A couple thoughts about Abby's latest rant about Darren's current lifestyle. 1st, she 'woke up w/ the saddest thought', when the 1st thing you think of in the morning is Darren, you might be a little obsessed. 2nd, She rants about the bar, and 'strippers' at his bday party (which were pole dancers actually, but I digress) and his debaucurous ways: What exactly does she expect him to do w/ his life? Sit around and play scrabble every night? He's living his life how he wants to and she cant deal.
Abby has mentioned more than once that she woke up to pee and checked Tumblr and that she saw something Darren related at 4:30am. Today she wrote about waking up thinking about something sad regarding Darren. IDK if she gets up that early or she is waking up and checking Tumblr before going back to sleep but regardless, her obsession is not healthy.
Criticizing Darren for his extracurricular activities is so completely pointless. Getting one’s panties into a twist over how Darren-a stranger to her- chooses to spend his personal time is a total waste of energy. Darren is an adult and as long as he isn’t hurting anyone else, he can do whatever he wants.
I was taken aback by Abby’s response to the stripper comment (below)-she begins with “I’m just laughing” and once again claims that straight Darren is so obvious and tired. But then she corrects Nonnie and defends pole dancing as an art form requiring athletic skill and states it looks “tastefully done” in the video. Wait, what? Did someone hack her Tumblr? But alas, she can’t help herself and she reverts to her usual uninformed, judgemental, “TSG is misogynistic” and “sexuality is evil” diatribe.
Over the last few weeks, Abby has criticized Daren for having fun because he lives a “debaucherous, party life style” and she has suggested a few times that he should donate his time or money to charity rather than have fun. She defends her right to let loose and drink alcohol but Darren isn’t allowed the same courtesy and Mia is called a drunk for nothing more than holding a drink in her hand at a private adult party.
The problem is Abby is jealous AF. Money seems to be a sore subject for her.  She normally keeps her criticism to Mia, blaming her for all of the money spent on expensive trips and sponsored activities- even when it is obvious that Darren is the reason they got access to the event. In the last two weeks, Darren celebrated his birthday, held the Grammy afterparty at TSG and cashed in the Royal 21 gift and ti’s too much for her. She can’t help herself, she’s livid. She is also pissed that Blaine is nowhere to be found. Darren is the same person he has always been but Abby convinced herself that Blaine was real and anything Darren does that reminds her he’s straight he is just too much.  She’s spiraling.
***********************************************************************************************
Anonymous asked: of course his birthday had female strippers.
ajw720 answered: I am just laughing.  They couldn’t be more obvious if they tried.
And for the record, pole dancing is an art.  It takes amazing strength and it looks like it was tastefully done last night from that small video.  But the fact that they are pushing it at the bday celebration is a clear indication that they are going out of their way to say D loves everything that happens at that trash establishment.
What they fail to recognize, there is a huge difference between truly artistic pole dancing and gyrating on a bar naked or using a teddy bar to simulate sex or calling a night Corporate Ho night.  Or naming drinks Slut or after breast size.  But the stans will see the pole artists and equate that with D accepting all things PBB allows to happen at the bar.  And that is the point.
My guess, he would have much preferred to see men on those poles, i believe he lives with one who is quite talented with the pole……..

TSG MIAMI SCOUTED CALENDAR / FEBRUARY 2017
February may be the shortest month on the calendar but it rivals all others as the busiest in Miami.  From art to concerts to theater to yachts, there is so much to do this month in our tropical paradise.
Tumblr media
February 4:  Get inspired as you go inside Coral Gables’ most beautiful kitchens, taste samples from the city’s best restaurants and shop from local merchants.  The 8th ANNUAL TOUR OF KITCHENS is a self-guided tour of Coral Gables’ most impressive private residence kitchens. The tour culminates at a closing party at Ferguson Bath Kitchen & Lighting Gallery.  Event lasts from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  Tickets are $60 and proceeds benefit the Coral Gables Community Foundation and the Culinary Arts Fund, which provides support and scholarships for the Culinary Arts Program at Coral Gables Senior High School.
February 4:  In 2015, Michael Tilson Thomas, being a fan of Bruce Hornsby’s recent modern, adventurous songwriting, asked Hornsby to appear as part of the New World Symphony’s 2015 “New Works” concerts. Hornsby performed four songs with the orchestra, and afterward Thomas asked him to expand his program for future collaborations. Seven more new songs were scored for orchestra, and now this set of 11 pieces will be performed at FESTIVAL MIAMI with the Frost School’s Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra.  Concert begins at 8PM at the UM Gusman Concert Hall.  Tickets are $25 to $45.

February 14-19:  The Grammy and Tony award winning musical, BEAUTIFUL, arrives at the Adrienne Arsht Center.  Beautiful tells the inspiring true story of Carole King’s remarkable rise to stardom, from being part of a hit songwriting team with her husband Gerry Goffin, to her relationship with fellow writers and best friends Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, to becoming one of the most successful solo acts in popular music history.  Features an array of beloved songs including I Feel The Earth Move, One Fine Day,  A Natural Woman, and  You’ve Got A Friend.  Tickets start at $45.
February 16-20:  The MIAMI INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW returns to Miami Marine Stadium for this 5 day event.   Whether you have big bucks or just big dreams, the boat show is the place to check out powerboats, sailboats, yachts, classic models, and antiques, all on display from the biggest brands. Expect the latest and greatest technology and toys for those who live the boating life.  Tickets cost $100 for a 5 day pass, $45 for a 2 day pass, $40 for premiere day, and $25 for single-day adult general admission; kids 15 and younger get in free. Catch a water taxi from one of four locations including the W Hotel, Hyatt Regency Miami, Bayfront Park or American Airlines Marina.

February 18-20:  The COCONUT GROVE ARTS FESTIVAL features treasures from over 360 artists and craftsmen who hail from Florida to Washington. You can check out original art, partake in the Culinary Village, listen to live tunes and maybe head home with a masterpiece or two. The festival runs 10 AM to 6PM and is located on McFarlane Road, South Bayshore Drive, and Pan American Drive in Coconut Grove. General admission costs $15 per day and $5 for residents of the zip code 33133.
February 22-26: The Food Network & Cooking Channel SOUTH FLORIDA WINE AND FOOD FEST is a national, star-studded, five-day destination event showcasing the talents of the world’s most renowned wine and spirits producers, chefs and culinary personalities.  Join Michael Schwartz, Marc Vetri and Jonathan Waxman on Thursday to celebrate 10 years of Genuine.  Or sign up for any one of the other star studded events featuring José Andrés, Trisha Yearwood, Neil Patrick Harris, Daniel Boulud, Bobby Flay and Martha Stewart,  just to name a few.  The Heineken Light Burger Bash hosted by Rachael Ray happens Friday night and is not to be missed!  Events vary from daily seminars to intimate dinners and tickets sell out fast.
