The video of Team Sky in Paldea gave me a sudden rush of inspiration, especially the mention of a "mildly annoying resistance", so I started sketching this the moment I came off watching the video for the third time in a row. And finally, I managed to finish it (feat. the original Nightsky)!

The Rise of the Resistance!

I do have some more ideas involving the adventures of Michael and Grunty Boi, founders and leaders of the Resistance, following the rise of the tyrannical Leader of Team Nightsky, and I hope that I'll manage to have the energy to find and create a good way to tell those tales. How would you feel if the dex holders were members of your teams instead of enemies to your team? (especially for Lysandre)

Giovanni: Having that brat Red in my team?! Huh! I’d make him RESPECT me! He’d be the LEST IMPORTANT GRUNT OF ALL! The one that cleans the basement! So that he’d learn his place! And then there’s Lyra, the other girl. I think she’s not as bad, but still I would want her to be a grunt. Maybe under Proton’s supervision she could become a very loyal gruntie.

Archie: Oh, if May were my grunt, I’d be really happy! She’s an exceptional trainer! I think she could be my assistent or something! And we could go out to catch Pokémon together! It would be fun.

Maxie: Yes, like Archie said... May is an adorable girl. Such a sweety! However, I suppose if she had been my grunt, she wouldn’t have warned me about the danger of awakening Groudon... That’s kind of a problem.

Cyrus: If Lucas were in my team? Interesting... A rather helpful person to have on your side. Someone as strong as him... Still, that would have to be in a reality where he’s an adult, I guess, after all I wouldn’t have such a small child working for me. I suppose he could be an admin. Perhaps instead of Mars... She is a little bit weak and not very mature as well, after all.

Ghetsis: So what? Those two girlies, Vilma and... ~ SHUT UP N! YES! THAT’S WHAT I SAID! HILDA!!! ~ So, Hilda and the other brat from two years later, that... Rose, right? They’d work for me like all the other stupid grunts. What else? I don’t care who they are! I’m the boss and they would obey me!!

Lysandre: Ohohoho! Yes, an amazing idea!! This way that boy could finally dress properly once in his life! Actually... I might as well take not only Calem, but all his friends too! They could all enter Team Flare! Then all of them would dress wonderfully with my grunt outfits! And more importantly! If they were in my team, no one would have stopped my from my objectives! So I would have managed to create such a wonderful world!! Oh, only thinking about it makes me cry!!!

Guzma: Having Elio as my grunt? Nice! He could be helpful, right? I mean, the boy got money, bro! That’s all we needed right? Awesome!

(My headcanon alternates male and female protagonists so that I have a ballance of genders: Red, Lyra, May, Lucas, Hilda, Rosa, Calem and Elio.)
