1) How old were you when you first starting writing fan-fiction?

Around 20, I think.

2) Do you prefer writing OC’s or reader inserts? Explain your answer.

Reader inserts, definitely. I don’t mind throwing OC’s in there if I need to, though. I really like reading reader inserts. I think it’s really fun and engaging to imagine yourself in a story.

3) What is your favorite genre to write for?

Super Heroes! Although I really adore fantasy. If I were to write a book, it would be fantasy.

4) If you had to delete one of your stories and never speak of it again, which would it be and why?

I’m… not sure. I s'pose it’d have to be One Mistake, simply because I think it’s worst piece.

5) When is your preferred time to write?

Whenever I actually find the motivation to write, which usually ends up being around 1-4 am. Aka I’m a Mess: Part 1

6) Where do you take your inspiration from?

Have you seen this man?

I suppose I also draw inspiration from comics, movies, TV shows, and video games where applicable.

7) In your Winter’s War Series, what’s your favorite scene that you wrote?

Out of the entire trilogy? Dang, that’s tough. Maybe in Ghosts of War when Bucky, Reader, and Nat are sitting together, sort of like some messed up little family? If not that, then it’s probably in Winter’s War when Reader, Steve, and Bucky reunite after the Azzano goes up in flames.

8) Have you ever amended a story due to criticisms you’ve received after posting it?

I don’t think I’ve ever received “criticism.” I’ve received very polite corrections of some of the German in WW from some native speakers, but that’s about it (I haven’t corrected any of it yet because I’m a lazy pos).

9) Who is your favorite character to write for? Why?

Bucky Barnes. Because he’s Bucky Barnes.

10) Who is your least favorite character to write for? Why?

I don’t really write characters that I don’t like. Even villains are fun to write, even if I hate them. If I had to choose, I guess it’d be Ashley Williams, from the Mass Effect series. I’ve only written her once, but she’s a damned space racist and I hate her, even if I didn’t hate writing her.

11) How did you come up with the title for the Winter’s War Series?

Winter’s War was named with the final scene of the first book in mind, as well as what reader and Bucky would be turned into for the second book; Winter Soldier(s), and the war that led them to being created. And because they “die” in the snow and ice. Ghosts of War because that’s what Reader and Bucky are in the second book. Ghosts. Shells of themselves. War torn and weary. Weapons. War of Attrition because, in the third book, they fight tooth and nail for every scrap of memory, personality, humanity, and they don’t always win. They’re going to hit a lot of roadblocks, mostly in the form of other humans, their past and their guilt, and sometimes each other.

12) How did you come up with the idea for Winter’s War Series?

I always liked the thought of a Bucky x Reader series where they both ended up as Winter Soldiers. Everything kind of grew from that. It follows very closely to the canon, so everything was trying to figure out the most believable way to weave a reader character into the existing story.

13) Do you have any abandoned WIP’s? What made you abandon them?

“Abandoned” is a strong word…. *stares guiltily at The Way I Do and Two of a Kind.* I just haven’t found the inspiration to write them recently, but I do plan on finishing them… eventually.

14) Are there any stories that you’ve written that you’d really love to do a sequel to?

I plan on doing a second part for A Night to Remember when October rolls around. I also plan on adding more monster!Bucky’s to The Monster Series. My other series are complete or in progress and I don’t plan to add more to them (except to finish them in the case of the WIPs).

15) Are there any stories that you wished you’d ended differently?

I don’t think so, no.

16) Tell me about another writer(s) who you admire? What is it about them that you admire?

@angryschnauzer​ writes absolutely divine smut. I absolutely hate writing smut, so I wish I had her skills. There are others, but she’s the first one that came to mind. If I listed out every single author on here that I admire and why I admire them, we’d be here for another ten paragraphs!

17) Do you have a story that you look back on and cringe when you reread it?

I only started writing back in August. Anything written before that’s been lost to the Great Laptop Death of 2017. So, luckily, most of my writing is relatively recent and cringe-free.

18) Do you prefer listening to music when you’re writing or do you need silence?

I prefer listening to music (I love loud music and hate silence), but it’s distracting. My brain sometimes can’t process correctly so it tries to write the words I’m hearing instead of what I actually want to write. RIP me and my stupid brain. Aka I’m a Hot Mess: Part 2.

19) Have you ever cried whilst writing a story?

Haha. No. I’m dead inside. I very rarely (if ever) cry when reading, too.

20) Which part of your Winter’s War Series was the hardest to write?

Oh god the entire Agents of SHIELD part of War of Attrition. That show is so dense and woven so intricately into the MCU that it was difficult as hell to figure out where to put the reader so that it’d be relevant and set up for the next parts of the story. I love that show, but it was so hard *sobbing*.

21) Do you make a general outline for your stories or do you just go with the flow?

I almost never make outlines. WoA has been the exception because, as stated above, the content was way denser and I needed a clear path to be able to write them from point A to point B. That being said, I’ve only gotten as far as just after AoU. I haven’t decided what to do with Civil War or Infinity War yet.

22) What is something you wished you’d known before you started posting fan-fiction?

A) How Tumblr worked and B) that it’s a terrible, terrible site with horrible coding that, if it were a person, I would shoot as a mercy. Other than that, I read a lot of fics on here before I started posting some myself, which meant I had a pretty good idea of how to format it to be reader-friendly. Still had to google a lot of stuff, though.

23) Do you have a story that you feel doesn’t get as much love as you’d like?

Hmmm. I’m lucky in that I think I have a lot of readers/followers who leave lots of likes/comments/reblogs, but if I had to choose one? I think it’d be my recent Steve x Reader fic, Promise.

24) In contrast to 23 is there a story which gets lots of love which you kinda eye roll at?

Oh god. Again, I’m grateful for every like, comment, and reblog I get, but By Chance. It’s by far my most popular one shot at a staggering 1,925 notes. I like the a/b/o verse, but I posted it pretty early on in my writing career and it skyrocketed which completely blindsided me. The same thing kinda happened with Dumped, Drunk, and Angry. I wrote a one shot in a day or two because inspiration hit me like a freight train, and somehow they’re both over a thousand notes now.

25) Are any of your characters based on real people?

I s'pose Reader is always based off of me, just a little bit? Every other character (except the rare OC) has an established personality, but if I made reader a completely faceless, bland being it wouldn’t be that fun to read, would it? So even though I’m always careful to never describe reader too much physically, s/he always ends up with at least some of my personality.

26) What’s the biggest compliment you’ve gotten?

Oh goodness, I don’t know. My readers are amazingly kind people. I get a lot of asks and comments saying very, very nice things all the time. I don’t think I could choose just one if I tried..

27) What’s the harshest criticism you’ve gotten?

I was told very politely I spelled some German words wrong/used the wrong German words.

28) Do you share your story ideas with anyone else or do you keep them close to your chest?

I word vomit on my real life friend sometimes if I’m really stuck. It’s not always super useful because she doesn’t follow/watch any MCU stuff. Mostly, ideas just bounce around in my head until one sticks.

29) Do people know you write fan-fiction?

Yeah, most of my real life friends know. The friend I mentioned above writes fanfic, just not for the MCU. The rest are big nerds, too, so they don’t judge me.

30) What’s your favorite minor character you’ve written?

I loved writing Ran Shen and Mila Hitzvig for The Bitter March arc in Ghosts of War. As far as OC’s go, Dean from my series Time is probably my favorite.

31) What spurs you on during the writing process?

Interest in the source material has a lot to do with it. For example, I was writing easily 4k+ words a day when I was writing about the events of Captain America: the Winter Soldier. Other than that, I wait for the urge to hit me… which sometimes means I don’t write for a few days and sometimes a week depending on what’s happening in real life.

32) What’s your favorite trope to write?

So far? Soulmate. A/B/O was also fun and I’ll probably write it again at some point.

33) Can you remember the first fic you read? What was it about?

Oh jesus, no. I have the worst memory ever. I’m lucky if I can remember things a week ago, much less years ago.

34) If you could write only angst, fluff or smut for the rest of your writing life, which would it be and why?

Uhh… Not smut, I know that much. But I have this bad habit where I can’t write fluff without some angst and vice versa? I don’t think I could deal with writing cotton candy fluff for the rest of my life, though. So…. angst, I guess? But I wouldn’t be happy about it.

Summary: A poisoned relationship leaves Thor and Loki in a different world; the journey has them different than they were before. The two of them will have to sort out their differences and build their relationship if they ever hope to return to normal. The antidote? Well, they might have to get physical.

This wasn't a fun experience, in fact, it was so incredibly bad that he'd run out of things to call it. First they get transported to some strange alter dimension with different gods, rules, and temperatures and now this?! Someone knocked on the door and he flung it open, glaring down at the green-and-black clad figure standing there. Sparks literally flew from around him, lightning drawing up within him - which, he decided, wasn't a bad feeling, if a little unwanted.

“Hello, brother…”

It was weird hearing his own voice from the perspective of another, “So help me, Thor, the next words out of your mouth better be 'Sorry’ and 'Here’s the antidote.’ Understand?”

The figure that was not Thor but also was Thor looked down for a moment and then back up, “I'm not happy about it either!”

Loki growled loudly and turned away from the door, pinching the brow of his (well, not his) nose. Ysmir this was confusing!

“Huir vin?” A small voice spoke up, light but full of regal authority. Loki turned back, eyes locking on the figure of an ellith, that's what they called themselves, the females. These weren't the elves of their Alfheim, they were different elves with different names and much different customs. The queen had long hair of copper fire, she was shapely and beautiful, but all elves of this world were fair, he supposed. Her dress was finely made, a light gown with a cloak made to look like the night sky, full of stars; the contrast of the dark sky and her white skin complimented her well. Her eyes sparkled mischievously and were he not currently inhabiting the body of his (adoptive) brother, he might have appreciated it more.

“You brought a guest.” Thor gave him a cutting look that Loki did appreciate, glad to know that his face did look good when he did that.

“This is Queen Laerwen, daughter of the spring. She can help us.” Loki raised a brow, almost positive that something between their language and Allspeak was lost.

“How do you know she can help us?”

“Don't be rude.”

Loki placed a hand on his chest in offense, “Me? I'm never rude!”

Thor did the firm stance he was known for in Loki's body and it very much did not have the same effect, “Quiet!”

Laerwen waited for them to finish before speaking, “I see a bit of ill luck has befallen the two of you, your feär appear to be in the wrong places.”

Loki resisted the urge the say something snarky, “And can you replace them?”

Laerwen smiled softly, shaking her head, “Oh no, I cannot place your feär back in their right places. Only you can do that. I can help you facilitate the transaction.”

Normally Thor was the one who was quick to jump to rash decisions, but it was Loki who quickly and firmly said, “Now.”

Thor looked genuinely concerned for a moment but brushed it aside, “Ahem, how will this be done, exactly?”

“To understand that, you will need to understand the nature of the feä and how it works. You may wish to take a seat.”

Loki took a breath to calm himself, something about Thor's body really irritated him. Maybe it was his big hands, or his golden hair, or the way lightning seemed to rush through every vein and he could hear thunder in his chest, ready to do his bidding. Thor's body was so attuned with strength and absolutely all of it drove him nuts. He wasn't used to being thrown off his guard like this, normally he'd be the one in charge of his form change and this was decidedly not that. Thor, however, didn't seem to be having any trouble with his body and that made him a little more irritable than he already was.

Laerwen kindly gestured to an adjacent room that he hadn't had the time or obligation to explore thusly and walked into herself. With no choice, the brothers followed and took seats in the well-made, comfy chairs that did nothing to put Loki at ease. Thor put a reassuring hand on his shoulder, squeezing a little as if he could sense Loki's turmoil.

Loki brushed the hand away, “It's your fault we're in this mess.” He hissed softly.

“Are you ready?” Laerwen asked, eyes alight with amusement.

Thor responded, “Yes.” at the same time, Loki responded, “Get on with it.” Thor threw a glare that Loki missed.

Graciously, the queen ignored the rude remark, “Feär are your starlight. They are you, they have existed for far longer than the shells they house themselves in, and will exist after those shells are broken. Feä exist as much on a physical level as a magical and spiritual one. Feä are not known to make mistakes, nor “switch” as yours have, but things happen. I believe your brother said--.”

“That he was a massive idiot? That he intentionally threw us into an unknown portal with no inkling of where it might take us?!” Loki snapped.

“Brother, enough! It was better than letting us get killed! Let her speak. You are disrespecting a Queen! One who has not only taken us in but is also going to help us fix our problem!” Thor said harshly,

Loki snarled at him, getting up. “I have never been known to be very respectful of royalty, brother.” Venom was poured into his words and were it not for an extreme cold rush that ran over the both of them, they might have continued to argue.

“What did I miss?” The form of a man appeared in the window, eyes still glowing from blowing a wash of icy flame into the room.

“Merely the bickering of feä, melethron.” Laerwen replied easily, “This is my King, Calenguard, son of the leaves, not that the title means anything to you, Loki of Jotunheim.” She smirked and Loki straightened his back, smoothed his tunic, and sat down.

-Now he was positive something was lost in translation.-

The cold had brought him back to his senses, the only way to fix this was to get the antidote from these(?) Elves(?). He wasn't so sure what the male was, he didn't look like any dragon he'd ever seen. He was tall, taller than Thor most likely, broad but not quite as thickly muscled. His face held the same fine features that elves possessed but his eyes were neither one color nor another, sometimes turning to slits when the light hit just right. His waterline was ringed in black, and there seemed to be pale silver-green scales around his eyes, more visible around his ears which, while pointed, had a different angle than the other elves. His hair was long and silver blond melting into a soft forest green, his eyebrows following suit.

“Bickering feä, you say? That reminds me of us, Mîr nin.” The dragon elf breathed, his throat glowing silver as tiny snowflakes came out of his mouth.

“As I was going to say, your brother told me you two have been in a bit of a disagreement. In which case the two of you are having a very special moment with your feär.” Laerwen continued, the king at her side bringing the temperature in the room down several degrees simply by being there.

“Because of our disagreement, the feär have made a special mistake?” Loki asked, hoping this wasn't going where he thought it was going.

“It's not a mistake at all. The two of you have poisoned yourselves with malcontent, your “antidote” must be the resolution of these emotions.”

Loki facepalmed, “We've tried, for centuries…”

“Then might I suggest a different tactic?” Calenguard spoke up, continuing when he was met with silence, “Your feär have forced you into each other's shoes. This would be an excellent time to get to know each other's strengths and weaknesses. Train against one another, let your emotions out physically until your bare the root of your problem.”

“You might find it smaller than you know.” Laerwen finished, standing to join her king. “There is a doorway here, and beyond it, a small clearing with walls and some trees. Use it for your training, it is private.”

She gestured to the door, partially hidden in the design of the wall, and then said goodbye to each of them along with a sincere gesture that she hoped they worked it out.

Privately, in their own rooms, the king and queen shared a glass of wine. “Do you think the problem is..îr?” Laerwen asked with a knowing look.

Calenguard openly laughed, “Almost entirely. As was our own.”

Laerwen frowned a bit, “I was never so difficult.”

“Mmhmmm.”

“Did they just...tell us to fight it out?” Loki looked at Thor, then at the door, then back at Thor.

“...maybe?”

Sorry I’m newish to Tumblr and I have next to no idea how to do many things on here and hopefully I’ll learn as I go but I wanted to say that when I woke up this morning I was so overwhelmed with joy at the amount of feedback my Beau and Beast story got. if you follow me on main or you're in the unlucky position to know me in real life, you'll know i absolutely lost my mind after watching this shitshow of a movie. i'll have you know that i really tried to give it some credit, but it just. it makes so little sense. why is the so-called antagonist the only character with actual sound motivation and character traits i'm gonna scream. anyway.

this is the fic that reminded me that fanfic writers can create something magnificent even from the strangest of source materials. it retroactively made me like the film a little more just because i can now pretend this is what happens afterwards. it helped me make piece with those two hours of my life i won't get back.
