 Background:

          Cameron was born in New Zealand to pureblood wizards Genova and Duke Macmillan. They already had two sons, and after Cameron’s birth had three more kids, two girls and the youngest a boy. The family is quite calm and will rarely find themselves up in arms, even if the parents can be quite strict, and as far as the muggle world goes, they show no care for it (as curious as Cam was about muggles his parents advised against straying from the wizarding world for his own benefit. They had high hopes for him and did not want any distractions).

The Macmillan family is higher middle class, living comfortably and able to buy their kids nicer things on their journeys to Hogwarts. The Macmillan parents themselves had met at Hogwarts and choose to send their children there as well. Genova was born in New Zealand and Duke in Northern England, both to well-off pureblood lineages. Though it was important for them to keep things pure and stay away from the muggle world, they have greatly separated themselves from their more well-to-do families, so their kids could have less…stuffy lives.

The Macmillan siblings all get along pretty well considering how many of them there are. They are all tall like their parents and seemed to have gained their good looks as well. The two youngest, Jetta and Bradley, were born about eight years after the third youngest, Catelyn, who is almost two years younger than Cameron. The youngest two tend to branch off from their older siblings, but not to a large degree as they enjoy learning from and being babied by the older Macmillan kids sometimes. Cameron’s two older siblings are Damien and Feyis, three and four years older than him respectively. The older Macmillan kids were risen to be the most responsible, but their parents had softened up a teensy bit once Cameron was born. As stated, the siblings get along well, but the one that Cameron spends the most time with is Damien, the two being close since Cameron’s birth as Feyis kept to himself a lot as a kid. Damien is the only person to call his younger brother by his nickname, Cam, which is the way he likes it, as Damien is the only person who shows the slightest bit of acceptance for his interest in muggles and seems to encourage it at times.

          Cameron throughout his life has been a little different from the rest of his family. Where they were happy keeping to the wizarding side of things and aiming for more upscale lifestyles, that were still easily in their reach even without the help of Genova and Duke’s parents, Cameron wasn’t sure that was what he wanted. He was extremely inquisitive about muggles, even doing a little research into their lives and lifestyles, but he could never quench his curiosity due to the nature of his family. Cameron was not unhappy though. He had a great life and basically everything he wanted, including a computer that gave him access to the first wizard-only internet system (of course his parents wouldn’t allow him on any muggle-ridden internet, but Cameron had been drawn to technology his whole life and they took advantage of an opportunity to give him internet access without muggles).

          Personality-wise, Cameron is fun-loving, yet level-headed. He allows himself to have fun and take risks and enjoy life in any way he so pleases, but not without being careful as to not go too far. There are certain habits he has that his parents wouldn’t like too much, such as having a dark sense of humour and an affinity for certain…substances, but those things he keeps to when he is spending time with his friends. Not unlike with his family, he doesn’t entirely fit in with his friends from home, as they are all blissful and pleased sticking to their pureblood lifestyle, but they give Cameron an outlet for his wilder side and he enjoys every second of it. But as soon as the letter from Hogwarts arrived, Cameron knew what he had to do…he had to make some muggleborn friends and pick their brains and finally satisfy his curiosities.
