Why does my favorite character in this franchise have to be so goddamn hard to draw.

Anyway, doodle because I tried and failed to get my ME1 playthrough done today and didn't have much time.

100 days of art, 87/100 - "enough portraits", I said, and then immediately drew more portraits.

But hey! I like Legion and I didn't have the time to plot out anything more complicated anyway. The dangers of "one art a day" challenges I guess.

100 days of art, 85/100 - EDI! Surprisingly difficult to get right and I'm not 100% pleased with the way this turned out - but the nice thing about art is that I can try as many more times as I need, so no biggie.

100 days of art, 71/100 - I thought my last bit of garrus art was a little half-baked in retrospect, so I wanted to give that another go!

(not quite there yet I don't think, but closer! Also, drawing turians is starting to be fun)

Ngl I would've loved to push this a bit more - not quite Liara-ish enough, cheaped out on the textures and some of the shading - but honestly I just ran out of time /shrug

Not bad for being half-assed, in any case.

100 days of art, 86/100 - Tali, ME2 DLC Outfit Edition, mostly because that was the only thing I had a screenshot of, but also because I like the way Mass Effect does gold-toned metallics.

Which is probably why I had a screenshot of that.

idk, once again I'm kind of ambivalent towards this drawing, but I am patting my own back about some of those folds.

I think I got this one out of my system for now, but also I am just unironically way too fond of Vorcha. They're just such fucked-up, unlucky bastards.

(And on a meta level, they're so expertly designed to be off-putting that it circles back around to fascinating)

Dunno who this guy is yet; I was pondering Turian color schemes under the shower earlier and my brain went "hey what if chai latte colored" and I didn't have anything better to do, so!

I think he's pretty, so he'll probably stick around, but I don't have any solid plans yet.

100 days of art, 77/100 - Today's mood? Seeing the sunrise from the wrong side of sleep because I decided to animate Turians on a whim.

This was also how I figured out that I'd never activated my Clip Studio EX instead of PRO on this computer, which means that it's been over a year since I last animated something with 24 frames. Though honestly, you can count my animation experience on one hand anyway.

His name's Virgil, he's an ancient OC that I drew Once and then never did anything with because I did not have the art skills to get him to look right more than once.

I would've loved to draw a vorcha today, but I was super busy and started this very late, so I went for something easier. First of all, since when are turians the *easy* option? I am scared. Second, in retrospect the vorcha may have been faster after all.

Anyway, Mordin Solus! Mostly because that's the first non-turian in my screenshot folder, but I also just like him.

Also, I guess I'd never drawn a Salarian before.
