Since returning from the Unquiet Wood, Leo often succumbs to sudden sleep in the quiet corners of the Fount, worn down by the lingering costs of casting Grandmagic. Each time, Sebastian Grimm is there to wake him. Or, Five times Grimm wakes Leo up, and the one time he doesn’t.

I'm 99% sure the second option is true. :) Grimm was so vague about it, and he couldn't have written the counterspell himself anyway (not how the magic works), and all the foreshadowing and Grimm's reactions afterwards points to this direction. Plus it is the common trope in these kinds of stories.

Of course the point is that it could have been the first option as well, and it is what Leo believes happened. But the reader is kind of supposed to share the secret by deducing it is the latter, and thus the reader already knows that Grimm has fallen for Leo, but Leo doesn't. And that is always fun. (And my guess is Grimm will present the griffin weather in time of need / Leo will accidentally find it, and then there will be confrontation about it and the feelings reveal.)

I am eagerly waiting for the second book! And if I am wrong about this, that will be a great twist too. :)

Okay, but we can all agree that the curse was lifted in one of two ways:

Grimm recklessly casting the counterspell while Leo was unconscious → He probably felt super guilty that Leo almost died. Especially because the curse definitely influenced Leo’s decision to save him. Grimm wouldn’t want to wait another second before getting ride of it after all the pain it’s caused.

Grimm started reciprocating feelings!!! They are legit soulmates so there’s no issue. Except the secrecy!

Either way, guys, please get it together.

Simon has been subscribed to GrimmLove since they had just 30 followers. Now, they're one of the biggest channels on the sight. And Simon sorta has a crush on Baz. Or at least, that's what Penny (owner of ThePennysThoughts, a social activism channel with the occasional book review, and Simon's best friend/adoptive sister) believes. Simon, of course, vehemently denies any possible romantic feelings because "That's not how the real world works, Penelope." But after Simon gets invited to a convention to do a panel with other popular Youtubers, and he meets Baz, it becomes a lot harder to deny his feelings.
