Where: Firefly event Who: @pen-kneeling Notes: Remus is high
Remus was floating on a cloud. Maybe he should have asked what Marlene had given him before just taking it. Too late now. He had managed to wander off to try and find something to drink.
He was about halfway to a stand when he saw the prettiest thing he'd ever seen in his life. It could be the drugs talking but this person was sparkling. Forgetting the drink he headed over towards this sparkling person. Remus smiled more the closer he got to them. "You look stunning," he complimented with a large smile on his face.

Where: Sitting room in Malfoy Manor When: Post-ceremony, pre-reception Who: Narcissa @nrcissasblack
Adjusting his cufflinks, Lucius entered the sitting room outside the main ballroom. With the binding ceremony already officiated, and hundreds of guests situated on the other side of the wall, all that was left to do was for them to celebrate. Unable to hide the seemingly permanent grin on his face, he spotted Narcissa on the other side of the room, near the door they'd cross over once it was time for them to be announced.
"Mrs. Malfoy," he teased, powerless to help himself. As if subconsciously, he adjusted his boutonniere, naturally made out white narcissus, and strode toward his wife. "Apologies for keeping you waiting, love." Reaching out a gloved hand, he closed it around her own, lifting the back of her hand lightly to his lips. "You can blame my father for the last minute wedding paperwork." His eyebrows raised lazily. "I told him that signing it tomorrow wouldn't be the end of the world, but..." he trailed off, eyes searching his bride's face.
She was a stunning bride, as he knew she would be, and he felt nothing but adoration in that moment. Potentially some pride, sure, but he was genuinely happy for the first time in many years. It seemed like the world had dangled the possibility of their union in their faces for years now. Whether it was either of their parents, Narcissa's sisters, or the events of war, obstacles seemed keen on halting them. They'd made it to this day, though, despite the hectic path they had to travel. "Funny that we've had no time alone today. I hope you know how unbelievably beautiful you are." He heard his words come out a lot less smoother than he'd expected, and it was likely the wide smile on his mouth to blame. "You are the perfect bride," he mumbled lowly, lowering his head toward her, eyes alight.

Quidditch Event, before the match Near the food tents Narcissa & open
Narcissa glanced down at her cloak and brushed off some invisible dirt. Why did they insist on holding Quidditch matches in practical wastelands? It was going to ruin her outfits, and she had spent a lot of time planning what she was going to wear and she didn't want to see her effort ruined. Glancing over her shoulder, she sighed. No sign of Lucius yet. He was supposed to be here five minutes ago, but she supposed he got caught up in something. Narcissa straightened and her eyes fell on a familiar face.
"Well, you're not Lucius but you'll do," Narcissa spoke up, getting their attention. "The food options are rather...subpar but we make do with what we have to. I'm not sure that they have any...suitable options but I suppose we can make something work. Do you have any suggestions?"

Quidditch Event, Before the Match Outside the Vendor Tents Marlene & Open
Marlene was doing everything she could to avoid the Three Broomsticks tent. Rosmerta wouldn't be upset with her, but she did feel a little bad for declining helping out for the event. She was a massive quidditch fan, after all. The tent had a massive crowd around it, surely Ros was busy and wouldn't even notice Marlene walking by, but she still decided to make a U-turn to avoid being seen.
Stumbling slightly over her own feet at the abrupt turn, Marlene took a moment to ensure she wouldn't trip over. Proud of herself for staying upright, she grinned to herself. Feeling a set of eyes on her, she turned her head, eyes narrowing at the person staring. "Can I help you?" She asked in a teasing manner, laughing, "Never see a girl with two left feet before?"

You are cordially invited to join us in celebrating the nuptials between Narcissa Black & Lucius Malfoy. A closed ceremony will take place at 2:00pm sharp on Friday, August 20th, 1982, in the Malfoy’s indoor orangery. A more open reception will follow shortly afterward in the Malfoy Manor ballroom and outdoor garden area, where entertainment and refreshments will be available. Lucius and Narcissa request that guests stick to a pastel palette when dressing for the occasion, though black would also be acceptable. White is forbidden to anyone who is not the bride herself. Wands and invitations will be checked before entering the premises to ensure that only invitation holders are present. Security will be present to ensure against the presence of any unwelcome parties. Sincere wishes that you should attend, Lucius and Narcissa
Hello Members! Here is all you need to know about the wedding reception, everybody that was invited got a message in their inbox.

Local punk rock band The Weird Sisters will be playing a full set of planned covers, guests are invited to dance. Garden - A lush and quiet garden located directly out the open back doors of the ballroom, with space for guests to rest and mingle amongst themselves. Refreshments Pavilion - A big white marble pavilion with a glass top located in the center of the Malfoy manor’s back garden. Here you will find a seating area and all refreshments tables, catered by Greta’s Cheese Grotto and Gentle Confections. Open starter: World Cup event Where: At the site, before the match
James cursed everything that the world stood on as he tried to push his way through the crowds lining up the steps. He got stepped on, elbowed out of the way and generally blocked on his way down the stands when everyone and their mothers were going up to find their seats. And usually, he'd find it mildly hilarious, but now he was full-on annoyed. Though admittedly not at the people in his way but at his direct supervisor, who obviously had to forget to pick up a very important document from another supervisor with seats on a completely different side of the pitch and obviously that document had to be picked up right now, before the match. And if James had a suspicion, that it was a highly illegal betting arrangement, he knew not to snoop openly. Instead, he had to limit himself to a constant stream of, excuse mes, I'm sorrys and if I could just squeeze pasts. He was almost at the lowest level of the stands where the crowd was the thickest when someone a tad too drunk but right in front of him stumbled and emptied an entire cup of beer on his shoes. With another curse and a last push James made it out of the crowd and pulled out his wand to dry his shoes while muttering to himself, "fucking fantastic. I'll have more bruises than both teams put together."

who: open to anyone where: hogsmeade, in front of her cottage near dogweed and deathcap event: quidditch event; (prior to the match)
If there was something the magical community was good at and always had been it was the celebration of any type of event, especially those of the sporty kind. Quidditch cups, especially world cups always seemed to take the cake; bigger, more eventful. Even Lily, who wasn't nearly as much of a quidditch fan couldn't help but be swept up in the festivities. An event such as this called for attention and brought just as much joy with it.
The witch had only just locked up her house, having closed the shop about twenty minutes ago, when she heard footsteps behind her. Waving her wand at the door after locking she didn't bother to turn quite yet as she directed her attention toward the source of the footsteps. "I've closed the shop for the day. Unless it's an emergency, I'm afraid it'll have to wait till I'm open for business again." Finally she whirled around, facing whoever it was. "Are you also headed to the event area?" The redhead lowered the scarf in her hand. If the other was headed there as well, perhaps one may go there together after all.

Quidditch Event, before the game Outside the Stands Regulus & @amissavis
Two glasses of wine floated in front of him as he walked back towards the bench he’d left Emmeline at. They were attending the Quidditch match together, something they’d done a handful of times in the past. It was strange to be doing something that felt so… normal. What was worse though, was that this didn’t feel normal at all. It was so strange to be out in the world, not hiding away in his room and avoiding the people of his past. While Emmeline was also a person of his past, she was one of very few that Regulus had full trust in. It was absolutely strange to be here with Emmeline, but he was thankful to have an old friend to navigate this new life with.
“You’re lucky you didn’t come with me.” Regulus sighed, grabbing his own gass out of the air while offering the second one to Emmeline. “The bartender didn’t believe I was of age, how absolutely outrageous. She asked for my ID, Emms. I’m twenty-one.” He supposed he should be grateful that he had such a youthful appearance, but when he’d presented his identification to the witch, she gave him some kind of strange look. Likely recognizing his name. He tried not to think too much of it, it didn’t matter what the look meant, tonight was meant for fun. “Are you excited for the match? It feels like a dog’s age since we’ve been to a game together. Managed to get us incredible seats, too.”

Narcissa glanced at him. "I couldn't expect someone like you to understand." Narcissa didn't have a high opinion of Greyback and his kind. Why would she? And it was clear that the feeling was mutual on his end. "But for your information, I happen to care for Lucius." She glanced at him. "I don't know what it is that you do in your spare time. You very well may have a woman somewhere but who am I to presume?"
"Is that why you're trying so hard to change to a Malfoy? Or is it their utter lack of spine and overabundance of slime you find more appealing?" Working, right. What was it their lot did, anyway? Schmooze with people richer and more powerful than themselves, hope for the scraps they left behind? He didn't have high opinions on scavengers. "Hypothetical. That's funny." He bared his teeth in a grin, just shy of friendly. "But yes, they would be so lucky."

Where: Malfoy Manor Ballroom When: Post-Wedding Reception Who: Open
Lucius had experienced his fair share of overwhelming days in his life. His father forcing him to meet the Dark Lord for the first time at a mere fifteen years old, being permanently branded in the presence of at least a dozen seedy strangers, and the day the war had officially ended all stuck out to him.
This day, however, did not fall into that same category. Overwhelming it may be, he conceded, eyeing the sheer number of people in Malfoy Manor's main ballroom, but there was no lingering unease from today's events. No, it was his wedding day, and his mood had never been lighter. His gaze immediately found Narcissa—an absolute vision in white, though he never doubted it—over to the west side of the room, engaged in a conversation with his own father, whose demeanor surprisingly seemed to match his own. He supposed it wasn't too shocking; Abraxas had only managed to negotiate one of the most affluent Pureblood weddings of the decade. A Malfoy and a Black joining together was no small feat, which was why his vision was flooded with dress robes and silks of every design. The present journalists would have a fashion field day on the notable guests in their next respective issues.
With a tiny pop, a glass goblet appeared in his hand, filled close to the brim with elven wine. It was from the 1958 bottle in their cellars, he knew, but he hadn't seen which house elf had given him the drink. Turning his head to look behind him, his elbow went out a bit too wide, nudging the person next to him. In any other event, he wouldn't have cared, but he'd blame his next actions on his pleasant mood. "Ah, my mistake." He cleared his throat, bringing the goblet up to this lips for a small sip. Merlin, elven wine was always so strong. "Narcissa and I extend our gratitude for your presence today," he spoke in a rehearsed tone, having said the same sentence no less than fifty times in the last few hours, eyes finally meeting the person next to him.

When: Malfoy-Black Wedding (Evening) Where: Malfoy Manner - Ballroom With: Open to all!
The wedding was, well, smaller than he’d expected, but then Greecian weddings were events unto themselves. Nevertheless, Xanthos ensured an entrance was made, flying to the manner upon his winged-horse and dismounting in his blood-red dress robes. He turned to nuzzle the beast’s head with affection before whispering in its ear and sending it flying off again; it would return when he had need.
From there, the ceremony was bland, but well executed and the afterparty felt much the same. Still he laughed, socialised and drank with those of Rabastan’s circle and wondered if the evening would grow more lively as the night wore on. “I wonder,” he said, voice rich and deep as he turned to the nearest person, red wine in hand, “Do all remained so well behaved all evening or will there be some true revelry before the night is through?”

The Firefly Festival; A night of celebration
written by Lu Talkalot
It's finally time for us to celebrate the start of summer by welcoming all of the beautiful plants and creatures that come with it! After last year's first Firefly Festival was a booming success we expect this year to be no different, and with all the unpleasantness of the past put behind us i'm sure we can all use an excuse to celebrate! The Firefly Festival will be taking place this Friday, June 21st in Lighting Meadow, located just south of the town of Hogsmeade. There will be an assortment of local businesses with stands selling goods and refreshments set up around the meadow, and various activities available throughout the grounds for the whole family to enjoy which will include: glow in the dark body painting, stations where you can decorate your own magically floating paper lanterns ahead of the nighttime ceremony on the hill, a bug catching scavenger hunt which will take you all around the meadow, and more!
Once the sun has set, there will be adult-only areas made available where older festival goers will be allowed to drink and partake in more mature activities as they please. Like last year, guests are encouraged to wear the brightest, most colorful clothing they possibly can. I know I personally never miss an opportunity to dress up, myself! The glowing memorabilia and various light up items available at all merchandise stands will come in handy for anyone who might not have any shiny clothing on hand. For anyone who wants to get really creative, there will be a best dressed contest and the winner will receive ten galleons plus a piece of merchandise of their choosing from any of the glowing memorabilia stands.
At midnight everyone will gather together at the top of Lighting Hill to celebrate the blooming of the firefly petunias, and the wakening of the lighting bugs that comes with it! Once all the lighting bugs are out we'll release our lanterns into the air with them to help light up the night around us. I do hope to see you there readers, if you happen to see me feel welcome to come and say hello! And as always, be sure to take a peek at the next edition of The Prophet for any further news or updates.
Though ic the event is a one night thing, ooc the event will be open June 21st- July 5th. You may post open and closed starters for the event during this time, as well as outfits your characters may be wearing, any glowing body paint they may have gotten, or lanterns they may have decorated. Threads can take place wandering the stands, partaking in activities, or if your character is working at a booth that is more than welcome. We encourage you all to get creative and have fun! To participate in the best dressed contest, simply post your character's outfit with the tag grimmhq;firefest so we can see and appreciate them all. The winner will be chosen via rng and announced later. Firefly petunias: Bioluminescent flowers whose first bloom wakes the lighting bugs and calls them out for the summer. Lighting bugs: A species of magical firefly that flicker between various colors along with lighting up.

As the match went on it seemed that more and more people were streaming in and things were getting more and more crowded. The drinks had been flowing for quite a while, and Narcissa was almost ready to find Lucius and demand that he take her home. How dare he bring her to this place only to ditch her. Her mother was going to be less than impressed when she heard. Druella had been against her going in the first place.
Narcissa didn't notice her cousin until he had bumped into her. "Excuse me," she snapped, but she nearly froze when he spoke. Sirius. How long had it been since she had last seen him? She had long stopped keeping track. Narrowing her eyes she ignored his outstretched hands and straightened up, fixing her cloak. "Clearly," she snapped.
It was a good day. The sun was warm on his arms, exposed by the Harpies jersey he'd ripped the sleeves off of, his enchanted mug kept the butterbeer cool, and his spirits flew as high as the quaffle. This was the type of thing Sirius thrived off of - the type of thing he lived for. Especially now that they were free. He couldn't help but laugh, his smile wide and unfaltering.
He took a sip of his drink, tilting his head back to get the last drop, and bumped into someone. “Oh!” He stumbled a little. “Sorry, darlin’.” He started, before even seeing who it was. He put his hands out in an attempt to help. “Didn't see you there.”

When: Lucissa wedding reception Where: the ballroom Who: Narcissa & Open
Narcissa didn't think that she had ever felt peace until this moment. She had watched as the ink dried on the marriage certificate and she had known that for better or worse, she and Lucius were married. Together they could weather whatever was thrown towards them. Suddenly she didn't care so much about what her mother had been fussing about as they got ready, she didn't care about who was at the wedding.
All she cared about was that Lucius was her husband. She could be happy. There was a slight twinge when she thought of the people that were no longer a part of her life that she had always thought would be standing by her side but none of it mattered. She was married.
A glass of champagne in her lips, she surveyed the dance floor and locked eyes with Lucius across the room. She lifted her glass in acknowledgement before someone stepped into her line of vision.
"Thank you so much for coming! I'm so glad that you could share this day with us."
