Black Angel - Part 7
Word Count: 415
A/N: Here you go guys, part 7 :)
Music: Turning Point - Apotheosis
The fighting continues for at least another few hours before anything of significance happens. Sebastian has given up fighting the demon’s leader, and moved on to more accomplishable goals. He’s mown through a few dozen demons, and continues to fight as if he just started. Slowly, the demons were beginning to lessen, their numbers to diminish while the army’s stayed more or less the same. The fighting began to slow, until eventually it stopped, and few demons were left standing, staring at the army in front of them. Among the few demons was the leader. He grins at Sebastian like he knows something that Sebastian doesn’t. And in fact, he does. We hear a faint rumble, and see in the distance a new, fresh army of demons. Sebastian turns to look at me, his eyes wide with horror. I could tell he was beginning to get tired, and so was I. We all start to run towards the oncoming slaughter, and we begin to kill demons left and right. But it seems as if for every one demon we kill, two take its place. Now our numbers seem to be decreasing rapidly, and nobody really knows what to do.
It seems as if we are bound to lose, when all of a sudden, all of our right palms start to glow. We look down, momentarily distracted, and see an intricate design burned into our hands. I feel a burst of energy surging through my body, stretching from the burn. I hear the seer’s voice inside my head. I did not count on there being so many demons, daughter of Severyn. My gift to you, to make sure you win. Atlas may have put that mark there, but he wasn’t the only one who could use it. So the seer gave us that last burst of energy we needed. She’s more helpful than she looks. After a few seconds of confusion, everybody bursts into action. We all move so fast, it looks as if demons are falling of their own accord. Within ten minutes, all but a few of the demons were left, the leader included in those that were living. The rest of the demons fled, but Sebastian walked confidently up to the demon leader, pulled out his knife, and stabbed him straight through the heart. I turned my back to survey the damage done.
“We should get out of here,” I hear Sebastian say. “A new wave of demons will be here pretty soon.”

Strawberries, Sunflowers, and Lemon Pie
Summary: Draco smells you, a Hufflepuff student’s, scent in Amortentia and realizes he’s in love with you. But not before he freaks out a little bit.
Word Count: 1.9k
Warnings: Swearing, OOC (soft boi Draco), mentions of food, and fluff
A/N: Thank you @brokengirl13002 for requesting this! I hope you like it and it’s super fluffy and cute and everything you could ever hope for lol xx.
Third Person POV
Draco huffed as he continued to stir his potion. He wasn’t sure if it was coming together perfectly, but as he added the next ingredient, his mouth turned up at the corners, feeling confident. ’Amortentia’ he scoffed to himself, ‘What a stupid potion. Who needs a love potion to make someone fall in love with them? Pathetic.’ As Draco continued to stir his potion evenly, he looked up to see his best friend Y/N, very obviously struggling with her potion. Whenever he saw Y/N, he felt his facial features soften, her clumsy tendencies lightening his mood – he supposed that’s why they were such good friends. His sharp personality was balanced out by her soft one, making a very cohesive relationship where each person was what the other wasn’t.
Once Draco added the very last ingredient and finished stirring his potion, he knew he’d executed the recipe perfectly. The mother-of-pearl sheen described in Advanced Potion Making was present in his potion, and the tendrils of steam rising from it were exactly as they should be. Suddenly a scent hit his nose. ‘Strawberries, sunflowers, and lemon pie’ he thought to himself. ‘Where do I recognize that scent from?’ He couldn’t put his finger on the smell – right up until he looked at Y/N again. ‘Shit…Y/N loves lemon pie…’ Draco opened his mouth to say something, then realized that would be a terrible idea. He had almost just inadvertently revealed what he smelled in the love potion. Draco slammed his potion book shut, grabbing Snape’s attention. Snape swished over towards his table, looking into his cauldron, and nodding appreciatively.
After taking a sample of the potion, Snape brusquely says “10 points to Slytherin. You may go, Mr. Malfoy.” Draco nods his head, relieved that he could escape to his dormitory for a few minutes to process the information he just discovered. Y/N tries to catch his eye while he quickly gathers up his supplies, but Draco studiously avoids her gaze, making Y/N feel a bit concerned. He rushes out of the dungeon, walking swiftly to the Slytherin common room before anybody can stop him. ‘When did I start feeling like this about Y/N?’ he wondered to himself, panic rising in his system. ‘What if she doesn’t feel the same? What if I ruin the friendship somehow?’ Draco could feel his blood pressure rising just thinking about the time the two of you spend together. He specifically remembers one perfect memory.
The two of you sitting by the black lake, studying together. Y/N was leaning against a tree, and Draco had his head in her lap. Y/N was running her fingers through Draco’s platinum blonde hair, massaging his scalp gently. Draco had felt his eyes get heavy, the sun shining in his face and warming his whole body. ‘No’ he thought to himself, interrupting himself mid-memory. ‘It wasn’t the sun that made me feel warm. It was Y/N’s smile. I know it. That’s when I fell in love with her, I suppose. In that moment.’ After thinking about the one perfect memory, Draco’s resolve hardened. He knew exactly what he was going to do, a confident smirk growing on his angular face. He continued walking through the castle, completely unaware that Y/N was about to crash into him.
Y/N’s POV
Watching Draco walk away from me, my heart sank a little bit. My best friend in the whole world had just walked away from me, clearly upset, and didn’t seem like he wanted anything to do to me. I swiftly dumped out my cauldron full of potion, too preoccupied to notice the faint scent of mint and green apples. As I packed up my supplies, finally having finished my potion about ten minutes after Draco, I hastily fled the dungeon and made my way towards the Hufflepuff common room. I was looking down at my feet, feeling self-conscious, when suddenly, I ran into something solid. I looked up and the first thing I saw were those beautiful light grey eyes. Draco. My breath hitched in my throat, confused as to why I would be so nervous around him all of a sudden. The smile on his face when he sees me makes my heart melt, my cheeks heating up, and then heating up even more once I realize I’m blushing at the thought of my best friend. ‘Oh my Merlin, I like him. Why did I have to realize this now? Ugh why does he look so cute?’
Draco takes a breath, obviously about to say something, his hands fidgeting with his tie. Merlin, he looked so attractive. His white-blonde hair was slightly tousled, like he’d run his hands through it absentmindedly, and his pale face had a beautiful flush to it, like he’d sprinted up a flight of stairs. My gaze dropped to his lips, pink and slightly parted as he searched for the right words. His face began to get more flushed, his hand rising up to his face as his tongue darted out between his lips, which were begging for moisture. You waited for him to speak, intrigued by what could possibly have him so flustered. Had you been talking out loud to yourself about how cute you thought he was? There was no way, he would’ve had some snarky comment to say to you.
“Draco, what is it?” you ask impatiently. You could see him getting more flustered by the minute, and you had to be honest, you were kind of enjoying it. Were you the reason he was getting flustered? Suddenly, the puzzle pieces clicked in your head. Draco smelled me in the Amortentia. You blushed, realizing he was trying to ask you on a date.
“I was…just going to ask how you think that potion went for you?” Draco finally asked, lamely. Clearly that had not been what he intended to ask. You smirked in response.
“Dray, you know I’m terrible at potions. I’ll be lucky if I pass the class. I’m going to go drop my books in my room and then we’ll go down to dinner, okay?” Draco nodded, looking relieved that he could have a moment alone with his thoughts.
Draco’s POV
‘Merlin, I’m such an idiot. What happened to my charm, my wit…? That could not have gone worse. Potions? Ugh.’ I continued walking towards my dormitory, intent on putting my bags down like Y/N had suggested. I had just placed my hand on the door of my dormitory when a thought struck me. I knew exactly how to ask out Y/N. But in order to put my plan into action, I had to hurry.
Y/N’s POV
Draco and I had just finished dinner and I decided to head up to my common room. I waved goodbye to him and started to walk away from the Great Hall. I felt myself get lost in thought about the homework I had to complete that night, and then suddenly, I was in front of my common room. I let myself into the common room and headed up toward my dormitory. As I stepped into the room, I noticed something laying on my bed. A single sunflower and a small lemon pie. There was a note beside them. It read Meet my in the kitchens at midnight. -D.M. I knew immediately from the slanting handwriting that it was from Draco. My heart skipped a beat and my face flushed. What did he have planned?
I moved the flower and the pie before flopping down onto my bed, a wide grin on my face. ‘How am I going to pass the time when all I can think about is Draco?’ I grabbed my potions notebook, attempting to get started on the homework Snape had assigned, and surprisingly getting lost in the chore. Before I knew it, midnight had rolled around. I stopped in the bathroom before leaving my dormitory to fix my hair, knowing I’d be embarrassed if I looked weird. I then set off towards the kitchen, making sure that I didn’t encounter anyone along the way. I got to the painting of the fruit bowl, and tickled the pear – it giggled back at me and turned into a door handle. I grasped the handle and pushed open the door, not knowing what to expect inside.
I gasped at the sight that met my eyes once I was inside the kitchen. Draco was sitting on the floor of the kitchen, on top of a beautiful pastel yellow and green checked blanket. ‘Our house colors,’ I thought to myself. He was leaning back against a stack of pillows he’d obviously transported down here, ignorant to my arrival. Around him were mugs of hot chocolate, filled to the brim with marshmallows and whipped cream, with tiny chocolate kisses dropped on top. My mouth watered at the sight, but I was more interested in the boy sitting next to the drink.
“Dray,” I whispered lightly, not wanting to scare him with my sudden appearance. He whipped his head around, and I watched as his mouth immediately shot into a smile.
“Y/N, you came. I wasn’t sure you would.”
“Of course, I would silly, you’re my best friend.” His smile faltered slightly at my response, his pride taking a small beating at the use of the word ‘friend.’ “Is all of this for me...?” You ask shyly, hoping he says yes. He nods, the grin back on his face.
“I wanted to ask you a question,” he says, now looking as confident as ever, nothing like earlier today. You sit down next to him and nod your head, silently urging him to keep talking. “I was wondering,” he took a deep breath and closed his eyes, “if you wanted to go on a date with me.” As soon as the words were out of his mouth, he let his breath out and his eyes popped open and looked directly at me. I had known he was trying to ask me on a date earlier, but nothing could have prepared me for the explosion of butterflies I got in my stomach when it actually happened. I reached a hand up to touch his cheek softly, in awe of the beautiful boy in front of me. I traced my hand down his cheek and across his lips, eyes following my fingers. I looked into his eyes after a moment, a cheeky grin flitting across my face.
“I thought you’d never ask,” I joked, laying my head down in his lap, hands reaching up towards his hair and running through it. He let out a breath I didn’t even realize he was holding and I took in his dazzling smile. He swooped down to my level, his hands on either side of my face, and his lips met mine. My stomach flipped in excitement, elated at the fact that Draco was finally mine. He pulled away slowly, relishing in the fact that he was kissing me, and placed a small peck on my nose.
“You smell like strawberries, my love. I think that’s my new favourite smell.”

Throne
Summary: Draco teases you, and you know he secretly cares about you too much, but you lash out at him. Idea formulated from Throne by Bring Me the Horizon.
Word Count: 1.2k
Warnings: Angst, Swearing, a little OOC, sort of a toxic relationship I guess idk, a small amount of fluff
A/N: So, I really liked the idea for this fic, but I’m not sure I executed it well lol. I really struggled with this one, it took me multiple days, so leave me some feedback and some requests!
As you walk past the boy’s bathroom on the third floor, you hear quiet sniffling. You peak your head in, just in time to watch your boyfriend, Draco Malfoy, dip his head down into his hands and let out a mangled sob. His hair is strewn across his face, robes thrown across the sink next to him, his shirt disheveled and unbuttoned at the top as he desperately tries to throw some water onto his face. Even at this distance, I can see his hands shaking. You’ve never seen Draco quite like this before – almost manic in his movements, a wildness and deep sadness in his eyes that you would have never expected to exist there. Your heart broke at the scene in front of you, wishing you could comfort him but knowing his cold demeanor would immediately return in the presence of another. You quietly closed the door and slipped away, Draco none the wiser of what you had witnessed.
***
You take your seat in Defense Against the Dark Arts, waiting for class to start and hoping the lesson will be interesting today. You self-consciously hope that nobody notices how puffy your eyes are – you and Draco had a fight the night before. You can’t even remember what the fight was about now, but whenever you cry a lot, you wake up the next morning with incredibly puffy eyes. You watch solemnly as your boyfriend struts into the room, clearly not bothered by what had happened the night before.
“Oh Y/N, something on your mind? You really should get a hold of your emotions. It’s a bit pathetic really” Draco says, noting your red-rimmed eyes. You know he’s being more of an ass because he’s around his friends, but it still hurts. He slouches back into his chair; the ankle of his right food balanced on his left knee in a position of laziness. He looked proud of himself for what he had just said, the smirk on his face growing as his hand found its way to rest under his chin, thumb on one side and all his fingers on the other. ‘That git,’ you thought to yourself, unable to contain your frustration anymore.
“You sit in your chair like it’s a throne, but you don’t even rule yourself,” you snarled at him. His face immediately dropped, eyes widening. The horror-struck expression he wore let you know that he knew exactly what you had seen in the boy’s bathroom earlier in the week. “You expect me to be master of my emotions, shouldn’t you expect the same from yourself? Hypocritical ass…” you huffed, trailing off at the end. Draco immediately got up from his seat and swept from the room, footsteps distinctly telling you where he was going. Groaning in exasperation, you followed him silently, not regretting your words but wishing you hadn’t been quite so harsh.
You followed Draco towards the Room of Requirement, not knowing what to expect but wanting to fix the damage you’d done either way. You hid as you waited for Draco do disappear into the room, then quickly followed him through the door before it could disappear. It looked like a giant library, but while there were books tidily stacked on the shelves, there were also books stacked haphazardly on the ground, creating a giant maze. Through one of the corridors created by the books, you could just catch a glimpse of a squishy, green armchair. You started to walk towards it, hoping Draco would be seated in the chair opening a book, when someone grabbed your wrist. You whipped around, biting off a scream as the handsome, pale face came into view, a halo of white-blonde hair surrounding it.
“Draco,” you breathed, letting out your breath as you realized it was exactly who you were looking for. “I didn’t mean-” he cut you off with a lazy wave of his hand.
“I know, Y/N.” He looked directly into your face when he spoke again. “But anybody who says anything against me has the wrong idea, you must know that. Every wound, mental or physical, helps shape me into the person I’m going to become. You say I sit on a throne while I can’t even rule myself – well,” he scoffs, “every scar I’ve ever gotten has helped me build that throne. I will use the sticks and stones that have been thrown at me along the way to build an empire, rebuild everything that everybody else broke along the way. They can cry me a river for all I care – I forgive them because without them, I’d have no reason to fucking fight.” By the time he’s finished speaking, Draco is panting slightly, out of breath from finally saying what he’s been keeping bottled up. I know that there is more that needs explaining, but I’m glad he’s at least let some form of emotion out, even if it’s anger.
“Draco,” I say gently, not wanting to make him even angrier. “I know that you know I saw you in the bathroom the other day. Do you want to talk about it?” He looks up at me sharply, not expecting me to bring it up. He shakes his head.
“I can’t talk to you about it. It would just put you in more danger than you already are dating me.” You look at him with concern, softly grabbing his arm and rubbing the spot where you know his dark mark is, trying to counter the bad with some good. You can feel him relax a little bit under your touch, so you tug on his arm to pull him closer. You move your arms up to loop them around his neck and feel him move to bury his head in the crook of your neck. You feel hot tears drip onto your shoulder and run your hand through his hair soothingly. “I can’t lose you” he whispers, voice cracking, making your heart break even further.
“I’m yours, Dray,” you whisper back, lifting his head up to meet your gaze and wiping the tears from his face. You place a small kiss on the tip of his nose, and he crinkles his nose in response. He pulls your face to his chest and runs one hand over your hair, smoothing it down. After some thought, he rests his chin on your head.
“I know,” he replies simply, making you worry about his family ties to the Dark Lord. Could you be in that much danger? You burrow your face further against Draco as you think ‘Would I die for Draco Malfoy? Would I die to keep him safe?’ You pull your face away from Draco’s chest and look into his pale, grey eyes, now stormy after the tears they had spilled. Despite how much of an ass he is sometimes, you know deep down that you love him. When he looks down, connecting your eyes, the corners of his mouth turn up in a small smile. You immediately get butterflies in your stomach. ‘Yes…I would die for Draco Malfoy.’

Jersey of Champions
Summary: George lets you wear his quidditch jersey after they win a match.
Word Count: 1.2k
Warnings: A little bit of swearing, hinting at smut, other than that just fluff.
A/N: Hi guys! This is my first fic, so don’t come for me too hard. Also tell me things I can improve and leave me requests and I will try and write some more!
You were sitting in the stands watching the Gryffindor and Slytherin quidditch teams glide around the pitch, waiting for the action to begin. The game had barely even begun yet and Lee was already in good form, finding it hard not to take sides as the ‘impartial’ commentator. Professor McGonagall was hot on his heels after each comment, causing Lee to cover his tracks after saying even the slightest remark against Slytherin.
“Slytherin in possession – Flint with the Quaffle – passes Spinnet – passes Bell – hit hard in the face by a Bludger, hope it broke his nose, good shot George – only joking, Professor – Slytherins score – oh no…” You wrinkled your nose in delight as you watched Flint’s nose spurt blood after George Weasley, one half of the Gryffindor team’s beaters, sent the Bludger directly at him. Normally you wouldn’t have found yourself so delighted at another person’s pain, but George was your boyfriend and you supported him no matter what – and the Slytherin captain had always been rude to you anyways. As George sped past you on his broom, he blew you a cheeky kiss and winked, leaving a trail of sighs behind him as all of the other girls near you imagined it was them who he had blown the kiss towards. You knew that George was a hot commodity at Hogwarts, and you gave a little smirk knowing that you were the one he had chosen out of everyone else at the school. Fred, George’s twin brother and the other half of the Gryffindor beaters, had just sailed past, picking up the hearts that George had dropped as he made his love for you known. Fred looked at each and every girl in the stands as he passed by, somehow managing to give each of them a special greeting as he flew past. How that boy could focus on anything when he was so busy flirting, you’d never know.
Shaking your head slightly, you turned your attention back to the game. Adrian Pucey had the Quaffle, accelerating towards the goal posts where Oliver Wood stood guard. You willed one of the twins to shoot a Bludger his way, but your silent prayer was answered in a different way. Alicia Spinnet appeared seemingly out of nowhere and body checked Pucey, making him lose balance and drop the Quaffle. Alicia quickly grabbed the Quaffle before it fell too far and made a mad dash towards the Slytherin goal posts. She expertly dodged around every obstacle in her way – a Bludger, Pucey back for another go, and straight over Miles Bletchley’s outstretched arms and through the goal posts. I screamed my head off, absolutely thrilled that Gryffindor were leading 70 to 30. Things were looking good, and just like that Harry Potter had spotted the snitch, making a nosedive straight for the ground. He pulled his broom up at the last minute and managed to reach out his arm just enough to grab one of the wings of the snitch. That was enough for the snitch to freeze and droop, knowing it had finished its job for the day.
Lee screamed “GRYFFINDOR WINS WITH A FINAL SCORE OF 220 TO 30. TAKE THAT, YOU DIRTY, CHEATING-“
“Jordan, if you can’t commentate in an unbiased way-!”
“I’m telling it like it is, Professor!” Lee seemed completely unabashed at Professor McGonagall’s scolding and his own outburst. If anything, he looked proud of himself. But Lee’s look of pride was nothing compared to George’s as he flew towards you. He did this every time they won a game – immediately after the game finished, he would fly straight to you and kiss you. As he grew closer, your stomach started to flutter; even after dating George for almost two years, he still made you nervous. He reached out a gloved hand as he slowed down and grabbed your face, almost pulling you out of the stands in his attempt to get closer to you. He ran his thumb across your lips and licked his bottom lip before capturing you in a kiss. You lost your balance and George heard a squeal followed by a quick “Thank Merlin” when you landed directly onto his broom. He smirked and pulled you even closer, still kissing you. At this point, both of his hands were distracted by you, and his broom was starting to drift lazily around as he ran his fingers through your hair and caressed the side of your face.
“George-!” you said attempting to get him to focus back on the broom you were both sitting on. He smirked and kissed you again before letting you shuffle up to his chest and tuck your head beneath his so he could gain control of the broom again. He slowly flew around the quidditch pitch, making lazy spirals to get you closer to the ground.
“Y/N,” George said, slowing down even more so you wouldn’t get to the ground too soon. “Can you do something for me, love?” Your heart sped up at the nickname; he knew how much you loved it. You looked over your shoulder at him and nodded, your eyes wide with curiosity. “Wear my jersey to the party tonight?” He bit his bottom lip nervously, clearly worried you wouldn’t say yes. His expression changed almost immediately though when he noticed your eyes light up.
“Georgie of course I will!” you say, voice barely coming out a whisper as you’d been screaming so much during the match. You immediately wrap your arms around his neck and bury your head in his chest. You hear him chuckle and he rubs your back, clearly pleased with your answer. He finally drops the broom all the way to the ground, grabs your hand, and leads you towards the changing rooms. He knows he took long enough on the descent that everybody else will be gone by now and up in the common room for the party. Once inside the changing rooms, he strips off his jersey and uses a quick charm on it to freshen it up for you – you hadn’t even thought about the sweat. You were so proud of him; you would’ve worn the jersey even with the sweat stains. You grabbed the jersey from his hands eagerly and stripped off your coat, replacing it with the jersey that was much too big on you.
You looked up at George and his cheeks reddened. “What Georgie? Does it not look good?” you croaked out, your eyes looked up at him in slight panic. He shook his head.
“Love, I’ve never seen anything so hot, cute, and adorable all at the same time. I could fuck you right here and now just in that jersey.” Now it was your turn to blush. He looks at you with a smirk and starts getting dressed, not bothering to shower. “Now how about we sneak into the kitchens and get you a cup of tea with honey for that throat?” You smiled at him and nod as he threw his arm around your shoulder, pulling you close to him, and kissed the tip of your nose.

Sugar and Smoke
Summary: You think George slips you a love potion.
Word Count: 1.5k
Warnings: Slight swearing, mentions of sex, mostly just fluff
A/N: Hi guys! I have written another Georgie fic for you. I’m a little unsure as to how well I did on this one, but here’s hoping! Leave me a request if you want!
“Good afternoon, class,” Snape drawls, looking at us with disdain. You have to stop yourself from rolling your eyes at his open hatred towards his students. “Today we will be learning about Amortentia. Can anybody tell me what this potion is?” Snape scans the room, studiously avoiding Hermione’s gaze as her hand shoots up in the air. “Potter, how about you?” he sneers.
Harry, although unsurprised by the professor’s choice, noticeably has no idea what the potion does. “I dunno, Professor,” he says coldly, staring Snape straight in the eyes while he speaks.
“Well, clearly fame isn’t everything. You cannot pass your O.W.L.s with fame Potter. 10 points from Gryffindor,” Snape scoffs, very obviously pleased with himself for already finding a reason to deduct points from his least favourite house. You sigh as you rest your head on your hand, waiting for Snape to actually tell you what the potion is for. “Amortentia” he drones on “is the strongest love potion in the world.” As all the girls in the room, apart from you and Hermione, look intently at Snape, willing him silently to continue his explanation, Snape goes on “It does not create actual love, but a deep infatuation with whoever slips you the potion. If you smell Amortentia, it is said to smell like whatever attracts you.” The girls who were hanging on his every word look slightly disappointed, although not like their plans have been entirely dashed. I give Hermione a worried look and we both stifle a giggle at the thought of all of the boys at Hogwarts obsessing over random girls.
At the thought, you fall into a daydream, knowing instantly who you would slip a love potion if you had to choose. George Weasley. Your friend Ron’s older brother, he was completely unobtainable as he saw you like a little sister. You’re snapped out of your fantasy as Snape drops a book on your desk, startling you and making you realize that you were the only person not gathered around Snape’s work bench. Everybody is taking turns smelling the potion. You rush over to stand beside Hermione, thinking along the way ‘wait, why was I just fantasizing about George? Ew. Unsure of what you’ll smell, you sniff the cauldron - something sugary, and smoke. You finish smelling the potion and immediately turn away to gather your supplies and meet Hermione at your work bench.
“What did you smell?” You ask the wild haired witch. She blushes in response.
“New parchment, freshly mown grass, and spearmint toothpaste.” You give her a questioning look. She looks up at you innocently and whispers “Ron.” You gasp with delight at her confession, glad she trusted you with this information. “What about you?” She smirks, evidently fascinated by the thought of you.
“Sugar and smoke.” Hermione looks surprised. “What?” you look at your friend with slight panic in your eyes. “Who did I smell?”
“George.”
You groan “That’s not possible, ‘Mione. There have to be other cute guys here that smell like sugar and smoke…” Hermione gives you a grin.
“What, you mean like Fred?” she teased, talking about George’s identical twin. You choke at the words, knowing it’s a joke but feeling grossed out, nonetheless. You loved being around Fred, but you didn’t like him like that. Fred was more like a big brother.
“Hermione that would be like having sex with a step-brother. Not blood related, but still gross,” you laughed as Hermione stuck her tongue out in disgust. After that, you both got down to work. Together, you somehow managed to make a perfect Amortentia potion. Looking down at the mother-of-pearl sheen in your shared cauldron, both you and Hermione stiffened slightly when Snape approached you.
“Acceptable,” he muttered disappointedly as he took a sample of your potion, obviously hoping for another reason to dock points from Gryffindor. He dismisses the pair of you with a wave of his hand, and you both pack up quickly.
You turn to Hermione, a thought suddenly dawning on you. “’Mione, what if George slipped me a love potion?”
Hermione shrugs. “I suppose it’s possible. Maybe you should ask him about it?”
“I will. In fact, I’m going to right now.” You say, huffing slightly angrily. Hermione looks uneasy at the thought, reaching her hand out to grab you, but you were already marching ahead towards the Great Hall for lunch. While making your way down the corridor, you think to yourself ‘I can’t believe that git would slip me a love potion! He’s not going to know what hit him when I get a hold of him.’ As soon as you arrive in the Great Hall, you scan the people in the room, looking for a particular redhead. You spot him halfway down the giant room and start walking towards him determinedly. “George Weasley!” you howl, breathing in his scent and getting more upset by the second. You really didn’t like the idea of someone slipping something into your drink without you knowing. George turns around, caught off guard by the anger in your voice.
“Dearest Y/N, what’s got your knickers in a knot?” He asks, teasingly.
“Oh you know exactly what I’m upset about” you say, stabbing your pointer finger into his chest roughly. “You must’ve thought you were so slick, slipping it into my potion. But I caught on, and-” I stop when George still looks confused.
“Y/N, what are you talking about?”
From down the table, Harry yells “We learned about love potions with Snape today. Maybe that’s what she’s talking about!” I lay my hand out towards Harry in a gesture of acknowledgement and thanks for explaining the situation for me. George snickers loudly.
“What’s so funny?” I demand, getting even more upset by his reaction.
He looks me dead in the eyes and says “I hate to break it to you Y/N, but I never put a love potion in your drink. Twin’s honor,” he says, grinning and holding up one hand and placing the other over his heart. I look at him with confusion for a second before the realization strikes me. He knows when I understand because I turn bright pink.
“I’m going to go,” I say quickly, turning on the spot and walking as fast as possible out of the Great Hall, sure that almost everybody heard that conversation. As I’m about to walk up the stairs, a large hand wraps gently around my wrist. I look back and see George standing there, his eyes looking at me with some desperation and his cheeks rosy.
“Y/N you must know that I’ve loved you since the day we met.” I look at him with shock, my eyes practically bugging out of my head. He shakes his head and laughs, looking nervously down at his feet. “I thought you knew. I haven’t exactly been subtle about it.” He looks at me and tucks some of my hair behind my ear. My face heats up and I breathe in his scent once more – sugar and smoke. Butterflies erupt in my stomach as I see how close we are, and realize I was being ridiculous. ‘Of course, I like George’ I think to myself. ‘It’s always been him.’ I take a step closer to him, putting my hand on his chest and looking up at him. I hear him suck in a small breath, watching as his Adam’s apple bobs up and down as he swallows.
“Is this okay?” I whisper. George shakes his head no. I start to pull my hand away, embarrassed once again, but he snatches it back.
“No, it’s not okay, because you’re still not close enough to me,” he says, cupping my face and running his thumb gently along my jaw, tipping my chin up towards him. He repeats my own words back to me, “Is this okay?” I nod slowly, scared to move in case this is a dream. His head dips down and he inches toward me, painfully slow. After a few moments I can’t take it anymore – I wrap my arms around the back of his neck and yank him down towards me, closing the gap between us as our lips crash together. He groans, putting his hands behind my legs and lifting me up to wrap them around his waist. He makes his way towards the common room, wanting to be in private together. When he makes it to the portrait hole, he kisses me while also trying to tell the Fat Lady the password. I laugh and detach our lips.
“Baubles” I direct at the Fat Lady. As the portrait swings open, I look back at George and laugh even harder. “Why did I even think you slipped me a love potion?”
“Must be my animal attraction” he says, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively and laughing at himself. I smack his chest in mock shock, laughing along with him before I reach up and pull his face down to me again for another kiss, feeling him smile against me.

Black Angel - Part 8
Word Count: 247
A/N: We’re getting close to the end guys, the last part is almost here! I’m exciteddddd.
Music: Guardians at the Gate - Audiomachine
Bodies scatter the ground everywhere, demon and human. I feel arms around my shoulders and I look up to see Sebastian smiling down at me. But, something’s wrong. I can feel it. He glances down to look at his knife, still dripping with demon blood, and when he looks up, I glance into his eyes. They’re black. I realize that when I turned around to survey the damage done, the demon leader must have risen out of its old body, and possessed Sebastian.
“Sebastian, wake up! It’s me Artemis. SEBASTIAN IT’S NOT REALLY YOU SNAP OUT OF IT!” I pound on his chest, desperate for him to realize what was happening. I didn’t realize how much I relied on Sebastian until now. I feel my eyes start to well up with tears, and I wipe at them angrily. “Sebastian, please,” I whisper, sobbing.
“You know Artemis,” Sebastian whispers back, “I could never have truly loved you.” He slowly slides the knife into my chest. “You lack emotion.” He lays me on the ground and wipes the blade clean of blood. The demon blood left on the blade has come off into my wound, making it burn. Tears sting my eyes as I watch Sebastian stare down at me and no realization of what he’s done shows in his eyes. He starts to walk away, and my vision starts getting dark. My chest throbs. I watch as Sebastian starts to convulse as if he’s going to throw up.

Black Angel - Part 3
Word Count: 663
A/N: As promised, here is part 3 of Black Angel! This part is a bit longer, and I hope you guys enjoy it, if any of you are still reading. Xx
Music: Assassin - Audiomachine
As both Atlas and the other soldier waltz away, I slowly crawl out from my crouching position. I’m suspicious of Atlas because of what the seer said, so I follow him. He starts to walk between the tall buildings, winding an intricate path that he seems to have walked before. I follow him but make sure to keep far enough away so that he doesn’t see me. As he turns a corner, I peer around, watch him leave, then hide behind the corner to come up with a plan. I know he’s heading towards the army headquarters, so it should be easy enough to spot him, as all of the walls are made of glass. We couldn’t find anywhere else that wasn’t completely wrecked in the city, so this was the only place left. I pull out my handgun and pull a few bullets out of my strap. I don’t really compute what it is I’m about to do, only that whatever the outcome, I will probably be labeled a traitor. Well...as long as it wins us the war. Those demons deserve to rot in the depths of hell.
After loading my gun and putting it back in its holster, I silently slip around the corner and walk against the wall in the direction Atlas went. My heart starts to pump a little bit faster at the anticipation of a fight. I walk past a glass window and look in to see Atlas staring at me with dark, intelligent eyes. His eyes turn black, and a grin spreads across his face. My eyes widen. I try to reassure myself that there’s no way I could have known, but it doesn’t help. I don’t have much time to dwell on these new findings though, because Atlas pulls out his gun, and starts shooting through the glass. I give him one calm glance, and shoulder roll behind a corner. He walks towards me, still shooting through the window. As I roll out of his line of fire, I pull a gun strapped to my hip, cock it, and peer around the corner, knowing that the final blow has to be with the soul blade if I want to banish Atlas forever. I’m stunned to find that he’s no longer there. I start to turn around, and suddenly feel a pair of strong arms wrap around me, restricting my movement.
“So you’ve figured out my little secret, haven’t you? Who told you?” Atlas’ hot breath tickles the back of my neck.
I turn around and fiercely elbow him in the stomach, “Wouldn’t you like to know?” I smile at him acidically and grab his wrist. “I mean, I knew you were corrupt. But I didn’t know you were one of them.” I take his wrist, and wrench it behind his back, taking my gun and putting it up to his neck. “Any last words, succubus?”
“Yeah,” he reaches behind with his right hand and takes the gun, grabbing my wrist with his left hand and twisting. He spins around and puts the gun against my temple. “I hope gunshot wounds don’t hurt as much as they say.” He leans in close and sneers in my face. “Sweety, demons will always outsmart humans.” As he finishes saying, humans, I wrench my arm out of his grasp, reach up and grab his head, and pull it down hard against my knee. He drops the gun and cries out, his hands flying to his nose, blood seeping out between his fingers.
“Next time you’re about to kill someone, give up on the evil monologue. I’ve seen enough action movies to know that the good guy always comes up with a solution during the monologue.” I pull out the soul blade, put it against Atlas chest, and push all my weight against him. I watch as the lingering soul in the body shoots out into my blade, truly confirming Atlas’ death.
I have become the black angel of death.

Black Angel - Part 10
Word Count: 476
A/N: This is the last part guys! I’m working on a sequel, but it’s a bit slow going so let me know what you think of this whole series in the meantime! Xx
Music: Transcendence - Audiomachine
Sebastian’s POV
After Artemis has taken her last breath and her hand falls from my cheek, I hear a rumbling sound. I look to the side and realize that the newest wave of demons has come into place as I was holding Artemis’s hand. I see that Artemis’s body and I are much closer to the oncoming throng than I had thought, so I pick up her body from the middle of the battleground, and I carry her to the edge of the field. I glance mournfully at her body, tears cascading down my cheeks, and I turn back to the battle, anger burning in my throat. I will avenge your death, Artemis. Even if it was at my hands. My hand brushes down Artemis’ body one last time, and catches on something along the way. My eyes widen. A soul blade. Where on earth did she get this? I solemnly take the blade and sheath off of Artemis’ body, knowing it could come in handy. I walk towards the demon army, into the middle of the battleground, and pick up my own knife. As I pick it up, I see Katya, tears gleaming in her eyes and I nod towards her. When I turn back to the demon army, I see that the demon leader has found a new body to possess, and has come back to the battle, most likely to watch me suffer. He has a grin on his face as I walk closer and closer to the demon army, ignoring my army completely.
I hear his voice like a sigh, “You reap what you sow.”
I feel my lips moving in a battle cry rather than hear the sound. But I know what they say just as clearly as if I were hearing them. “FOR ARTEMIS,” they cry, and I hear my army repeat my cry. As a unified group, we slash through demon after demon, feeling no remorse. Before long, we’ve slain another army of demons, and I’m standing over the demon leader. The tip of my knife lies right above his face, and I can hear the sizzle as demon blood drips off of the tip and hits his skin.
“Any last words before I pull my knife across your throat?” I ask the demon, not really preparing myself for an answer.
“You know you’ll never win,” he says in his breathy voice. ”This is an eternal battle, fought by poor souls who have no recollection of what they’re doing.”
“I don’t care what it takes, I have to try. For her.”
“Believe what you want, child. This chapter is coming to a close.”
“No,” I say as I slash open his throat. “It’s only just begun.” I stand up and stare straight ahead, toward the place where the demons have been coming from, and I start running towards it.

Black Angel - Part 9
Word Count: 225
A/N: THE LAST PART IS NEXT AHHH GET EXCITED
Music: Solace - Audiomachine
Sebastian sees me lying in a pool of blood, and I can see in his face that he knew what he was doing all along. Somewhere, in the back of his mind, he knew what he was doing, but he couldn’t get past the demon’s control over him. He rushes over to my side and screams my name. “ARTEMIS,” he sobs. “Oh god what have I done? DEAR GOD WHAT HAVE YOU MADE ME DO?” Sobs rack his body as he lifts my hand to his cheek, the blood on my hand smearing onto his face. He looks into my eyes as my vision gets blurrier. “I didn’t mean those things I said, Artemis. I love you no matter what. You’re so strong, and I can’t imagine my life without you. I’m so sor-” he chokes on the words. He whispers, “I’m sorry.” Sebastian kisses my hand, and cradles my head in his lap. He kisses my forehead, and the last thing I see is his eyes. I reach up, and brush his cheek, then my hand falls limp. Right before I completely blackout, I see Sebastian turn his head as a new wave of demons comes in.
He turns around, and I see his eyes have returned to normal. The demon has done its job. It messed with Sebastian’s mind and fled the scene.

Black Angel - Part 4
Word Count: 460
A/N: Here is part 4 guys! I hope you enjoy it. I realize it’s another shorter part...sorry!
Music: Wounded Heart - Audiomachine
As I walk away, I wipe my boots clean of blood. I know I’m supposed to feel remorse, but I feel nothing. I feel numb, cold. I can’t tell where I’m going, wandering aimlessly, but when I look up, I find that I’m back at my camp. I stumble back to my quarters, but before I can walk in, Sebastian spots me. Kind, gentle, loving Sebastian, whom I want to pour my heart out to, but I know otherwise. He looks crestfallen as I put my head down and walk past him.
“Artemis what’s wrong?” He looks genuinely concerned and I know he has a right to know what I did, but I can’t bear to tell him. I pull down the cuffs of my jacket, knowing that there is probably blood on my wrists, and I start to open the door.
“Nothing,” I reply, emotionless. When I reach for the doorknob, my sleeve tugs up slightly, and a bright red splotch of blood appears. Sebastian rushes over and gently grabs my arm.
“Oh my - Artemis, are you hurt? What happened? Where have you been? We need to get Atlas to take a look at you!”
“Sebastian, Atlas is dead,” I say flatly.
He looks at me incredulously. “That’s not possible. I saw him not ten minutes ago. He can’t possibly have died in ten minutes.”
I look at him, a purposeful gleam in my eyes. I put my hand on his cheek. “Sebastian, Atlas is dead. I killed him.” The words come spilling from my mouth as I watch him widen his eyes in horror. “A seer summoned me and she told me Atlas was corrupt. She told me I needed to assassinate him, and I didn’t question her. I went, I found Atlas, and he attacked me. He revealed his true form, a demon, and he nearly killed me,” I finish speaking, lowering my eyes to the ground.
When I’m finished, Sebastian hooks his finger under my chin and lifts my head so I meet his gaze. “Can I trust you?”
“Of course. When have I ever lied to you? You know,” I say with a hint of mischief, “all relationships are built off of honesty.” Sebastian laughs and pulls me into a hug. “I suppose we should probably go and tell Atlas’ second in command that it’s up to him to win this war.”
“Artemis, did I not tell you? The reason Atlas wanted to talk to me a few minutes ago was to make me his second in command. I’m in charge of the army now that he’s dead.” Sebastian looks at me, worry and excitement present in his eyes. “I guess I should call together the army and tell them now.”
“I guess you should.”
