Happy National Pizza Day! Dave Greber’s digital artwork "Skyyys™," which displayed at Fulton Center in 2018, featured vibrant abstractions created using recognizable, colorful kinetic objects, such as pizza, balloons, bouncing balls, stuffed animals, and more, referencing and remixing the constant stream of visual information that we all experience daily. The fluid pace, whimsical imagery, and prismatic palette of "Skyyys™" complemented the character of Fulton Center and the kaleidoscopic space of transition from street to subway in the heart of the bustling and visually diverse city.

because I don't blog anywhere else, I'm going to liveblog me playing all my records here. As always, personal posts are tagged with #blarghe. I don't have that many records right now but I just broke up with someone and plan to spend all the extra money I have now adding to the collection, and also I'm really bored of my Spotify algorythm so I want to listen to everything I have. Playing every record in my current collection is probably only gonna take like a week. Maybe you will read my reviews and send me recs?

Starting with the two random shitty grungecore EPs I have for some reason. Did I get them at shows? From my brother (who would have got them at shows)? I don't remember. They were Tendril by Godstopper and Hiroshima Vacation by Greber. They both kinda sucked, but like in the way that you want random EPs from grungey thrash bands to suck. I liked the Greber one better. I would probably pay 15 bucks to see these bands in a dark basement again.

This year we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the #nfcdab project, which could not exist without the trust of the artists. The idea was born at a time when not everyone was aware of the coming revolution in the reception of digital content caused by the advent of smartphones. In 2014, QR codes or NFC tags were a technology on the verge of becoming commonplace, and the same was true of wireless Internet and unfettered access to the Internet. 10 years later, we are in very different times. That's why we trusted the idea of DIWO, which is an important element of this - let's not be afraid to use the word: "research" project. The whole concept would not have been possible thanks to the help from browserbased.org and noemata.net in the persons of Zsolt Mesterhazy and Bjørn Magnhildøen, I must also mention Brian Khuu being our Australian liaison to the antipodes, and I want to thank the many people who have helped us over the years in organizing our shows: Konstantina Mavridou, Radovan Misovic aka Rad0, Tibor Horvath, Florian Kuhlmann.
