The Border: The Great Wall of America. Since I grew up in a border state, I have seen the wall with my own eyes, from both sides of the border. I have known those who cross legally everyday for work, and I know those that have risked their lives to make the journey illegally - and some that were lost along the way. Understanding the complexities of border issues, including the politics, the economics, and the human beings is no small undertaking, and it deserves more than soundbites. Take note: Border politics and deportations transcend political party and administration.
