Hers are the warm houses, the gentle hearthfires, and the caretakers who stoked them, breathing comfort and safety into a well-loved home.

His are the lost, alone and forgotten, those who need a patron to watch over them, and keep them safe.

Hers are the homely, the loved, the enchanted. Those who built homes from houses and weaved safety and love into their magics.

Pray to him for solace, safety and aid. Pray to her for comfort, magic and a place to call “home.”

Pray to them both, if you will, for they will hear your call, and they will always answer.

It’s Aurelio. His body, anyway. But it’s wrong. It’s broken, mangled, its limbs twisted and bent in all the wrong ways. Its skin is covered in lacerations and bruises. It has a cold pallor that makes it look more like a corpse than a man. Its bones crack and grind with every movement, but it stands.

And it glares at her with blackened eyes. Its voice is strained, forced through a damaged throat, “And what are you supposed to be?”

A mug shows up on Lio's bed, inside is a packet of instant coffee. "Happy Birthday!" reads the sticker on the coffee, in handwriting that Lio will have remembered from a year of knowing her.

Aurelio cracks a fond little smile at the note, and he takes the mug to the kitchen to make himself a coffee.

A quick flash of TV static--his trademark intro effect--and the video player fades to a rather handsome young man, looking at the camera with a playful smile. “Hey Demons,” he addresses his fanbase with that affectionate nickname of his, “It’s your boy, Lio. Aaaaand, before I get started on the song, I wanted to address a... little thing that’s been going around,”

“So, I’ve been seeing rumors and theories and stuff all over Tumblr, Twitter and the like, about,” he chuckles, “Me seeing ‘a certain someone?’“ he says with a hint of amusement and surprise. He shrugs and laughs it off. 

“Alright, alright, I don’t know where ya’ll got that idea,” he rolls his eyes, “And with the host of Realm 96.4? Some of you come up with the silliest things,” he scoffs at the ridiculous notion, a jovial smile decorating his face. He wrings his hands, looking into the camera intently, “Buuut, y’know, those of you who thought of that: What are you, stalkin’ me?” 

He doesn’t seem to mind. “Well, whatever the case, I’ve still got a song to play for you. So...” he glances around. Was he looking for something? “Where the hell is my...” he mumbles.

A chipper voice comes from the side, “Here you go,” and a lithe pair of hands pass the singer a well-used guitar with comical speed. 

Aurelio takes it with a grateful smile. “Thanks love,” there’s a giddy look in his smile, and a girl (that several viewers recognized as the host of a local radio station) leans in from the side of the frame to plant a tender kiss on his lips. She turns to the camera, giggly and smiling, and gives the audience a playful wave before leaving behind the camera. 

Aurelio watches her go with bright eyes, and once she’s gone, he gives the audience a cheeky grin.

He winks, “So, here’s The Gray Witch,” and he plays his new song.

((Anyways since I’m not creative I’ve made a version of Lio for @greywitchsuggestions‘ Radio Host!AU

Lio is an aspiring musician, and he maintains a YouTube channel where he posts covers of various songs, mostly punk rock, but also a few acoustic things. He’s also released a few original songs, but he posts more covers than original compositions. 

He plays the guitar, bass and drums (definitely influenced by DIY punk shit) and does vocals. He normally plays all the parts in a song himself and edits them all together into one clip. His vocal style is probably something like Emily Armstrong’s from Dead Sara, if you wanna look them up (I’m specifically thinking of their cover of Heart-Shaped Box). He’s also known for using audio distortion effects to give his instrumentals and vocals unique sounds, like older rock artists. 

Oh, also, Aurelio isn’t a demon hunter in this AU, but he did take one or two self-defense or fighting classes, and “Azazel” is the username of an internet friend of Aurelio’s, whom Lio has never met, but talks to them about pretty much everything. 

Anyway, Lio first met Annie in a coffee shop, after Annie saw him and probably struck up a conversation with him because she thought he was cute. Then she recognized him from his YouTube channel, came out as a fan and extended an invitation for him to appear on her show, which, after a few weeks of panicked deliberation, Lio accepted, giving him a little more publicity. The two of them dated for a while, but eventually Annie felt that the relationship wasn’t going well for them and they decided to break up. 

Lio’s currently attending college, taking a lot of music classes. People on his YouTube channel are still complaining about the addition of indie pop music to his content.))
