Hiiiiiii so you mentioned after book 3 jovie moves into ramshackle. And uhh I was wondering how do you think Azul reacts? Does he mind? Is it angsty because he feels betrayed? Fluffy because he helps them move?
Idk sorry I refrained from asking this at first but I'm afraid my curiosity is too strong (feel free to ignore if you don't want to answer ofc ^^)
Oh no worries at all you gave me an excuse to talk about them lmao! And please never be afraid to send asks no matter what it is! They all bring a smile to my face <3
Admittedly I'm not 100% set with how I want book 3 to go down with Jovie involved, I have moments of it figured out but the one thing I need to work on is: Jovie agrees to help the Prefect after a conversation with them regarding Azul.
I need to get into the conversation and how it lead to it another time (maybe I'll write it) but Jovie comes out of it realising that their thoughts were right, Azul destroying his old photos will only hurt him mote in the long run.
Putting that out of the way...Jovie pretty much moves as a way to 1) basically avoid the guilt of playing a part in Azul's overblot and not confronting him about it AND 2) understand her feelings without the cause of said feelings (Azul, duh) walking around in close proximity. It's like..turning a new page yknow?
Azul feels... sad. Jovie will no longer be at the Mostro Lounge or the Octavinelle dorm as a whole. Now they'll only have classes (same class) and the cafeteria as their primary times of interaction, which isn't a few, but the fact it's less does hurt and bother him inside, he's just great at hiding it. He's simply not ready to be honest with Jovie, or with himself, about his feelings just yet.
So he happily helps them move all their things to Ramshackle! He might as well appear excited that Jovie wants to make a new start, after all, they've done a lot for him, so helping her with this little thing is no trouble at all, right? And why wouldn't he be happy? His frie- I mean, his very dependable ex-business partner wants to find ways to grow as a person, of course he would be happy!
But imagine how mortifying it would be if they knew he actually doesn't want to feel like he's losing her.
