back up on his feet. "As you command, my lady," Jake nods at his friends to follow his lead. After some reluctance, they follow.
You are quick with your delegation around the kitchen, he guesses that comes from your experience commanding him. He doesn't mind, making it go smoother without any unnecessary bickering. After listening to your precise instructions, Jason begins to dice the vegetables while Brad works to season the meat.
Jake has the easier task of helping you knead some dough. "What are we making?" He asks midway through his task, vaguely realizing he doesn't know what he's working on.
"I was going to make pot roast but since your friends probably want to eat sooner, I'm going to make roasted beef with vegetables," you say, "I'm reheating the stew I made yesterday and the rice only needs to be fried, I'll make tuna salad later. That should be quick to prepare."
He snorts. Even with your earlier scolding, you are making enough food to feed the three of them anyway. "Then what are these dough for?"
You throw him a perfunctory glance, "What else? Desserts."
Jake snickers but says nothing in response. Maybe he should have because his silence only leaves space for Jason to butt in. “So, how long have you two been dating?”
He can hear the record scratching in your head. From your expression alone, he knows your head must’ve blanked the moment you heard the question. Unlike you, Jake has no problem with the question. He could’ve taken the initiative to answer it, but he didn’t. Selfishly, he wants to hear the answer from you, even if it’s a denial.
“We aren’t dating,” you frown, “what gives you that impression?”
Jason fumbles, “Well, Jake said—”
Jake coughs loudly, cutting in. “It’s easy to misunderstand, the two of us often spend time with each other,” he hopes his explanation would temper any unfortunate outcome for him, “others can get the wrong idea.”
“Really?” You ask, nonplussed. Somehow, he’s disappointed by your quick recovery from the shock of the situation. “Guess that makes sense.”
Jake, on another hand, turns to Jason and pantomimes zipping his lips shut. He puts on a pleasant smile when you turn back with the pot of stew in your hands, his face is the picture of innocence. In his peripheral vision, he notices Brad clasping his hands in prayers. For who, he can't tell.
Thankfully, you notice none of that and what remains of the cooking session goes on without another noticeable hitch.
There are two things Jake predicted when he brought Jason and Brad over to your place. One of them is that they will see you and fall in love within three seconds because if that happened to him, then no reason why they should be infallible to your wily charm. The second thing is more plausible and amusing all the same, all it takes is for them to eat one bite of your cooking and they'd be heads over heels for you too.
He wouldn't blame them if they never want to leave afterwards. You're simply that irresistible.
Since the previous outcome didn't happen due to your unbridled rage, Jake has a pleased smile on his lips when the boys change their entire demeanour the moment they begin to eat. It's like watching someone actualizing their enlightenment in real-time. Fascinating and wild in equal measure, he can't say he doesn't enjoy watching it.
"So?" Jake asks the question you want to ask but is too polite to mention. You focus on your food, but he knows you're listening because there's a small smile on your lips when Jason answers.
"Holy shit," Jason gawks at him, "you get to eat like this every day?"
Jake grins, "Only when she feels generous enough to grace me with her blessing."
You stick your tongue out at him but the smile on your face when you look back down at your food tells him all. It has been a nice idea bringing Brad and Jason over, even if he did spring it on you out of nowhere.
He could've spent the remainder of the meal watching you, but he knows there are far more productive things he can do. Jake turns to Brad, who has been silent the whole time. Getting his opinion would be a good idea, too. Even if—
"Hey! Eat faster! Brad is eating everything!"
By the end of the meal, Jason and Brad have volunteered for dishes and cleaning duty. You sit at the dining table to monitor them, if only because you don't want anything to happen to your family's chinas. Jake takes the chance to sit back, too. He would love to lend a helping hand, but three would be a crowd.
Besides, he enjoys the chance to talk with you without the interlopers.
"You don't mind?"
He nods at his new friends milling around the kitchen. It'd be a moment before you give him your answer, but the wait is worth it because he's warm all over now. "Not really," you say, "I'd have preferred you giving me a head up so I can prepare better but... it's nice to see you hanging out with friends. You've been hanging out alone for so long."
Jake snorts, "I wasn't hanging out alone, I had you."
"I can't be your only friend, Jake," you chuckle, "'sides, we don't even go to the same school or study in the same grade, it's nice to see you having friends who have more in common with you."
"You and I have plenty in common," he says, "like... we live in the same neighbourhood."
You roll your eyes but your smile is affectionate when you look at him, "Yeah, and once you moved away after you finished school, we'll no longer be friends?"
"You make it sound bad," he laughs softly, "I won't let that happen."
"Mhm, whatever," you hum. "They seem nice, I hope the three of you will stay friends for long. It's better to have many people watching your back since you get into trouble all the time."
He can't help but grin, "Do I seem that unruly in your eyes?"
You arch an eyebrow at him, "Do you want to hear the truth? It will hurt your feeling."
"Please spare me then, my fair lady," he pleads mockingly, "I can only take so much of your cruelty."
Caught in the little bubble he has made with you, Jake fails to overhear the conversation his new friends are making behind his back. All the better because if either of you heard it, he wouldn't know how to play it off without lying.
"...He's whipped."
"He's definitely whipped."

Geez
It's the 19th of May and I haven't posted since late April. That's a sad state of affairs on this ol' blog. Since my last post we have celebrated Jamie's birthday and Mother's Day, two noteworthy occasions. In the near future we have Tyler's birthday, Father's Day, and Matt's upcoming trip to Ireland. Plenty to look forward to and celebrate, June should be a delight. On Saturday the library hosted a celebration of our renovations and re-opening (even though they been open since January). There was a ribbon cutting, food and drink, and a good crowd. I spent five hours in the children's area applying glitter tattoos to lots of small hands and arms.
This little guy was thrilled with his glittery blue Batman emblem. He stole my heart.
I actually put lots of books into those little hands as well, so mission accomplished. After working all week and then surviving enjoying a busy Saturday I didn't do much of anything on Sunday. We browsed the auction house. Do I need this globe?
Probably not. I'll bet the countries are outdated and if it doesn't open up and become a James Bond style liquor cabinet, what good is it? I'm 100% sure that I don't need this gal around giving me body issues.
Is it just me, or does she kind of look like Caitlin Jenner? I talked the mister into cruising into the Starbucks drive-thru while we were out. I'd had a headache for two days, and darned if an iced caramel macchiato didn't cure it. I guess there's something to be said for caffeine and sugar. I enjoyed every drop. Once home, Mickey went to his office to work on photos and I puttered. I checked out the gardens and gave everything a pep talk. The mister has been murdering moles so I have high hopes that the grass will fill in and flourish. At this point I'm willing to spray paint the dirt green. I ended up on the porch, which is looking so pretty. I'll have to snap some pics and share them. I don't know why a pretty porch makes me so happy, but it does. For dinner I cut up some chicken thighs and made bourbon chicken in a skillet - no actual bourbon involved. It's basically that yummy food court chicken. The recipe is apple juice, apple cider vinegar, low sodium soy sauce, ginger, garlic, pepper, and brown sugar. After the chicken cooked I thickened the sauce with a little cornstarch slurry and served it over rice. I topped it with a little diced green onion and sesame seeds to make it pretty. Normally I'd have tossed in some broccoli florets but I didn't have any. There was a crunchy cucumber in the frig so I sliced that up for our veggie. I probably should have made a salad, but I'm just so dang tired. I've started questioning my Oregon Trail viability. That was always how I judged my health/fitness - whether or not I'd survive walking beside a wagon for four or five months. I knew I could do it, even enjoy some of it. Now I know I'd be jumping off at the first trading post. I'd be selling maps in Missouri at the jumping off point. I don't feel good, I don't look good, and I'd just be dead weight in the wagon. Leave me, save yourselves. All of that to say that I've become a bit of a bore. I work most days and get home after six (sometimes eight) and my routine is the same - eat dinner, watch Jeopardy, take a hot bath, read in bed. Ho hum. Where's the fun? I've lost my magic. I really need to find my way back to playing with words and paint and paper. I miss it. I feel like a hypocrite saying that. Before taking the position at the library, I was lonely, isolated, longing for friends, and looking for a purpose in this dull town. Now I get to talk and laugh with nice people at work, I certainly have a lot to do, there aren't enough hours in the work day to finish everything (I have a deadline hanging over my head right now that is stressing me out!), and I actually do feel a little appreciated. The paycheck is a nice bonus. So I suppose I got what I wished for, I just didn't want it nine hours a day. I don't have a life. Right now the library is very short staffed, and I think everyone is stretched thin. Most people have no idea of how much work is involved in keeping a public library not just open, but relevant. The programs that we offer, the community outreach, the technology that we have to stay on top of, the daily tasks of keeping track of a large inventory, fielding reference questions from patrons and finding the resources and answers they need, processing materials that come and go in large tubs, the list goes on and on and that doesn't even include just the regular check-ins and outs. My calendar also includes a lot of children's programs - tomorrow I'm working with Petite Picassos, another day I'll be making bee hotels with a group of twenty, don't even ask about Bubblepalooza (guaranteed bad hair day). I've actually managed to get a month ahead in gathering materials and planning for displays. I have some birds to paint, but otherwise I'm ready. Getting ahead on some things means putting others at a lower priority - which is why I have an online training class for Beanstack, the software we'll use for all of our summer reading programs, still on my to-do list. I'm supposed to have it completed by the 22nd. Maybe if I don't get it done they'll fire me.
I just want my life back. Not even all of it, maybe just half. I wanted to be a volunteer. Help.
Okay, I've whined enough. It's past time to get my clothes ready for the morning, pack a little lunch, and pray that the building burns down overnight. Just kidding. Kind of. Sorry for this mess of a post, I just wanted to keep this blog alive. It tells the story of my life since 2007 and I'd hate to let it fade away now. I suppose everything runs its course, but I'm not ready yet. Thanks for staying this long and reading this far. Sending out lots of love tonight. I hope it finds you. I also hope that joy finds you - we can all use a healthy dose of that. It's most often homemade. I'll be back during the weekend. Until then, stay safe, stay well, stay hopeful. XOXO, Nancy

also accompanying seadall tummy image for the fic:
---
"Well, what does it say?"
Seadall put a finger to his lips, gazing over the cards that seemingly glowed with the faint light from the campfire. "Though your days may be filled with plight, let laughter bring merriment for tonight," Seadall recited the fortune laid out in front of him, before looking up to see Alear's disappointed expression from the other side of the cards. "What? You seem.. unimpressed."
Alear gave a huff as he put his hand to his chin, seemingly in dumbfounded thought. "I guess, I was just expecting something a bit.. more? Like, something to help guide me through the war, or maybe even something simpler, like what I should focus on when it comes to training. It just seems too straightforward, I suppose."
"You should lower your expectations, then," Seadall said with a shake of his head, gathering his cards back together. "Fortunes are not meant to provide all the answers you might seek. Just be content that it's not something more ominous."
"Maybe, uh," Alear paused, motioning to the deck of cards by flipping his hand repeatedly, "maybe try doing another one."
Seadall scoffed with a raised eyebrow. "I assure you that the cards will read a similar result."
"Please."
"Divine One-"
"I asked you not to call me that." Seadall couldn't help but roll his eyes at the slight pout that Alear's face adorned, but he complied with a smile.
"Alear," he corrected himself, "take the fortune as a sign to just relax and.. enjoy the night." Seadall gestured with his arms to the surrounding campgrounds. "As of right now, you and your comrades are well, the Somniel is safe, the night is at peace, there's plenty of food to eat-" As luck would have it, the sudden guttural grumble emanating from his own stomach cut Seadall's words off, prompting the dancer to quickly slap his arms over his abdomen. He grimaced at the smirk that began to form on Alear's face, his eyes shying away from the smug glint in Alear's own.
"Plenty of food to eat, yet that excludes you, for some reason."
"You already know why," Seadall pressed his arms into his stomach, suppressing another growl as Alear continued to nag him.
"I know why, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with it," Alear huffed, before reaching for the bag next to him. "Luckily for you, I brought something that might just appeal to your interests."
Seadall didn't get the chance to question what Alear might be referring to when the other pulled out a separate paper bag, before rummaging through the secondary containment, pulling out what looked to be a little golden brown nugget-
Rice croquettes.
His eyes widened at the tiny little morsel that Alear held out in the palm of his hand, gesturing for Seadall to take it in his own. "I know these are your favorite, so I had them made specially for tonight," Alear said with a little wiggle of his eyebrows, an obvious sign that he knew exactly what he was doing. Intrusive thoughts of the rice croquette began to invade his mind, starting with the satisfying crunch of the flaky golden exterior that contrasted perfectly with the soft rice filling, followed by the spice combination that came together to create an exquisite experience of flavors. He could almost imagine that initial crispy layer just barely gracing his lips-
"NO!" Seadall suddenly blurted out, ripping his eyes away from the dastardly temptation just within reach and shoving those unholy thoughts back into the recesses of his mind. "Keep that thing away from me!" Maybe his reaction was slightly over the top, but anything to distract Alear and himself from the ever growing rumbles that his stomach was insistent on producing in both frequent and louder quantities.
"But Seadall, I made these with you in mind," Alear half-whined with a tease to his voice, hobbling over on his knees with the food still in his hand. Seadall scowled in response as he continued to push away from the approaching threat. It was absolutely imperative that he maintain self-control, lest he risk losing the perfect physique he had built over the years to hone his dance prowess. Submitting to temptation could easily set him back an exorbitant amount of time and, not to mention, he already did have his cheat day this week, treating himself to some creme brulee with other members of the army.
"I-I cant!" he insisted, though, it honestly felt like Seadall was more scolding himself at this point. The back-and-forth between the two continued until Seadall finally took the initiative, slapping out his hand to knock the rice croquette of Alear's own, followed by a brief moment of silence as the two watched the piece of food briefly roll away along the grass. A sigh of relief slipped past his lips as he felt the temptation begin to slowly ebb away, but that feeling of ease was short-lived the moment Alear suddenly pounced on him, grunting in shock with the sudden weight pressing him to the ground. "Alear! W-What are you- nohohOHOhoho! W-Whahahat is thiHIHIhihis?!"
This was not how Seadall imagined the night would go, pinned down by the Divine Dragon himself as Alear.. tickled him? What made things worse was that Seadall's exposed stomach seemed to have gathered Alear's full attention, a victim to the onslaught of pokes and squeezes that were dished out. He shrieked with each jab to the bare skin, flailing his arms in a failed attempt to stop Alear in his tracks.
"DivIHIHIhine Ohohohone, plehehehase!" he shrieked, feeling the tips of Alear's fingers dangerously approaching his navel. Why tickling of all things?!
"It's Alear," he punctuated the reminder with a solid jab, forcing a squeak from Seadall's mouth. "Besides, your stomach is clearly craving some kind of attention and if you're not going to do it, then I'll just have to step in."
With tickling?! "NAHAHAHA! W-WAHAHAHAIT! COME OHOHOHON!" Alear's fingers acted as individual claws, digging into the toned stomach with various techniques. His pointer fingers sank into the recesses of his navel, sending what felt like electric shocks through Seadall's body, while his thumbs pressed into the skin, massaging various pressures of blunt force. The rest of his fingers seemingly had varying agendas of their own, from randomly diddling against his stomach to a more synchronized approach of poking. Each technique was already bad enough, but combined together absolutely sent Seadall up the wall. His laughter was an assortment in response, from bellowing shrieks to high-pitched giggles and Seadall was at a loss with how to deal with the overwhelming sensations, choosing to instead sit there like a half-dead animal, allowing his laughter to take over.
"Y'know, all you have to do is feed your stomach one of those rice croquettes," Alear teased, resorting to giving the bare tummy multiple squeezes with each hand. "Can't have my teammates going hungry, after all."
"PLEHEHEHASE!"
"Hmm? Please? As in please feed my tummy food?"
"NOHOHO- OKAHAHAY!" Seadall finally conceded, giving into Alear's demands. "OKAY! FIHIHIHINE!"
"You sure?"
YehehHEHEhes!" Alear's hands had slowed to a more gentle motion, but still kept up their pace, until Seadall had given his final confirmation. Once done, Alear beamed and lifted himself off of the dancer to grab the paper bag, leaving Seadall in his drained state to recover on his own. It didn't take long for the other to return, however, and Seadall finally sat up, looking wearily at the rice croquette offered by Alear's hand.
"Well, go on," Alear motioned with his hand. As if on cue, Seadall's stomach went off once more, prompting Alear to give another nudge with his hand and Seadall took the snack with a sigh. He watched as Alear sat down next to him, pulling another rice croquette out of the bag for himself, before taking a bite of his own. Seadall gave his own rice croquette one final look, taking the tiniest of bites.
The croquette itself was fine, though Seadall admittedly could do better. It wasn't fair to hold Alear to a fault, however, as the prince hardly had any time to practice his own cooking, but the croquette itself was of decent quality and Seadall himself wasn't complaining. The dancer found himself taking faster bites and the pang in his stomach slowly subsided, realizing that maybe he was hungrier than he initially thought.
"Hey, do you know what I just realized?" Alear asked between bites.
"Hm?"
"The fortune," Alear paused to swallow, "it came true!"
Seadall paused for a moment, giving himself time to recall what the other was talking about. "Though your days may be filled with plight, let..." he grimaced as he realized what Alear was referring to, "let laughter bring merriment for tonight."
"You're such a good fortune teller, Seadall!"
Seadall huffed and furrowed his eyebrows, crossing his arms at the smug grin Alear was giving him. "I'm never reading another fortune for you ever again."

「 Camu and Kamui」
ACTIVATION DAY: OCTOBER 23RD Please click Keep Reading to continue…|
Hmmm... Ahem.
I knew an event like that was your idea. Although Kamui shares an Activation Date with me, he was surprisingly unmindful about today. Still, I had a feeling that he was looking forward to something. Ahem. I didn't think you'd prepare dishes for the occasion... They might look senseless, but they didn't taste too bad. Much better than what Chrome, Kamui, and Wanshi could make. Also... Thank you for the cake. I... don't think I've tasted the sweetness of cream in a long time. It's been a while since we all gathered like that. I suppose it wasn't as annoying as I thought, gathering now and then. Have I become soft because of this place? Or is it something else? Somehow, I find this world not as loathsome as before... Tch. I ordered dinner beforehand, but now that you've messed with my plan, I guess you can take the food instead. Don't thank me. From: Camu's Letter I
-Don't Eat The Takeaway!
Hey! What are you? Stupid?! Don't just put anything in your mouth! You were lucky I found out just in time! Otherwise, they'd court-martial me for attempted murder on a commandant! The takeaway I gave you... Ahem-didn't you guys make food to celebrate my Activation Date? I was looking at it, and I thought, "How hard could it be?" Well... the fried rice I made was a little burnt, I'll admit. I was going to throw it away and just get you a takeaway, but I took the wrong box... And why would you think that burnt rice is safe to eat? Ahem. I bet you still haven't eaten anything with everything that happened. This nightmare-spicy golden egg fried rice and cheese hotteok is from the restaurant in the commercial district. I was going to have them for dinner, so they're safe to eat. Is it just me, or does this Activation Date feel like a mess? Still... I guess it's only fitting that the day would be as chaotic as it was. .. suppose I have to "make up" for all that trouble, don't I? There's a new restaurant I've been hoping to try. I thought we could give it a go together, so l've booked us a table every day next week. I'll be waiting for you there at dinnertime. See you tomorrow. From: Camu's Letter Il
Mission Recieved!
What's up, Commandant? This is the first time I talk to you this way... What's it called again? "Letter"? Whatever! It doesn't make any difference. Waiting for your reply is an exciting feeling, though. Cap told me you require assistance from one person for a mission, so I immediately took the job! I'm pumped just thinking that I can fight alongside you. Pumped! Oh, the anticipation! It doesn't matter what job it is-I always have a good time when I'm with you, Commandant! I'll be on my way when you receive this! Time to show you how powerful I am after I leveled up! Hehe, see you soon! From: Kamui's Letter I
I'm So Happy, Commandant!
A surprise for my Activation Date! That was today's "mission"?! I did guess it, a little bit, but I wasn't expecting a surprise like that! And, and, and! The gift you gave me was something I've wanted for a long time! Someone must have looked through my history. Who was it? Cap? Wanshi? Or... you, Commandant? I will never ever forget about today! By the way, have you guys planned something for Camu too? I can't wait to see his expression! Hehe! Right, speaking of gifts-I have something for you too, Commandant! Although I didn't make it myself, it's a collectible l've had for a long time! Warrior's Greatsword! Isn't it cool! I always wanted to find a time to give it to you properly, but the timing never worked out. Well, there's no better time than giving it to you now! On the battlefield, Constructs are warriors, but so are you. As we charge in, you protect us in the back as one of us. That's the thought that gives me the strength to defy the future. Ahem... It's weird to thank you so formally, but still. Thank you, Commandant. Not only for the surprise today. Thank you for protecting this world. Protecting us. From: Kamui's Letter II

Here’s part two of my Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare fic! Part 1 is here if you missed it! Enjoy!
Author's Note: Hey readers! This is going to feature Ghost without his mask! Hope I did the fans justice! Pics are from Pinterest! Little shout out to @cravingcoldoreocake123, @m0chac0ffee, and @nsharks @cheezbites @ladyelissarose
***********
Ghost woke up in a dimly lit room. A hard mattress was underneath him. The room smelled musty, but he could make out the smells of cooking, of sweat and disinfectant. His shoulder throbbed. The bedding felt scratchy and rough on his skin. He could hear the distant sound of a television. Not all houses had them in this area. He went to rub his eyes, and realized his mask was gone. He looked and saw his clothes folded on the floor beside the mattress. He heard a door open and craned his head slightly, seeing the kid come into the room. The kid said one word in English before lapsing back into Farsi.
“Awake!” he exclaimed, and rushed over to the other side of the room. Ghost sat up, wincing in pain. He had to use every bit of strength to keep his body up as the kid rummaged through something. The kid grabbed what appeared to be a box, and returned to Ghost.
“Here.” he said. Ghost took the box carefully and opened the flap. Tea bags. Oh, the kid figured out he was British and knew people from England liked tea. Good work, kid. He set the box down. He looked down and saw his shoulder had been bandaged. The boy noticed this and went back into the other room, coming back holding a small piece of metal.
“Bullet was in you.”
“Did your mum take it out?”
The kid looked confused. Maybe he didn't know enough to understand. The door opened and a woman stepped in. Her face was covered, but she seemed young.
“I’m sorry if my brother is bothering you.” Her English was stilted, but clear.
“Don't worry, I needed the company.”
“Farid, go to the kitchen.” The woman said to the boy. Farid walked into the next room.
“My name's Amina.”she said softly. “What are you doing all alone in the middle of nowhere? Are you lost? Do you need help?”
“Yes. No! Yes? I’ll...I guess I'll explain everything later.”
Amina left the room and came back with a plate. She sat it in front of Ghost.
"You need to eat."
Ghost looked at it; rice and beans. He could smell some kind of spice; cumin, and maybe turmeric. He picked up the spoon.
"I'm sorry." Amina continued. "I hope you feel better soon.”
"Where is your family?" he asked, taking a bite of the rice and beans. The spices exploded across his taste buds.
“My parents died a few years ago. It's just Farid and me. Don't worry about the other villagers; nobody comes out this way.”
She paused.
“Why are you wearing a military uniform? You're a soldier yourself?”
Ghost looked up from his meal.
“I don't want to talk about it.”
Amina sighed. He wondered if she understood him.
“Alright.” Amina glanced at him. A scarf covered most of her face, but Ghost couldn't help but notice that she had the most beautiful green eyes. They were piercing and intense.
"If you need anything, you call me. I'll tell Farid. He'll get you anything you want. Now, finish eating. You look very hungry.”
**************
After eating, they talked for a while. Amina told him about her life growing up in the village. She was too young to remember the first time the Taliban had been pushed out, but she remembered the short years of going to school; learning English, wondering about the world outside her village. Her parents had been modern; wanting their daughter to have a future, their young son to know peace. It hadn’t lasted, though.
“Do you have a family back in England?” Amina asked.
Ghost didn’t know how to answer that. What could he tell her?
“I did…” He said. Amina didn’t ask anything else. She picked up the dishes and left the room. After she left, Ghost stood painfully. He was still in his fatigue pants, and an old t-shirt had been pulled on over him. His boots were by the bed. He saw a bathroom, and walked in. Amina’s family must have been lucky, there was a sink and shower. He figured there must be an outhouse. He looked in the mirror, feeling weird without his mask. Amina must have washed his face; his camo makeup was gone. A few scars were etched on his face; old battles still there. He went back to the mattress, feeling drained. He knew he couldn’t stay here long, but he was thankful to still be alive. Thankful that someone had saved him.

ʟᴏᴠᴇ ᴀɴᴅ ʜᴇʀᴏᴇs - ᴍʏ ʜᴇʀᴏ ᴀᴄᴀᴅᴇᴍɪᴀ x ғᴇᴍ! ʀᴇᴀᴅᴇʀ
1.) ʟɪғᴇ ɢᴏᴇs ᴏɴ.
At a very young age, [Y/N] and her brother were left with 3 children (from different fathers) by their mother who was irresponsible enough to abandon her own children. Unfortunately on a rainy day, Kaede, their 4 year old sibling died because of a villain attack. Which is why [Y/N] yearned to be a hero.
Life was hard. But, thanks to their older brother, he had a job where he works as a mental health nurse at psychiatric ward
But, of course, that isn't enough to support all of them. So, [Y/N] had to work part time jobs, also having to multitask being a mother to her siblings and a hard working student.
Bringing up the subject of wanting to be a hero, Chichiro ([Y/n]'s older brother) motivated them to do so. After [Y/N]'s entrance exam, the results quickly came in and she got accepted.
Chichiro was so happy for her, so happy that he took all of them to a restaurant, even if he knew it would hurt their allowance. But, then again, its not that bad to celebrate.
---
The girl woke up extra early, 5:00 to be exact. To cook food, iron the clothes for her siblings and get their food ready. Gazing at the time, Chichiro will be knocking at the door in..3..2...1.
"I'm home.." He greeted, entering the house and taking off his shoes. [Y/N] smiled at him. The tired on his face was obvious, the dark circles on under his eye and dry lips made it visible that he's been working all day.
Mei and Isamu busted the door open, running around energetically.
[Y/N] sighed, tired as well. "I'll get them to eat their breakfast and dressed up. You get ready, Hm?" Chichiro suggest, as [Y/N] smiled gratefully at her brother.
When she finished getting ready, she kissed Mei and Isamu goodbye and waved to Chichiro as she left the room. When [Y/N] got out of her apartment, Kenshiro, her friend was waiting, with a rice ball in hand munching away.
Tagawa Kenshiro, his quirk is: SWORD. His quirk allows him to turn anything he touches turns into a sword or a katana he can also turn it into whatever size he wants, though, the longer or sharper he wants it to be, the harder it would be to make it.
Kenshiro has jet black hair and eyes, He is obsessed with eating and is probably the most unbothered person alive!!
[L/N] [Y/N], Our main character! Her quirk is called: BARRIER. (guess which devil fruit I got that from. Hehe.) Her quirk allows her to make barriers, by crossings her fingers. She can also control how tall, how long, how thick it can be and she can also control whatever shape she wants it to be!! She can even make a barrier float in mid air! Though, her current weakness is to make multiple barriers at the same time!
[Y/N] is a loving, kind student, she's also a good mother figure to her siblings who values and cares for them!!
-----
A lot has happened since entering UA. While training, Class 1-A got attacked my Villains and had to fight them. But, besides all the has happened, [Y/N] found caring friends she could trust.
At class, Aizawa sensei announced that the UA festival is coming soon and that the class should be prepared. Everyone enjoyed the thought of the festival and cheered.
"Our sports festival is one of Japan's big events. The Olympics used to be called the festival of sports. Now it's reduced in scale and population and it's just a mere formality. UA sports festival has taken the place of the Olympics." He explained.
"All the pro Heroes will be watching us for scouting purposes!" "Right! It's normal to join a pro-agency as a sidekick!" Kaminari added. "Of course, being in a popular hero agency will provide more experience and popularity. Time is limited, being chosen by a hero opens up your future. Once a year, there only a total of three chances."
"If you have the will, be sure to be prepared!" "Yes!" When homeroom was dismissed, everyone mingled with eachother, The sports festival being the main topic.
After, every girl got invited to Mina's table where all the girls could gossip together without gross and noisy boys.
"Let's talk boys!" Mina said. Toru squealed and stood next to [Y/N]. "Omg! Omgggg!!! Who do you guys think is the most boyfriend material in class??" She asked, excitedly.
"..Boyfriend material..?" Ochako said as she thought about it. "Midoriya." Tsuyu replied, as everyone looked at her. "I agree, he's very sweet, smart and strong too." Momo nodded.
"Midoriya is too kind!" Toru said and huffed. "You don't like kind men?" Jiro asked, raising an eyebrow. "I didn't mean that! I want men with flavour! Y'know!!" "Bakugo?" [Y/N] suggests.
"Yes! But, he's too..violent." she sighs. "Your close with Kenshiro, [Y/N], are you two couples?" Mina questions. "Ehm, me and Kenshiro are childhood friends, so we look at eachother as siblings." The girl replied scratching her neck.
"Omg! He's so cute though! You've got to give me his number!" Toru squealed. As [Y/N] giggles.
----
Before the festival, [Y/N] Began training more and harder, eager to atleast get noticed by a hero. Soon, the festival arrived and the day came.
Everyone was cheering, the seats filled with excited watchers. [Y/N] looked for the camera and crossed her fingers, posing.
Mei and Isamu said they were going to be watching so the could cheer her on.
The first event was an obstacle race. Todoroki froze the ground resulting in everyone getting stuck. Before landing on the ice and slipping, [Y/N] quickly crossed her fingers and jumped on a barrier she created that sprouted from the ground.
"Pillar!" The barrier then began getting taller as she continued making more, jumping on them as she made her way to the next course.
She made sure to jump quickly so she could get rid of the other pillar and make a new one, making multiple barrier pillars is really hard and weakens her.
When she arrived, she saw a few students looking shocked. It was robots, the one everyone fought in the entrance exam. But, nothings going to stop her. Because after all, protecting herself is her specialty.
She smiled and charged under the robot. "WOAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! [L/N] [Y/N] FROM CLASS 1-A CHARGED IN WITHOUT HESITATION!!!! AIZAWA, WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO YOUR CLASS!!!!" Present Mic yelled through his mic as everyone gasped and cheered.
A robot aimed at her, but before it can hit, she crossed her fingers and made a big barrier float in mid air, protecting her from the attack, wasting no time.
"AND SHE'S THE FIRST ONE TO ENTER!!!! OHH! FOLLOWED BY TODOROKI, WHO FROZE ALL OF THE ROBOTS!!" [Y/N] turned to see Todoroki behind her with serious gaze.
She huffed, and ran more faster. The next was a lot more harder, if you fall you.. could die. Sweat dropped on her forehead, 'I already wasted my energy on making big barriers. then, I'll have to use a different strategy.'
[Y/N] crossed her fingers, and made a floating barrier, about the size of her foot enough for her to hop on. She made another until she can reach the next obstacle.
She was the third to enter the next obstacle, panting. The next one was dangerous, if you step on the wrong part of the ground, you get blown up.
[Y/N] repeated her trick, hopping on to her barriers, careful not to fall on the ground. She looked forward, Todoroki, Bakugo and Izuku was already on the lead.
She slapped her cheek, 'Even if I'll get 4th place. As long as I get noticed.' [Y/N] glanced where the pro heroes sat and crossed her fingers, looking at the ground.
She made small floating barriers to hop on that was leading up wards. Even if she fell a heavy feeling on her chest, as it began weakens her, she continued on with a determined look.
She jumped off and slid on a barrier slide she made. [Y/N] landed and entered the finishing line, after Todoroki, Bakugo and Izuku.
[Y/N] fell on her knees panting like a dog. The results came up and she was in 4th place. She smiled.
-----
[Y/N] walked in the rain, umbrella in hand. "You were amazing Mommy!!!" Mei, [Y/N]'s 5 year old sister cheered. "You were like this! Barrier!!! Then the robot's hand got crushed!!!" Isamu crossed his fingers imitating the girl.
She sighed, "But I wasn't in the top three..." [Y/N] fake cried. "It's okay mommy! You were cool though!" Isamu said, tugging at her uniform, as Mei nodded furiously.
She smiled at her siblings. "Aw, thank you..what would I ever do without you..?"
------
She sat on her seat, glancing at Todoroki, [Y/N]'s seatmate. He was second place at the festival, she felt something different about him. His eyes flickered to [Y/N] as she quickly looked away, blushing in embarrassment.
Aizawa sensei entered the classroom, "Goodmorning. Today's Hero Informatics Period is a little special. Codename, you'll pick hero names." He said, with his emotionless voice.
Everyone cheered, excited. He then showed the offers everyone got for the internship.
[L/N] [Y/N] - 10
"Oh, I got an offer." [Y/N] said, surprised. Kenshiro clapped for her.
Midnight entered the room, the boys blushed, flustered. "Midnight will evaluate your choice of names." He said and went in his sleeping bag and slept.
After Tsuyu presented her hero name, [Y/N] raised her hand to volunteer. "C-could I go next..?" "Why of course!!!" She placed her while board down.
"My hero name is 'Gaurdian', since my quirk is more on protecting and I also want to protect people.." she blushed as she felt her classmates gazes on her.
"How clever!!" Midnight praises.
------
After the internships, [Y/N] grew much more stronger and learned new things. Next, Final exams was coming and everyone decided to work and study harder.
Isamu slept on [Y/N]'s lap while Mei slept peacefully behind her. Of course, being a student isn't the only thing she has to prioritise. She had to take care of her siblings, which is stressful enough since Final exams are coming in a few days.
[Y/N] sighed in exhaustion. The five year old boy in her lap stirred in his sleep, wrapping his arms around her waist, sleeping peacefully. The girl smiled softly, laying her chin on his head while looking at the notes she took at class.
Even though she's tired, fed up, angry, sad, her siblings is enough to heal that. So, she'll work hard, for her siblings and for the people. "...what would I ever do without you..?" She whispered.
After finals, Toru had invited everyone to go shopping and hang out. "[Y/N], are you coming?" She asked as she tangles her hands with the girl. "Aw, I'm sorry Ru, I've got to look after my siblings. A mother's duty never ends." [Y/N] jokes and sheepishly rub her neck. The invisible girl whined and faked cried as a reaction.
-------
Todoroki was going to visit his mother today, but before that, he would buy flowers and gifts. But unfortunately, the flower shop he usually visits is closed so he had to walk to another shop which was pretty far.
While walking, he saw a little girl, sitting on the ground, hugging her knees. Todoroki approaches the girl and kneels. "Are you okay?" He asks his eyes softening.
The little girl looks up. "I-i lost my mommy... I let go of her hands because I saw a kitty...she- she told me if I ever get lost I should stay where I-i am and wait until she finds me, if she doesn't, I should approach the police station o-or go to a hero on patrol.." she said through her tears.
Todoroki sighs and sits down next to her. '..if I leave this girl alone here she might get harmed.' he thought. ".. I'll sit with you. What's your name?" "Mei! What about you Mr.?" ".. Todoroki. What does your mother look like?"
"She's very pretty! And really strong too! She has pretty --- colored hair and --- eyes! See, I have her eyes, mine is just darker!" The little girl rambled and opened her eyes wider with her fingers showing the boy her eyes.
A small smile formed on his face, and looked around the crowd if anyone looked around to see anyone similar looking to the description me have given him.
The description sounded familiar, like...what was her name?... Ah, [Y/N]. The friendly girl who greets him everyday with a smile, the girl who he would always see running on the street, always in a hurry. But, there's no way she has a child.
"MEI-MEI!!!!" A familiar voice yelled. Both heads turned to look at the voice. There she was, [Y/N], But instead with a smile on her face, it was tears. "Mommy!!" Mei, stood up quickly and ran towards the girl, hugging her leg.
"My love, I thought I lost you..!" [Y/N] knelt down and hugged the little girl tightly, trying to stop herself from sobbing. "You're such an idiot Mei! Mommy got all sad because of you!" Isamu said as he licked on his lollipop.
"I-im sorry Mommy!" ".. it's okay love, atleast I have you now.." "Mr. Todoroki sat beside me to keep me safe!" [Y/N] looked up to see the white and red haired boy, standing behind Mei.
"T-todoroki!" She stood up in recognition. The boy nodded back, replying to the girl. "T-thank you!" [Y/N] bowed and hugged him thankfully.
Todoroki was taken aback, only freezing. He looked down to the little girl who was smiling widely and giggling. "Are you our daddy now?" Isamu said with an eyebrow raised.
[Y/N] didn't hear that, thankfully. She was too busy thanking the boy over and over again. While, the boy, Todoroki looked away, a tiny blush forming on his cheeks.
"I don't want him as our Daddy." The little boy said. "Boo! I want too! He's very nice!" Mei agrued "No! He's not cool!" "Your not cool!!" The little girl pulled out her tongue as they both yelled at eachother.

yo
ayo i goooootta write i gootata write.
Its kinda embarrassing now idk what to say. so today when it was raining and i was walking in portello towards mensa with michele and we were both under the same umbrella guess whom i saw yes ofc the one i always see alone when im with michele: Giorgio. He always has this worried/upset look that I think stems from a lack of friends to hang out with on a saturday night. He seems quite harmless tho. anyway.
during lunch michele kept asking me about traditional ways of eating/dining in iran. he was like so do u guys have actual traditional meals i was like yea there are like stews with rice. he was like so is it just that? how about desserts? how about drinking coffee after/before meal? how about aperitivo before a meal? what are the products that we here in italy imported from "your country"? at some point he was like so yea this one time i was out i had this saffronish dessert with some marmelatta on top of it or he also said one time (or maybe some time when he goes out for eating) he might order some pasta and idk tbh? i lowkey felt like after the dessert thing he kinda expected me to be like so yea btw where was that one place to went to for the saffronish dessert? and he would like oh yea it was xxx i be like oh damn fr? he be like yea fr if u want we can go together once and and and andd....wow. people are actually patient with what they want? like are we sure that they exist? [yes. u just saw one today.] so like.....people don't just give u a poem they wrote for u 2 weeks ago on the first time of hanging out? like oh bro fr? deymn brother.
i miss you. ehem ehem.
anyway. i went to the lab afterwards. but no.
before that i went to math and it was a rainy day. at the entrance i saw soldier looking at his broken umbrella with so much confusion. swinging the bare empty handle in the air. all accompanied with so much confusion. the whole time i was looking at him i was about to throw up cuz he so damn adorable its unbelievable.
after that i went to lab and after making myself promise that when stefano was like yes for the meeting "absolutely" I'll be there today in the lab, it means that he would "absolutely" be there so imma wait until as late as it can get just to get answers. and i did and i was blessed with his emergence. he had his umbrella or hat or sth in his hand. he said "hiiii" with a really lovely tone tbfr and was like "i put this (pointed at this hat/umbrella) for a second then I'll come back" and he legit did come back in a second. he came and sat next to me and bro has zero notion of personal distance (which ehem ehem tbfr? kinda um? kinda um felt kinda um? NoIcEEEehemhehmhem?) anyway bro legit came sit like a hurricane and got too close his legs were touching mine and imagine me who's always overwhelmed over simple fucking existence of mere beings, was trying to run the fucking tiago shit. which i did in the end. tbr at first i tried to move away my legs away a bit because i was like maybe he did it cuz he dont have enough space left so i did it move my legs away but my BRO IT DID NOT WORK? so then i thought ok maybe if i continue doing it he be thinking this one lil weirdo is doing wtf? so i stopped and tried to focus on the tiago shit. i dont remember much more. he was like ok do this do that he gave me the big image of my thesis once more in detail and then said something like that what u achieved until now with moving the whole robot and shit is good and all dont panic and all u aint no behind my child. and was like the lil reports u send every now and then are good keep doing those they will come in hand when u wanna write the thesis itself. and bro. when we were talking while seated, i felt weird about his head. like his head and hands looked way bigger when up close. and also eyes ehem eheme ehemehere. i couldn't tell whether they green or brown or hazel.
yea that was it. lowkey intense. u can use that as the starting point for a future hentai plot.
also on the way out i almost bumped into daniel (fusaro). he said oh scusa...ciao!!! (cuz he saw me leaving) i said ciao but then i saw him bumping into the open window and dropping his notebook on the floor i turned back and was looking at him he said a posto i smiled he left. u know what i like? the fact that he felt the need to reassure me that it/he era a posto. man how much i liked that.
[update]: HELP. my virgin-ass has not been having it AT ALL OK? I can so NOT pretend like I did not get turned on. ok? I've legit had 4 0rga3mz in the last 36 hours and I'm just...helpless. I was trying my best not to google you. AND not to daydream which i successfully FAILED at both. so apparently u were doing your [continuous?] master's at Polimi from 2011 until 2017 so that makes you 31/2ish? you went to EPFL and ETH Zurich ... oh fuck it. i just learned on my intensive Facebook cyberstalking journey that you are in a relationship (and seem to have been since around 2011ish?) and tomorrow when i regain my emotional strength I'll get back here (i go die slowly, thinking of how you were playing table tennis naked).
anyway. what i mainly wanted to say is that the fact that you were so comfortable being physically close to me stems from (as a result of at least 48 hours of intensive deep analytical-hierarchical reasoning) the fact that you are so highly sure of YOURSELF that it can not possibly even BEGIN TO MEAN anything to you. While me, on the other hand, was so acutely unsure of myself that i kept keeping my distance. but hey, it could be worse. I will still have (hopefully) such small physical interactions that well, as we all know by now, can not mean shit to you and to me, they have the full potential to brighten up even just a bit, this current doom and gloom era of my life. I think I do feel privileged to entitle myself to seek (not desperately) this occasional pleasure. To not essentially feel the closeness, but to notice myself enjoying the satisfaction of adoring you under the hood. [update]: I was so sad a while back i wanted to be shredded to pieces and vanish into thin air. I wanna let go of fear so bad but the more you try to run away from it the more it catches you instead. Ethical or fucking not, we are declared fully free to think whatever thought we want right? This weekend I felt loved and thrilled to the core. I felt loved because I felt like I could simulate what it could be like to receive it from you. I kept tweaking the parameters in my head to align my imagination with the "most probable" scenario. It was an oscillatory stochastic process but it was worth it, i enjoyed the short ride, with "you". The memories of the brief frenzy still smoothens my ever-shaky soul, puts it at ease. oh man. how many times did i imagine kissing you or nervously running my fingers on your neck grabbing your waste and feeling my legs between yours but above all, how many times did I try to make myself feel "accepted" by you? enough times i bet. no matter how free we appear to be in our own "mind castles", I was still way too unsure to give in to my vulnerabilities with you. Although I did not deprive myself from feeling like I'm a kite being flown by you. Keep flying me don't let go of the leash can't get enough of the height or the wind or the view oh the view for sure most of all . .
... scusa ma ho troppo sonno ok

17.
How are you doing today?
Not bad. I always feel a little meh in the morning, but today hasn't been so bad.
What is the last song you listened to in a car?
Oh I have no clue, must have been something on the radio.
Do you like prefer apple cider warm or cold?
Warm.
When did you last feel misunderstood?
I feel like that once in a while. It's no one's fault, really, it's just my brain.
Have you ever visited The Louvre or would you like to?
I have when I was 16, on this student exchange thingy. It was cool, but I'd probably appreciate it more now. Or if we hadn't literally zoomed through it at the speed of light.
Have you ever accidentally locked yourself out of your place of residence?
Hmm, I don't think so.
Do you remember your favorite songs as a kid?
I feel like I didn't have a really favourite song then. I had songs I liked, but I started really appreciating music as a preteen/teen.
Do you currently feel calm?
More or less.
When did you last lace up a pair of shoes?
Yesterday.
What's your go to comfort meal?
Chocolate isn't quite a meal, but that's my comfort.
Do you enjoy cloud watching?
Yup, when I'm in the bus and listening to music, it can be really relaxing.
Do you currently have any candles lit?
Nope.
If applicable, what's your favorite sports team?
Don't care about sports very much.
How many cardigans do you own?
I used to have a few, but now I don't think I do. Maybe only one or two are left from that time.
How much is too much for clothes?
Depends on the clothing item and the income. For me personally, I'm not gonna pay over $70-80, and even that's a stretch.
How soon do you normally decorate for holidays?
I don't exactly, but my mum starts around mid-December.
Are there any important things happening this week?
Only meeting with friends on Sunday.
Do you know anyone who is terrified of dogs?
I think so.
What scent was the last soap you used?
Idk, didn't check the scent.
How old were you when you made your first big purchase?
I think I was 25. Got a new laptop with my own money.
What last made you angry?
I don't remember.
What's a color you think is underrated?
Lol I'm not sure, I'm generally a fan of the colours everyone likes.
What are you usually doing when midnight comes around and you can't sleep?
Well, I never sleep around midnight. That's usually when I'm in the middle of my work.
What is your favorite way to eat rice? (white, steamed, fried, brown, sweetened...)
Fried?
What color is the top you're wearing?
White.
When did you last laugh so hard you cried?
I don't exactly remember.
What's your favorite horror movie?
Get Out, probably. It's horror, but it's super fun at the same time. Also, I recently watched Hereditary for the first time and I have to watch it again.
What's your favorite and least favorite fast food restaurant?
I'm not a big fan of KFC here, and as for favourite, idk. McDonalds? But I don't really eat there either.
How many pictures can you see in the room you're in?
Ten of me and my sister (it's like a collage) and some random decorative ones.
When did you last sign your signature?
Probably when I was renewing my driver's license.
What cover do you think is better than the original song?
Hmmmm, well Johnny Cash's Hurt is absolutely brilliant. Now, hard to say if it's better than NIN's since the vibe is so different, but I'll go with that.
Are you currently listening to music?
Not right now.
What do your favorite pair of pajamas look like?
I like the Christmas-themed ones I have lol
What is something you've been working on?
Book translations.
What's something that excites you about the future?
Tbh, nothing in particular. I guess I'm looking forward to potentially going to a BTS concert once they do a European tour, but other than that, there's not all that much that I'm excited about right now.
How often do you drink smoothies?
Extremely rarely. My sister got a smoothie maker and we used it exactly once.
What's a TV show you have gotten into recently?
All of Us Are Dead was actually really good. I'm not super into zombie shows, so I didn't watch it when it first came out. But now my sister was watching, so I tagged along, and yeah, I was totally sucked in.
Have you ever had to have a tooth cut out?
Kinda, my wisdom tooth.
When did you last rush for something?
I don't remember, my week was so chaotic that I feel like I was rushing the whole time, but I can't think of anything specific.
How many blankets do you own?
Like two or so.
Have you drank enough water today?
I just woke up and haven't left my room yet, so not even a single sip lol
Do you prefer apple pie or pecan pie?
Apple pie.
What color takes up most of your wardrobe?
Black.
What makes you feel alive?
Concerts, late night walks, driving
Who is your last missed call from?
I don't know, I don't have the number in my contacts.
Do you have any unusual pet peeves?
People who want to call me on the phone. << lol same, I despise phone calls.
What is a food you think is nasty that most people enjoy?
Tomatoes.
Would you rather never be sick again or be rich?
Probably never be sick again, although I feel like being rich is a bit more tempting right now. I'm generally rarely sick, but the money could be cool for travelling the world.

"Is that so," Shinobu murmured. That Sonia had somehow once been their friend, but not close with other members of their class was a bit surprising. Surely, aside from perhaps Matsuda, Shinobu was the most difficult of them to get along with - or had been, at least. And yet, Ayaka had taken a request to make her a special dessert. "I suppose there's not much sense thinking about it now, but Ayaka typically only made those sorts of custom orders for classmates." Maybe it had been someone from Sonia's own class. Though, as she'd said, there was no reason to think about it. That was a lifetime ago, surrounded by so many lives that had been cut short.
Shinobu wasn't sure if she'd detected some small shift in Sonia's expression, or whether she was merely seeing things. What the reasoning could be, she didn't know, so perhaps she was reading too much into it. Her hand found her plate, forcing herself to choke down a few more peanuts and rice crackers. Both Ayaka and Sonia had impressed upon her the importance of eating, and to let them both down at the same time was rather unbecoming of her. Besides, if she was to continue doing what she could, whether that was fishing or other physical tasks, she couldn't afford to lose her strength.
As a show of appreciation, she even took the jam once Sonia was finished, spreading a small amount on her scone, and holding onto the knife perhaps a moment longer than necessary - something that would give the Future Foundation agents hovering just out of earshot some pause, she was sure. It was justified enough, given that her first, quickly discarded thought was attempting to push the dull knife through one of her eyes. No, that would only cause trouble for Sonia, and she'd already made something resembling a promise to her.
It seemed to her that Sonia hadn't quite picked up on Ayaka's obtuse explanation - understandable, if they hadn't ever been close - and she watched as Ayaka gave a small, huffy sigh. "I don't know what you have, so I can't make any real recommendations," she mumbled, as if it was an annoying question to have to answer. "If you have fresh fruit or vegetables we don't have here, that's a start, and so is anything that's processed beyond what we can easily make here." Shinobu thought she might leave it there, but Ayaka decided to explain herself further. Perhaps, Shinobu thought, she didn't trust Sonia's kitchen knowledge.
"Gelatin and corn starch to thicken things, baking powder, seasonings, preservatives so we can save things rather than throw them out." She gave a small shrug, as though it were obvious. "I guess I can make a list when I have some free time." There was a tone to her voice that suggested, to Shinobu, that that might not be for a while. She was rather busy, after all. Still, for as busy as Ayaka was, Shinobu was sure she'd find the time to make that list, and have it delivered, for the betterment of everyone else. She simply was that sort of person, deep down - someone who kicked up a fuss, but always sacrificed herself for others.
It was only something to be thought about for a moment, as when Sonia mentioned their classmates waking up, both Shinobu and Ayaka went cold. After silence hung unpleasant in the air, Ayaka cleared her throat. "Matsuda's an ass," she mumbled bluntly. "If you want to talk about that kind of thing, you should talk to Murasame-san instead." Shinobu nodded in agreement. Murasame was more even-tempered and thoughtful, and he'd appreciate better any help Sonia could provide. "Anyway," Ayaka started, "I need to get back to preparing dinner." Her hand rubbed at the inside of her arm. "I'll get that list to you when I can, Nevermind-san. Thanks for-" Ayaka's eyes flicked to Shinobu, and Shinobu was sure she was thinking something along the lines of 'for taking care of Shinobu,' even if what she said was only, "stopping by."
"You probably think it's strange, don't you, Nevermind-san," Shinobu mumbled as she nibbled on another cracker. "We went through so much together, such that it's impossible for anyone else to really understand our experiences, and yet..." With someone like Ayaka, or even Murasame, they'd become closer than expected due to the simulation, but perhaps that came at the cost of intimacy with others for what had occurred outside it. Miss Aoyama would have every reason to hate her, when she awoke, and Anzu... And Anzu...
No longer hungry, Shinobu weakly pushed forward her plate, as if needing to get it out of her immediate reach. "I imagine most people who have lost those closest to them would do anything to be with them again, even for the briefest moment. In my case, though, the best friend I've ever had is waking up soon enough, but I feel so ill at the thought of seeing her." If Sonia knew them, then she likely knew Anzu. That much stood to reason. "It's strange, isn't it? Strange and awful of me, perhaps." In her seat, Shinobu shifted slightly, as though the discomfort could be removed with only a light lean or a shake. "I've not been keeping up much with Matsuda's progress because of it. Truthfully, when it comes to most of my classmates, I dread seeing them again."
Sonia smiled gently as she hesitated over picking from the spread of snacks. Shinobu's dietary needs came first, especially in the Hotel Mirai: she had a ship to return to, and eventually a country to return to, where a whole staff of people's entire career entailed looking after her every need. Shinobu, like the rest of the Remnants, only had each other to care for them. She wouldn't complicate that for them. "Sometimes the work that appears to be unnecessary and complicated is the most meaningful. You might just not realize at the time," Sonia replied, thinking back to how much her class had struggled initially to simply throw a class party, or come together as a team for sports day. Now, those memories meant more to her than all of the precious stones in the Novoselic Crown Jewels. More precious, more priceless.
Maybe Shinobu had a similar memory about the hoshigaki, perhaps with Anzu. Though in Sonia's imagination, Anzu was too busy on her phone, scrolling social media and texting her favorite 'hotsexy people,' to be of much help. She chuckled at the thought: only something that could have happened before everything. Maybe when they were all still friends.
Well, that was a lifetime ago. All Sonia could do now was concentrate on the situation at hand, and Ayaka's curt words. "Wait, that is not what I meant!" Sonia protested, her gaze darting to her scone and then the woman's retreating back. "Oh no, I think I just eat scones like this as a habit, especially at home. I did not want to create more work for her!"
Sonia sighed, disappointed at herself, as Shinobu smiled. Maybe it was worth it then, her blunder: if it amused Shinobu at least. It seemed nowadays like nothing did: then again, she doubted Shinobu was going on an array of dates and watching Godzilla movies in her free time. Reading, however...that was likely possible, though Sonia had a hunch it wasn't the same books they'd placed into her hands the afternoon Sonia had unknowingly interrupted their movie date with another girl.
"Truthfully, I did not know her well so I cannot say," Sonia admitted quietly. She didn't want Ayaka to overhear: it wasn't fair to any of them that Sonia had been friends with some of Class 77-B and barely knew the others. "I spoke to her once or twice. She made me a cake once, for White Day: not from her but someone commissioned her to make something for me. I never found out who it was, in the end: though a boy did try to take credit for it."
Still, she smiled when Ayaka returned. It was nothing she'd done wrong, and Sonia didn't want her to worry. "Thank you, Sato-san. It looks delicious, and I appreciate your efforts!" Maybe she needed a more comforting environment, or praise, to be open with what she wanted and needed. And nevertheless, the scone and jam did look good. She took some of the mango jam from the plastic knife and spread it on both halves of her scone before taking one in her hand, bringing it to her mouth for a bite.
"Looks, and tastes!" She decided after chewing, not hesitating to take a second bite after the first. She wasn't sure what pectin was, but if was something Ayaka would like, Sonia felt certain she could obtain it. Ayaka-
Sonia paused, mid-chew. That was what Shinobu had called her, hadn't she? Something that had once only been reserved for Anzu: addresses on a first-name basis. Sonia swallowed her bite: the scone and jam tasted a little less sweet on her tongue as she tried not to look at both of the other women in the room with suspicion. Ayaka had been through hell, Sonia couldn't be envious of her. It wasn't right: she'd spent the last few years helping the war effort in a mostly preserved and polite environment, she had no business exhibiting envy towards anyone.
She reached for her bottle of soda: the second half of her scone could wait, for a time she wasn't mulling on just how intimately they were acquainted. "Well, um," She began, letting the soda wash some of the bitterness away. "Would there be ingredients that might be more appealing to you both, or the rest of the newly awakened? Something I might be able to assist with? I tried asking Matsuda-san about the progress on that yesterday. He...did not exactly give me an answer: he preferred to disparage me over my former talent and my gender before ordering me out of the lab. I do not think he likes women at all."

Infatuation
Summary: Yi-jin has no sense of personal space.
Author's note: So many cute moments today and I couldn't resist writing this fluffy sickening fic. I'm gonna enjoy the bliss they're in and ignore all the warning bells in my mind. Enjoy!
The worst part about having feelings is the constant awareness that comes with your realization of your feelings. Her mouth instinctively chews the warm tteokbokki but her sense of taste is overwhelmed by her sense of touch.
Somehow they'd all ended up in Yu-rim's family restaurant again, starving after another long day of school. She'd spent the majority of it sleeping on her desk and training with the other fencers. Ji-woong had been the one to mention getting food and almost simultaneously they all started naming what they wanted to eat.
Rice cake!
Noodles!
Steak!
Everyone had looked at her like she was insane. Whatever steak was delicious.
Ji-woong's eyes sparkled lovingly as he asked his girlfriend if should eat at her restaurant.
"Is it too soon to introduce myself as her future son-in law?"
Yu-rim had turned nearly purple at the teasing remark slapping him wildly as he chuckled and tried to hug her to stop the onslaught. They were disgustingly cute now, always looking starry eyed at each other and giggling at jokes that no one else understood.
Seung-wan had walked away ignoring their loving display, her nose in a book and her brows furrowed. Something about the history of corporal punishment in school. It looked difficult and her brain hurt just imagining reading something like that.
She'd tugged out her phone pushing in numbers that she knew by heart now. The call connected after two rings and she said, "We're getting good at Yu-rim's restaurant. Come with us."
"You know I'm not some kid who has free time to do as I please right?"
She rolled her eyes.
"You think I have a lot of free time? I'm an Olympic medalist you know."
He chuckled on the other end, deep voice somehow deeper through the phone. Calling him was always a risk.
"Getting cocky now? I should be honored that someone so important wants to see me. I'll come right over my Olympic gold medalist Na Hee-do."
Her heart skips a beats at the warmth and pride in his voice.
My Olympic gold medalist.
She's too flustered to respond but thankfully the group realizes who she's talking to and they all begin to shout messages into her phone.
"Sunbae please join us for a meal!"
"Hyung, you'll play right? We're just broke high schoolers!"
"Yi-jin oppa, mom says you haven't visited in a while!"
He doesn't put up a fight and she could barely contain her glee as he walked around the corner, messenger bag still slung across his wide shoulders.
He waved at them and she waved back, eyes locked on each other.
Yu-rim's mom was overjoyed to see them all, smiles and hugs thrown their way. It must have been nice to have a mom who was so expressive and free with her affections.
"Sit, sit." The older woman motioned at a table, already turning to go to the kitchen and get their food ready.
The table had six chairs and Yu-rim and Ji-woong immediately sat next to each other. Surprising to no one at all, shyly looking at each other as they tried not to sit too close. Leaving an empty seat next to Seung-wan and Yi-jin. It wasn't a hard decision but she questioned herself. Second guessing if it would send the wrong message.
I shouldn't sit next to him. We're not a couple like them, there's no reason to sit together. People might get the wrong idea too. Okay it's settled I'll sit next to Seung-wan.
Taking a deep breath in she moved to grab the seat, pulling it out. But almost immediately Yi-jin placed his bag on it, she looked down at him in surprise blinded by the huge smile on his face.
"I haven't seen you all day. Sit beside me."
Her mouth fell open in shock as he took her hand and guided her into the seat next to him, pulling the chair out for her then unfolding a napkin to place on her lap knowing how messily she ate.
She barely jumped as he slide an arm across the top of her chair. Easily invading her personal space and she felt her throat dry up as nerves swam through her veins.
"How was your day?"
She'd mumbled out something about doing nothing and training speaking barely above a whisper and then watched in fear as he leaned closer.
It was Yu-rim's mom bringing out the food that saved her from this seemingly innocuous moment that was causing her heart to pound and her cheeks to redden.
She'd looked up expecting everyone's gaze on them. Surely they would all think they were being too comfortable and ask them why they were sitting so close to each other.
But Seung-wan was eating with one hand and holding her book with the other. So she switched her gaze to the happy couple but they were firmly lost in each other's eyes. Ji-woong attempting to feed an embarrassed Yu-rim who kept sneaking glances at her mom obviously terrified that she would see and know that her daughter was dating.
Nobody seemed to care that Yi-jin was sitting so close to her that she could feel his skin against hers every time he leaned forward to eat.
She jolts at the feel of something against her face, turning to the man next to her in confusion.
"You eat like a little kid I swear. Look at me."
He takes her face in his large hand, cupping her cheek and guiding her to look at him before wiping at the side of her mouth. He's staring intently at her face as he cleans her and she feels like she's going to faint from the casual touch.
"There all done."
Then easy as day he goes back to eating, like he didn't just tilt her world off its axis.
She has no choice but to continue eating as well.
Nobody seems shocked when they're all saying good bye he tells her that he's walking her home and he throws an arm over her shoulder, telling her about his day and the trials and tribulations of a sports reporter.
She listens carefully hands itching to wrap around his waist but instead she glues them to her sides.
The next time she sees him, it's at the comic book store.
A new volume of Full House is out and she decides to read it right there on the floor legs criss crossed just like when she was younger. She's completely lost in the book- if only they could add this to the school curriculum she would be the top student easily- when a shadow hovers over her blocking out the bright sunlight streaming in from the window.
"What's that?" She speaks to herself, dog earring the book to look up and instant smile forming at the familiar face.
"A student should be studying on the weekend. What are you doing here?" He tuts at her, folding those impossibly long legs to sit beside her. He's not in a suit today, jeans and a white tee adorning his body instead.
He looks good. Comfortable and...more attainable.
His suits always make him look out of her grasp.
"I like you better this way. Without a suit." She says without thinking, he looks back confused at the sudden comment before grinning and looking down at himself.
"I think I look pretty handsome in a suit though."
"I didn't say you didn't. I just like this....better."
He hums beside her and she avoids looking at him, scared at what expression she'll find to her honest statement.
"Another volume came out?" He leans closer, encroaching on her space again and she thrusts the book of further to stop him from coming any closer. Her sanity can only take so much.
"Hmmm you enjoy it." He says easily pushing it back at her, before leaning back against the bookcase and letting out a sigh.
"You don't have work today? Or any plans." She questions, she's been thinking a lot about the women at his job and whether he sees anyone outside. Is he going on dates? Is he interested in anyone?
Having a crush is such hard work.
"No. I was walking aimlessly when I saw you through the window. It must be my lucky day to run into you on my day off."
"Are you happy to see me?"
"Of course. You're always entertaining. I was watching you outside and the range of expressions you showed on your face made me laugh so hard. You would be awful at poker Hee-do."
Always teasing her. It's basically his specialty. But she's happy to see him too, they haven't been able to meet since the time they all ate together. He's so busy now as a full fledged reporter and she's undeniably happy for him but there's a part of her that misses him having time to just hang out with her.
This must be what growing up is like.
She hates it.
With a sigh she tilts her head until it's resting on his arm. He stills beside her before his muscles relax and he snuggles closer, letting her rest easier against him.
"Are you okay Hee-do? Did something happen?" She knows that voice, it's the same one that he used when she got hurt recording the simultaneous touch and when he found her crying outside over chairs. That's his I'll fix everything, just tell me what's wrong voice.
But he can't fix this.
"Nothing happened. I just missed you this week, my days aren't as bright when I don't see you."
Ever since his confession on the bridge, they've both been speaking freely and saying what's on their minds. It's terrifying. Knowing that her feelings are returned.
"Well I'm here now. Smile for me?"
He puts two fingers in the edge of her lips and physically turns her frown upside down. She stares at him blankly before giggling at the absurdity and smacking his hands away.
"You can't just force me to smile like some doll!"
She shoves his hard and he falls over laughing loudly with her and in the end, they get kicked out of the store for being too loud and disturbing other patrons. That only makes them laugh harder. Laughter echoing down the street.
She's wearing a dress.
She hadn't planned on going to the dance at school but Yu-rim begged and pleaded and promised that she wouldn't be a third wheel all while Ji-woong hung off her and asked if they should wear matching outfits. She shook her head no in decline but the other fencer wouldn't take no for an answer.
"Please. I've never gone to a dance with a friend. I don't want everyone staring at me and Ji-woong all night."
And because she couldn't say no to her online best friend, she finally agreed. Already knowing she would regret it.
Her mom had suddenly thrust a bag into her hand a few days later and she wondered if her mother had listened to her conversation with Yu-rim on the phone.
"I don't even own a nice dress."
Without a word her mother had walked away and she went into her room to open the bag. She gasped at what she founded inside.
Could she really wear something pretty and feminine like this? She was the furthest thing from feminine and she wondered if she would look stupid in the dress, like a kid playing dress up.
But surely she could try it on. There was no harm in that. So standing to lock her door she strips off her uniform and pulls the dress on over her head, there's no mirror in her room so she can't see herself but as she looks down at herself she can't control her smile. Maybe she looked pretty. Maybe someone else would think she looked pretty too.
"Maybe I should wear a shirt underneath it."
A white shirt and white tennis shoes completed her outfit.
"Here use this bag. The dress suits you, you look like a young lady for once."
Ignoring the dig for her mother, she takes the pale blue shoulder bag she hands her. It matches her dress almost perfectly like it was meant to go together.
"Don't stay out too late. And if anyone tries anything you don't want kick them right in their-"
"Mom!" She screams embarrassed and shocked. Her mother has never given her a speech like this before. She won't admit it out loud but.... it's nice. Almost like her mother actually cares about her.
"I was only going to say penis. What's the big deal? You're almost 19. You know about genitalia."
She groans loudly, racing down the stairs to stuff her feet into her new shoes.
"Don't wait up for me. I won't be out late."
There's no response and she slams the door shut behind her. The warm summer air hits her and a gust of wind rustles the bottom of her dress, it's weird to feel wind on her legs they're so seldom exposed.
Checking that she has her keys she walks down the stairs with her head in her borrowed bag.
It's that distraction that causes her walk into a warm wall.
Jumping back she goes to apologize to whoever she just absently walked into.
"Baek Yi-jin? What are you doing here?"
He doesn't answer, looking at her slowly up and down. A smile spreading across his face before he looks back at her face.
"You look pretty."
Her heart jumps. She almost grabs it to calm it down.
"Thank you." She replies, bashfully looking at the ground.
"Yu-rim mentioned it to me. She told me that you all were going to the dance. I wanted to see you before you left, I've never seen you in a dress before."
She feels vulnerable, she hasn't worn a dress in a long time not since her father passed away.
The last time she wore a dress she was experiencing the worst heartbreak of her life.
"Do I look stupid? Does it look bad?" She shrinks in on herself, feeling self conscious and small.
His hand is large and warm on her jaw and he forces her to look up.
She stares back completely captivated as he shakes his head, "I already told you that you look beautiful. Don't worry about anyone else."
She wasn't. His opinion was the only one that mattered to her.
She smiles at him, feeling more confident in her skin. Maybe she didn't look half bad.
"Come on I'll walk you there."
And they walk in comfortable silence. Fingers grazing every few steps but neither brave enough to cross that line quite yet.
She almost pouts in disappointment when they finally reach the school, she wanted to spend more time with him.
"Well thank you for walking m-"
"Dance with me."
They talk at the same time and when she processes what he said she's still too confused to do anything but stare stupidly with her mouth open.
Then he's putting his hand out and smiling charmingly at her and almost like she's lost in a fog, she reaches out to place her hand in his. Perfect fit.
They stay like that for a moment, then he tugs her closer wrapping his hands loosely around her waist before starting to sway and she follows his movement allowing him to lead her. Faintly she can hear the music in the distance but he's moving them to his own pace, slowly spinning them around and around.
"I wanted to be your first dance tonight."
She tries not to think about why that was so important to him. What any of this means. Why he wants to be her first and why he's always touching her like she's his?
Wrapping her dangling arms around his waist she nods into his chest, body buzzing from their closeness.
"You'll probably be my only dance tonight."
"That's not true. I was a teenager once."
She nods even though she has no idea what that means. The other boys don't even see her as a girl, nobody will be asking to dance with her.
"Focus on your friends. Just dance with them instead."
She almost agrees before a thought pops in her mind, it's so ridiculous that she nearly brushes it away but the way he's behaving is..... strange.
So she decides to rest her theory.
"Okay I will. Ji-woong is a good dancer so I'll definitely dance with him."
His hand tightens on her waist. She almost jumps for joy.
"He's with Yu-rim. Don't get between them. Just dance with someone else."
"Then does that mean I shouldn't dance with Yu-rim? It's our first dance."
"No she's fine. You can dance with her."
Pushing him away she looks up giant knowing smile on her face, "Am I only allowed to dance with girls? Are you forbidding me from dancing with boys?"
She expects him to deny her claims or at least look away but he continues to stare at her, steadfast and unashamed.
"Are there any boys you want to dance with?" He searches her eyes and she looks away first because they both know the answer.
"Fine. You're right. For some reason I get possessive about you."
It's unbelievable but everything that she feels towards him, he feels it in return for her. She keeps forgetting that.
"Sometimes I feel the same way. There must be plenty of pretty women at your job."
"Are you admitting that you get jealous because of me Hee-doo?" He teases her and she doesn't back down stepping further into his space for once, "Am I the only one? What are you doing right now?"
He looks back at her in surprise before shaking his head.
She's won this round.
"It's because you make me crazy. Go inside and have fun."
They have been standing outside for a long time, other students walking around them and wondering who's the tall handsome guy with "who is that? Is that Na Hee-do in a dress?"
"Okay. Thank you for walking me and for being my first dance. Bye!"
She begrudgingly steps out of his hold already missing the warmth of his arms.
With a light wave, she turns to walk inside the school. Wanting nothing more than to run back into his arms.
"Na Hee-doo!"
She spins around at his shout, looking at him in question clutching her bag to stop herself from going to him.
Why is this so hard?
"You're gonna be the most beautiful girl in there."
"Even more than Yu-rim?"
A sense of deja vu washes over her.
Will he be able to choose between them this time? Will he say the words she wants to hear?
Yu-rim exudes feminity and grace, everything that she is severely lacking. It's childish of her to ask this she knows that.
But still.... She wants to know. Who is prettier in his eyes?
"Yes. Even more than her, Ji-woong can worry about her. I'll worry about you."
It sounds like another confession. And he's comparing them to a known couple. Which means that everything he's been doing was intentional and it wasn't all in her head.
Throwing caution to the wind, she finally listens to her heart and feels the wind through her hair as she runs towards him hugging him as soon as she reaches him. He immediately hugs her back and she giggles loudly as he lifts her off her feet.
It's ironic that while she's falling for him, he's always picking her up.
They hug each other for a long second, clinging to each other tightly. His scent washing over her.
The rest of the dance is fun. People she's never spoken to tell her how good she looks and Yu-rim starts screaming when she sees her, forcing her to spin around to show off her outfit. Ji-woong gives her a huge thumbs up and Seung-wan smiles brightly at her.
She declines every boy who asks her to dance, dancing with Seung-wan and Yu-rim when she can pry her away from her clingy boyfriend.
Then they all dance together, jumping up and down with their arms in the air.
She laughs freely and throws her body around, only one person on her mind.

Break My Back, Not My Heart(Pt1)
Loki x Reader
Warnings: Daddy Kink, Nicknames(pet, good girl, etc.), Smut, angst, choking kink, Lies (From the God of Lies himself) and a slight Cliffhanger.
A/n: Okay in case you don't know Sigyn is Loki's wife in Norse Mythology. I may follow this up with a part two later on. Once again I apologize for this.
Summary: You and Loki are engaged, your alone for a night in the Tower together, what was meant to be a sweaty, romantic night, takes a sharp turn in the wring Direction.
Word Count: 1.3k
(I love his face!!!!)
"And I care why? No. I said have it done."
"I don't care. I hired you for this reason."
"I am two weeks away from my wedding. You had the list of things to do. As my official planner you should get it done and if not. No pay."
"Alright, thank you so much Adrienne!"
"Alright m'bye"
You sit at your work desk typing a frenzy when you feel the cold stare of someone from the doorway.
"I don't have muck time Loke if your coming to say hi might wanna hurry up."
"Excuse me Miss but where is this attitude coming from. I don't like it." Loki stalks to you pressing his large hands onto your shoulders starting to work out the tension.
"Well I am sorry Your highness, I have a wedding to pull off. OUR wedding. So I'm a little stressed okay?"
" I just came to tell you I'm cooking tonight. So we aren't going out. We also have the tower to ourself so, nobody is here to bother us." He added obviously flirting but you were too caught up in choosing wither Pansys or Petunias would be a better choice you didn't even retain what he was saying.
"Y/n L/n, are you even listening to me."
"Oh course dear, sounds good" you reply mechanically.
Loki swivels your chair and grips your throat not too tight but enough to catch your attention.
"I guess I'll just have to fuck the attitude out of you then. See how much of a brat you are after I make you my little cum slut." He growls into your ear.
"Loki, baby. I'm sorry" you weren't scared but you also wanted to walk in the morning.
" Can I please just finish up. We can finish this" you run your hand down his fit, black button up covered, torso. "After dinner"
He sighed and muttered somethings out you trying to take charge. And he's in control, but you control him.
You love being his pet. Live for him to take care of you, fuck you senseless, but you also are your own person, your independent, it's what he first found so appealing about you. He always respects your boundaries.
An hour passes and your phone buzzes on the table beside your laptop
You lift it to ready the text
*Future Husband*- Dinner is finished. Hope your hungry....;)
You smirk at the cheeky message and shut your laptop, you finally made the last of the pre wedding day arrangements, time to spoil, more like get spoiled, by your man. Your God.
You step into the dining room, no Loki or food. You go into the kitchen and you spot the food, but you also spot Loki, stark naked, pouring wine.
"Hey my Queen, I made your favorite, Tika Masala and rice. And I brought dessert." He winked. Your face flushes and quickly you feel less hungry for dinner and more so for dessert.
"Lo-" he cuts you off.
"Sit. Now. Eat, and drink your whole cup of water. Or you may just have to sleep without dessert, understood pet?"
"Yes sir" you shake your head.
He brings your your plate and you go to sit at the table, before you do, you feel a tingle sensation around you and look down to find Loki has dissipated your clothing. So your both in the kitchen, at Stark tower, naked.
You whine a little to complain, but are met with reprimanding tsks.
"You should watch it and be My good girl."
"Yes Daddy."
Then you sit down and eat. Rather quickly.
"Y/n drink your water." Loki states.
"But I'm full and I can't." You whine.
"If your full then You don't need me to fill you up. So I guess we can go to bed after this and just sleep."
You whine as he smirks at you. You down the rest of the water.
"Daddy can You carry me to our room. I want you there tonight. Please" as much as it thrills you to have Sex on every surface in the tower, you just want the intimacy of your shared bed.
"Yes my love, if that will make you more comfortable."
You stand and walk to him he stands and lifts you effortlessly.
When you make it to your room it's like both of you just become primal. Your instincts and urges to be one take over.
Loki kisses you rough and deep hiking you together souls intertwining he moves his mouth down to your breasts being careful and deliberate. He then moves his long fingers down your body, he loved every inch of you, every roll, scar, stretch mark, every freckle, and everything you once saw as a flaw, he just sees you.
One night he spent 3 hours kissing you and telling you how beautiful you are to him. It took years for him to let his walls down for you, but every hour you spent crying or screaming because he wasn't open with you, was worth only a few moments of his tender love, his soft side, your Loki, the man, the God you were going to spend the rest of your life with.
But gentle was the last thing on either of your mins when he ran his hard cock through your wet folds before thrusting into you bottoming out. You scream out in pleasure, the feeling of his vainy girth moving in and out of you was too much to bear.
When you arch your back, he slams his hand down on your hip holding you down into the bed.
suddenly with no warning he lifted both your legs over your shoulder reaching not just your g spot, but every possible sensitive place.
"Oh Gods, Loki, so good." You yell out.
"Thats right baby, only for you, all for you." He grunts
Your both inching closer to your climax, you feel that coil tighten in your belly, right as you feel yourself clenching around his Godly cock, Loki yells out too.
"Sigyn, yes come for me." You stop moving. All arousal vanishes.
"What?!" you yell trying to push the man off you
"Who the FUCK is Sigyn?!" "Who is she Loki."
"What are you talking about, fuck, whats your problem?"
"You yelled another womans name Loki." You try not to, but tears start falling from your eyes.
"Pull out of me please, I cant. Just please."
"Darling, Sigyn is not a person, It is an Asgardian term, meaning Victorious partner. It is a complement, please calm down."
"Oh" You breathe out. "Im sorry, Im just so stressed I-" You dont finish your sentence because he cuts you off.
"Its okay. I understand.Do you wish to finish or do you want to rest?" he asked still in you, stroking your hair.
"Lets rest." You say still shaken up from the thought of him with someone else.
"Okay" He says pulling out and wrapping your body in his own.
You don't sleep much that night. And when you research "sigyn" the next day, you don't sleep for months.

a return to roots | 5
pairing: kita shinsuke x f!reader
summary: y/n is a rising star in the music industry, having almost everything you could have ever hoped for as a small-town country girl. now after releasing two triple platinum albums in consecutive years, you face the dreaded artist’s burnout… in order to recover, your manager suggests, you should return to your hometown in hyōgo for a long-deserved break.
genre: socmed/smau, slice of life
warnings/tags: timeskip!, mutual pining, slow burn? more like rekindling, slight canon divergence
masterpost
Ichiro arrived right on time at 5:45 in the morning, buzzing your door just as you had gotten dressed after a quick shower. Steam wafted out of the bathroom as you rushed to the door to greet him and show him where the luggage was. Without anything to say, he promptly picked up one of the large hard case suitcases and you followed suit, going after him into the elevator. When your bodyguard loaded both of your cases into the trunk of his car and then opened the door for you to get into the car, you quickly said, "I need to double check everything in there is fine. I'll be back in a minute."
After reassuring Ichiro that you would be ok by yourself, you dashed back inside to survey your apartment, checking each room to make sure you hadn't left anything important behind. The kitchen and living room were clean, check. When you got to your bedroom, you paused, seeing one of your acoustic guitars sitting in the corner. Should you bring it? Were you actually going to write music? When you had announced your hiatus officially, you had stated that it was to gain inspiration for new music... but then that wouldn't really be a break, would it? You gnawed on your lip, remembering what Kuroo had asked of you the night before: "Take care of yourself in Hyōgo, alright? You're there for a reason; to take a break."
You scowled, cursing Kuroo and his knowledge of your work habits. But, a voice inside you reasoned, it wouldn't be work if you were writing just for fun... You thought back to those moments in your childhood home, in your room, writing songs and uploading them to YouTube and SoundCloud without thinking that anything would come of it; back before you felt any pressure to perform. Back to when you wrote lyrics that weren’t very sophisticated, but earnest and heartfelt all the same… back to when you had your muse to sit beside you every step of the songwriting process.
Before you could convince yourself otherwise, you ran to the corner of your room and snatched the guitar, put it in its case, and then snapped it shut with finality.
If Ichiro was confused about you carrying down another piece of luggage, he said nothing, only staring ahead and driving when you were buckled. "Onigiri Miya," you reminded him, then settled into your seat. The ride there wasn't too far from your apartment; you had rented out the space because of its convenience, so anywhere you usually wanted to go to was within a reasonable distance. You watched the traffic with disinterest and spotted restaurants with dim lighting inside, most likely already prepping for the day ahead of them. The world kept moving on ahead, regardless of whether or not you liked it.
When you arrived at Onigiri Miya, Osamu was already out back in the van, probably waiting impatiently. You checked the clock in the car and clicked your tongue. You weren’t even late.
When you stepped out of the car, Osamu opened his door and got out too. You smiled widely. “Samu!” You rushed forward and gave him a strong hug, which he somewhat reciprocated. He wasn’t as big on physical touch as his brother.
Osamu only rolled his eyes though, patting your back as you told him he looked great. “You do, too. Want me to help with your bags?”
You led him to the trunk of your ride, where Ichiro was already opening it and carrying one of your suitcases. Osamu hefted the other one up, and you trailed behind with the guitar case. After securing everything in the back of the van, you turned to your bodyguard.
You smiled, a genuine smile, and then repeated what you’d already told him over text. “Well, Ichiro-san, I don’t know the next time I’ll see you. I’ll make sure to text you in advance if I plan on going to more public areas.” He said nothing, so you continued. “Thank you very much for all you’ve done for me, and I look forward to seeing you again in the future!” You gave him a bow, which he reciprocated stiffly before quickly getting back into his own car and driving off.
You sighed, then looked to Osamu. He quirked an eyebrow. “Ready?” You nodded determinedly, getting into the passenger seat of the van and buckling, him doing the same.
“Alrighty, then,” he cracked a grin. “Time for a road trip.”
After a while of scrolling through your social media accounts you sat back and stretched. Then you flopped back into your seat and looked over to Osamu. “Samu,” you whined in the most obnoxious voice possible, “do you have any food? I’m so hungry.”
Osamu rolled his eyes, jerking a thumb towards the back of the van. “Ya really think I wouldn’t bring food for the trip?”
Immediately, you turned around and began looking behind your seat for food. Sure enough, there was an insulated bag with onigiri. You gasped, bringing the bag into your lap with stars in your eyes. “You brought some?”
You ignored whatever his response was, instead unwrapping one and biting into it. “Mmm,” you moaned, chewing slowly. The nori was still crisp and the rice was fluffy yet still sticky. You closed your eyes to focus on the food. He must have made them right before you got there for them to be this fresh.
“I’m guessing you didn’t eat breakfast, then,” Osamu said, eyes staring ahead at the road.
Your grip on the rice ball tightened before you quickly realized what you were doing. Your apartment didn’t really have much left to eat after you’d finished up the gyoza last night, and even if you’d had food, you weren’t sure if you would’ve been able to keep it down. Butterflies had filled your stomach as you had tried to go to sleep, and they hadn’t really disappeared yet. “No,” you shook your head. “I woke up early in the morning and was tired.”
Osamu hummed and then didn’t say anything else. After another long beat of silence you squirmed in your seat, a little on edge. “Mind if I play some music?” He shook his head at your question and so you took over the AUX, playing some songs that had been stuck in the back of your mind lately. After the music started, any awkwardness immediately dissipated as you sang along and Osamu tapped his thumb on the wheel to the beat of whatever was playing. At one point you had even pointed out his cute habit to which he had denied before doing the same thing twenty minutes later. Giggling, you just looked out the window and didn’t comment on it that time.
After about an hour of songs, Osamu finally spoke again. “You can go back to sleep, if you want. Ya look tired.”
You looked over at him and then nodded, curling into yourself, rubbing your wearied eyes. Sleeping would be a good opportunity since you hadn’t gotten much last night. You leaned against the seatbelt and window and closed your eyes, ignoring the bumps in the road which made your head hit the glass each time. Before you knew it, you were asleep.
After a little less than five hours, you woke up to Osamu driving, now playing the radio instead. You looked outside. Gone were the skyscrapers and bright lights; in their place were rows and rows of empty fields, all blurring past you. "Are we in Hyōgo yet?" you asked, turning back to him.
Osamu gave you a quick glance and then switched his gaze back on the road. It was just the Onigiri Miya van on the stretch, the rest of what you could see of the roadway completely devoid of another vehicle. "Yeah," he replied. "We have about an hour left. I was gonna stop at the next place to stretch, though." He looked over at you again. "Is that alright with you?"
You nodded and then dug out another rice ball from the thermal bag, munching on it as you stared out the windshield. The nori wasn’t crispy anymore but at least the filling was still yummy. "So we're going to stop somewhere first. What's the plan after that?"
Osamu adjusted his grip on the wheel, driving with only one arm. "I was thinking that we could stop by your house, unload your luggage, maybe clean up your space since no one's been there for a while, and then go to do my business in Hyōgo." He paused, then added, "With Kita."
Your heart raced. It was your first day back and you were already going to have to face Kita. You could just stay home, a voice nagged at you. No, you thought, your face filled with grim determination. You could do it.
Almost as if sensing your internal strife, Osamu said, "Y'know, Y/N, I think Captain is just as nervous, if not, more." He continued staring ahead, not looking at you. Now he started tapping his thumb against the wheel again.
But you, your head snapped to look at him. "Really?" you asked, eyeing him skeptically.
Osmau nodded, smiling. "He's barely said a peep in the group chat he's in with me. Although now that I think about it, that's usually how he is." He chuckled. "Unless he's getting in between me and Tsumu."
You sighed, sitting back. Why had you expected Kita to hold anger towards you? Because you chose a career over him? Because you chose success over two of you, the voice in the back of your mind whispered. You ignored it, crossing your arms. You felt bad for thinking he would be anything less than how he always was in your mind (he was always Mr. Perfect), but it also made you feel better knowing he was scared too. No, not scared. Nervous, Osamu had said. Oh, god, how were the two of you going to act when you saw each other?
"Hey, Y/N." You turned to Osamu just as he pulled into the driveway of probably the only gas station within a 50 mile radius. He smiled, the corners of his eyes crinkling. "You'll figure it out."
As you followed him out of the van to stretch out your legs, you could only hope that you would figure it out. Preferably before you had to see Kita.
You had, in fact, not figured it all out by the time you and Osamu reached your childhood home. Instead of thinking about your lack of a solution, you resorted to reaching under the dingy welcome mat and pulled out a plastic bag with a key inside. “Still here,” you said cheerfully, showing the dirty bag off to your friend.
Osamu rolled his eyes and waited as you fumbled with the key to the house and then eventually opened the door.
You peered into the dark corridor and slipped off your shoes before stepping onto the hardwood floor. “I called the electricity and water guy,” you muttered, dragging one of the suitcases behind you. You paused and then grabbed the handle, which extended, then let the suitcase’s wheels do the work for you. “Everything should be functional by the end of the day.” When you got to the end of the foyer, you gasped. “What…?”
The inside of the house was, contrary to your belief, not at all covered in a thick layer of dust like you’d expected. Instead, it looked almost exactly the same as when you had moved out from there.
Osamu trailed behind you, taking his cap off and scratching the back of his head. “To be honest, I forgot that this was happening. Everyone here didn’t want to see your house collect dust and fall apart, so they..." He motioned around him, your eyes following.
The tatami mats in the living room and your parents' bedroom were clearly cared for, otherwise there would’ve been the overwhelming scent of dust or mold. You could imagine the diligence it would’ve taken to clean them so regularly. And the furniture— you ran a finger along the top of the kotatsu and then looked at it; nothing. You’d have to move the kotatsu into storage since it wouldn’t make much sense to have it out right now; you only used it in the winter...
You drank in the rest of the house, mentally planning where to place things and what to rearrange to your own liking. "I'll get the other case you brought," Osamu muttered, sidestepping around you to reach the doorway. You barely noticed him leave as you crept to your own childhood bedroom, sliding open the shōji screen door.
…Huh. It didn't look any different from what you last remembered. You walked inside. You had your western-styled bed, which still had the furniture sliders under the legs to protect the tatami mats; the bookshelves along the wall with your favorite books and shōjo manga... You paused at the string of fairy lights strung above your dresser. Clipped onto them were photos from high school: you and Osamu proudly holding a double-tiered cake you'd made in home economics, you and a few of the other Inarizaki boys fooling around after practice, you with your parents in front of the school in your third year. You laughed to yourself while looking at them, recalling the moments in which the pictures were taken; back when Samu's hair was grey and Tsumu didn't know what toner was, back when your only responsibilities were as Y/N the assistant manager and co-class representative of 3-A.
You stared at the end of the string lights, where there was a picture missing. You knew what was supposed to be there, in that gap. You were unsure of where it had gone though, so you searched your entire bedroom, taking out all of the books in your shelves and turning them upside down, removing all of the drawers in your dresser and peeking inside the base. You scoured your belongings for a sign of where that photo could have been, but to no avail.
"You looking for something?" Osamu pushed off of the doorway he'd been leaning on and peered over your shoulder. "I can try to help ya find it."
You shook your head, smiling. "No, it's okay. I lost something but it's not that important." You stood up and dusted yourself off, brushing your hands together. "We have some free time now that I don't have to clean up around here. What should we do?"
Osamu nodded, thinking to himself. "Well, we could go reacquaint you with your neighbors… or we could get to the farm early. It’s,” he checked his phone, “around 3 right now so we would have a couple hours to check out the entire farm. It’s big, so having too much time on our hands wouldn’t be an issue.”
“Uh…” You bit your lip and stared expectantly at Osamu. You make the decision.
He lifted an eyebrow incredulously, then said, “Alright, farm it is.”
You dropped your phone into your lap in disappointment, tempted to just throw it out of the window of Osamu’s van. Kuroo really is kind of useless, huh, you thought, staring out of the window glumly.
The sound of the tires hitting gravel road caught your attention and you looked out the front windshield. You sucked in a breath. You were here. At Kita’s farm. Or rather, you thought, Kita’s house. You had parked in the driveway of his home which overlooked all the fields. They were still somewhat of a muddy brownish color from how far away you were.
“Ready?” Osamu tried to look grim, knowing of your inner turmoil, but his glittering eyes said otherwise.
You exhaled and then nodded. “Yes.”
The two of you didn’t end up getting very far along the fields before Osamu ran into someone he knew, probably someone else working on the rice fields under Kita based on the way he was dressed. He wore a wide-brimmed straw hat and, somehow, long sleeved shirts and pants. Osamu smiled, greeting the man, “Koji.”
His recipient smiled too. “Osamu. How’s business in Tokyo? Still thinking of opening another shop in Osaka?” Koji motioned for him to follow him down the path in between the rice paddies, and he did, already lost in a conversation. You watched as another group of workers came towards the duo, and you heard laughing and cheering as Osamu talked to them.
Well, damn. Osamu had left you behind. You looked around and then checked your phone. You still had basically two hours to kill. “Ugh…” Should you just wait in the van for Osamu? What if Kita saw the van pulled up and approached it, though? You did NOT want to be alone with him, just the two of you. Plus it would be hot waiting in there. You pulled at the front of your t-shirt. At least there was a slight breeze every once in a while when you were outside.
Am I really going to do this? You looked up at the sky and shielded your eyes from the sun. It was already beating down on your shoulders and back. Sighing, you started in the opposite direction of where Osamu and the workers had gone. There seemed to be a lot of property, you thought, admiring the view. Although the rice paddies were still muddy, the view you had from this side of the farmhouse was stunning. In the distance were lines of trees so dense, and mountains even further away, just a faint silhouette smoothed against the sky. You imagined what it would look like when the rice was ready to be harvested, all green and heavy with the fruits of labor.
A few days ago you’d thought absentmindedly that life had been kind to you, Kuroo, and Kenma. But now, looking around the serene landscape and close-knit community of workers, filled with a fresh green newness brought from only the spring, you wondered: maybe the years had been kind of Kita, too.
Behind you, you heard dull rustling, and you turned automatically. You froze, stunned. Your mouth moved and formed words before you could even comprehend what it was you were saying.
“Kita?”
a/n: ohhh my goodness i had the worst experience with a karen yesterday and i never thought i would have to deal with one for some reason…. fuck you amy and i hope i never have to see your bitchass face again

I get it, Anon, I get it. All of the Pillars are alive. But, I'll be lying if I said I'm not mad at Muzan, but he's hot. And Muzan you is still a dick.
HEEE HEEE *MJ voices*
Overall, this is really fun to write!
Kibutsuji Muzan x Friendly!Reader (Domestic Taisho EraAU)
Let's say. Muzan didn't really care about the Pillars. He actually sickened by "Killing Muzan by Ubuyashiki: A Whole Plan" scenarios, but keep searching for Blue Spider Lily.
He didn't order his Upper and Lower Moons to kill the Pillars. Whatever, they could slay his minions, yadda yadda but he will not lay up his hand on the Pillars nor the Ubuyashikis.
The reason was simple.
You.
"Muzan, it's me!" Your cheerful voice was heard from the front door, he stopped everything he do and quickly rushed to you
"Good morning, (y/n)."
"Morning, Muzan!" You put your shoes on the shoe rack. "I will make breakfast, like always! What do you want, Muzan?"
"Everything you cook will be fine by me."
"Okay!"
He actually didn't need to eat that, but seeing you with your Demon Slayer uniform covered with apron every morning was really pleasant. Also your food is somehow great on his taste bud.
"Oh, thank you for the antidote! Shinobu-chan said that she wanted to know you, but since you said to not tell anyone, I came up with a reason!" You put rice on his bowl and gave it to him.
"And what kind of reason you give to that Shinobu?" He took that bowl and started to eat. Who the fuck is Shinobu, he thought.
"I said that I picked it somewhere on the ground!"
"That's the stupidest reason you could come out with. And she believed that?"
"I don't know, she just sighed and continued her works." Muzan chuckled. He usually stared at you eating, almost forgot his own food.
He remembered the first time he met you. He was hiding after he lose on his fight with Tanjirou and the Pillars at Ubiyashiki residence.
Muzan recognized you as one of the new Pillars and about to change his appearance but he was caught by you. He really thought he will be killed
But instead, you said, "Are you lost? Can I help you? You look pale."
Instead killing you on the spot for saying him 'pale, he's playing along with the role, told you that his name is Toshikuni Muzan and he's a doctor who had special disease that couldn't stand under the sun.
When he knew that you are new Pillar, he thought about taking advantage from you to gather information about Demon Slayers. He thought about turning you into demon, or abducting you from there.
But none of it was done.
Now, the whole plan is a mess. His intelligence and tactical thoughts are useless. He was simply enthralled by your own charm. He could read your mind, clearer than the sky. He never sense any animosity thorough your head. It's just cloud of full happiness and full of kind thought.
He fell, really hard, for you.
And you didn't realize because thanks to you, the demon races including Upper and Lower Moons were about to extinct because he didn't create them anymore. He simply ordered his only trusted demon and Upper Moons now, Kokushibou and Akaza, to searched Blue Spider Lily. The rest could fuck off.
And now, you became his 'personal assistant' including his lover.
After cleaning the plates, you headed out to headquarters to give daily reports.
"Where's my daily kiss?"
"Hm, what kiss?" You stood in front of the shoe rack, looking confused.
"Here." He pointed his cheek.
"But aren't that supposed to do by married couple?" You tilted your head.
"Aren't we going to be a married couple soon?"
"We are going to be?" You became more confused, it made Muzan infuriated but he hid it well. "Just once won't hurt, I guess."
You tip-toed and hold his shoulder, did a quick kiss on his cheek.
"Have a good day."
"Bye, see you on night!"
You didn't live with him because you still have sick dad and little sister at your home. He has offered you to stay at his house, along with your family but you refused since you didn't want to disturb his research.
When you don't have something to do on the headquarters or currently not training your students, you visited him again in the afternoon.
You usually asked him what he wanted to do, helping him or sometimes just sitting on his lab and reading some journals he made.
"How is your father? Did the medicine I made worked?" He asked while shaking his test tube slowly.
"Yes!" You jumped from your seat and ran towards his desk. "He felt so much better! Thanks to you, Muzan! I probably never find a kind doctor like you!"
"Well, that compliment seems super honest to me."
"Of course, I'm honest! Right! How should I pay you back?"
"Date with me, tonight."
"Whaaat?? Aren't we always dating at night? Well, except the day when I have mission."
"That's fine."
"If you insist, we'll go!"
He smiled again. You always succeeded on attempt to make him pleased, more than anyone else. It's just a simpel thing though, but he appreciated it.
After eat lunch, you took a seat on his sofa, doze off and take a nap there. Muzan joined you, sometimes he slept on your thighs, sometimes you slept on his shoulder when he reading his book.
"Muzan-sama, I came to-"
"Ssh." Muzan put his finger in front of his lips when he saw Akaza from the window.
"Ah." Akaza lowered his voice when he peeked up on Muzan's shoulder. "Miss (y/n) is here, I see. Excuse me."
He didn't want anyone to disturb your nap. Not after he saw your eye bags, plus scars here and there.
Well, should I ordered my remained demons to escape or don't attack her, he thought. He looked at you again. Wow, what an idiot expression.
"Mu... Zan... How about... Scaly... Skin..."
He wiped your drool, and smiled with the same idiot expression with you.
It really hits different when people were in love, indeed.
When night comes, your 'date' with him is started.
You will hold his hand and pulled him around on the way. The reason, again, is simple.
"I'm not really familiar around this city."
"Huh? Even though you live near here? No worries! I'll be your guide!" You showed him smug smile, and grabbed his hand.
If Douma was around, he probably laughed at you because he knew that Muzan could remember roads and places in the blink of eye.
But, no, he won't tell you the truth.
When you walked around, you usually bumped on your fellow Pillars.
"Tanjirou!!"
"(y/n)! How are you doing?" Tanjirou approached you with bright smile.
"I'm great!"
"Did you just go alone? I just got news from Kasugaigarasu about this place. There are demons, it's dangerous to walk around alone in this city."
"Huh, but I walked with Mu- I mean, Toshikuni-san, my- eh? Where did he go."
"Hm?"
"It- It's my acquaintance." You looked around like a chick lose its mother.
"I see. Anyway, please be careful."
"I will! Thank you, Tanjirou!"
After Tanjirou waved his hand, you looked for him. "Muzan! Muzan, where are you- whoa!" You almost slipped and someone caught your back in time.
"Careful there, lady."
"Muzan! Where have you been? I just meet one of the strongest Pillar, I wanted to introduce you to him."
"I didn't want to meddle with Pillars except you."
"Why is that?"
"By the way-" He put a red hairpin on your hair. You tapped your head, feeling something. "Perfect."
"Muuuu, you always bought me things when we're dating! The only things I ever gave to you were handmade omamori and knitted scarf. It's so unfair!" You light-hitting his chest, he just laughed while playfully fend your hand.
"That's the essential of dating." He patted your hair. "Let's go."
You're still grumpy but soon forget about that. Both of you continued your walk, from the square to a little bit quiet place.
"Oh, hi, grandpa!! How is your udon selling today?"
"Auntie, let me help you!"
"Girl, you look cute on that dress!"
Muzan rubbed his forehead. Are you really not knowing the concept of 'Minding your own business'?
"You're really friendly."
"These are the people who helped me!"
"Just a little help."
"It means a lot for me!"
"Hah, read the situations will you." He mumbled. He didn't really like her being so friendly towards other. It really pissed him off.
"Oh? Oh? Muzan, are you jealous?" You elbowed his ribs.
"Yes, so kiss me." He moved his face towards you. You hold his face down.
"Why is everything had to be resolve by kiss?! Muzan you-"
You suddenly stopped. The sense of demons lingered around your body.
"Muzan, back off." You unsheathed your hidden sword. "The demons are here. Tanjirou was right about the rumour."
You didn't waste your time. Not wanting the demons attacking first, you went to the direction where the demons were ready to kill you.
He just stood there while crossing his arms, smile proudly of his little baby slashing down numerous demons in no time.
Oh, what a poor demons, they probably wanted to report something to Muzan. But nah, he will just ask Akaza what happened
"Done! I'll give the reports thorough my crows later."
"What a reckless move." He wiped the blood on your cheek. "I see you're not hurt anywhere. Thank you for protecting me."
"Of course!"
"Let us continue our walk."
It's just both of you now, heading back to home.
"You see, Muzan. I might kill demon and all but..." You looked down and smiled vaguely. "I wonder what kind of life they had before they become demon. Is she a daughter? Future bride? A samurai? I don't know. But I always pray they will get a good life in the next reincarnation after I ended their life as a demon."
"Really? How thoughtful of you." He stopped and stood in front of his house.
"Yeah. So-" You looked at his eyes, grabbing his hand and clasped it gently. "I hope you could heal, I hope you could see the sun, feeling the warm dissipate into your body on our next life. I hope we could meet on our next life."
Again, he read your mind. Nothing. just pure thought about him being a complete healthy... Human. It's weird because he saw the human value inside you.
He didn't just fell for you, he was demolished by you to the ground.
Your sister sometimes told you to stay him at night because he seems lonely.
"Nee-chan, I will take care of father."
"But-"
"I'm a Demon Slayer too, count on me!"
"Well..."
"Toshikuni-san looks lonely in that big house, as his lover shouldn't you accompany him?"
Since there's no problem with it, sometimes you went to his house an sleep with him. When you do, he's really happy and always promised he didn't do anything weird towards you without your consent.
His bed was so big, unlike the futon on your house. After change into your bed robe, you likes to roll around without worry.
"You really like my bed?"
"Uh-hum." You put your cheek on his pillows. "It smelled like you."
"That's why I told you to move here." He positioned himself besides you. He tugged you into the blanket, kissed you on the forehead and brought you closer to his chest. He caressed your back until you fell asleep.
"Good night, Muzan."
"Good night, (y/n). Sweet dreams."
He didn't need sleep, he only need you to stay by his side.
Oh how he wish he went back to human again.

Childhood promises - Hisagi Shuhei
"Shuhei wake up! It's snowing!" (Your Name) says putting on her torn up shoes while running outside. Rukongai in the winter was harsh and they were poor but it didn't mean they weren't happy.
"I'm coming!" He calls out putting on his robe and touching the white floor.
She was playing with the snow and smiling. He shyly watched. "Come on!" She yelled out and grabbed his hand.
"Ahh!" He protested and stood next to her and she smiled.
"Let's make something!"
They made a snowman and laughed as it fell apart from their poor attempt of it.
"I'm hungry (Your Name)." He says clutching his stomach.
With a worried face she walks back into their house and looks at what they had left. "Here eat this."
It was the last of their rice balls they had.
"But you won't be able to have any."
(Your Name) smiles and gives it to Shuhei anyways. "It's okay eat it."
Looking at the rice ball he broke it in half.
"Thanks." She smiles and eats it in one bite.
Shuhei zones out in the office and smiles sadly to himself. He had missed (Your Name) deeply and regret being a weak friend at the time.
He remembered he thought of her as family, they had no one. Although she was 5 years older than him (Your Name) worked hard for them.
Shuhei remember she worked at a small stall in rukongai and she made enough money for them to live enough to survive. Although they starved from time to time they were happy.
Kensei walks in with papers and places them on Shuhei desk. "Need these done by tomorrow."
"Okay Captain."
Kensei stares at Shuhei and walks out the office. He noticed that his Vice Captain had been spacing out recently but he didn't want to push any matters that were unnecessary.
"Are you okay (Your Name)?" Shuhei asks with teary eyes as he watched her wrapped a cut she got from work that day. "I'm okay thanks."
She smiles and sets down some hot soup she warmed up, although there was no rice today.
"What did you do while I was gone?"
"I played out in the fields with some friends."
"Fun, I'm glad you made it back safe."
"Actually... we were almost killed by a hollow."
"What?! Shuhei you could have gotten killed!"
He looks down and starts to cry. "I know, I'm sorry I was so scared. I couldn't do nothing. It was so big and strong. I didn't want to leave you either."
(Your Name) pulls him to an embrace like a mother would and kissed his head. "It's okay you are safe now."
"I met a Captain, and he saved my life. It made me realize that I wanna be a Shinigami when I'm older. I can take care of us and get strong!"
(Your Name) laughs and ruffle his messy hair. "Okay one day, promise me."
"I promise!"
The next morning they were rudely awakened when their door was knocked down and a group of men came in.
Shuhei eyes frighten as (Your Name) became alert and pulled him behind her.
"Your the bitch that sold us the fake metal." One said and grabbed her harshly.
"(Your Name)!" Shuhei yells and runs after her but she stops him.
"Don't come after me!"
He panics and watches as she struggles to get off the grip of the men. They were dragging her somewhere unknown.
"Leave her alone!" Shuhei screams and grabs the stick to hit the men.
Shuhei was sent flying a few feet in the air as they punched him and his nose bleed. He wanted to cry but he was losing (Your Name).
As they dragged her off Shuhei was left with one other dude as he beat Shuhei black and purple.
Lying on the floor (Your Name) was out of sight as he cried and ran to find her.
He screamed and fell to the ground.
Shuhei grips his hand in a fist as he laid in bed looking at the ceiling. He thought about (Your Name) wondering if she ever survived.
Rubbing his eyes he pushed the tears threatening to fall. She had sacrificed everything for them and he couldn't even save her that day.
The next morning Shuhei walked into the publishing office and greeted everyone with a smile. It was a new day and new opportunities waited for him.
"Me and Renji are giving some rookies a tour of Soul Society wanna join me?" Kira asks him as Shuhei had to pass. "Um nah seems kinda boring but good luck though!"
(Your Name) ended up stuck with a group of new comers like her as they toured the place, the blonde dude was kinda bland and gloomy but he showed everyone the important stuff which was the only thing that mattered.
"What squad do you wanna join?" A girl as her as she looked around amazed at the place.
"I'm not sure yet! I guess any that accepts me!"
Passing all the barracks Kira goes into the editing room. "And this is where we publish all the paper work, stories and headlines. The head of editor and chief is Lieutenant of Squad 9."
Shuhei greets everyone and smiles talking about how fun and hard working the publishers are.
(Your Name) looks at him with confusion. He didn't state his name but he looked familiar to her. "My name is Hisagi Shuhei! I can't wait to see what squad everyone joins!"
"What a minute? That's!"
"Okay everyone follow me." Kira boringly says and walks them out as she turns to find Shuhei but he was already gone talking to a few coworkers.
"I guess I'll catch up to him at another time. He's so grown now."
She smiles knowing that he successfully took care of himself. Although the scar and 69 was new.
"(Your Name)?" Shuhei calls out as she washes the rice for them that night.
"Yes?"
"Will you ever leave me for someone else?"
She tilted her head in confusion and laughs. "What do you mean?"
"Like if a guy came and you liked him."
"No silly, we have each other."
"Promise?"
"I promise! Trust me when you get older all the ladies will swoon for you."
"He's so hot!" A few girls giggled to themselves as they continued the tour.
By night time came they entered a dorm place for all new comers. Tomorrow was the day that they picked their squad whether they wanted to be in it or not.
(Your Name) was placed under the 6th squad, which to her seem pretty good because her Captain was a noble and everyone seemed fairly strong. Although she wasn't nearly as good as a seated officer she didn't mind working her way up.
"Abarai Fukutaicho?" She calls out one day as he turns to her. "Um? Do you know where I can talk to Shuhei?"
"Uh?? You mean like the Lieutenant from squad 9? Are y'all close like that?"
"Yes, I'm his childhood friend. We lost contact a long time ago but I just found him."
Renji was bewildered, he didn't know much about Shuhei past but it sounded a lot like him and Rukia so he couldn't reject her.
"Yeah I'll let him know."
Shuhei was in the middle of a rush when Renji walked in. "Yo! Someone was asking for you!"
"Not now! I'm kinda busy." Shuhei states skimming through the papers rangiku messed up on.
"It's (Your Name) she really wants to see you." Renji says as Shuhei drops the papers and looks up shocked. "You mean it?!"
"Yes, like she's in my squad and everything."
"Where?! Where is she!" Shuhei yells with a big smile on his face as he gets up from his desk.
"Woah woah calm down!" She's over at the fields training-" without letting Renji finish his sentence he made a run for it.
Renji smiles and scoffs. He was happy knowing that the reunion was going to be a good one.
Shuhei saw her with her sword training hard as she sweated and concentrated on her spiritual energy. "(Your Name)!" He yells out as she turns to him.
She smiles and ran towards him as they pull each other in a embrace.
"Shuhei! You're so grown now!" She says and he crushes her with his inhuman strength now. "Well you're so tiny!"
They let go as they both couldn't stop smiling. "How?" He says as she sat on the grass as he took a seat next to her.
"Remember when they took me, I managed to escape but we were so far away I couldn't find the way back home."
Shuhei groans and looks down. "If only I was strong back then, I would have saved you."
"It's fine, you were a kid. I don't blame you."
He smiles softly as she touches his face and he starts to blush. "What happen to your face?" She asks with concern.
"Don't worry, just battles and the 69 is something I got from the man that saved my life. He's actually my captain now."
She laughs and lets go. "Well you succeeded, now you can protect me from now on."
2 years later
"Why don't you tell her!" Hinamori pouts at Shuhei trying to push him into the restaurant.
"Be-because it's weird! She was like an older sister to me."
"But you like her right?" Rangiku jumps in unintentionally popping her breast out as Shuhei looks away in awkwardness.
"Better tell her before someone else beats you to it." Kira adds looking into the restaurant spotting (Your Name) dressed in a nice kimono waiting for a certain childhood friend.
"Come on! Renji even asked Kuchiki Taicho to reserve the best restaurant in Seireitei right now!" Hinamori says making Shuhei feel a bit guilty that Renji made the effort to beg his captain.
"Oh fine fine fine! I was going to do it my own pace but since everyone is telling me to."
Shuhei takes a deep breath and enters the restaurant.
"Shuhei!" She calls and waves him over.
"Sorry I'm late, how was your day?"
"It was good! I can't believe you got a place like this for us!"
Shuhei sweats a bit and drinks some water before answering. "Yeah me too."
"Ahh little Shuhei is so handsome now." (Your Name) smiles and push the messy part front of his hair away from his eyes.
He blushes and grabs her hands with his. "You've grown to a fine lady also... but you kept your promise."
"What promise?"
"Remember when we were little, I didn't want you to leave me for another man."
(Your Name) laughs and covers her mouth with her free hand and tighten her grip with his hand.
"Of course, why would I want anyone else?"
"I wouldn't want anyone else but you (Your Name)." Shuhei confesses as she drops her smile.
They had been through so much she could see a life with him and he could see a future with her. A future with laughter and happiness where they no longer starved or lived poor.
"I'm making enough money for us and I'm strong enough to protect you now. That means I'm the man I told you I wanted to be and the man you deserve to have."
She chuckles and set their hands down on the table as she rubs it softly.
"Always, I don't see why we wouldn't work out. The future tied us back together."
Shuhei grins like the child he once use to be and boldly kisses her from across the table.
"I've been waiting for this for years, our first kiss."
"And many to come." (Your Name) adds with a blush.
