You at some point said that you wanted to change some of the backstory of Verna regarding his relations with Grizzco, to better reflect his position and purpose at the company with the new rotm and potential Splat3 dlc lore. Now that we have everything, have there been some finalized thoughts on the subject?

currently with my OCs I'm a bit stuck. I have this whole huge plot I've been trying to work out with how Cress and Verna reunite and get into some... Wacky Misadventures (they are going to have a bad time. together), and come out of it more understanding of each other....all this takes place prior to the start of Splatoon 3, and Grizzco is involved in that story so i cant really work out what happens to Verna during Splatoon 3 until all that is worked out...augh.

oh god i accidentally wrote too much about how grizzco works in my splatoon OCs setting. under the cut

How I've basically worked it out in my setting is that it's as if Mr. Grizz doesn't even exist. Well, he does, but...you can NOT convince me this literal mammalian bear is micromanaging an egg collection operation a few hours away from an underground cavern, all while building a spaceship, repairing alterna, and doing god knows what with fuzzy ooze? his voice from the radio is pre-recorded. He's just in the background trying to get his golden eggs for his stupid mammal revival plan. Grizz is pretty paws-off with the actual operations of the company. In order for Grizzco to operate like an actual company in the Inkling world, Mr. Grizz needs connections within the Inkling world. He needed to hire people, and lots. contractors to pilot the boats. the helicopters. people to repair them when there's issues. contractors to set up the grizzco building. people to maintain it. Supplying and maintaining weapons. Who put the statue there? Remember when grizzco would actually close its gates? someone had to be doing that. Advertisers? Sales of eggs? Do you really think Mr. "Does your species even have bones" Grizz is doing all that? No. So how would Grizz get these connections? I think ORCA could've helped out in some way with scouting some people online or with Grizz's business knowledge being an all-knowing AI. ROTM sure does a great job explaining or even implying anything about the relationship between those two. /s. But ORCA still is just a virtual entity, and you'd need a physical representative for some things, right? Anyway this is where the Judds come in. I think the idea that Lil' Judd being Grizz's initial way into the Inkling world...sucks. That's probably what the Splatoon team is going for and I do not care, the timeline on that does not make sense. Grizzco was introduced to us, the players, in April 2017. At this point the egg baskets are all installed, and there are Inklings in-universe partaking in egg collection....Lil Judd was born only a few months prior. I'm sure it would've taken a while for grizz to get everything together to establish this company. To me it makes more sense for Judd to have involvement. He's the only other mammal, and the one with all the power. (not only do i think the implied canon timeline sucks, in my OCs canon, i've had it established that grizzco has existed in some form several years before s1 so...) I wouldn't think Judd would know about the mammal revival plan. but like, Judd lets Grizz set up because he's looking out for his fellow mammal, and saw the kind of energy benefits this would have….also more salmon meat, yum. Judd canonically has numerous connections in the Inkling world, even to world leaders. He could use these connections to allow for Grizzco to set up business and give that permission to operate in the restricted areas where Salmonids live. Beyond this I have a hard time imagining Judd getting too heavily involved. Like once some other people are hired to do some more micromanaging of the company Judd kinda dips. Lil judd doesn't get involved until some years later and takes more direct interest in the company. With permissions granted and Grizzco operating as a defense against the Salmonid army while also providing power eggs, then grizz could do whatever he wanted so as long as an amount of money and eggs went into the Inkling world. And eggs are the primary source of income for Grizzco, so this part is very important. I think very early on Grizz would've had to personally deal with the sales of eggs to get the money to get the company started...maybe selling to octarians even? But for some real business dealings in inkopolis, youre gonna need some representatives in-person. anyways remember when this post was about my OCs. So I'm making a Grizzco board of directors, and they're the ones who actually maintain the company and the things in it while Grizz is busy in Alterna. Even the directors don't really know about Grizz's mammal revival plan, they just supply him with golden eggs and turn a profit for the company, by whatever means necessary.

After spending quite some time at Grizzco and becoming more trusted as an employee, Verna gets to know some of these directors. Some become his allies, and some are a bit more unsavory... He starts spending more time with some of them especially after his salmonid encounter, and they'll have a role in Cress and Verna's story. I've had some of these guys bouncing around in my head for years. some of them have art that im sitting on. i wish i could share more but I am Not done cooking </3 so to answer your ask in short. yes I have finalized much of the things with how i have grizzco functions in my OC's setting, and im basically ignoring the existence of grizz himself, in the same way that grizzco as a company runs completely normally even after grizz basically dies in ROTM. but at the moment, i do not have all the details finalized with other people at the company and how verna interacts with them

Had a dream where there was a series of games that was an offshoot of splatoon that was dubbed "splathell" by fans, made for an older audience. It was basically resident evil meets splatoon, a darker and grittier setting, with grizzco functioning kinda like umbrella. You could choose from 3 species to play as, inkling, octoling, or salmonling. You could make your own custom character or choose from 6 preset characters, 2 for each species

It was still in progress, the first game being "cohozuna calamity" and the second one being "horrorboros horror show"

So the octo expansion story and the mr grizz plotline are combined in this version of the universe, with grizzco being the main corporation behind both sanitization and the fuzzy ooze (in this universe the fuzzy ooze works much slower too, rather than instantaneously making you fuzzy it works more like an infection), and you have to fight off both the sanitized and fuzzy horde

You get healing items, an inventory, weapons, etc., like a regular survival horror game. Depending on which difficulty you choose you will start off with different sets of items, easy giving you 2 decent weapons, 5 healing items, and higher hp, normal giving 1 decent weapon, 4 healing items, normal hp, hard giving 1 weaker weapon, 3 healing items, and normal hp, and extreme having a 50/50 chance of giving you a weapon or starting you off with nothing, 1 healing item, and a slightly lower hp. The weapons still functioned how they do in splatoon but were made to fit the aesthetic a bit more

The games are named after their final bosses, cohozuna and horrorboros. They were created by grizzco as bioweapons for war. There are early moments where you see/meet them, but you cant really fight them at these moments. The game allows you to play with up to 3 other players, though if you choose to go solo the other 3 players will be replaced by ai with a randomly generated set of characters (taken from the presets)

The focus of my dream was on horrorboros horror show, specifically the final battle against horrorboros. Good lord was it terrifying

I found my kitty yesterday morning acting strange, very lethargic and skittish. I didnt know what was wrong so i watched him for a while but as the morning progressed I couldnt touch him without him being in pain. I stepped away for a second to get my phone to call my mom and i found him in the litterbox vomiting then he collapsed and started screaming. The first vet we went to wouldnt even see him bc their lunch was more important. They told us to wait until 2pm so we had to drive 30 mins away somewhere else. They accepted him thankfully :c. He had a bladder blockage from bladder crystals and he has to stay there for three days. They drained him but the catheter blocked during the night. They got him drained again and so far hes okay. Theyre hoping his food can dissolve the stones but if not he will need surgery. The cost alone without the surgery is $1,500 and i cant pay that. The surgery would make it around $2,200 if there are no complications. Theyve allowed me payment plans but i cant get a job due to the pandemic and my mom is on minimum wage. The payments will be way too expensive. I know this past year has been tough on all of us and were not the only ones suffering but if anyone could donate it would mean the world. If he doesnt get rid of the crystals and is blocked again im afraid of having to put him to sleep bc we simply have no money to pay for treatment. Here’s some Splatoon!Sonic headcanons no one asked for because I love this game and I’ve actually put thought into this 100% ridiculous AU. \o/

Sonic would use dualies, he’d use dualies. Most likely the Dark Tetra Dualies, since they allow the most dodge rolls and mobility. He’d need that speed to get around the map comfortably. If not dualies though, probably some kind of inkbrush. Opening Gambit is a useless ability as far as I’m concerned but he’d probably have it.

He’d be an inkling! Hedgehog...inkling...thing. I actually haven’t decided how this would work, but he’d definitely have the black markings around the eyes and the other squid-like features. He’s totally chill with Octo friends of course.

I’m not saying he’d make a FANTASTIC Agent 3, but he’d kind of make a fantastic Agent 3. inb4 the only thing keeping me from this idea is the fight from Octo Expansion, because I refuse to tack that sort of unfiltered, raw hatred onto Sonic (you can’t make me do that fight again you cant---)

He’d do a lot of shifts for Grizz! Not really even for money or whatever, mostly just for the thrill and fun of it all. Sonic’s the kind of guy who sees glowflies and goes “YES” because he likes the challenge. Crazy hedgehog.

A Promotion (A Hordak/Horde FanFic First Draft)

“Okay, just remember the talking points and you’ll be fine”

Cobalt took another deep breath as he made his way down the long metallic hall of the Fright Zone. To his left was Force Captain Octavia, head of the Horde’s Navy, and Force Captain Grizzlor, who oversaw most of the day to day running of the army.  While he administered the Fright Zone, the three of them made the Horde triumphant that was just below Lord Hordak, and his Second in Command as it’s most senior staff and high command. Which as of a few days ago, has had a major shake up.

Shadow Weaver, Hordak’s long time second in command, that scary and obviously lonesome witch had been removed from her post. Well more like she had tried to betray the Horde and she was forcefully removed. Quite frankly Cobalt knew that day would come, everyone did. She was never loyal to the cause, only in it for herself. However, her replacement was a shock to everyone.

“I cant believe that brat got promoted over me” Octavia muttered putting a hand over her eye, “She gets one big battle, which she doesn’t wind and all of a sudden Lord Hordak think she can run the whole thing over us”

“I’m sure Hordak has his reasons” Cobalt said trying to keep his cool, “However we just want to insure why”

“I’m not taking orders from a brat,” Grizzlore growled.

Cobalt sighed, “Well Grizz, let me do the talking”

The door to the throne room was just a few inches away from them now. Now Cobalt did not necessarily fear Lord Hordak personally. But he did respect him. He was the leader of the Horde and ruler of the Fright Zone. Without his technologic prowess and organizational skills, the original rebellion against the Tyrant Scorpian King would have failed, and they would have still been under the thumb of another magical monarch.

Only Hordak and the Horde would bring them all down.

Entering the throne room, they stopped to see that the Hordak throne was empty. Meaning that there Horde lord wasn't there. However they could hear some noise coming from the deeper sanctum. All three of them stood nervously.

“So, do we go in?” Octavia muttered.

Cobalt should his head, “No, let's just wait”

“Commander” The trio stood at attention as they saw Hordak exit from his sanctum, he walked out the shadows. He was always menacing when in the shadows. It was like he didn’t want anyone to see him have the time. Yet there he was with that stoic face and red eyes that always had an annoyed look on them.

Cobalt and the others saluted as Hordak approached them.

“Lord Hordak” Cobalt bowed, “Forgive our intrusion, but we are here to voice our concerns about the latest reshuffle in the ranks”

“Shadow Weavers betrayal concerns you?” Hordak asked.

Cobalt shook his head, “No Lord Hordak of course not, good riddance if you ask me, we meant….

“We did you promote that brat Catra over us” Octiavia stated bluntly.

Cobalt wanted to curl up and die right then and there.

Hordak remained quite for a moment with a raised eyebrow, “Force Captain Catra demonstrated organization skill and tactical prowess for her attack on Brightmoon, such administrative skill is what I need in a second in command”

“But we’ve been in charge for years, she’s just a cadet” Grizzlor growled.

“Catra was promoted as a Force Captain on my order a few months ago” Hordak responded, “She has not been a cadet for some time” “Well to us she’ll always be one” Octivaia muttered.

Cobalt held out a hand, “My Lord, again with all respect, we just fear Catra is to young and brass to be second in command, compared to other more qualified senior officers”

“I see…” Hordak replied, “And you believe that your longevity in the Horde means you are guaranteed a promotion over one who has shown more merit” “Well um….Sir the concept of age…”

“I am aware of that Commander Cobalt” Hordak replied, his voice sharpening, “It’s why we allow our cadets to enter the field by the adult Etherian standard of eighteen years of age. You don’t think I’m sending babies into the battlefield do I?”

“Of course not sir, still, she is young and a bit rash compared to Shadow Weaver who…

“Betrayed us, choosing her own power over the greater advancement of the Horde’s objective…” Hordak growled, taking a moment to recompose himself, “I am willing to give second chances commanders, and Shadow Weaver was a adequate administrator of the Fright Zone, but I DO NOT forgive treachery”

Cobalt nodded, “Of course, we would never approve of such treachery, but experience is a factor in running the Fright Zone” “One that you will continue to aid with, Catra has replaced Shadow Weaver, I have not removed anyone else. All functions will continue as planned, I can’t possibly see how the ultimate running of the Fright Zone will change from day to day”.

“But Catra is a brat” Octiavia replied again, sounding annoyed, “Disrespective, annoying and she scratched my out…”

“Neither of those things have affected her performance” Hordak countered again, “If her command prove untenable then action will be taken, but as of now, she has proven herself and thus will be given a rank worthy of that talent, do I make myself clear”

Grizzlore looked like he was about to speak but Cobalt held him back.

“We understand Lord Hordak, thank you for listening to our concerns”

“Do not allow this conversation to make you think you can speak out of term” Hordak said darkly, “My decision to promote Catra to be the Second in Command is finale, and will be honored, understood” All three looked at each other before bowing and saying, “Yes Lord Hordak” in unison.

The three exited the sanctum with a look of defeat on there faces.

“Well that went well” Octiavia grumbled.

“We're gonna have to listen to Catra now?” Grizzlore asked.

Cobalt sighed, “Unfortunately, we can only hope it will go well”

So...

i think the scu kinda starts with the videos "minecraft, but everything drops the wrong item"

and then "minecraft but its pay-to-win(or-lose)

i think like scu!charlie and the other characters live in a world full of certain areas and with some power over the place(maybe theres like a small place that the drop of the blocks are not right) and powerful entities and gods that most of the time love to tease the mortals(like the chat in the pay to win video just makiing charlie suffer lmao)

and i think after the pay-to-win, charlie just keep walking around the world and finds a big village, where he meets grizzly and condi :D (i have an hc that grizzly and condi knew each other since they were little in the scu) And here is the video "minecraft, but its way more traumatizing" so while condi grizz and charlie just try to leave in that live in that village they have to face a lot of creatures

But one day while they were camping close to the village they meet a god. That actualky was the first entity that didn't try to kill them. His name was schlatt and he ssemed to be just a lonely god, and he was watching on the trio for a few days and decided to approach, henjust wanted to have fun, and he found fun. And that happens on "minecraft but every block fights back" i know that this video is actualy after the natural disasters one but i wanted to make my timeline like this because angst<3 Also what i like to think is that the trio ends up worshipping schlatt, and schlatt is now their protector Also they all have presents from schlatt, golden apple earings(for condi) and a golden apple ring(for grizz) and golden apple necklace (for charlie) Im sorry but yes i made scu!schlatt more sad than he needed to be

And after this its the natural disaster video :D and you know what happens in here I mean i like to think What happened is that schlatt is a god that has soemthing to fulffil so he had to give them that apple, the apple whisper to him, he cant disobey it, even if they were his friends, even that the time that when he looked at them he just felt care, he know he wasn't allowed to connect with mortals that way, and know he has to pay the price, watching grizzly crying with one of the dead wolves in his arms, or charlie looking at him at the sky with disbelief(he thought they were friends)and the confusion in condi eyes, the fear

And another hc is that the natural disasters lasts like a few months, maybe a year or more, why? because angst<3 But its also beacuse i think that the trio will end up trying to hide from schlatt and the disasters, while they try to find for something, a spell to banish schlatt, and after days searching, they find it!! And charlie was the one to do say it "begone demon from the storm! be banished from this world!!" yeah :]

And well i feel like the next video would be the 100 players hunting him condi and bizly Because i think after banishing schlatt, some shit hapoens and like they get like teleported to different places so grizzly is in another place :0

And now condi and charlie will meet biz :D!! and also thatoneperson yeah And i feel like this one video is like, condi and charlie(and also grizz) got cursed by the apple so like charlie got goopy, condi got pointy ears and they meet bizly, thats i headcanon that he always had like hybrid features And because of that i lot of people chase them, but some people will try to help them(just like in the video)

And you know that perosn who was wearing a ender dragon head? I also have the hc that its like another god that wants to help chalie and condi to find grizzly but they will need to fight the enderdragon while theres a lot of people after them And well in the end they do that, thatone perosn dies :( But they fulfilled the challenge of the god so he gives the grizzly cords And well bizly goes with them :D

And after this one we have the video "roll" and yeah another god wants to play with them

And after all this adventures the 4 of them got more powerful, yeah they have god powers and stuff

So now you know what happens, its hardest difficulty time baby! Well i like to headcanon that they made another world in this video, but they are new with their powers so thats why a pot of shit happened

but yeah you know what happens in this one grizzly dies :(

and well, i think what happens now goes like this:

after beating the ender dragon they see grizly ghost right? But grizzly doesn't appears for them anymore and charlie thinks its because he didn't leave The end so charlie goes back to the end to see grizzly again, without telling condi and bizly

But when he enters The end again, theres no grizzly to be seem, and well, he tries to come back to the overworld but for some reason he cant And the reason its because, curse :D!! My man is really cursed, mainly because of Schlatt (i fell like when he banished schlatt in the disaster video, schlatt kinda possesed him or something, so he is with charlie as curse) So charlie is stuck in this the end dimension

Condi and bizly are looking for him, they look for him a lot but they cant find him And sadly, bizly after a while, write a letter for condi saying he will leave molympus, he will try to find charlie in other places but he cant stay with him he just feels so guilty

So yeah condi is alone :(

and now we have the To the end video(bizly's video that he like mix every minecraft disc, he makes a cool clip amd stuff)

and if you saw this clip you know what happens, beewee, charlie in the end, yeah

Ok so im going to explain more my headcanon, bizly finds charlie in the end, he was so alone in there, just like grizz was alone in the nether wjen he got banished But charlie found a way of controlling the endermans with his slime, so the one day one of the endermans brought a dog to him

And well charlie is actually really happy to see bizly they talk for sometime but charlie asks how condi is doing, and heres when shit goes down

Charlie gets mad at bizly for leaving condi alone in the molympus They start arguing and charlie lose his mind, he kills beewee

And bizly and charlie start fighting and at the end charlie is too weak because of curse, bizly ends up killing him, more like hurting him very much

And well from now on i have a more happy ending or a sad one

the sad one:

charlie actually dies but before dying he forgives bizly because he thinks he actually deserves to die after all he did with his friends

but before dying he manages to make one of the enderman to teleport bizly out of the end

and bizly goes back to molympus but condi is not there anymore

so him and the corpse of his dog are now alone (but beewee ends up being a ghost due to bizlys powers)

but another thing i like to think is that condi, while being alone, ends up being not able to control his powers, so with all the grief and sadness and the levers of molympus Theres now a new universe (the 100 days hardcore one :])

but the kinda happy one is that bizly manages to take charlie almost dying and beewee back to molympus and condi is still in there and they bith heal charlie and beewee

and i mean they talk and they hug and yeah

and theres a ghost dog boy watching all this, really happy that his friends are back together

But i feel like the 100 days characters are like the gods in a another life, so charlie, condi, florida man and wizzly have dreams about their godhood :0 And schlatt is back at it again trying to give charlie and apple and everything

Hmm i think thats all i have for now, im so sorry i dont even know if you will read all of this LMAO
