Has shamhat been discontinued due to the never ending brainrot of Signalis?

Sadly, I'm going to say yes. I'm thinking it might be because I've gotten kinda burned out on so much Godzilla stuff, plus there's just... a lack of motivation. If I remind myself "oh, it's been a while since the last update," I don't look forward to the idea of writing it, like it became an obligation rather than the self-indulgent dumb fun it used to be. Imagine that: the thing I once used to combat burnout has become the burnout. I've even tried drawing a Godzilla project I've been meaning to do for a while, but it just wasn't coming to me.

The inspiration I get from SIGNALIS feels like a breath of fresh air. It really touches me in a way that feels emotionally fulfilling... when it's not being depressing as hell, of course. I mean, obviously I still love Godzilla, but taking a break from a hyperfixation that's lasted since 2019 seems like a good idea.

@grandpuppylight pointed this out to me about brought up Princess Amit and Captain Jormungand. I feel like that Amit wouldn't call Jor this much, but maybe when he feels down about his position like a tough battle where men have died or got seriously injured, she'll call him "My Knight", to remind him of how many people he has saved so far and will continue to and comfort him.

On the other side, I think Jor is more of a nicknamer, given his more casual side with Anubis calling him Abi. So he might call her something like "Ami" or "sweetie". Though I bet there might be men that would try to seduce Amit, either because of her title or her closeness to Ozmargo's royal family by being Sariphi's lady-in-waiting. So when men try to get to Amit, despite her protests, Jor may step in and call her "My Princess" as a reminder that she's courting him.

Though I bet, at the start of all of their courtship, Amit would be really embarrassed, blushing with steam coming out of her head. Jor finds it really adorable, but doesn't want to be mean and tease her about it.

You're right Signalis would probably work better as a series. Also I said Ishiro Honda who is the director of the original Godzilla so it would be live action and have the retro fiftys to sixtys futuristic feel to it.

And there you lost me. Don't believe in Disney's practices, because not everything needs to be live action and I will stab someone if hypothetical live action Ariane ends up looking like M. Night Shyamalan Princess Yue. (Just remembering that angers me.) Animation or bust.

Also, it wouldn't be SIGNALIS if it didn't have the retro 80's style. Because East Germany In Space. It can technically have a 50's/60's style because the GDR was formed in 1949, HOWEVER! Fallout already has the 50's sci-fi aesthetic covered. 80's aesthetic or bust.

Since we now have the rodans egg animation, it makes the fact that Rodan is gonna be a dad in shamhat so much more wholesome. Will we see the birth in the main story or are you saving that for a side story?

It really does. I wanna say a birth would happen near the end of Shamhat if not in a final chapter, but if not then it'll appear in Shamhat and Enkidu at the Watering Hole.

It has been brought to my attention that we have a different contender for Leonhart's ears!

The Wildebeest!

The coloring, shape and size look really similar. I also found out that the wildebeest was used as an animated reference for Disney's Beast.

@grandpuppylight brought this to my attention, saying that they were bison ears. And Disney's Beast does have the head-shape and shoulders of one. However when I was looking up for reference pictures for the post-I couldn't really find ones that matched.

American Bison's are too round and fluffy-though really cute.

African Bison are similar, but they always seem to have some gaps in them and felt just a bit too big compared to how small Leo's are.

After looking at these two, I decided to look up wildebeests ears and viola! Again thanks to @grandpuppylight for bringing back into my attention again!

Now it's kind of tempting to see how Leonhart and Adam-Disney's Beasts compare to other animated "Beast" characters I've seen. I bet creators have a lot of fun coming up with which animals and which parts to use. Let me know if you want more Beasts to look at.

Are Leonhart's ears deer or zebra?

Thanks for the wait. I found these images to use as reference. I'd say that Leonhart's ears are more deer-like, given the shape and coloring. Although here's where they really come from:

The OG Beast himself! I knew that the creators used various animals to make him so I tried reading up on what ears they decided. Sadly, didn't find anything about the ears mentioned. I do hope this helps answers your question!

Many of the Titans are from egg-laying reptilian or amphibian or insectoid species so they're already weirded out by how painful live birth is and are understandably horrified that something could go wrong enough that it warrants someone cutting an expecting mother open so her baby can be delivered. Human evolution is a scary thing.
