It's cooled off enough for me to reinstate my cloche garden for the chickens. They love it when I do this. These old light fixture covers act like cloches. I densely seed under them with an assortment of things the chickens like--things likeclover, wheat, and chia--then let them grow until the bowl is full of green goodness. When I take it off, it's like a tiny forest. The chickens go wild, and eat the greens down to the ground in a few minutes. Then they finish off with a grand big meal at the bottom. Because of the greenhouse effect, it only takes a couple of weeks to fill up.
