Sejikas (chorlito dorado) es una estatua de bronce obra de Bernardo Buco. Se encuentra en Kaunas que es la segunda ciudad mas grande de Lituania.

La estatua es una herencia de la época sovietica y fue levantada en homenaje al pintor impresionista esloveno Ivan Grohar (1867-1911) que esta inspirada en su pintura al oleo llamada "sejalec" (el sembrador) que a su vez representa una fotografia tomada en 1906.

La pintura esta considerada como la mas importante y representativa obra de arte eslovebena y se a convertido en un icono nacional, tanto es asi que la imagen se encuentra acuñada en las monedas de cinco centimos euro de aquel pais.

La estatua simboliza al trabajador agrícola que cultiva la tierra del país al que debe aportar la producción de alimentos.

Ivan Grohar fue un pintor impresionista esloveno. Nació el 15 de junio de 1867 en Spodnja Sorica, que está situada en el noroeste de Eslovenia.

Observations:

The butterfly collected the nectar from different flowers and then left.

How this plant adapted their flowers to attract their pollinators:

Its main pollinators are butterflies, this is because this plant has a sweet smell of nectar, yellow and orange blooms, and it has flat or dome-shaped clusters of small tubal flowers that butterflies can safely perch on as they drink the sweet nectar.

This plant also attracts hummingbirds and Sphinx moths.
