It’d be fun! Tahirah said, and she was sure that Edea or Yew would find this interesting. Or maybe their friends would. Either way, she wanted people to beta-test this for her before she incorporated this into, er, actual practice...

“I made an obstacle course that will also count as training! And then I thought of you and figured maybe Edea would like this. And then I realized that maybe the rest of your council would like it, so I invited them to try it out too!” Tahirah smiled as she looked toward them.

“All you have to do is go through three rooms. Each of them has a different activity you’d have to complete. And as thanks for helping, I prepared treats for all of you too...so, what do you think? Want to try it out?”

Geist sighed as he saw her yawn, before fully registering what he just said, gripping the blade. 

“He’s not in danger yet.” He stressed, “But I wanted to warn you since you and him are so close with your master and pupil thing. The thing is...lately, I know he’s been seeing a therapist to deal with a bunch of things, but...I caught a glimpse of him visiting her the other day, and I’m pretty sure she’s not human. As in...a demon.”

He gritted his teeth, shaking his head. “The thing is...my father Eidolon knows who that demon likely is. She’s the one that...killed him, years ago. I don’t know what she’s doing here now, or how she got to Kamiizumi pretending to be his therapist, but...I don’t think it’s good.”

Kamiizumi had heard that Edea had been found injured and in need of medical attention - and despite how busy he was with many things right now, he dropped everything and rushed straight to her side as fast as he could. 

Seeing her so injured, hearing her sound so defeated made him flinch. He wasn’t sure if he’d seen her in such a state before, in all his years working with her - but that didn’t matter right now. What mattered was supporting her with whatever the heck happened.

“What do you mean by they, Edea? What happened?” He hadn’t kept in close touch with Edea lately, and he had a lot of catching-up to do.

Therius watched the other man speak, pointing out how this ball/fundraiser was meant to be for Eisenberg and Grandship. Therius knew the general gist of what Eisenberg and Grandship needed, and he did know that charity like this could go a long way. At the same time, Therius had been at plenty of balls where people threw money in the name of charity not out of the goodness of their hearts, but because they wanted to make a name for themselves. As much as it was a social good, it could also be a sense of pride and greed rolled together into one. 

“You have a point,” He agreed. He didn’t partake in the alcoholic drinks, opting for a glass of cold water instead as he looked towards the other. “At the very least, it is a good cause. Let them believe what they want to believe.”

His emerald eyes took in the other’s appearance. Therius hadn’t been to many balls that were outside of the Empire’s mainland or Lazulis Island, especially on his own, so this was new for him. Calista had asked him to come to this ball, however, and Therius couldn’t exactly refuse the Countess of Lazulis’s orders, so...here he was.

“I don’t believe we’ve met, before. I am Therius. I come from the Empire’s mainland, but I was most recently at Lazulis Island.”

Tahirah nodded in response to Edea’s request, starting to fold the chocolate chips into the battler with a spatula. She smiled, humming a little bit and even swaying side to side as she did so.

“I can’t wait to eat these,” The Countess mused as she continued to fold the chocolate chips in. “Once they’re baked, of course. Also—do we have enough for Krampus, besides just Santa?”

DeRosa shook his gead as he looked to the pool, before taking off his coat and putting it aside. "I'll get myself dry afterwards." He managed.

Looking into the pool, he went silent, watching. It was so odd to him, seeing how deep it seemed with the darkness of it all, even with the flecks of gold and silver. What would come of floating in it...who knows?

All he knew was this: He had to find out all he could. And hopefully not die trying.

Lena snapped her fingers to have the lights of her lab dim, and the floor open a small pool of crystal clear water in the middle of the space. She looked over to Henry and Yew to give them both a stern expression.  This was one she always gave them when she needed some serious protection. 

“You know the drill, make sure nothing happens to us out here… If you see anything suspicious, use the coaxing spell I taught you. ” she reached out to ruffle their hairs before turning to Fiore. Her expression was softer now as she looked him up and down. 

“This should be easier since you’re a mage… If you had zero magic abilities, this would be nearly impossible.” she slipped out of her lab coat and tossed it over the nearby chair, “Do you need something to change into? We’re going to have to get in the water.”  As she spoke, she placed her hand in the water to have the pool shift in colour. The water was now black, and with a shake of her hand, gold and silver specks flew off her palm to swirl within– creating a galaxy effect. 

“We’re not swimming, but we will be floating. I find it the easiest way to get to where we’re going.”

Kamiizumi was indeed startled by Denys nearly brandishing a sword on him, but heaved a relieved breath as he put it away. “I apologize for scaring you.” He managed. “It was not my intention, however...”

He cleared his throat quickly, stilling his heart a bit after the sudden moment.

“I am glad to hear that Minette is doing well, but I didn’t mean to inquire about her or Edea.” He managed. He swallowed lightly, thinking of the Exorcist. “I was wondering...have you been in contact with Geist, lately? I have a feeling that he’s started dating again and...I was wondering if you knew any details about that.”
