Any questions along this strain will not be answered as I’ve gotten them very frequently in the past, or am just not comfortable answering them!

Can (X character) tickle/tease/flirt with me? (Alternatively: Can I tickle (X character)?)

Would they tickle you? Would they want to be tickled? Absolutely. You don’t even need to ask.

But I, an introverted artist behind a screen that doesn’t know you as a person, am not always comfortable indulging strangers on the internet. General questions about how they tickle their playmates are totally fine.

Can Kenni/Rags make people more ticklish?

Yep! They have magic that can temporarily make someone who isn’t ticklish at all as ticklish as they want. They also have ticklish healing magic!

What if someone doesn’t like being tickled? What would Kenni and Rags (or your other OCs) do?

Tbh I’m not really sure why so many people come onto a tickle blog and ask “but what if they don’t like tickles”? My characters don’t go after people who are legit terrified of being tickled. Most of my non-human OCs are empaths and mind-readers, after all. Otherwise, if there’s someone who wants to overcome their fear so they can get tickled, then my OCs would be careful not to push too far past someone’s boundaries. Rags usually sends Kenni their way first to soften them up, before he attempts his crazy antics to lighten their mood.

My story “Afraid to Laugh” is the best example of this. Not to toot my own horn, but I am still pretty proud of how it turned out.

Who is your most sadistic Ler?

Ragaeli, Shikhar and Mikhail are pretty tied. They’re just, sadistic in different ways. Rags really plays into the “stark-raving lunatic that will tickle you half into madness” archetype. Shikhar is 100% into Domming & BDSM-play; Mikhail’s a terrible tease and extremely greedy for laughter.

I totally ship Kenni & Rags, is this okay?

That’s fine by me, but, keep in mind that Rags is aromantic and neither one of them have any interest in settling down with anyone as a life partner. Their relationship really can’t be compared to a ‘traditional’ romantic relationship between humans. It’s more of like... A very strong bond/friendship & friendly rivalry that happens to get kinky sometimes. 

Does Mikhail have his body back?

I’ve gotten this one a surprising amount of times, and it honestly flatters me that I have followers that have been around that long to know this part of his lore/character motives. Buuut no, and I’ll probably never get around to writing him getting his body back. I might just... Magically make it canon someday, lmao

But I like the idea of a vampire ghost because there’s an overabundance of regular vamps out there already.

How would (X character with sensitive disposition) react to (X thing with fucked up themes)?

Can we... not do this, please? I’ve had to delete so many questions like this (mostly regarding “How would Kenni react to horror?”) I know some people thrive on creating angst for their OCs, but I personally get very uncomfortable thinking about purposefully exposing mine to something that I know would really upset them. 

Can (X character) comfort me/ give me advice? I’m having a rough time.

How would (X character) react to someone who has trauma? (Whether it be tickle-related or otherwise)

Again: Not a therapist’s office. My characters, who are literal gods and immortals, may be equipped to address things like PTSD, DID, BPD, trauma, etc. but I am not. That’s not what this blog is for. And I have my own share of mental illness to deal with. I also don’t want to accidentally spread any misinformation, nor do I want to indirectly put other people into a bad headspace reading about strangers’ trauma.

The reason I close my askbox in the first place is because I either want to catch up with what I currently have, or just don’t feel like accepting them at that time, and I would like you to respect that. Name:  Call me Coma, though my username is visceralcoma - do not refer to me as “visceral” thats not the “given” name part of my username. That’d be the “last/family” name part of my username. Ya dig? 

Fandoms: I have many and I don’t have them all listed on my fandoms page.  But the main ones I write for are Dragon Age, Cyberpunk 2077, Greedfall, Harry Potter, and MCU. My MCU stuff is under a different username on Ao3 because that fandom is.... a special kind of crazy, toxic, drama/wank filled. More so than Dragon Age and I am sooo not up for dealing with them on here.

Most popular multichapter:  That would be my Self Insert fic, By the Tits of My Ancestors. A Modern Character in Thedas fic that explores Kirkwall’s crime underbelly, specifically the Coterie and finds a connection between Caribbean mythos and Dwarven mythos of the Titans - all wrapped up in a tale of the MCIT finding her way in Kirkwall while trying not to mess up the timeline of the games and utterly and spectacularly failing at it.

Actual worst part of writing: oof... I would say...two things. First is the romance. Though my discord fam assures me that I write romance well. but I don’t get how given what I write is just people getting close in a platonic way with some sex/smut mixed in. I’m largely romance neutral (unsurprising given I’m aromantic), I don’t recognize things as immediately romantic - even in fiction (books/movies) I don’t really see the difference between doing those actions for a romantic partner and doing them for platonic friends. I... don’t get it.

Second is I absolutely hate hand waving. I will do everything in my power for there to be some sort of scientific reasoning/logic behind something - even if the reader never fully knows it or gets an exposition dump - but so long as I know it. And for magic, it HAS to have rules. Things cannot JUST happen because I need them to. And Magic is the worst thing for me to write because so many stories/media that have magic just... don’t have hard fast rules. Ya heard of Hard Science, well I like Hard Magic. There must be rules  and consequences for breaking the rules - to explain WHY there are rules.

How You Choose Your Titles: It’s a mixture of a pun, something funny, a latin phrase, an idiom that I’ve twisted, or just some... feature in the story I latched onto as the common theme or motivation of my protagonist.

Do you outline: Sometimes. I start with a very basic outline and a vain hope I’ll keep to a specific number of words for the whole piece or chapters but I never do. Outlines are really good for figuring out my heading (using sailing metaphors), in where I’m going. Even if it’s not my eventual destination. But it gives me somewhere to start.

Ideas I probably won’t get around to, but wouldn’t it be nice?  Too many... I could never list them because my greedy self will feel compelled to write and post more than 5 chapters of it, and never finish (as if I ever finish any multi chapter fic). I have folders upon folders of ideas half written, chapters started, dialogues mapped out, expositions dumped and worlds drafted. 

Callouts @ Me:  Learn to Finish a Fic!  Lol. thats about it. Everyone bemoans STARTING a story... but I will forever live in the purgatory of learning how to finish a story.

Best writing traits: My best writing traits, in my opinion is action. Its one of the things I find easiest to write - and most fun because I get up and act out the fuil sequence. Figure out how the body should move - whether a specific attack is even possible to happen after the prior.

Spicy Tangential Opinion:  If you intend to be a fanfic writer, do yourself a favor and never participate in fandom spaces beyond being just a writer. Or if you must... do so under a different username than your author name and keep them separate.  You’ll save yourself the headache of fanpol attacking you for whatever slight you made and then attracting hyper-critical haters to your works that will make you doubt and question your ability  or hold you up to whatever fool’s gold standard they have of “righteous” and “pure” topics you’re allowed to write about.

Q1 : If you could write your character your way in their own movie, what would it be called, what style would it be filmed in, and what would it be about?           A1 : The film would would pay homage and be reminiscent of the old spaghetti westerns (every Clint Eastwood flick), while also borrowing a lot of narrative themes from the Mad Max films. The plot centers around Aladar’s inception into the smuggling ring, encountering the varying underground factions and their politics, skirting dangerous rivals, choosing sides and betrayal that carves his niche in the black market dealings      

Q2 : What would their soundtrack/score sound like?           A2 : Almost exclusively acoustic instrumental scores and themes to establish the mood of every setting

Q3 : Why did you start writing this character?           A3 : Having roleplayed on WoW for most of my MMO tenure, I began noticing how stale everything became and there was nothing to revitalize my drive or inspiration. Then I began following a lot of FF blogs on tumblr which pushed me to finally try roleplaying a year after I began playing. It has been one of my best decision

Q5 : Describe the biggest thing you dislike about your muse. A5 : Again, the personality. It is difficult to engage Aladar in random RP because he makes for difficult interaction. I just cannot drop him in the middle of a scene without lots of pre-planning

It is time for that one controversial sexuality headcanon that gets me an inbox full of hate !

 :”D Makes a nervous noise - okay, please, put the pitchforks down & hear me out for a second please.

  The show gives us very little reference or hints on what murder carrot’s sexuality/romantic orientation status is. And that is a common theme with absolute villains tbh, especially those that aren’t supposed to come of as people you can empathize with. I feel like, even though Jerome was definitely painted out as a three-dimensional character and I don’t feel that Gotham’s writers ‘black-or-white’d him, sexuality is an important part of every character, thus I am going to attempt my best at laying down the headcanons I follow on this matter.

   Deep breath. Now, I know the popular way to go about this is brand him as asexual & aromantic, but hear me out, please. I personally am not asexual. But. I feel like it’s extremely offensive for asexual people to brand all the villain characters with no depicted love interests as asexual. I also feel like it’s offensive to brand every character that shows little to no interest in sex as asexual, because that’s not what being asexual is, as far as I know, at least. There is a difference between experiencing sexual attraction & interest, and I feel like this is a common misunderstanding in the LGBTQ+ that is reflected in such choices.

   Clearly Jerome had a concept of sexual attraction and may or may not have been able to experience it. He definitely hits on people & displays signs of promiscuity, which falls in line with his grandiose sense of self & hedonistic personality. Nothing hints to him being asexual. I get that for some ace writers headcanoning him as such counts as representation, but I personally feel that  representation should come from the show. Of course everyone is free to view him as they please, obviously, these are just my thoughts on the matter. I just don’t agree with it because I don’t agree with the general trend of branding villains of his kind as asexual. It feels a bit like ... implying that asexuality or being aromantic is linked to their ‘problematic’ behavior? And personally I don’t think being asexual or aromantic is problematic, I consider is just as valid as any other orientation so...yeah, I don’t like this concept.

   Either way, I headcanon Jerome as pansexual & demi-romantic ( in the grey area ). Both his sexuality & orientation are fluent and verse-dependent, as well as influenced by whether or not he has experienced death & resurrection. To elaborate:

  In his younger verses, his behavior is more promiscuous. He mainly prefers & will target women, because a good-looking woman would elevate his social status -due to the way society is structured ( I’m not saying I agree with this thinking, just that this is what drives his actions ) . His girlfriends are considered trophies. He is open to experimentation with guys, not really caring about labels or repercussions. His sexual behavior is careless, hedonistic, greedy, often sadistic. He does not form emotional connections save for VERY special occasions ( I won’t ever write these with NPCs, however, only shipping wise ) and even in those cases his criteria for ‘falling in love’ and his perception & experience of ‘love’ is very shallow. He generally only takes interest if there’s some sort of secondary gain. He brags about his sexual endeavors to his peers & is extremely superficial when it comes to anything of such nature. He is not above using his good looks to get what he wants.

  In his older verses, post death & resurrection, Jerome loses interest in things of sexual nature. Despite still referencing it and experiencing the attraction, he is more focused on wrecking havoc & plagued by an insufferable god complex. He is above sleeping with anyone from his cult, considering them to be beneath him. He will only experience attraction towards people who rile him up in very special & specific ways, exciting him with violence & such. Emotional connections may still be formed, but of course they will be sourced out of twisted fixation and NOT any genuinely empathetic or loving emotions. He is completely incapable of anything remotely tender at this point, but he is prone to becoming obsessed with characters that capture his interest. These obsessions may often include lust, but the intention to hurt the object of his fixation is always there. His criteria are less superficial, or about appearance, and instead shift more to character traits & personality.
