The Blazing Moon: Journey to hell by Ekta Sinha
About the Book
This story is a horror, psychological thriller, or something else, can’t be revealed much because the writer wants the readers to enter each ‘hell’ that Nainika enters. She wants them to feel the trauma and the struggle that Nainika goes through during her ‘journey to hell’ . You will turn the pages to know what happens next, this is the USP of this story. Here is an excerpt.. It is raining heavily. Nainika takes her sunglasses off. The bus stops in front of an old two-story building. The door of the bus opens and Nainika steps out of the bus. She knows that this is her new destination. The place looks weird and gloomy. Why she is here? “Not again!.” She looks at the lane which is flooded with rainwater. She throws her diamond-studded sunglasses in the mud. Her branded shoes are in the mud! ‘Yuck,’ the smell is terrible. Drainage is overflowing. She knows that the game is on!...the game her mind is playing with her. She is suffering because of her culpability!

I'd say the same thing I'm sure a million people before me have said; look to folklore and folk magic. Most folk magic is heavy in healing spells and rituals. Here in Sweden we have both a small heritage of Norse magic left behind, as well as more modern practices of the cunning men and women (kloka gummor/gubbar). Often the latter draws heavily upon psalms and the widespread Christian beliefs of their time. Some use herbs, some only require laying of the hands and chanting, or require other materials that could be found anywhere. I don't know where Anon lives, but I've found that a great many historical accounts of folk magic often lets you find the answers you seek. For an account of swedish folk magic, I heavily recommend "Svenska trollformler" by Bengt af Klintberg. It also shares a lot of similarities with the british healers workings, who also used psalms quite often. Either way, good luck Anon and don't despair. Should you be completely unable to locate any historical accounts that don't use herbs not native to your region, you can always go the longer route of slowly communicating and building a relationship with your local plants to learn their wisdom directly from them, as many native peoples have done throughout time. If you are commited, there is always a way.
Do you have any recommendations or advice for someone who wants to learn more healing magic? Any resources? I see most focused on healing herbs but not very useful to where I live since the flora is very different.
Often it just starts with books about native plants and their traditional uses. I do some healing, but it’s not an area I currently consider myself knowledgeable enough to go into detail on. Though that may change as I learn more. I hope maybe one of my followers has some tips.
