In general, all of Grisha's reunions in the afterlife XD. I mean, he reunited with his parents, who didn’t know they had another grandson, with Dina, and I guess Carla got mad at him for lying to her.

Pd: Someone make a drawing of Grisha seeing his little sister Faye again. :)

Plus: I'm 100% sure that if Eren saw Carla again, she would give him a strong ear pull for what he did... Only for Eren to then start crying in an even more childish and pathetic way than when he cried with Armin.

Carla: ...I can't believe it, Eren. Rumbling? Freedom? I told you to keep living, and you died at 19 years old. Why do you never obey what I tell you? And why were you shirtless for so long? You were going to catch a cold. I want you to cut that hair and apologize to Mikasa now. You're in trouble, young man 😡

Eren: Forgive me, mommy. It wasn't my intention, I swear... Do you think Mikasa would like it if I sent her a bird? 😭

it is so important to me that eren is grisha’s divine punishment for how he treated zeke. zeke literally asks his father whether his ambitions would be worth it even if zeke ends up like faye and grisha avoids the question altogether, and then there’s eren telling grisha to carry on what he’s started to avenge his fallen comrades AND THEN EREN EATS GRISHA THE WAY THOSE DOGS ATE FAYE. he is zeke’s JUSTICE.

‘You believe me like a god, I’ll betray you like a man’ reaches lethal levels of zeke&grisha in both directions btw. Grisha believes in zeke as the savior of eldia (like a god) and zeke betrays him by turning him in to Marley (like a man). Zeke tries so very hard to ‘save’ Eldia like his dad wanted him to but in his own way via the euthanasia plan and Grisha in the Paths betrays him by tells him to stop Eren which can only result in Zeke dying.

You know what AOT character deserved the world and had arguably the most cruelest death in the whole series?

Poor lil’ Faye. It’s already bad to get ripped apart by titans, but ripped apart by dogs? Oh god why?!

I get her demise was suppose to be the motivator for Grisha’s eventual actions, but it still saddens me that this innocent girl had to endure such a punishment for something that wasn’t her fault.

I seriously got a bone to pick with Isayama for this one. 😣

Okay- going off of what Anon said. that would be absolutely soul crushing, and I need to see it in fic form. imagine Grisha reminding Zeke that hes a failure, and Zeke realizing that a new baby would mean a constant reminder that he wasn’t good enough for his father.

"we'll have a new baby, to replace zeke; if he can't pull his weight." his weight, i question myself for a moment but realize that this has to be done. my sister died at the hands of marleyan's, her memory washed away like she was nothing.

yet i stand here, still alive and breathing. my own father. . .looks at me with contempt. he's disappointed, i know. when i close my eyes i can hear zeke's weeping, it's so silent. he hiccups and sobs, i can't bring myself to go into his room after my argument with dina.

morning rolls around and i find myself staring at my plate, my gaze traveling up until my eyes meet zeke's. they're still filled with childish innocence and hopefulness. he picks at his food, fork scraping against the glass.

"dad—"

"your mother and i are having a new baby, or. . .we're planning to." i mumble, i find myself becoming slightly annoyed.

"oh," zeke stares at his plate, his reflection looking back at him despite the food in front of him. "why?" kids are always so curious, there's always a "why".

Idk weather Grisha would give yhe Attack Titan to Reiner ( for wanting to do good and be a hero) or Annie ( " ah yes, this is a person who wants to survive at all costs and does have the guts to kill Marley)

Okay, I don't quite know where to begin with this, so let's just dive right in!

I'm assuming in this AU RBA's family situations are similar to their Marleyan equivalent, right? We have Reiner pressured by Karina to become an MP because his dad is from Wall Sina, Annie pushed by her father to join for social mobility reasons, and Bertolt is trying to provide for his sick parent. A couple of things that I think would be interesting to explore in this setting:

Maybe Reiner's dad was an MP too. He met Karina while in training, fathered Reiner and then just abandoned them for the safety of Wall Sina.

What sort of discrimination would Mr Leonhart face? Would he have retreated in the forest like Mikasa's parents? And on that note, why did Annie's birth parents abandon her? (Ackerman Annie perhaps? 👀)

Again, with Bertolt, it would be interesting to explore the possibility of someone joining the military for financial reasons. Our protagonists in canon all seem to have personal motivations whether that's wanting to make a difference or wanting to make their parents proud. The closer we get to choosing this career as a means to earning a living is Jean and Sasha, and even then Jean is more concerned with the security Wall Sina will provide for him, while Sasha most likely doesn't want to become a farmer. So I think that could be an intriguing angle to explore with Bertolt.

Now, regarding on who would get the titan, I'm inclined to answer with Reiner because of the parallels of his character with Eren's. However, I believe that a few things should occur differently in order for this to happen. More specifically, I think Reiner should have already had the disappointing encounter with his dad by the time Grisha gives him the Titan. Otherwise he wouldn't be in the right mental state for Grisha to choose him. Maybe Reiner has a chance encounter with his father when his dad is roaming outside Wall Sina on official MP business (aka murdering ppl) and then feels the need to become a hero to fight the titans and also atone for his father's crimes. This would maintain the Eren//Reiner parallels too, with Reiner rejecting his own father's path and embracing Grisha's path instead.

Another thing that would be interesting to happen is for Grisha and Eren's time within the Walls to overlap somewhat. After all, if Grisha got deported when Eren was a baby, then the curse of Ymir wouldn't take effect until Eren reaches at least 13. It would be fascinating to see Grisha's reaction to a full-fledged (and fully indoctrinated) Warrior Eren.

i've seen a lot of people make the argument that since grisha was so verbally & emotionally abusive that he would slowly become physically abusive because he wasn't able to contain his angry (plus his grief for faye & worry for the eldian race)

what do you think? i'm in the middle, i get the argument somewhat but the vibe is iffy

i think he was particularly toward Dina, less so toward Zeke. in Sole Salvation's anime adaptation, you can hear Dina wince during Grisha and her argument as if he slapped her.

i think he frequently threatened to hit Zeke, but never went through with it. Zeke's discomfort with Grisha touching him comes from other experiences with older men (the Marleyan Brass) in my mind. i think that he couldn't bring himself to hurt Zeke due to his resemblance to Faye.

its so noticeable how grisha got triggered in this scene (he vented his guilty and regrets with anger) because zeke (unconsciously and innocently) reminded him of faye..

I’m not sure if this had been asked before, but what do the Primes think of Grisha Jaeger? Grisha made some mistakes before, some of them catastrophic in the case of Zeke, but the guy was mostly a victim who was forced and manipulated into doing nasty stuff (in the case of him killing the royal family).

They feel sympathy for Grisha. And guilt.

Because they have watched Grisha’s whole life. They saw him see Faye's corpse. They saw him when he joined the Restorationists, and when he actively abused Zeke. They saw him gain the power of the titans and refuse to use it until all options were exhausted.

They have seen Grisha go from someone that was selfish to someone who was selfless. They saw Grisha going from being hellbent on revenge to actively helping and healing people. He put the lives of both Carla and Eren over his own mission and only took action when he was on his last year of life.

And they feel guilty because they probably would have succeeded if they didn't get caught up with Eren and let their angry emotions push Grisha over the edge.

They feel for Grisha and have ultimately decided not to punish him or enact anything on him. They really just let him go reincarnate because he was pretty much a victim majority of the time.

Grisha does get to grow up and have a normal childhood with Faye. They checked in at one point.

Not Grisha starting this story because he took Faye out of the zone to see them blimp. Not Faye saying that her impossible dresm was to ride in a blimp when she was older. Not Zeke, grown up, transported across lands and oceans in a blimp to fight war after war after war in the corrupted body of a Titan.

Isn't it a must for a prospective heir to have a wife? Even if he is not interested in someone, it is his obligation to have a partner and children in the future, for Yeager house.

You’re right, having an heir is important and all, but it’s not just about the standard rules of inheritance; I’ve layered my own set of customs and nuances in the fic Also, this “it is his obligation” doesn’t really match the current situation in the fic, since Eren isn’t forcing Ares, he just wants him to follow his own will. And it's not just a whim of mine, as I was saying, there are a lot of rules that make this dynamic.

Let me break it down.

In tpp, it’s established that in the North and The Lakes, girls can inherit the head of the house. So, after Ares, Gabi could very well inherit leadership. Even though she’s not Eren’s daughter, she’s still part of the family and a trueborn of Grisha, the former Lord Yeager. This connection gives her rights to inheritance, even if she is a daughter. This puts her above Aunt Faye, who is the late Lord’s sister but also has some right to inherit even though she was pushed down the hierarchy.

Do you get what I mean? Ares can name Gabi as heir or do like Reiner, who openly says he doesn’t have a wife and doesn’t want one, so he’s already planning to make one of his nephews his heir. But why not his sisters directly? Because he has male nephews, and in that case, the head of the house would go to the closest male relative. If his sisters didn’t have sons, then one of them could become head of the house.

“I’ve got to admit, your level of debauchery still manages to surprise me,” Jean remarked, his nose crinkling in distaste. “I have to wonder if Historia is the reason why you’ve avoided tying the knot. Now, considering that the lord’s new wife has already proven her fertility to bear children, it’s quite likely that she’ll have more. This means Ares can choose his future siblings as his heirs. Once these new children are born, they will naturally move up in the line of succession, potentially displacing Gabi in the hierarchy. Lucerys could be very well be his brother’s heir, but you know that he is out of the mix since his potential inheritance is something even bigger, lol (he is also proof of inheritance dynamics since he will be his uncle’s heir).

Eren Kruger: Hogwarts AU

Eren Kruger was a Half-Blood wizard that was born on the 5th of April 1926 and started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1937, being sorted into Ravenclaw House.

He had a Beech wand with a Dragon Heartstring core.

His Patronus was a Snowy Owl.

His favorite subject was Transfiguration and his least favorite subject was Defense Against the Dark Arts.

He was one of the Ravenclaw Prefects of his year and later Head-Boy.

Kruger appeared to be a largely stoic individual who never displayed any emotions, most likely as a consequence of enduring years of suffering and misery as a mole and being forced to commit brutal and atrocious acts against fellow witches and wizards. After finding Grisha and Faye Yeager in the Department of Ministry, he felt no qualms in punishing Grisha physically. He again continued to show a lack of empathy when the Yeagers learned of Faye's death, remaining stone-faced at the sight of their sorrow.

However, in truth, he felt remorse for all of his immoral acts that he did to his brethren, but saw it necessary if the ultimate result would have resulted in the ministry being reborn as a proud nation. Another notable aspect of his worldview was his relativistic belief; he denied the concept of an objective truth, claiming that everything was a matter of personal opinion.

Kruger was anti-establishment, a rebel, and against the Pureblood status-quo. His loyalty and attachment for his allies was immense to the point. As the Owl was a brave and very resourceful man, having taken the initiative or the courage to live most of his remaining life amongst the enemy. Throughout his life posing as a Pureblood supremecy, Kruger managed to build a long list of contacts, comrades, relationships, while never being caught.

Kruger's drive with giving Half-Bloods and Muggleborns their equal rights went so deep that he was able having to deal with working daily alongside some of the most extreme portion of anti-Muggle people, such as a few of his fellow colleagues at the ministry. The two formed a bond where both could be seen slacking off together instead of working. Kruger was able to sit through hearing Gross' fanatically hateful tirade against muggles to Grisha without becoming angry, and even when he pushed Gross over the walls of Azkaban in order for him to get his soul sucked out by a dementor, he did not express any emotion.

Another notable aspect of his worldview was his relativistic belief; he denied the concept of an objective truth, claiming that everything was a matter of personal opinion, citing the perception around their the legendary witch Ymir changed according to the state in power as an Example. While speaking of Ymir, Krueger detailed how during the middle ages, she was seen and worshipped as a Goddess, while afterwards she became the personification of all the hateful narratives associated with muggles as a whole explaining his worldview. Compared to the other members of the Revolution, who believed that muggles never had a brutal culture and that every atrocity mentioned by the Wizarding government had to be lies made to justify the oppression endured by Half-Bloods and Muggleborns, Kruger refuted this view, openly doubting most of the extreme claims thought up by higher-ups in the ministry, though recognized the historic truth that muggles used to hunt witches and wizards to burn at the stake.

He believed that many errors had been committed throughout history, and that the only way for Half-Bloods and Muggleborns to gain back their freedom was for them to stop repeating the mistakes of the past.
