August Falke 

MC has a 1 year old black lab that she absolutely adores and is totally protective of her. He chases after August and MC when August takes MC to the castle

He winds up liking August after the man unknowingly begins a game of fetch. Now the knight is never left alone.

MC can’t help but laugh when she sees August trying to run away with her puppy chasing after him with a stick wanting to play some more.

He’s still a puppy so he’s...active. Very, very active.

Heloise just loves him when they visit at the Falke Inn

When MC is sent back to Chicago, the dog is understandably heartbroken and just lays next to August, which is a comfort for the knight.

MC literally gets tackled by the dog when she gets back.

When MC is cursed, the dog barely leaves her side, as though sensing something is wrong. He’s not there when they go back to Chicago and like Wyndsor is very depressed, though he’s a bit more willing to be taken care of by the others than the horse is.

He almost pees on Aisetha. MC’s not sure what the sword did, but he gives swords a wide berth after that.

He stayed behind when Heloise rescued Wyndsor and then raced after them, making sure they were safe. There were many treats and scraps to be given for that.

He stays with the Falkes when August and MC go to the elf kingdom. MC has a suspicion that Heloise is going to spoil him rotten.

She would be correct.

He follows August and MC wherever they go, to no ones surprise

Saerys 

MC has a mutt that she adopted a few months prior. She’s a very nervous dog, and MC figures she had been abused by her previous owner. It took a lot of love and affection with MC for the dog to ease up on her nervousness.

To MC’s surprise, when they arrive in the Fantasy Realm, and the dog meets Saerys, she instantly likes him. It’s a surprise to Saerys too, but still

She follows Saerys around and is a nice emotional support for him.

She seems to sense something happened to MC when she died and Saerys brought her back to life because she just cuddles them both to the point it is overbearing.

She jumps through the portal after MC and Saerys. Initially MC considers leaving her with Sophie, but the dog pretty much clings to her. So that’s a no go.

She senses when the demon spirits join Saerys. It’s...odd to say the least. She growls lowly, but doesn’t like leaving Saerys.

MC worries a little bit, but it doesn’t seem like the dog is upset about it, just cautious.

Saerys is super angry when MC says what she thinks happened to the dog when she was younger. He makes sure he’s gentle and patient around her, because he doesn’t want her to be scared of him.

Altea Bellerose 

MC has a turtle that she’s had since she was a little girl. He might not be the most energetic pet, but she absolutely loves him.

Introducing Altea to him is hilarious, because he seems just as enamored of the young woman as MC is.

He has a calming effect on Altea and she’ll slow down and relax with him, feeding him some lettuce leaves.

MC routinely finds both of them in the library, and Altea talking to the turtle about logistics in spells. It’s stinkin’ adorable

While Altea’s parents don’t really care about the creature, Lionel loves the turtle and is amazed by it. He then asks his parents for one.

MC has to try and not laugh. She fails.

When she gains her wings, Altea takes the turtle flying every now and then. The turtle seems to enjoy it

Reiner Wolfson 

MC arrives with the kitten that she had just adopted. He’s very much a spitfire personality

He likes Reiner quite a bit actually.

He’s a good distraction for Reiner as he always wants to play and Reiner is more than happy to oblige. Very much.

MC gets kind of embarrassed when the kitten just clambers across the piano, but Reiner finds it hilarious. 

The kitten can sense something is amiss with MC, and tends to stay away from her during this time.

After Aldric’s death, the kitten is very calm and gentle around Reiner, almost trying to comfort him with everything that happened to him. Reiner 

The kitten likes Reiner the moment he comes to visit MC in Chicago. Reiner is surprised. MC isn’t.

Iseul Idreis 

She has an older cat that usually isn’t the nicest to anyone but her. It used to be an alley cat that MC more or less adopted. She’s fluffy and large, almost like a Maine Coon.

However the ‘Queen of the Alleyway’ absolutely adores Iseul from the get go. Which makes MC a little jealous because good grief, it took her forever to get that cat to like her.

She normally is lounging in Iseul’s bedroom or just wanders around. The rat population has significantly decreased since her arrival.

When she gets affected by Jinhai, MC notes she’s just like she was when she first met her in the alleyway. And she doesn’t change much when Iseul breaks the spell.

So...really Jinhai’s abilities have no power over her to be honest.

The rest of Iseul’s family adores her.

She likes Veda the most though. That cat absolutely loves the Prince Consort...much to the amusement and disappointment from Queen Ishara. Apparently the cat likes men of status.

When MC is pregnant, the cat is very calm and gentle around her and will lounge around her stomach. 

She loves Iris and MC thinks she sees her as her kitten versus her and Iseul’s daughter. During Iris’s young years the cat isn’t very far behind the young girl.

MC knows that eventually the cat will pass away, but decides to cherish the time they have together.

Helena Klein

MC arrives with a parakeet. The parakeet is not pleased by this sudden change of scenery and makes its displeasure very much well known, much to MC’s dismay. 

The parakeet seems to sense what Helena is going through and always flies to her and gives her many nuzzles.

He also will land on Helena’s head. A lot. It makes her lose the intimidation factor a little when she’s arguing and a bird lands on her head, and begins squawking. 

The parakeet is still a source of comfort for Helena, especially when she and MC are with the others and her magic has been sealed. It will fly to her shoulder and nuzzle her when she starts getting stressed.

After Alain’s death, the parakeet is practically glued to Helena, as though sensing her grief.

Even when she can’t remember anything in Chicago, she still has a soft spot for the parakeet. It comforts MC, knowing that she isn’t completely lost.   

When they return to Chicago, MC gets another parakeet for Helena. Both of the parakeets now adore Helena and MC can’t help but smile. 

Alain Richter 

She has a cat that is fat, spoiled, and incredibly lazy. He doesn’t really like moving around and prefers getting scratches and treats than actually...doing anything.

The amount of times he nearly smothered MC when they went to sleep is far too many.

He winds up liking Alain quite a lot, and when he can will sit on the man’s lap. Doesn’t matter what Alain is doing.  

MC feels bad for Nyx when they escape, because the added weight cannot be helping

You bet your butt the cat can sense something is amiss when WQ impersonates MC. The cat makes its displeasure of her known.

The cat is a comfort for Alain as he works his way through his guilt and trauma and MC is glad Alain has him.
