Slate has variable surplus structure and cryptocrystalline structure, and its structure is plate-like structure. The rock that has no recrystallization is a metamorphic rock. The original rock is shale, mudstone, siltstone, or neutral tuff, which can be stripped into thin slices along the bedding direction. The color of the slate varies with the different minerals it contains.
