Note
Do you know what the bow on her collar is for? I remember seeing it on her yellow dress last year at the men’s finals. But don’t recall it in other years. Unless her hair was covering it.
it is a Wimbledon bow/pin.. she started wearing it after she became Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club ie the Wimbledon Championships
if you look at the Wimbledon logo, it's the official colors, green and purple
this is Philip Brook, the Chairman of Wimbledon wearing both the tie and pin

Kate Middleton and Prince William flanked Prince George as the young royal made his Wimbledon debut on Sunday.
Their first-born son, who turns 9 later this month, surprised tennis fans as he appeared in the Royal Box with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for Day 14 of the spectacular sporting event.
Prince George wore a smart suit and was seen making animated facial expressions as he watched the action, while Kate and William looked at their boy.
The proud parents, who attended the annual matches regularly, appeared to share personal moments with George during the game.
The family stepped out at the London tennis tournament to watch the final between Nick Kyrgios and Novak Djokovic, just one day after Kate was in attendance to see the winner.
After Djokovic won the 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 on Sunday afternoon, he allowed the youngster to hold the coveted trophy. "Don't drop it," Prince William laughed. After some time touching the prize Djokovic had kissed earlier, Kate carefully relieved Prince George of his duties and returned it to the champion.
Kate showed her love of polka dresses on Sunday. She wore a navy blue and white frock to cheer on the players. With his jacket, William wore a light blue shirt.
Kate is a patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club and typically watches matches from the Royal Box.
This marks their second appearance at Wimbledon this year. On Tuesday, they got animated as they watched the singles quarterfinal match between Novak Djokovic of Serbia and Jannik Sinner of Italy, as well as Cameron Norrie take on David Goffin of Belgium.
Carole and Michael Middleton, two familiar faces in the audience, were also acknowledged by Kate. Seated a few rows back, sweetly blew them a kiss and waved as she took her front-row seat.
The finishing touch on the outfit was an exclusive accessory: the green and purple bow tie pin, signifying her status as a patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club.
The official colours are dark green and purple, and only a few people--the president, the management committee, vice presidents, and four executive staff members—are allowed to wear the bow.

Yes, Kate Middleton Has Mini Tennis Players All Over Her Dress - How Delightful Is That?
Kate Middleton teamed up with Wimbledon champion Andy Murray to surprise young tennis fans at Bond Primary School in Mitcham, south London, via video call. The duchess chose the perfect outfit, as she so often does, for the occasion: a spunky HVN shirtdress with a retro tennis-player print all over it. Though we could only catch a glimpse at the top half of her look, it was enough to know Kate had, in fact, pulled out all the stops for her brief appearance. She tied back her hair and even accessorized with her green gemstone drop Monica Vinader Siren earrings, which retail for $175 and matched just right with the emerald shade of her dress.
Even though Wimbledon will not take place this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Kate used this opportunity to proudly display her green-and-purple bow pin, which represents her role as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, an honor passed down by Queen Elizabeth II. Scroll through to watch the video of Kate introducing Andy to a group of excited students, then see where you can still shop her adorable dress before it sells out, and browse inspired pieces we found that will help you get the look if you're a tennis fan with a quirky sense of style.

Prince William and Duchess Kate couldn’t have looked more in love as they watched the thrilling men’s final at Wimbledon on Sunday. Just days after their third child, Prince Louis’ christening, the royal duo stepped out, sans children, as Novak Djokovic took on Kevin Anderson in the tennis championships.
The keen sport fans were in high spirits as they sat in the Royal Box alongside Prime Minister Theresa May.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s sunny disposition was reflected in her gorgeous canary yellow Dolce & Gabbana dress, which boasted mid-length silhouette and fluted sleeve detail. The 36-year-old’s signature blow-dry was as bouncy and glossy as ever.

Prince William and Kate walked to their seats in the Royal Box on Sunday ahead of the men’s final at Wimbledon.
The Duchess was also spotted sporting an interesting accessory, a forest green and purple bow pinned to her dress below her left shoulder. The brooch has a special significance to Kate, who is a patron of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, an honour passed on to her by the Queen.
It’s a role Kate takes very seriously — and seemingly great pleasure in — and it shows as she proudly wears the brooch every time she attends the tennis tournament.
The bow is worn by all female members of the club, while male members often wear a tie in the same colours.

All smiles from the get-go, the parents enjoyed a day out together.
Despite welcoming a new born to their young family just 12 weeks ago, Kate and William appeared very relaxed.
The couple clearly enjoyed themselves as they chatted and laughed throughout the match, which saw Djokovic beat out Anderson in straight sets.
Kate, who is a patron of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, was pictured tossing her perfect waves back in the air as she chuckled heartily at something her husband said.

This is pure joy!
Prince William also stepped up the style stakes for the prestigious event. He looked dashing in a faint tartan print grey suit and navy-blue tie, and navy pants.
Tumblr media
How dapper! Wills is anything but a daggy dad.

No parenting duties for these two today!
This was the Duchess’ second day in a row at the tennis tournament. On Saturday, she was joined by her sister-in-law the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan, for the women’s singles final.
The Duchess’ day out was their first solo engagement together without their partners, and it was a great opportunity for royal watchers to observe their close bond.
The stylish royals stunned in beautifully coordinated outfits of blue and white, Meghan in stripes and Kate in polka dots. Meghan wore a striped button-down shirt with white wide-leg trousers, both by Ralph Lauren, and paired the look with a wide-brim Panama hat, while Kate wore a a summery white and navy spotted dress which cinched in at the waist.

Kate Middleton is back for some more tennis thrills — alongside Tom Cruise!
The Duchess of Cambridge returned to Wimbledon on Saturday for the finals between Ons Jabeur and Elena Rybakina, where she was seated a few rows in front of the Top Gun: Maverick star.
Kate is an All England Lawn Tennis Club steward and frequently attends matches from the Royal Box.
The British royal wore a bright yellow dress for the daytime outing, which she accessorized with a pair of expensive sunglasses. Meanwhile, Cruise looked sharp in a blue suit and white dress shirt, which he accessorized with a light blue tie.
During the match, Rybakina won her first Grand Slam title and lifted the Venus Rosewater dish at Wimbledon after beating Jabeur.
Kate previously attended the women's final last year, where she presented winner Ashleigh Barty of Australia with the trophy.
It will be an exciting weekend for Kate as she plans to return to Wimbledon on Sunday with Prince William to see the finals for the men.
The mother of three made her 2022 debut at the tennis tournament on Tuesday alongside Prince William. The two got animated at points as they watched the singles quarterfinal match between Novak Djokovic of Serbia and Jannik Sinner of Italy, as well as Cameron Norrie take on David Goffin of Belgium.
Carole and Michael Middleton, two familiar faces in the audience, were also acknowledged by Kate. Seated a few rows back, sweetly blew them a kiss and waved as she took her front-row seat.
Kate wore a blue and white polka dot belted dress by Alessandra Rich, which she previously wore to a Jubilee Big Lunch event just last month. The recycled ensemble was likely a nod to the sustainable theme at the prestigious tennis tournament.
This year, Ralph Lauren redesigned the uniforms for chair umpires, line umpires, and ball boys and girls in partnership with the All England Lawn Tennis Club to embrace more sustainable and innovative fabrics using recycled materials.
Kate accessorized her outfit with a few more recycled items from her royal closet, including her Finlay Henrietta sunglasses, recently worn on tour in the Bahamas, and her Mulberry Amberley bag in white, which she has used numerous times before.
And the finishing touch was a green and purple bow tie pin, signifying her status as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club. The official colors are dark green and purple, and only a few select people—including the president, the committee of management, vice presidents, and four executive staff members—are permitted to wear the bow.

On Tuesday, Kate Middleton dazzled in a blue polka dot tea dress at Wimbledon, a chic yet meaningful choice.
The blue and white polka dot belted dress by Alessandra Rich, which she wore to a Jubilee Big Lunch event just last month, was most likely a nod to the sustainable theme.
In collaboration with The All England Lawn Tennis Club, Ralph Lauren redesigned the uniforms for chair umpires and line umpires to embrace more sustainable and innovative fabrics made from recycled materials.
Evian, Wimbledon's official water sponsor for the past 14 years, is also encouraging eco-conscious attire in their VIP suite, which has been certified as carbon neutral by the Carbon Trust this year.
Kate accessorized her look with a few more recycled items from her royal wardrobe, including her Finlay Henrietta sunglasses, which she recently wore on tour in the Bahamas, and her Mulberry Amberley bag in white, which she has previously used.
The finishing touch was a green and purple bow tie pin, which signified her patronage of the All England Lawn Tennis Club. The club's official colors are dark green and purple, and only a few people--the president, the management committee, vice presidents, and four members of executive staff — are allowed to wear the bow.
The Duchess of Cambridge is well-known for recycling previously worn clothing — sometimes even years apart! — and she also favors vintage items. Kate wore a 1950s dress from Willow Hilson Vintage during her Caribbean tour in March.
Kate and Prince William, both 40, sat in the royal box at Centre Court to watch Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic play Jannik Sinner in the men's quarter-finals.
Carole and Michael Middleton were also present on Tuesday. They were seated in the Royal Box to the left of the royal couple. The Duchess of Cambridge was seen kissing them as she and William took their seats.
The royal has been a regular at Wimbledon for many years, and she attended the tournament with her family before marrying Prince William.
