These are grand! Always nice to see a green redesign, there was a tragic lack of green Ponies in G4 overall.

idk what prompted me to draw these horses since i haven't drawn them in like six years

i like designing them more distinct from eachother, i also wanted to add the early concepts of these characters and i'll put the explanations for them under a cut for whoever's curious

twilight: based on the g1 twilight but i decided to change her eye color to amber since i thought it looked more interesting! there's a lot of things i changed from what we know from the beta mane six bc i didn't want the group to be overwhelmed by either pink or purple since that's what a lot of the original coat colors had rarity: based on sparkler who had a couple green and blue versions (but i ended up freestyling a lot of this so she's the most removed from the original here) fluttershy: based on posey, also removed the wings since posey was an earth pony, added a couple freckles since i thought it looked cute pinkie pie: based on surprise, added wings since she's a pegasus rainbow dash: based on firefly, her colors i kept largely the same as well applejack: changed to her g3 version since she's the most unchanged anyway and it would've been boring to keep her the exact same, also changed the cutiemark to a bunch of green apples since the g3 cutiemark was more elaborate and would've looked a bit out of place compared to the others (and a red apple would've gotten lost in the red coat)

Okay, so maybe I took the lore of the Glitter Sweetheart Sister Ponies over the execution of the toy. Have you actually seen one of these things? Sweetheart Sister moulds are already not to my taste, but have you ever considered trying to make a Twice as Fancy with raw glitter stamps?

My version is a bit more... sparkledog, I guess, but to be fair, this might just count as a form change. Like Rainbow Magic. Or Final Form.

I wonder what powers they get?

Sweetberry, as far as I understand, is G3's debut chef character (of sweets and pastries, of course). She works at the Cotton Candy Café, which is one of the many building playsets of that era. Of course, her box omits her having a job when mentioning how busy she is...

Fair Weather is a perfectly pretty pony with a classic palette. But dear lord her cutie mark—well, its execution—is awful. It'd be one thing if she were an early design, but she was released alongside Bunches-o'-Fun, whose mark is an intricate bouquet. I gave it a good brush-up; I'm not certain if it's perfect, but it's certainly a lot better.

Kinda wanted to draw a babe tonight, so here's Desert Blossom, a G3 pony with no real backstory other than loving the sun and being covered in delightful glitter.

Unfortunately, I missed Annual Explosion Day this year due to streaming, but it looks like our two fireworks masterminds are already plotting next year.

Or a coup. They're pretty similar things.
