A Greece Guide, from someone who knew nothing until they got there
I've decided to make a list of things you should know about greece. Why? I don't even know at this point, but here I am.
The air is dry. (I've had five nosebleeds due to this)
DONT FLUSH THE TOILET PAPER! Throw it in the garbage can!
They use Type F wall plugs.
Drivers don't necessarily stop for pedestrians.
Restaurants will have the same sort of foods.(Souvlaki, Gyros, Pita, etc..)
Olympia, Kalampata (Meteora), Korinthos and that areas archeological sites will have English, Greek and German on signs, while the Athina, Delphi area will have English, Greek and French.
DO NOT FLUSH THE TOILET PAPER! Throw it in the trash, because Greece has not the best sewage!
Hellenistic is the worshipping of Greek Gods not some demon worship, also, not everyone is Hellenistic, most of the country is Christian Orthodox.
Visit in April to May, or September to October.
If you decide to visit Meteora, (The monasteries and nunneries in Kalampata) women/girls/female identifying need to have their knees covered by skirts, and shoulders covered. Men/boys/male identifying need knees covered (they probably prefer pants) and shoulders covered, if you don't fit into these gender norms, where whichever of the two you prefer.
I WILL NOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, DO NOT FLUSH THE TOILET PAPER! I don't care if its "gross" don't flush it! Its bad for the sewage!
Athina has high pickpocket rates, just so ya know.
Hotels and Airbnb's may look sketchy from the outside (Graffiti, worn buildings, crappy window & door trims) but they are probably very nice. (I know this from experience)
A lot of houses will look abandoned from the outside, they are probably nice.
Thank you for reading, anyone can add to this

I'm in Greece rn and something really silly happened to me today.
Some background first: We were going to an archeological site to look at some ruins and I really wasn't feeling up to it because I missed breakfast and as such I want sufficiently fueled for the small hike up (I barely made it through the museum, and that wasn't very long). My dad bought me an ice cream and some potato chips so I could get something to eat so I could join the rest of the tour group at the site. I wasn't allowed in with my ice cream since food wasn't allowed inside. While the rest of my group went in, my dad promising to come back to get me in a bit, I stayed by the entrance and finished my ice cream.
For those who don't know, Greece is FULL of stray cats. I saw a few roaming around while I finished up. I took a lot of pictures.
Here's where the funny thing happened. My dad came back to get me, and while I was standing up to meet him, I accidentally crinkled my bag of chips. Instantly, THREE. CATS. came RUNNING up to me, meowing and begging for snacks. They followed me all the way to the entrance 😂
It was so silly. I was giggling the entire time.
I plan on doodling this later. I'll post it when it's done.
