SW Characters x Greek Deities
↳ Shmi Skywalker x Maia
Maia was the oldest member of the Pleiades. The Pleiades were seven nymphs that made up the constellation of Pleiades. The name “Maia” translates to “nursing mother.”
Maia was a shy goddess, dwelling alone in a cave situated close to the peak of Mount Kyllene. When she was living in the cave, she gave birth to the god Hermes in secret. Hermes was the son she had following an affair with Zeus.
Maia was the daughter of Pleione and Atlas, though she referred to them as Pleias and Atlantas. Beyond the fact that she lived in a cave and raised both Hermes, not much is known about the life of this reclusive goddess.

SW Characters x Greek Deities
↳ Padme Amidala x Dike
In ancient Greek culture, Dike is the goddess of justice and the spirit of moral order and fair judgement based on immemorial custom, in the sense of socially enforced norms and conventional rules. She was one of the three Horai (Horae), goddesses of the seasons, and keepers of the gates of heaven. Her sisters were Eunomia (Good Order) and Eirene (Peace). Like her siblings, she probably also represented an aspect of springtime growth.

SW Characters x Greek Deities
↳ Satine Kryze x Irene/Eirene
Eirene (Irene) was the goddess of peace and the season of spring. She was one of the three Horai (Horae), deities of the seasons and keepers of the gates of heaven. Eirene's name is the Greek word for peace but it is also closely connected with the word for spring. In ancient Greece late spring was the traditional campaign season, the time when peace was most at risk.

SW CHARACTERS X GREEK DEITIES
↳ Sabine Wren x Iris
Iris was the goddess of the rainbow and the messenger of the Olympian gods. She was often described as the handmaiden and personal messenger of Hera. Iris was a goddess of sea and sky.
For the coastal-dwelling Greeks, the rainbow's arc was most often seen spanning the distance beteween cloud and sea, and so the goddess was believed to replenish the rain-clouds with water from the sea

f(x) aesthetics; greek goddesses 》Amber ⇢ Artemis
Artemis, in Greek religion, the goddess of wild animals, the hunt, and vegetation, and of chastity and childbirth. Artemis was the daughter of Zeus and Leto and the twin sister of Apollo. Among the rural populace, Artemis was the favourite goddess. Her character and function varied greatly from place to place, but, apparently, behind all forms lay the goddess of wild nature, who danced, usually accompanied by nymphs, in mountains, forests, and marshes. Artemis embodied the sportsman’s ideal, so besides killing game, she also protected it, especially the young; this was the Homeric significance of the title Mistress of Animals.
