Meet Purple: God's unlikely provision

Have you ever felt that nagging sense of claiming/believing for something ASAP?

During prayer and fasting this year, God really stirred my faith to believe for His mighty provision. And even as it ended, I was still full of anticipation. I felt that God is challenging me to claim for a laptop (one of my faith goals this year) before the week ended.

Actually, I already started to ask Him last year for a laptop to be efficient and effective in reaching the next generation. And true enough, someone texted me that there is a Acer Aspire laptop worth 15k. And accordingly, it is light, which means i can carry whenever I’ll go to the campus and still fulfill my admin responsibilities,  it is of good quality, which is a good investment. And at that time, I only have 500php. So it was not a choice for me then. But, my heart won’t just give up on claiming a laptop within the week.

Then, someone also told me to try the installment way to buy one. So I looked around the city, lo and behold i saw one that an Acer laptop worth 12k (the cheapest with a good brand). But I don’t have credit card; the only way the store will sell it. So, operating on my own way…My prayer then is not for God to provide a free laptop but to have someone who can lend me a credit card.

During all these, a special friend of mine urges me to be in faith that God will provide not thru a credit. He said ‘I know that when God provides, He adds no trouble to it.’

My answer then: ‘Right, there’s no trouble in this’.

But God is God. He is sovereign. His ways are not our ways.

Friday afternoon. My faith starts to dwindle. I was starting to think of ways how to approach this person to borrow a credit card.

But again during the youth service God just reminded me to trust Him in this. Ptr. RN preached that when we believe, we can see that God’s power is released. I feel like Jacob wrestling for an answer from Him. Then I said to God ‘ Do it again God. I believe YOU are able.’

And know what?!

When I got home, I received a text message from someone who I had a chance to share about my week’s faith goal (throughout the week, I’ve been rallying my friends to pray with me for this what I call: crazy faith). And after few exchange of messages, the couple arrived at out house with Purple.

Purple is way beyond what I prayed for. It is light, handy and CHIC. It is of better brand (quality) than what I’m about to settle with. And it’s FREE. It’s TROUBLE FREE. and RIGHT on TIME.

During that week, more than receiving Purple.. I believe God has just given me another ounce of faith. ..and an invaluable lesson:

GOD PROVIDES THE BEST in HIS TIMING.
