Happy Hump Day!!! Part of the way that I keep my peace is asking myself, “what’s my motive? Am I doing this out of love or obligation?” If it’s out of obligation I don’t do it. If it’s out of pure, genuine love I’m all in. I don’t allow myself or anyone else to put more responsibility on me via guilt trips, manipulation, or unspoken expectations. Peace is a very important commodity that I’ve learned to guard. Doing things out obligation, fear, or manipulation is self imprisonment. Do everything from a place of love and be okay with saying NO. Saying NO is not selfish, it’s actually true love. This sometimes is hard to get used to especially, if you have a tendency to be a people pleaser. Saying yes to things that rob you of or intrudes on your peace is what’s selfish. Especially, when it’s with a stressed & complaining, attitude. That’s not good for anyone. Love yourself enough to say NO!
