Hello all!  And a special welcome to our new members!

A quick note. We have several (and by several, I mean over half) of the RP that have the potential to be affected by Hurricane Irma. Activity during this time will will obviously be affected and so we won’t do any activity checks until the danger has passed. 

We are sending out thoughts and prayers to everyone in harm’s way (oh heck, to the rest of you too, because you are awesome.).

Hello everyone, I wanted to say first off that we appreciate you guys so much for sticking around with us in this rp. We have had some fun times, and we truly appreciate each and every one of you guys for sticking by us. We want to continue making amazing stories and connections with each and every one of you, along with adding more players to the group. And this is why we refreshed the main page, running more promo ads, and this is also where we need you. In order for any rp to work, we need you guys to be as active as you can. We understand that life happens, and you have other things to do, and we respect that, but we need everyone to post. I am pledging as part of the admin team to be on more as well, and I think it is safe for me to speak for all the admins, so I hope you will all make an effort to do the same. If you need to go on hiatus, please let the main know. And that’s it! Again we couldn’t thank you guys enough, and we appreciate each of you. So much love and respect to all of you guys.

Excessive Heat Warning

To All Staff - 

Please be advised that the City of Las Vegas is under an excessive heat warning for Sunday, June 25th. 

A prolonged period of intense heat will create a dangerous situation in which heat illnesses are likely; especially for the elderly, children, homeless, those unaccustomed to the heat, and those that do not take proper precautions. precautionary/preparedness actions.

Drink plenty of fluids

Stay in an air-conditioned room

Stay out of the sun

Check up on relatives and neighbors

Reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening

Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke

Every effort will be made by management to make sure that the staff and guests of the MGM Grand are safe during this time. Emergency preparedness plans are in place and will be instituted as required.

The time has come! Starting tomorrow evening at 7 PM EST until 9 PM EST - the MGM Grand will experience a power outage due to the extreme temperatures in Las Vegas.  

Tomorrow morning we will post the list of random pairs and the random location they have been given to be stranded during this outage. You can begin to plot and start posting your threads beginning at 7 PM tomorrow evening. These threads will continue through the week to give everyone time to finish. 

During this time, you are also able to discuss the outage with other characters other than your partner. Texts, phone calls, etc are all welcome.  Feel free to be creative!

Please make sure to work with your partner to plot. If for some reason you become unavailable, please let the main know so we can pair your partner with another person or pair.

Excessive Heat Warning - Lights On

As suddenly as the lights went off, they come back on. Cheers are heard around the resort as cool air begins to stream back into the resort.  Chaos has been kept to a minimum and guests are beginning to filter into the restaurants and clubs looking for water.

This concludes the official blackout time frame. Threads may be continued; since not everyone has been on to participate. Real time communication like texts and calls should reflect the current state of the resort. The remainder of the week will consist of wrapping up the paired threads and reactions to everything that occurred during the black out. Feel free to get creative with your character and what may have happened during the blackout that affects their job..ie...Hannah might have extra problems with IT. Michael will be dealing with the overall state of the resort...etc etc...

Excessive Heat Warning - Black Out

At 7:00 PM EST the entire resort goes black. The strain of keeping the city cool has shut down the electrical grid. As emergency crews work to restore power, staff and guests at the Grands are advised to remain calm and stay put.

OOC: This kicks off our event loves! Remember that your threads do NOT have to be finished tonight. You will have the week to work on them and you are welcome to continue your current threads as well.
