mahoyo collab and id chapter combo explodes me so much. they were able to sleep so peacefully after Id chapter because in the scene where ricardo and himeko ask about what guda wants to do after 'graduation' or their future they said they'll think about it. its noticeable especially with ptolemy valentines like... that scene was special and its so evident about their situation.

like... ptolemy reminds them of how a journey ends and life goes on. and so gives them a 'side quest' because guda hasnt been able to think about the future at all despite striving to reach 'that destination'.

meaning: ever since the start of it all, part 1 especially as they already had so much nightmares scathach had to clean it and theres also the tiring work for dantes throughout the years, they havent been able to really get a proper night's rest what with getting isekaitis, dreams varying on nightmares, emptiness, memories, thoughts, and feelings of Servants. and upon waking up, the routine is never relaxed and thus theyre occupied 100% of the time. even in sleep.

"I'll think about it." everything got worse after lost will so combined with a lot of mental health problems and Top Grade Repressing, they're able to think normally and clearly after a a nice sleep for the first time in a while... in a place not in chaldea, but in a nice vacation hotel...

the Avengers gave them just that. before leaving...clearing out the very literal things plaguing them. it will still probably accumulate but its been thoroughly cleaned out and incinerated so it will be a long while before it gets worse- and dantes has already reassured that the end of the journey is near. just a little more and guda would be able to reach that which they long for...

after such a gray sky, you're able to see a blue sky, if temporarily, and dream of a future where you can be with someone you love and make and create food that would give joy to anyone...
